Y&R EP and Head Writer Josh Griffith Teases: “Phyllis Has Never Met a Disaster She Couldn’t Get Out Of”
This week, brings some very tough times for Y&R’s Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) when her plans for ultimate revenge on Diane (Susan Walters) backfires on her.
Although she scored a major victory in having her arch-nemesis Diane Jenkins arrested for her ‘murder’, Phyllis has been having second thoughts, especially after seeing how racked with guilt her daughter Summer (Alison Lanier) is.

As viewers saw last week, Phyllis attended her own memorial donning a black short wig and hiding in the corner. Now, as Phyllis tells Jeremy (James Hyde) she wants out of their dirty deal to frame Diane, and wants to return to the ‘living’, he is not so willing to part ways with her. That’s when things take a dangerous turn.
In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, The Young and the Restless’ executive producer and head writer, Josh Griffith previewed the looming situation. Josh shared that coming up, Jeremy “threatens to kill Phyllis.” However, Phyllis calls his bluff and believes he wouldn’t put his parole in jeopardy.

The head scribe also noted: “He (Jeremy) reminds her that everyone thinks she’s already dead, so no one would ever know that he disposed of her for real.” Meanwhile, Phyllis has a plan of her own to get away from the guy, but things take a deadly turn. Griffith notes: “Phyllis had never met a disaster she couldn’t get out of.”

I’m ready for Phyllis to go to LA and find out the fbi have been looking for diane but under her fake name she used. Phyllis asks why they are looking for her and they say she killed a man named Keemo and Phyllis is shocked and she tells them where diane is and her real name. She also makes a deal with them to say that Phyllis has been working for them for a few weeks. They also tell her that stark covered up the murder for diane so Phyllis tells them all about stark also. The fbi and Phyllis go to GC and Phyllis goes to Jack and tells him that diane killed his son Keemo and the fbi have the proof. She lets her family know that she’s been working with the fbi and the fbi confirm her participation. Diane is released from jail since Phyllis is alive but the fbi take her into custody and diane trys to explain that she had to get keemo out of the way so jack could meet ally but jack tells fbi to take that lying murderer away. That would be a great storyline. Not the dud Josh Griffith is peddling on us.

Absolutely! I would love for Phyllis and Diane to learn to co exist for Kyle and Summers sake and Jack. They have all been through enough. Phyllis can say that Stark kidnapped her and poisoned her by making her drink the stuff. When she woke up he had taken her to the motel and made her sign the phony marriage license. She killed him out of self defense. I just don’t think Diane and Phyllis should be involved in more lies that hurt their kids and Harrison. But speaking of Harrison, please cut that baby’s hair! Let him look like a little boy instead of a little sissy boy!

Okay, I thought I was a great storyline imagine after watching Soaps for 30+ years, but I bow to your superior talent! That is a PHENOMENAL way to move this storyline forward!! I don’t necessarily want Diane shipped off to prison forever because the character offers refreshing storylines but I do want Jack to get his comeuppance for his utter hypocrisy and I need moments of him looking and feeling stupid, and your idea is a great way for that to happen! If anyone from the Soap reads their audiences comments, I hope they see yours and run with it!

Double hockey sticks NO!! Phyllis brought Jeremy Stark to GC trying to hurt Diane instead of protecting those she claimed to love. Diane returned to reunite with her son and grandson and hoped for Jack forgiveness down the road. DIANE didn’t have a pray in hell of getting back with Jack until Phyllis once again chose her hatred over love. Now Diane is in jail and Phyllis had accidentally murdered Stark in defense until she cleaned the murder weapon and crime scene up plus moved the body. Phyllis is always her own worse enemy in creating chaos. I bet Summer, Nikki, Ashley and Lauren will love to put this on Diane but no, this is Karma showing Phyllis it’s tired of all the nasty things she did to hurt others to achieve what she wanted no matter what!!

Everyone knows JG and his writing staff are telegraphing the story of what happens next. Jeremy (who isn’t scary in the least even though he’s been in prison for white collar crime) will attempt to kill Phyllis but she’ll end up killing him instead. Then the story won’t be about Diane anymore. It will be about Phyllis. She’ll tell everyone Jeremy threatened her kids so she had do what he wanted.
The shows fans are smarter than JG and his team are. BIG Time.

This sounds great but they need to get rid of Diane, maybe for trying to poison Phillis. Stark just took advantage of the situation to get rid of Diane and kidnapped Phillis. Diane and Stark both go to jail.

Jermy needs to get hurt by Phyllis and then go back to jail and rot in Phyllis needs to go to jail for attempted murder for trying to kill Jermy.
I hope Stark gets charged with setting up Diane attempted murder of Phyllis and imprisonment. Get Diane away from Summer, and let Jack get his heart ripped out by Diane, I hate how stupid they’re making Jack look and I can’t stand Diane the character.

I sincerely hope that Phyllis can miraculously come out of this in a way that is positive for her. Her tactics to get rid of Diane were very bad, BUT Diane actually started all of this by returning from the dead by deceiving Jack’s granddaughter and actually manipulating everyone to get what she wanted. She actually DID take everything from Phyllis. Less not forget how diabolical Diane really is. My hope is for Phyllis to return in a way that is not too bad for her.

I hope Stark gets blackmailed by his paid ambulance assistant. Stark kidnaps him and both are involved in a fatal car crash. Phyllis, is found still alive in the wilderness, but fakes being injured in that ambulance accident and suffers temporary memory loss.
I want Phyllis to come out on top and Jeremy to be blamed for the whole scheme.

Phyllis will accidentally kill Jeremy in a struggle to save her own life. On returning to the living she will say Jeremy kidnapped her and forced the whole marriage death plan on her in order to frame Diane and steel Phyllis’s money. Lets see if she disposes of Jeremy’s body and claims he fled or seeks help to make the body disappear. In any case eventually a thread will pull loose and her story will unravel. Maybe Jeremy has a “good” twin brother that comes looking for him and gets together with Phyllis???

I would have liked to see Jeremy and Phyllis having a love relationship and Diane go down. I was hoping that Phyllis proved herself 100% right about Diane and her true colors came to light.
Jeremy dies and Phyllis comes back and claims he was holding her against her will to frame Diane and then she can be reunited with everyone and nobody knows the difference otherwise she will be hated by everyone. Or she comes back and says I’m not dead I was trying it out like Diane did but changed my mind now everyone better forgive me like you did for Diane!

I like the FBI storyline. And I like that Diane killed Jack’s son, to put him back with Phyllis. (Before young and restless loses the Phyllis character) Sorry for Kyle with that storyline but the whole town doesn’t like Diane for s reason. And it’s probably time it comes out as to why!

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Carly and Lulu Make Plans to Rescue Their Children; Anna Looks Determined to Secure Her Freedom
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, the race is on! Can Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) get to Rocco (Finn Carr) and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) in time to ensure their safety from Cullum (Andrew Hawkes)? Can Carly (Laura Wright) with the help of her brother, Lucas (Van Hansis) rescue Josslyn (Eden McCoy) from captivity at Wyndemere? These questions may be answered, plus the return of the one and only Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) are on tap!
In the just released General Hospital spoilers video for the week of June 22-26, Lulu tells her mother, Laura (Genie Francis), “Dante and I have to get to Rocco before Cullum!” Meanwhile, Rocco (Finn Carr) looks angered and emotional as Britt walks through their cabin hideout. Does Rocco know his parents are on the way to find them, or has Cullum already tracked them down to the British Virgin Islands?
Back in Port Charles, Carly is informing Lucas that his niece, “is a WSB agent.” She knows Josslyn (Eden McCoy) is being held against her will at Wyndemere, and she has to find a way to get her out. Lucas agrees with Carly’s plan of, “We go in and we don’t leave without Josslyn!” Elsewhere, Josslyn is looking worried for her future as she is stuck in captivity thanks to Cassius, Cullum and Sidwell!

The final moments of the teaser promo reveal Anna in a psychiatric clinic in France. We have not seen her for months after Cullum, Sidwell and Pascal fed her hallucinogenics to make her believe her arch nemesis, Cesar Faison was alive!
Now, the doctors walk towards her hospital bed, where we see the super spy calmly knitting. Is Anna back to normal and playing everyone to get out of her predicament, or does she still remain deeply traumatized … or both?

THURSDAY, JUNE 25
Josslyn clashes with Cassius. Lulu and Dante make a discovery. Chase receives a warning. Jordan seeks help. Alexis is summoned to the PCPD.
FRIDAY, JUNE 26
Anna takes a huge risk. Britt is in grave danger. Willow is in disbelief. Danny must act fast. Curtis jumps to the wrong conclusion.

Y&R Preview: Matt Clark Asks Phyllis on a Date, Would You Be Down for the Pairing? Roger Howarth & Michelle Previously in GH’s Franco/Nina Romance
The Young and the Restless seems to be toying with a potential romance between amnesiac Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Now, on all-new episodes of the top-rated soap opera, the official Y&R Preview for the week of June 22-26, shows a moment where Matt attempts to ask Phyllis out on a date!
The two are sitting at the GCAC having drinks. Suddenly, Matt says. “Once upon a time, there was a man who had no memory. And he met a woman. And then he asks her out on a date.” Phyllis looks at first confused, but then inquisitive? Would Phyllis even dare go out with Matt given what he has done to the former love of her life and father to her daughter, Summer, the one and only Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)?
If Y&R head writer, Josh Griffith does plan to go there, does Phyllis somehow fall in love with this guy, because she did see him come to the rescue of Nick when he OD’d? But, would Phyllis date Sharon’s (Sharon Case) rapist?

GENERAL HOSPITAL’S FRANCO AND NINA
This isn’t the first time that Daytime Emmy winners, Roger Howarth and Michelle Stafford have appeared on a soap as a romantic pairing? Look no further than then January of 2016 when both appeared on ABC’s General Hospital, when after months of dancing around their sexual tension, Franco Baldwin and Nina Reeves had sex. The two characters had quite the unstable past which drew them together.
After the sex scene aired on GH, and the series moved the relationship between the duo (known on social media as #nico) forward, Michelle Stafford spoke to Michael Fairman TV where she shared on working with Howarth.
At that time, Stafford expressed, “What woman doesn’t want to see Roger Howarth on-screen? He’s super sexy, and that is just that! (Laughs) With Roger, I am going to get a really great actor to work with, who likes to play, and really can act. I appreciate that about him. I am just really interested to see what the writers are ultimately going to do with these two characters.”
When addressing, why it took so long for Franco and Nina to hit the sheets, Stafford acknowledged, “You have to address it, because the audience is going to go, ‘Why are these two hot characters not ‘doing’ it’ These are two adults. It doesn’t make sense. They are so in love, and they are not consummating anything. So, when they made Nina so insecure about it, and being able to communicate to Franco how she felt, I thought, ‘OK, this works.’ She was scared, and that’s true. We are all scared when we sleep with someone we love for the first time. There is not one person who does not feel that way. I loved that about her. The woman in the audience really responded to that. They loved that there was a character who was afraid to hop in bed. It was refreshing to them, and that was the consensus.”

GENERAL HOSPITAL Promo: Rocco’s in a Panic as Britt’s Health Takes a Turn, Chase is Called to the Carpet
This week on General Hospital, who’s a fool, who’s a savior and who will avoid capture? That’s the questions that the latest video promo from the ABC daytime drama series offers up for episodes airing June 15-19.
First, after being taken to the PCPD, Tracy is fuming mad that Chase (Josh Swickard) once again believes in his ex-wife Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) word. This time, Willow claimed she was pushed into the water at the Quartermaine boathouse by Tracy (Jane Elliot). Now, racy tells Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Justine (Nazneen Contractor), “Willow Cain threw herself into the lake and this fool fell for it.” We already know, Justine has been side-eyeing Chase of how he repeatedly has taken the law into his own hands concerning his ex-wife. Will Chase EVER get a grip and realize Willow is a manipulative woman capable of heinous crimes?
Next, Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) comes loaded for bear to Carly’s (Laura Wright) along with two men from the WSB. He tells her that.“We have reason to believe that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is on the premises.” Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) is also there at the time and the two could not look more nervous or suspicious if they tried. Is Valentin already searching Wyndemere for Josslyn (Eden McCoy) at the time of Cullum’s unexpected arrival at Carly’s, or is he still hiding in her attic? Stay tuned.

Then, in the heart-stopping moment, its the first we have seen of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Rocco (Finn Carr) since thy went on the run. However, Rocco enters their hideaway and cries, “No! No! No! No!” He sees an unconscious Britt lying on the floor, and fears the worse. We already know she does not have the medication she needs to prevent her Huntington’s disease symptoms from progressing. In a panic, he makes a desperate phone call. But to who? Rocco says, “I need your help!
