Y&R’s Michael Mealor on Kyle’s Relationship Woes: “He’s Appalled that Summer Openly Lied to Him. So, a Wall Has Gone Up”

If you caught Monday’s episode. and have seen this week’s promo for The Young and the Restless, you know what lies ahead. It looks like the end of Skyle, as we know it, certainly for now.

Kyle (Michael Mealor) wants a formal separation from his wife, Summer (Allison Lanier).  He cannot get past what their moms did to each other and how Summer kept quiet about Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) being alive, which sent his mother, Diane (Susan Walters) to prison.

On Y&R, Kyle doesn’t want to hear Summer’s explanations of desperation to save her mother.  He announces, “I think we need some time … to see what’s left, if anything.”  He actually wants her out of the house, especially when Summer tells Kyle that Diane is guilty of much more than Phyllis is.

Kyle continues to lash out and that sets the stage for him hitting the sheets with scheming Audra.  In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, Mealor shared Kyle’s state of mind: “He knows right from wrong in this situation (with Phyllis), and he’s appalled that Summer openly lied to him. So a wall has gone up and he’s actually cold toward her and she’s not handling it well.  He thinks a separation would allow them to process things and maybe even heal.”

But when a liquored up Kyle chats with Audra (Zuleyka Silver) at the GCAC bar, Mealor shared, “He’s buried in pain and she’s distracting him from that.”

Since yesterday’s episode of Y&R and Kyle’s treatment of Summer, soap social media has been a bit abuzz of who is in the wrong and who is in the right.  Meanwhile, Alison Lanier took to Twitter and shared this week’s Y&R promo with Kyle having sex with Audra, stating, “Well, THAT didn’t take long!”

So, do you hope a reconciliation for Kyle and Summer happens sooner than later? Is it all too much water under the bridge, now that Kyle will have slept with Audra? Are you Team Skyle or Team ‘Get a New Life’ for Summer and Kyle? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

Well,Kyle just slept with the devils mistress! That will solve a lot!

The Devil’s Mistress! I love it. Well, karma is a bitch and so is Audra. He choose the wrong woman to cheat with- she will make him pay. Vile Kyle has never been a good man. He betrayed his father by teaming up with Victor and he cheated on Lola when they were married with Summer. And Lola did nothing to deserve his shabby treatment.

Not sure I like either of them that much any more, but I hate Kyle’s ‘holier than thou’ attitude and I did love Summer letting him have it about the fact that his mother had done worse in leaving him at a young age and faking her death. Not saying there isn’t enough blame to go around, and that Kyle doesn’t have a right to be angry, but he has a short memory. He even blamed Summer for his mother’s lie about Harrison when Summer did not know Diane was going to do that.

I probably lean towards Summer because I will always be on Team Phyllis, no matter what; and I still hate Diane. May not be logical but there it is. Besides Kyle IS coming across so arrogant and is getting on my last nerve.

I totally agree with everything you said.
On top of all that, it’s amazing how little Kyle cares about Harrison losing yet another mother.
I hope that Kyle and his horrible mother live happily ever after alone together.

Kyle can’t act himself out of a paper bag so I guess sheet scenes are a last resort.

He is horrible in that role!

He is. He looks like he’s acting.

Kyle really needs to wear a bow tie. It would fit his dandy, pompous, swarmy persona.

And here it is—the same old same old soap cure-all. Cheat on your partner to solve your problems—with a fortune-climbing slut to boot, and vice versa.
The only good thing here will be to see Chance with Summer—no Sharon, please!! Enough of the Mommy syndrome.
Kyle is a spoiled brat—Do as I say not as I do. Summer may be wrong; but what child would have given her/his mother up? Of all people, Kyle should be the most understanding.
Aside—Diane’s manipulating Jack is finally out in the open ( to the viewer)—she tells him how to run the company and when to have business-related meetings. Her confidence is astronomical. Jack is of a certain age, who should have the sense of “ I smell a rat” talent by now. He’s in his 70’s—having had more women than Casanova.

Jack is a gullible old man who is going to bite his lower lip off…
His mind is too gone to talk about a prenuptial..

This Summer is too wimpy, no spark no fire, and is blah in compersion to the Summer that sexed Billy.. can’t imagine this Summer doing Billy or stealing a car LOL ..

I know, SusieQ. NuSummer is not the go-getter or catch-me-if-you-can kind of Calamity Jane that Hunter was—but, she can act, in my opinion—and, you’re right—I can’t see her pulling any stunts, except to protect her mother.
I’m pretty fiery myself–but, I’m too wimpy to steal a car.
–I’d never shack up with someone old enough to be my father either—that’s neither brave nor calamitous. That’s just gross. LOL-
of course, we always wish for the “old” characters to return, but nuSummer is tolerable compared to nuTrina. Right?

Celia–the casting of some soap women is horrible in comparison to the soap men… Audira in Y&R is gawdawful…..The Diane casting was good..
Essme is good too…luv Trevor..as for Spencer, I believe he Nikiols, would never date nuTrina in real life therefore no chem on screen…he is a great actor to play the role as Trina’s love interest ..lol

I know bring Hunter King back

Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun Written Out of The Young and the Restless

Published

It looks like the current run of Lucas Adams (Noah) and Tamara Braun (Sienna) on The Young and the Restless is coming to an end, after the Monday, August 3 edition of the CBS daytime drama revealed that Noah and Sienna are leaving Genoa City and heading back to Los Angeles.

In the storyline, Noah informed his mother, Sharon (Sharon Case) and half-sister Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that he and Sienna made the decision to move back to the West Coast to put distance between themselves and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Although Noah did not say it was a permanent move, he did assure his mom that once Matt is hopefully gone from Genoa City they could return.

However, as previewed already on the video teaser for this week’s episodes of Y&R (see below), it appears Noah left Genoa City’s The Shadow Room to be run by a returning Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). So with that, coupled with today’s episode, it would appear the move could wind up being more permanent.

COMINGS AND GOINGS

Adams made his Y&R debut on November 4, 2025 as the successor to Rory Gibson who last played Noah on-screen in April of 2023. Earlier in 2025, Gibson took over the role of Michael Corinthos on Genera Hospital replacing Chad Duell, who stepped away from the part after 15 years.

Braun who played Adam’s mother on Days of Our Lives when she was Ava Vitali and he was Tripp Dalton, first appeared on Y&R back on October 14, 2025, where we soon learned she had become Noah’s lover as the new character, Sienna Bacall.  It should be noted, Adams was on contract with the number #1 soap, while Braun has been on recurring status.

With Josh Griffith now exited as head writer of The Young and the Restless, and the newly announced co-head writing team of Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor having taken his place and starting their new tenure this week, it will be interesting to see how the duo resets the show, and if a Noah and Sienna return is in the cards for the future or not.

So, what do you think about the seeming departures of Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun from The Young and the Restless? Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out our recent live chat with Tamara and Lucas on the Michael Fairman Channel.

Rosie O’Donnell Says She Will Return to ‘The View’ During its Season 30

Rosie O'Donnell

Rosie O’Donnell revealed that she plans to head back to a seat at the table of ABC’s morning talk show The View.

The announcement came during Monday’s episode of The Tangle Podcast where she shared she will participate in “in whatever way they want” her or “just as a guest” for its upcoming 30th season.

The View’s season 30 will kick-off this fall in September. O’Donnell explained, “They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think. And, you know, I’m pretty proud of that show, what it’s become and how it really speaks to the people and to politics.”

ROSIE ON HER PREVIOUS GO-ROUNDS ON THE VIEW

As fans of The View know, O’Donnell famously had two different one-year stints on the talk show in 2007 and again in 2014- 2015. She often feuded with then co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck.

However, during her discussion with host, Kyle Ridley on The Tangle Podcast, O’Donnell also noted she often had tense moments with longtime moderator and anchor, Whoopi Goldberg.

O’Donnell also expressed, “Many, many people got the short end of the stick there. It was, you know, it was a factory where people were being churned in and out and their tenuous security, nobody got to be calm. It also was a show at the time that was run by a man. A show created by a woman, for women, about women, and the man was deciding what we should talk about. And that didn’t sit right with me, you know.”

Back in 2023, Brooke Shields had asked Rosie on her podcast, Now What? with Brooke Shields, about how she felt on her two stints at The View and all the controversy that surrounded it. Rosie at that time, stated, “I know this, it’s not the best use of my talent to get in a show where I have to argue and defend basic principles of humanity and kindness. It was not something I’d ever do again.”

You can check out the clip with Rosie and Kyle Ridley discussing her return to The View in some form for its upcoming 30th season below.

Then weigh-in: Would you be excited to see Rosie, even for a one-day or a week guest stint on the upcoming celebratory season of The View, or not so much? Let us know via the comment section.
