In an amazing moment on Monday shared on social media by The Young and the Restless star Greg Rikaart (Kevin), the actor revealed he has become a father!

Rikaart took to his Instagram with a photo of himself alongside his husband, TV writer Robert Sudduth, and the new addition to their family, Montgomery Argo Rikaart-Sudduth.

Greg shared his joy with the world with his post:  “We fight hate, fear, bigotry, homophobia and injustice in the world with love, intellect and enlightenment. In the truest and most pure definitions of the latter words, it is with full hearts that Rob and I take great pride in introducing our son, Montgomery Argo Rikaart-Sudduth.   He was born in Roseville, CA at 5:01pm on 6/12/16. He is light and love and magic. Monte, Rob, myself and Marcela, our trooper of a surrogate, are all doing fantastic.”

Send your congratulations and well-wishes to Greg and Robert in the comment section below!

Wow, wonderful news Greg. I hope you and Robert enjoy your bundle of joy. Congrats and God bless. I am getting married, to my boyfriend in 2 weeks. I am nervous, we have had our ups and downs. I came out of the closet 2 years ago, I am comfortable with myself and love my soon to be husband very much. I am 30 years old, and soon to be husband is 32 years old. To the tragedy in Orlando Florida, let’s pray for the family of the victims. We are all devasted in what happened on Sunday. Amen. I… Read more »

Celia, you and so many here have been so gracious — it is so refreshing. And, as you mentioned elsewhere in reply to me, I don’t have any patience for Dark Ages-thinking or intolerance. Take care, Friend!

Celia,

More and more, I get TOTALLY ANGRY whenever I read articles about or see news reports on TV about certain countries condemning gay people!!!!! Beyond sad.

Later, my friend.

A birth of a child always instills hope and after the events of last few days, a little hope is always welcome. Praying when this child is a man the world has become a kinder and gentler place for all.

I am truly shocked to know this actor Greg Rikaart is actually gay…. He’s a man that any woman would desire to have as an husband, but hearing of him being gay it’s a shock to me. My country Jamaica doesn’t support gays at all.

Well, no, I wouldn’t want to have him as a husband as he doesn’t ‘like’ women. 😉 Anyway, that’s why it’s called acting! 🙂

Casey, I wish you’d clarify your remarks — for your own sake. I can’t tell whether you agree or disagree with your “country Jamaica.” Thanks.

I don’t know what’s worse, James….living in the Dark Ages or intolerance….or do they cancel each other out?????
I wish I understood Casey’s point?
WOW!! Later, my friend.

James…it seems to me that Casey lives in the Dark Ages (or whatever). Very, very sad.

Later, Brother.

For years I’ve thought of Greg Rikaart as the ideal man: talented, funny, clearly compassionate and with a strong social conscience. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s one of the few actors who know how to wear clothes or that he has a killer smile and gorgeous hair. I’m glad he’s happy and has someone who appreciates him and they can share their love with a very blessed child. At least something good happened this week!

Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers Exit Days of our Lives

Coming up on Days of our Lives, both Lani and Eli Grant will be written off the canvas to facilitate the departures of Lamon Archey (Eli) and Sal Stowers (Lani).

According to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, Archey who stepped into the role in 2017, has made the decision to leave the long-running NBC soap opera, and will last air the week of July 4.

As for Stowers, she will last air on Friday, July 1st, and given her current storyline, it looks like Lani, who has confessed to murdering TJ (William Christian), will either be sent to prison, or will exit Salem with Eli.

This would not be the first-time that Stowers has departed DAYS.  After her debut in 2015, she was off the Salem canvas for a six-month break in 2016, before returning to the show through 2022.

We will share more information on Lamon and Sal’s exits as it comes to light.

Y&R Daytime Emmy Nominees, Jason Thompson and Melissa Ordway, Test Positive for Covid-19

In some heartbreaking news, two of The Young and the Restless Daytime Emmy nominees, Jason Thompson (Billy) and Melissa Ordway (Abby), both have tested positive for Covid-19 and will now be unable to attend tomorrow night’s 49th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards to be telecast on CBS.  The actors were in Monte Carlo, Monaco last week for the 61st annual Monte Carlo TV Festival.

Thompson, a previous Emmy-winner, who is up in the Lead Actor in a Drama Series category, shared the news via an Instagram video and also expressing in his post: “After 2.5 years of dodging Covid…I finally tested positive! I’m very sorry to say I won’t be attending the @daytimeemmys tomorrow night and that’s a bummer!! To all my fellow nominees and friends, I wish you all the best, have a fantastic night celebrating what we do. To the best fans in the world, like most of you I will be watching from home cheering on our favorites on @cbstv!! Thank you for an amazing year @youngandrestlesscbs and @sonypictures. I’ll be back to work in a week or so to try and earn another invite to the big night!!! Lots is love! ♥️”

Meanwhile, Melissa Ordway then shared she also tested positive for Covid. Ordway is a first-time nominee in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category.  In a heartfelt message, Melissa stated: It has always been a dream of mine to be nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award and to bring my parents to the show. It was about to come true, until I tested positive for Covid yesterday afternoon. I’m so disappointed that I won’t be able to celebrate with everyone on Friday. I’ve cried lots of tears.  Thankfully, I’m asymptomatic. I’m super grateful no one in our home is sick. What a blessing.  To my Daytime community, have the best time. Wish I could be there but I’ll be watching from home and cheering on all of the nominees! Y&R bring home the gold! Love you all! And to everyone at CBS and Sony thank you for everything. So grateful to play Abby. @youngandrestlesscbs.  To my amazing parents, I’m so sorry that this weekend has fallen apart. I was so excited to attend the awards with you. This nomination was because you always believed in me. I love you. To everyone who’s cheered me on, sent me well wishes and love and support, it means more to me than you’ll ever know. I love Daytime and I’m honored to be a part of this talented group! Cheering from my couch! Xoxoxo Melissa”
