Jack, Abby, and Nikki prepare for the Abbott Memorial Day pool party and barbeque. Sarge invites Harmony to attend a barbeque with him and she accepts. She declines when she learns it’s at the Abbott home. She opens up to Sarge about the situation with Tucker and Ashley. Paul informs Avery that he is worried that Ricky may have done something to prevent his meeting with Craig Hunt. Meanwhile, Eden approaches Daisy and demands to know how she could sublet her apartment to Ricky. When Eden learns Noah has no place to stay, she invites Noah to move into her apartment. Daisy and Ricky break into Phyllis’ house.

Later, Daniel realizes that Lucy’s pacifier is missing and decides to head over to Phyllis’. Christine and Danny discuss the irony that Phyllis’ son is in the same situation she caused for them years ago. Passion takes over as Danny and Christine make love. After making love, they wistfully wonder why things never worked out for them.

At the Abbott pool party, Noah hesitates to accept Eden’s offer to become her roommate. When Eden updates Noah on Ricky, he agrees to move in for a short while. Meanwhile, Danny is irritated that Phyllis didn’t inform Paul about his strange interview with Ricky. Paul advises everyone that his son may be dangerous. Daisy and Ricky search Phyllis’ apartment when Daniel arrives. They stay hidden while Daniel finds Lucy’s pacifier and exits. Ricky orders Daisy to make another copy of Phyllis’ key on her way back to the party. At the Abbott’s, Daisy panics when she learns that Phyllis has gone home already. Meanwhile, Phyllis is unable to find her apartment key and heads back to the Abbott home. Daisy pretends to find it on the floor. Ricky researches Dr. Tim Reid on the internet. He places a call to Tim and says that he’s working on a book about Phyllis. Tim refuses to speak about Phyllis. Paul desperately asks Christine to help him obtain the autopsy report from Rachel’s death. He’s stunned to learn that a man matching Craig Hunt’s description has died in a car accident. Jack informs Kyle that he’s engaged to Nikki. Kyle is upset that his dad has rushed into marriage with Nikki, but he won’t try to stop the wedding. Michael receives a job offer to be the new District Attorney, which Lauren is against.

Danny shares his fears about Daniel’s marriage to Daisy. Daisy returns and Danny says goodbye to his son and daughter-in-law. Later, Daisy tries to lure Daniel into bed, but he pulls away. She warns him that their marriage needs to include sex if he wants to see his daughter. Paul informs Christine that Craig Hunt died in a car accident. Christine advises him not to jump to conclusions, as there is no proof Ricky was involved. Later, Christine informs Paul that Rachel died the same way that Isabella tried to kill Christine. Christine bumps into Danny at the GCAC and is surprised to hear he’s leaving town today. Ricky tries to convince Tim to discuss Phyllis. Tim is reluctant to talk until Ricky offers him a bottle of expensive wine. When Tim leaves the room, Ricky digs through some boxes and steals Phyllis’ file. Avery encourages Michael to accept the position, which annoys Lauren. Later, Michael calls the mayor to accept the job. However, he insists that Heather Stevens must be re-hired. Avery is stunned when Phyllis asks her to be maid of honor at her wedding. She happily accepts.

Phyllis asks Michael for help legal advice, but he responds that he can’t because he is about to become interim District Attorney. Paul informs Avery that his source for information about Ricky just died in a car accident. Avery points out that the evidence points to a DUI, but Paul is still concerned that Ricky might be involved. At his apartment, Ricky peruses Phyllis’ psychiatric file. Ricky is interrupted when Paul arrives. Ricky offers some insincere conversation and shows him the door. Later, Dr. Reid advises Ricky to look into Phyllis’ activities around Christmas of 1994. Danny stops by the GCAC to say goodbye to Christine. They express their sadness at being apart, and he asks her to go on tour with him. Christine sadly states that they missed their chance to be together, and they share an emotional farewell kiss. Phyllis meets with Avery and asks her for legal help with Daniel, and Avery agrees. Avery also advises Phyllis to stay away from Ricky. Later, Phyllis confesses her history with Danny to Avery. At Gloworm, Billy and Victoria are annoyed when Victor enters with Sharon on his arm. Billy makes a snide comment to Victor, who says that he will never change his negative opinion of Billy. Meanwhile, Sharon approaches Victoria and asks for a truce. After Victoria insults Sharon, Sharon informs her that she slept with Billy. Later, Victoria confronts Billy about sleeping with Sharon. At the ranch, Victor gets a call from Victoria who informs him that Sharon and Billy slept together. Sharon enters from the kitchen and Victor coldly asks her to leave.

DANCING WITH THE STARS: Chrishell Stause Shares & Performs Emotional Tribute To Her Late Parents

It has been a challenging few years for former soap and current Selling Sunset star, Chrishell Stause, who is currently still in the running for the Mirror Ball Trophy following Monday night’s competition on Dancing with the Stars.

Last night, Chrishell shared in the pre-dance package that she was performing a contemporary routine with her pro partner, Gleb Savchenko, in honor of both of her parents who died from lung cancer in July of 2020 and April 2019.

Photo: ABC

Stause expressed: “They were really loving people. Some of my best memories are with my mom, dancing with her in the living room.  No one would be more excited about me being here and doing the show than her.” (referring to her mom who passed away this summer).  She continued on to say: “Right before I dance, I really feel her calm me, encourage me. That has been the most special thing I will take away from this show.  I know that my parents are with me. My mom’s name was Renee Stause, and my dad’s name was Jeff Stause. And this dance is for them.”

Dancing to “Stars” by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Chrishell and Gleb delivered the most emotional performance of the night.  And the judges took notice, as Carrie Ann Inaba said to Stause: “You poured your heart and soul into that dance.   Bruno added: “That was so emotionally engaging, so raw, so truthful, irresistible because you gave everything you have.”  While the three judges including Derek Hough also gave a rougher technical critique of her to improve upon next week, Chrishell and Gleb still scored all eights and 24 out of 30 overall.

At the end of the night, during the reveal of who was safe and who was in the bottom two, host Tyra Banks revealed that Chrishell and Gleb were safe.

Then, after combining the scores and fans’ votes, in the bottom two were Johnny Weir and Vernon Davis.  In a close decision, Derek chose to save Johnny, and Carrie Ann chose Vernon. So, it was up to Bruno to cast the deciding vote and he saved Johnny, sending Davis, the former NFL Pro football star, home.

Watch Chrishell’s emotional dance below.   Then let us know if you are rooting for Chrishell and what you thought of the very personal story she shared last night via the comment section below.

DANCING WITH THE STARS: Jesse Metcalfe Eliminated, Chrishell Stause Gets A Surprise From NKOTB

Last night on  ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, another soap opera alumni’s journey on the ballroom dance floor came to an end, when Jesse Metcalfe’s (Passions, Desperate Houswives and Dallas) ) and his pro partner, Sharna Burgess, were sent home by the judges after landing in the bottom two.

After combining the judges scores and fan voting at home, the other couple joining Jesse and Sharna in the bottom two were  Vernon Davis and Peta Murgatroyd.  This season it is up to the judges to choose who stays and who goes when forced with picking between the two lowest scoring couples of the night.. Bruno chose Vernon, Carrie Ann followed and Derek also revealed he would have saved Davis or Metcalfe as well.

With Metcalfe eliminated following last’s week’s departure of Ex-Another World’s Anne Heche, that leaves only Chrishell Stause still in the running vying for the Mirror Ball Trophy from the world of daytime drama.

Here’s a recap of what went down on the dance floor for Metcalfe, Stause and Davis last night.

Jesse Metcalfe and Sharna Burgess – (Tango) – “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”

Dancing to the classic by Tears for Fears, Metcalfe promised in the pre-package to loosen up and show a more human and vulnerable side to his dancing.  However, although there was a bit more coming from Jesse this outing, the judges criticized him for needing more technique than just performance. SCORE 19 out of 30

Chrishell Stause and Gleb Savchenko (Cha-Cha)  – “The Right Stuff”

Revealing to all on the pre-package, Chrishell is a huge New Kids on the Block fan from back in her teens, and was stoked to dance to their song during the night’s 80’s competition,   However, during the performance, while Stause has shown improvement, this time the judges noted she seemed to slow down to much during the dance and also she needs to watch her footwork.  After Gleb and Chrishell danced, Tyra Banks had a surprise for Chrishell when the NKOTB sent in a viral video message to their biggest fan!  Stause was overjoyed.  SCORE 19 out of 30

Vernon Davis and Peta Murgatroyd –  (Tango) – “Living’ on a Prayer”

Performing to Bon Jovi’s classic “Living on a Prayer”, Davis donned some rocker dude long locks and hit the floor with Murgatroyd, but the former pro football star looked stiff moving around the ballroom.  Judge Bruno noted that his footwork was a bit flat.  However, Carrie Ann shared she liked the quality of movement he was showing them.  SCORE 21 out of 30

So after looking at the clips of their performances below, did the right person get sent home in Metcalfe vs. Davis?  Do you think Chrishell can hold out longer on the series through the next rounds of competition?  Let us know in the comments section. (Also check out the moment when NKOTB message to Stause is played during the broadcast.)

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Mike’s Funeral Brings The Alzheimer’s Storyline Full Circle to Its Heart-Tugging Conclusion

When a soap opera allows a full episode to stay in the story they are telling, it can often make for a riveting hour of television.  This was the case and then some on Thursday’s emotional ending to General Hospital’s Alzheimer’s storyline; when the character of Mike Corbin (Max Gail) was given a proper send-off – a funeral – and being eulogized by those who loved and cared for him.

When GH is at its best through the years has been when it tackles social issues of our time, and this story will stand among the iconic soap’s best.  The backdrop of the story was that of father and son, grappling with and coming to terms with the past, finding love, forgiveness and redemption against this most horrific of diseases that has afflicted so many.

In the episode, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright) go to church and prepare themselves for the emotional day as mourners come through and share their grief and condolensces and love for Mike.  Those included: Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth – back for this one), Stella (Vernee Watson), Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and a touching moment between Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) and Carly where the legal eagle says to Carly that if she ever needs to drink and vent let her know.

As the funeral begins, one by one Mike’s family and friends say beautiful words of what he meant to them,. Michael reflects about how his grandfather loved to party and how he’d like them all to raise a glass for him. . Olivia, speaks on behalf of Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), and how close Mike and Dante were.  Ava (Maura West) talks about the love and kindness and joy he brought to little Avery.

When Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) got up to speak, things became even more heartbreaking when she flashes back to a scene where she was having a terrible time and Mike was there for – always a great listener- but he tells he eventually, he will not remember her.

GH did a outstanding job of selecting scenes throughout the eulogies that punctuated who Mike was … and how he tied in to all of the characters lives.  Jason (Steve Burton) shared how he knew it wasn’t easy for Mike to come back and try to make amends with Sonny, but that no matter what, Mike kept trying to get through to Sonny to make things right between them.

Stella’s moment was also heartbreaking recalling the man who became her friend.  Carly, who was the glue that held Sonny and the family together during Mike’s illness, shared her doubt if the family could handle Mike, and what was to come, but how Sonny helped his father find inner-peace..

When Sonny gets up to talk he reveals he had a lot of anger towards his father, and how the illness made him truly see the man his dad was inside.  Sonny tells his dad he is proud of him and how grateful he was that he came back into his life.   Next, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) sings as the mourners reflect back on Mike in a touching series of juxtaposed clips against the characters in the moment at the funeral.

After the service had concluded Sonny and Carly talk how Morgan and Mike are together now, but Sonny asks for some time alone in the church. It is then Mike appears and tells his son it’s time he forgave himself, since Sonny forgave Mike.  He tells Sonny that he has made him very proud.  As he gets up to leave he kisses Sonny on the forehead and goes towards the light and to heaven.  Just after that, Dante appears at the front of the church, shocking Sonny in a beautiful analogy that now this father and son must deal with what’s ahead in their relationship, just as Sonny and Mike had done.

This episode featured beautiful work by Maurice Benard, and Max Gail and everyone in the supporting cast who had their moments.  It was an ensemble piece but led by Benard and Gail, who should both be receiving Emmys in 2021 for their work..
