Y&R’s Michelle Stafford Pens Farewell Message to James Hyde: “Thank You For Being Such a Positive Spirit On Set and a Great Scene Partner”
Monday’s episode of The Young and the Restless brought with it what appears to be the shocking death of Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) at the hands of Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), or is it?
During the disturbing and emotional scenes, Phyllis wants to let her children know she is alive and return to the land of the ‘living’ after she and Stark made it appear she died, in their efforts to frame Diane (Susan Walters) and put her behind bars for good.

Now, hiding out in a motel room, Phyllis had let Jeremy know she wants out, and yet he won’t let her leave. This leads to showdown where Stark grabs a scissor and goes after Phyllis who runs into the bathroom. In the scene that follows, Phyllis is covered in blood, and so too is the scissors, and a body is wrapped in sheets on the motel room floor. Phyllis drags the body out and her cover-up begins. Looks like in self-defense Phyllis killed the guy!
Later, Michelle Stafford took to her Instagram account to share a few words on her co-star, since this would mark James Hyde’s last airdate. Stafford shared: “SPOILER ALERT!!!!” Ok, just so folks don’t get mad. Hey @jameshydeofficial thank you for being SUCH A JOY to work with!! We ALL love you! Thank you for being such a positive spirit on set and a great scene partner. I’m sorry the marriage was short lived and I’m sorry I stabbed you to death ✂️ Those scissors sure were sharp 🥴But… ya know, Jeremy can always have a twin brother. 😉 Go Kill it! 🖤 ”
Meanwhile, on an Instagram Live, Hyde confirmed his exit by answering a fan’s question: “This is the end for him.” But later added, “We’re doing a soap, so you never know.” He then requested of his ‘live’ participants to let the powers-that-be at Y&R if they want him to return: “Whatever you guys want to happen, join forces and let them know.” James also revealed that he ‘loved the character’ of Jeremy Stark, adding, “It’s unfortunate the way it happened, but that’s the way it goes.”

I was hoping this scene was just a bad dream ! I love his character, you never knew what to expect. I have seen James through the years on other soaps , I just got to say he was amazing!! I love to watch him . Please bring him back

I agree. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. There are so many hypocrites on this soap. Victor faked his death, but somehow he is forgiven for all his sins. Everyone on that show has done despicable acts but somehow they are forgiven. People do change and deserve a 2nd chance. Give Diane a break and let Jack be happy!! Phyllis is a complete nut case!

Kyle is forgiving because he missed her growing up and he got his mom back. Look at the dumb, bratty Summer, with all the horrible things her mother has done, including faking her own death, I don’t see her having any problem forgving Phyllis. I hope her kids never forgive her. Like everyone says, Phyllis was never afraid of anyone, let alone Diane. I feel sorry for her having that daughter-in-law from hell.

I think Phyllis should stay in hiding until Diana is in jail for good I don’t like her and want her gone but if Phyllis reappears Diana is free and she wins what was all the plotting for Phyllis if you let her win
I would love for Phyllis to pull off a self defense claim, blame stark for framing Diane and get Diane freed. Phyllis becomes a hero for being the one to free Diane and absolve herself. Her children are thrilled and Kyle & Jack along with Michael get to be right about Diane’s innocence. On soaps you never if a person dead for sure. They didn’t show what or who rap in the Sheets. Who no he could pop up months from now. How’s now going show up alive with Jeremy already dead. Phyllis should have called the police and acted like Jeremy had held her hostage and forced her to marry him, staged her death to get Diane put in jail. He tried to kill her when she tried to escape, they fought and she stabbed him. Could gave been her way home.

I was surprised, it was an unexpected ending for me, but it worked. I thought he would kidnap Phyllis and hold her captive for awhile. It will be fun to see how she spins her return to Genoa City.

I don’t understand this story line. Her being able to get Stark instead of him getting her gave her the perfect out! She could have blamed it all on him, and went home! She could have stated he kidnapped her from the ambulance, and was holding her captive. She could have stated he forged the marriage to him. The whole thing is a really big mess now! Been watching Y&R since day#1 and I’m sorry to say this, but I’m happy to see Jeremy Stark go. One problem, though….I do find it somewhat difficult believing Phyllis able to overtake him alone and killing him. Then, again, I’ve been surprised before at storyline endings. Honestly, Phyllis should have made it look as though Stark was holding her captive/kidnapped her to set Diane up, but she was able to turn the tables on him before he could kill her! This whole scheme would have been put on Stark and she would have been able to come back to her kids…..no harm no foul!!

DAYS and GH Alum Tyler Christopher Arrested for Public Intoxication
Daytime Emmy-winner, Tyler Christopher (ex-Nikolas, GH; ex-Stefan, DAYS) was arrested for public intoxication at the Burbank, California airport, this past Friday, on May 26th.
According to the Burbank PD and reports obtained by TMZ, Tyler was arrested after they found him asleep and on the ground at the American Airlines terminal. The officers noted that Tyler displayed clear and objective signs of drinking. They also reveal he was unable to care of himself.
Christopher, who remains a fan favorite as the former Nikolas Cassadine on GH and Stefan DiMera on DAYS has opened up and discussed his battle with alcoholism in the past. Last year, he appeared on former GH co-star Maurice Benard’s You Tube series, State of Mind.

Tyler was released from police custody following his airport arrest, cited, and will need to appear in court at a later date.
Back in 2019, the popular actor was cited for two counts of misdemeanor public intoxication and landed in jail for two days, following an arrest in Indiana.

Y&R Alum Sasha Calle to Henry Cavill on Her ‘Supergirl’ : “Did I Make You Proud, Cuz? Did Superman Approve?”
In just a few weeks time on June 16th, The Flash will drop in theatres nationwide, and moviegoers will get to see former Y&R star Sasha Calle in her major film debut as Supergirl.
Calle played by Lola Rosales on the CBS daytime drama series from September of 2018 till June of 2021. Now Sasha, who won the coveted role of Supergirl from the film’s director Andy Muschietti, will be mixing it up with other superheroes in the The Flash.

EW reports that in real life, Calle actually met Henry Cavill (formerly Superman) and got his reaction to her taking on the pivotal role. Back in December of 2022, Cavill revealed he was hanging up his cape, although various reports originally had him making a cameo in The Flash.
Sasha shared, “I met him (Cavill) actually after the movie was done, months later. I gave him a big hug. You know, it’s Henry Cavill, man! Our Man of Steel. He is kind and very proper, and it was a great experience.”
She went on to say, “I asked him, ‘Did I make you proud, cuz? Does Superman approve?'” And he was like, ‘Absolutely. You did a phenomenal job.’ I think, to me, that meant the world, because it’s Henry Cavill, Man of Steel.”
