Y&R's Judith Chapman Heads To The Bold and The Beautiful!

Will Gloria and Eric Forrester be a love-match? Could this mean that the under-utilized and talented Judith Chapman (Gloria) might get a chance to shine on The Bold and the Beautiful instead of Y&R? Or, is this simply a one time crossover?
Why that is yet to be answered, there is an interesting item out today from TV Guide Magazine’s Michael Logan. In it, he reveals that today Chapman is shooting an episode of B&B that will air on November 20th.
What brings Glo to LA? The Ridge-Caroline fashion show! And when she attends the big splashy event, she will once again cross paths with Eric Forrester (John McCook)!
A rep for B&B told TVG: “Expect some business talk and a little flirting. Gloria and Eric met on Y&R last year when he crossed over for the Victor-Nikki wedding. She promised him then that she’d someday come to one of the Forrester fashion shows…and, well, here she is!”
So, should Gloria come over to The Bold and the Beautiful full-time to be a love interest for Eric? Share your thoughts below!
Gloria is a flat-out blast! I love her character and her whole crazy family on Y&R! I’m glad she’s getting to make an appearance on B&B, but I hope it doesn’t mean she’s leaving Y&R. Even if she is woefully underutilized!
If she would be used more on B&B, I’d be happy to see her move there. We see her once every couple months on Y&R, for one scene, and that’s it. Gloria should divorce Jeffrey and move to LA for a fresh start at Forrester Creations!
I love Gloria. I think she is a fantastic actress and I get such a laugh when she plays mommy to Michael & Kevin. I would love to see more of her on Y& R. I also love the new Billy Abbott but mostly with Chelsea and the new Phyllis owned that role when she walked into the church.
why not go to b&b – y&r doesn’t utilize her talents……………maybe b&b wil
Her talent is sorely underused at Y so hopefully at B she’ll be given something meaty to sink her teeth into…i might tune in for that…also let her be Quinns Aunt…it’ll tie her to the show and give her more to do…just sayin’!!!
You said it: an under used talent on YnR. Hate to see her go but if it means more action for Chapman they should definitely take her.
Can’t wait. I love Glo and wish she were on Y&R more. She is who got me hooked on Y&R in the first place!
Yes!! I would watch!!
Thats wonderful news, I love Judith Chapman as Gloria Fisher Bardwell. Young and The Restless need to put Judith back on contract. Gloria and Eric can have a romance in the future, maybe Judith can do both soaps.
This would be great IF the B&B powers-that-be would make her a strong lead character and give Erik a prominent story with her. She would be a great foil for everyone in the family who might suspect her motives. And lo, a love interest that is not incestuous. what a concept! Be nice to see Brooke spar with someone other than her sisters and a catalyst for convening the original Forrester four children.
Drop in on Deacon and catch up while you’re there.
Chapman under contract to appear as Gloria would be a GREAT addition to B&B. She has been completely wasted on Y&R for the past 3-4 years.
B&B has always been campier than Y&R and the hammy Gloria would fit nicely into the show. Moreover, Gloria would be a great choice as a new love interest for Eric. She is age appropriate and would be some much needed “new blood” on the show.
Hopefully, this means that Gloria has split from “Gary Ewing.” Ted Shackelford is a fine actor but it seems that, ever since Gloria met him following the death of John Abbott, the woman has been completely marginalized on Y&R. I’d like to see Gloria front and center of a show and involvement with Eric would be an easy way to do that. If that means “Gary Ewing” has go, then so long Shackelford!!!!
Judith is a classy, sassy lady. Judith is 62 years and looks gorgeous, for her age. We need Gloria on both soaps. Imagine the ratings for both soaps, if she gets involved with Eric Forrester. The ratings would hit the roof. lol.
She has been for the last three years touring in the play vivian/based on vivian leigh Gone With The Wind fame she is absolutely wonderful in it. I think this is just a cross over but she has been busy. Great actress.
One of the many problems with Y&R is that they don’t use this great actress and her fun character enough.
As much as I would love to see Gloria and Eric together because Eric deserve a big boy romance with a woman his own age and not someone whose bedded half the family. Another part of me wants Gloria in GC should Michael have cancer/
I want to see how Michael’s illness and treatment affects the whole Baldwin family including Gloria. I would love for Michael’s father to come back for the it too. But if they kill off Michael, then Gloria should definitely move to LA (B&B) -that character and the actress who plays her are too good to let go into oblivion.
Thats true, she needs to be there for Michael. Being on B&B, she can flip flop from show to show, story permitting.
Y&R better not even think of killing off Michael! Christian LeBlanc, like Judith Chapman, is a true gem to the show. He’s a fantastic actor and the character has been around for so long, why would they kill him off? If they want to do a story about a character with cancer who dies of it, let it be Lily, not Michael.
I wish they had killed off Lilly when she had cancer. I know CLB will knock this story out of the park, but he better survive!
OMG not Michael. I agree kill off Lily or Summer. They take too much time up from other more important actors and their useless,
I LOVE this!!!! I’m sure Pam will give her 2 cents if Gloria gets with Eric!!!! But honestly, I wish they would bring back Jackie…her chemistry with Eric was THROUGH THE ROOF!!! They can breakup Jackie and Owen, and put Owen with Steffy, Hope or Ivy!!! Lol
YES! I miss Jackie and Nick so badly! And it’s not like they even explained why the Marone’s aren’t competition for Forrester anymore, they’re just gone! And where is Jack, Brooke’s other son? She never EVER mentions him. And for that matter, she hardly ever talks about R.J. much either.
But you’re right, I hate the Jackie/Owen marriage. Owen should be with Steffy, I loved their chemistry when he first joined the show. Bridget should be back with Nick because they were great together, and Jackie should be with Eric. Too bad almost all these great characters aren’t on the canvas anymore!
I feel like you are reading my mind!!!! Owen and Steffy had SO much chemistry the brief moment they flirted!! He’ll, bring back his twin, Casper!!! Haha!! Its weird they don’t mention Brooke’s son, Jack, so whenever he comes on, it’ll be interesting to hear where he’s been!!! RJ needs to be aged bc he was originally closer in age to Hope!!! I could get into a Gloria/Eric/Jackie triangle, but I would want Jackie to win!! Jacqueline Forrester would rock the show!!!!
Only if she can “replace” Brooke on the show. In a dignified way of course.
It would be much better than Eric panting after young girls. John McCook must either be very embarrassed to play Eric, or else love the hell out of it!
Love, love, love her. I miss her already on Y&R. I loved the way her sons would grimace when she would say something which they didn’t want to hear.
Why did Y&R waster this woman’s rich, multi-textured and comedic talents?
Like Tristan Rogers, she is a true gem.
Wow, it would be great if JC was contract on BB cause it is just awful right now.
KKL is not a grande dame matriarch bitch like JC could play. 2 of them wouldn’t hurt either like in the days of Stepanie and Sally.
Is she crossing over as Gloria or is she playing a new role? Jennifer Gareus will be on B&B but bit as Donna.
I would love to see, however, it probably won’t come to fruition,. Eric chosing Carter as the co-CEO, along with Brooke. This would put both Rick and Ridge in their place and make Maya turn GREEN !!!
Judith Chapman is a true gem. Her incredibly acting and comedic talents are being wasted on Y&R, and it’s such a shame given how front-and-center she used to be. I really like the character of Gloria, and I really wish they’d put her back on contract.
But, it is definitely time Eric has a new love interest, and one that isn’t silly like Donna. It would be fantastic to see Eric with Gloria, she would be such a foil for everyone in the family, and I would love to see her and Brooke go toe-to-toe. Even better would be if Quinn turns out to be Gloria’s daughter! Imagine that!
Just put her in one corner with Rena Sofer in the other and let the Cougar battle begin. I have loved her all the way back to her earliest bad girl days on ATWT as the original Natalie Hughes
Don’t stay away too long. Michael needs his mom and GC needs Gloria.
Would love to see Gloria and Eric, BB could use her..
I think that Judith Chapman should go to B&B…FOR GOOD!!!!! IMO, her talents are being W-A-S-T-E-D at Y&R!!!!! And…I think that an Eric/Gloria pairing would give B&B a much needed SHOT IN THE ARM!!!!! I would VERY GLADLY watch an Eric/Gloria romance…IMO, that would make A LOT MORE SENSE than that TIRED AND PLAYED OUT Brooke and Liam/Hope/Wyatt NONSENSE!!!!! And…how many more times is Quinn gonna beg THAT ANNOYING AND SELF-RIGHTEOUS Hope for forgiveness?!?!?! G-A-G!!!!! Beyond lame.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
