Y&R’s Michelle Stafford Delivers Bravura Performance as ‘Phick’ Implodes
On Wednesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, although it seemingly came out of nowhere, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) have an argument that brings up old wounds and signifies the end of the couple known as “Phick”… for now.
Nick, who is getting more heated and jealous of Phyllis and Jack’s (Peter Bergman) enduring relationship, feels Phyllis is rubbing her flirtation with Jack in his face. Phyllis fires backs that unless they are having sex or playing video games, Nick does not treat her well and that she wants something more than superficial moments in their relationship.
This all seems to stem from Nick wanting to be there for the Newman Family and Phyllis being at odds with it. Then, in an emotional outburst, Phyllis says that she has been turning herself inside out to make Nick happy. However, Nick feels it’s not cool of her to ask him to distance himself from his own family.
Phyllis then unloads on Nick, expressing that this is not her first ‘Newman rodeo’ and she has first-hand experience from where she speaks. She wants more from Nick, more understanding, while he feels it’s hypocritical of her to take the high road, given her past.

Courtesy/CBS
Then, Phyllis tells Nick she wants him to choose her over his family. She tells him that she thinks he is so miserable over Adam (Mark Grossman) and what’s going on with Victor (Eric Braeden) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that he doesn’t see things straight, and that their relationship will always suffer because of it.
Phyllis says she can’t do this anymore, and Nick is getting ready to walk out on her, when her cell phone rings, and it’s Jack calling adding fuel to the break-up.
In the scene, Michelle Stafford was on fire, giving us one of the performances that reminds us all why she has always been one of daytime’s best. You can watch it below.
So, what did you think of the Phick break-up scene? Do you want Phyllis to end up with Jack, or back with Nick? Share your thoughts via the comment section.
Congratulations to our Michelle Stafford fans who got the best of Phyllis this week! Though I hate seeing her with Jack who can’t get her out of his system, hope he doesn’t forget he asked for this. He tried to help she and Nick work it out, but Nick was always aware of his presence. Now I expect he will get back with Chelsea, whom I liked him with before she and Adam got back together, but now I don’t know. Can’t believe we had to watch all this fighting and squabbling between Phyllis and Nick, which we all knew was leading to a break-up, but what I don’t get what the purpose was, to get Phyllis and Jack back together or to get Nick back with Chelsea or???
I agree 100% Violet. Michelle drives me nuts but she did a great job with Phyllis. I wish Y and R would bring back Ronan, Nina’s other son who Phyllis had immense chemistry with before he left GC.
Michelle will always be Phyllis..
I honestly, at the moment, don’t recall who she portrayed on GH ____________
I hope she will be alone until they bring in an exciting man for her personality to hook up with_________________
If, she goes with Jack he will bring her down to a blah old boring lady as he is an old boring man.________
There is no sexual spark– no nothing just a yawn.
I can’t even envision them kissing without gagging.!_____________
Phyllis needs a new man that is an exciting challenge for her and her age.
Most all Y&R men are quite old or simply lack an intriguing personality.____________
There is not one Y&R guy that I’d even date, no way.
((perhaps a young Victor))
SuOOO,
Hi, you always make such good points. The thing with Jack and Phyllis is, they’ve been there and done that too many times. Jack is in his sixty’s and they are trying to prolong the agony of him aging. Believe me, nothing works, even he and younger women. Im a Nick fan from way back, I think he’s adorable and Iam very fussy about whom he’s with and Phyllis has never been my first choice. Remember he’s like a grandson to me and Iam very particular.
The performance is new (is it?) but the story is the same: Phyllis prostrating herself for uncaring Nick.
Did I miss something, or did this pop out of nowhere??
I thought the same thing. It is hard to rave about an actor’s performance when the writing the poor actor is given is lousy.
EMMY EMMY EMMY.
A life of nookie and video games with Nick. Sign me up! lol.
Me too, Drake. Oh, except for the video games.
Like it’s been said…this came out of nowhere but, we knew it was coming. Same story, different day…with these two. New head writer needed ASAP.
Amazing !!!!—-Michelle, once again, owned IT!! I am your forever fan since I was a teen…..you are the best–❤️
I agree 10,000 percent, Celia. I’m honestly shocked at so many negative posts here. Michelle brought me to tears when she said Nick puts her in a box.. wow, do I know how that feels. She moved me deeply.
The negative responses are usually clinical—-I think we’re all guilty of that, to a point.
But, I do agree—-I look at the depth of feelings.
And, to your point, to be sensitive to someone else’s pain and emotional feelings, he or she must have experience that same turbulence some time or other…..Having gone through emotional turmoil, sometimes leaves invisible scars.
It makes no difference how young or old we are—-I was fifteen—-funny how those feelings make such an impact at such a tender age, but remain within us for a lifetime, albeit I did eventually marry the bad-boy— LOL and double LOL.
Michelle Stafford must have delved deep within her being for delivering such an outstanding performance. Kudos!!
I call them “Internal Bruises.” I explain to people that don’t understand abuse, most will look for a scar, stiches, bruises or a broken arm, all good examples of physical abuse but to be in a relationship where everything is one sided, never good enough, need to lose a couple pounds or when are we going to have sex or else, these are hurtful things many people carry in the inside of them that no one can see and many of us never know about. Be as kind as you can be and ALWAYS communicate with whomever you are in love with or falling in love. Not understand how one feels and what their history was in their various relationships will bite YOUR relationship in the azz!
I never experienced any of what you so eloquently describe, T—but any person with an open heart, open mind and kindness can see the invisible scars.
I was young, pining over a boy a few years older than I. I was invisible to him and thus ignored me because of my age, or so I thought—it hurt my teen heart so much, I remember that year with lucidity. Stupid, kid stuff, but hurtful nonetheless.
Any actor or actress who can “stand” there and be able to move an audience, must have had a very painfully difficult experience at one time or other.
Any actor/actress has the skill, but when there has been suffering in his/her life, the delivery becomes that much more tangibly real. Ergo, Michelle Stafford.
I appreciate this side of you, T—–Men find it hard to show any vulnerability because many think it emasculates them. However, I truly believe that it takes a real man, a man who knows his own self, to be a man❤️
How is this even a ‘story’?!
Has-been Phick has a disagreement and breaks up while has-been Phack burns on the sideline ?!
Omg, this show is beyond tired !
Poor Michelle Stafford, she was screeching and crushed like their was some big development or actual plot that helped break Nick and her up but it was just her trying to make the most of Griffiths usual boring garbage. Jack mulls around town woo is me all year, and Josh Morrow is all hot and being wasted on this third attempt at Phick, while Sharon Case is equally wasted on Rey!
Unbearable that Melissa Ordways Abby is driving story this past year , to top off with the equally dull Bryton (Devon)!? this head regime really needs to be forced into retirement! Tricia Cast, Lauralee Bell , Eileen Davidson and Sharon Case are supporting actresses in a Melissa Ordway story? Just that alone is grounds for Griffith and Morina to be fired like yesterday
@michael.fairman pls tell us that y n r is looking for a new heawriter and E.P?
Hi Damien ..
Most all I read notes Y&R is horrible.
The stories are awful. No drama no intrigue no anything, actually.
And yet– it’s the #1 soap..
There is something tragically wrong with that.
Seems there is dirty play with the Y&R ratings IMO..
And Y&R plays the same couple’s characters over and over and over again- a never-ending circle of changing sex paetners, over and over and over again. —
Nobody would want to be reunited with an X after
he/she has had a relationship and Sex and more sex with all their friends and family members over and over again, and again!.. YUCK!!
I know, Su000. But soaps have always been guilty of this. ATWT did it with Jack & Carly, Lily & Holden, even Lisa & Bob. GL was Reva & Josh, Vanessa & Billy, Roger & Holly… but it just seems like it happens more frequently these days. Maybe that’s just my age. I do feel for Phyllis this time; I think Nick has been overly critical and more than his usual self-righteous. But Phyllis and Jack again? That’ll give me a bad case of Phack. Phyck? Jallis? Whatever.. you get my point.
Soaphound,
I have never been a Phyllis fan so it’s hard to critique her fairly.
I felt that someone decided that Phyllis would be better off back with Jack and that’s when everything went sideways with she and Nick. Jack didn’t make it any easier by letting the couple know of his feelings for Phyllis, still. Every time Nick saw the two of them together, it fueled his jealousy and resentment. Now friends are telling Phyllis that she probably still and always has had residual feelings for Jack and she’s starting to believe it, I think.
That’s what I am talking about! Much ado about nothing! As much as I loved Jack and Phyllis together many years ago, their time is over. I see him as her confidant.
All the actors involved are great BUT its just a retread. And this Nick and Phyliss split came out of nowhere and us fans are not stupid enough to buy the shakeup. It is either the lack of money on hiring or bringing back previous actors to revive Jack, Nick or Phyliss’s love life or just lazy writing. This show and its ratings uses its past reputation to stay number one. NOTHING right now is “Must TV tune in or else!” They ruined Mariah, the NuNoah can act but is bland with no story, too lazy to rehire a Chance actor, Jack is lost and Victoria and Ashland, who cares! Send Sally back to B&B and let Adam and Sharon have an amazing Christmas together and let Nick and Chelsea get back together. And by the way, why bring back Kevin and Chloe when they have nothing to do. And dont even get me started on Devon!
Hi Timmm–
A new hance has been cast..
I knew that a week 10 days ago..
I saw his picture, a good-looking guy..
and seen all his pics on Instagram..
It’s excruciating to watch Abby crying 24/7
it overkill of FF annoying junk.
He/Chance is Not dead and soon to return.
And he’s going to be messed up in the head..
A good case of PSTD I’d assume.
0ooh and–
If Jack and Phillis are reunited= ISH!
Michelle/Phillis having sex with Jack turns my stomach..
I gag at the thought of them kissing..
He is too old and dull and lifeless to be with fiery Phillis..
A horrible mistake to put them together..
Phyllis needs a younger challenging man, not old blah Jack.
Jack is too old and Phyliss is too loud and devious! Jack needs to find someone who is chill. Phyliss needs to sink her teeth into a young buck and ride him! OMG, what about NuNoah! Nick would freak out!
Oh, my gosh, T—–Treading in deep waters there!!
LOL
When Nick and Phyllis were married, Noah was a little boy—-Phyllis took care of him now and again. Can you imagine? Nick would have a fit and a heart attack. But, hey—-wouldn’t be the first time for any soap to spin in that direction.
She will be labeled a Jezebel and shunned—
“Get thee to a nunnery”— LOLOL.
Timmm,
So would I, freak out. Noah’s girlfriend is coming to town, but he also has eyes for Mariah’s partner, whose name scapes me.
Hey, SusieQ—-Never liked Jack. I get it. But, he must have magic fingers—-He did “land” Sally—young enough to be his granddaughter.
The storylines su€k—-but, Michelle Stafford, in my eyes, is the Giving Tree over and over, regardless of the asinine stories and mismatched couples. The writers are suddenly making Nick look like a fool. Why separate him and Phyllis? There must be some new character moving to GC. Perhaps Chelsea is destined to be with Nick upon her return?
I, too, get grossed out by Jack, the presumed stud, kissing anyone—-just as I almost upchucked when Olivia kissed Robert on GH—- Oh, Lordy Lord–should be rated XX.
C, speaking of giving, Michelle’s Thanksgiving stand-alone show was great! It was custom made for you!
Gee, what a guy, T.—-if you’re talking about Michelle’s heartfelt performance? I thank you.
If you’re referring to her generous heart of giving away hundreds of turkeys to families in need? I thank you, as well.
It does the body and soul good to give.
Hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving!❤️
Michelle is the best! One thing she does have in common with her character is a good heart. I want Y&R to cast a new guy, someone at the Hotel who does maintenance. A normal guy who she falls for and takes a lot of heat for dating a “Regular” guy. It would be something different and let her use some of her comedic skills, as well. Meanwhile, as a young man, Mr. Maintenance Guy did blue collar work to put himself through school so he does his work at the Hotel and is secretly sabotaging Red’s business for a takeover!
I wish you and your family Happy Holidays, as well.
Timmm
Oh, absolutely, T. Phyllis deserves someone vibrantly alive as she. TPTB don’t seem to have an optimistic vision for her. Between you and me,, they merely recycle ‘her’ men. Jack is too old and Nick is too stiff. For some reason ye gods persist injecting Jack into the younger crowd—-meanwhile he has a son, Kemo, in his fifties, I think.
I most certainly would love to see a demigod of a maintenance guy for Phyllis—if not Ronan ( Jeff Branson) then a tall hunk with tools. Pardon the pun.
Happy Holidays to you and yours, as well.
Blessings!!❤️
SuOOO
Figured we’d get a messed up Chance back, if any. Don’t think Devon will like watching him raise HIS son, if they ever turn him into a real baby instead of wrapped up like a loaf of stale bread.
Timmm and Su000…I never watched Y&R until the cancellations of OLTL and AMC. But Michelle was still there as Phyliss. Wasn’t she married to Jack and Victor messed that up at the time? I think she plays Phyliss better than Nina on GH. And she’s doing a great job in reevaluating her relationship with Nick. But if she could get herself all tangled up in Summer and Sally why can’t she allow the same curtesy to Nick’s feelings toward Victoria and family? And I love the way she looks and dresses. I did like a more strong Jack than how her is acting now. I think Kyle, Summer and grandson deciding to live in Rome, and no new anything has really taken their weight on him. Look forward to a rebound. As for Abby/Chance story it’s ff for me too. As is Mariah and her girlfriend. Still not sure about the sincerity of Ashland. Love Sally, but more so on B&B. Wish Bill had lost that round with her. As for the writers, I will give them a little pass because in this day and age it’s hard to inspire the same creativity and imagination, especially when real life is big completion.
Michelle Stafford was born to play Phyliss! I was excited to see her on GH but it was a bust! She just didn’t click with anyone. Cynthia Watros is amazing as Nina and both those women are where they are suppose to be! Carly is going to mess up and really pizz Sonny off and I bet he and Nina find their way back to each other.
rose, Michelle has been there through thick and thin and she has touched toes with Victor, Jack, Nick and so on. NOBODY plays Phyliss like Michelle!
Agreed, T. What ye gods should do is get Jeff Branson (Ronan) back. Not only did he and Michelle Stafford sizzle, but they also lit up the screen with their impeccable acting. Those two really connected sensually and had such smooth camaraderie.
Every word, every gesture, every movement was executed with skillful ease—“par excellance!!”
Sharon and whatshisname truly bore the ambiance and atmosphere. Rey is a useless character.
Something else which makes me want to scream the most? That wailing, swaddled doll who never moves and has not grown an ounce since birth. An appointment with the pediatrician is in order.
Rey was brought in along with his ex-lover, brother and mother, ect. They are all gone and he should be to. There is nothing for him to do and Sharon will always bebop from Nick to Adam and back to Nick and so on!
Her performance was absolutely outstanding! While the current yandr writing regime is a bore the writing for Michelle was amazing and she delivered. Bravo !
Michelle Stafford deserves all the accolades she is receiving. I remember when I was a regular Y&R viewer: Stafford gave the most natural (real) performance I have seen on soaps. She made Phyllis so believable. I will take believability over histrionics or woodenness any day…
For me, the performance was quite a display of talent. However, it was way out of equilibrium with the script. Still behind in watching but don’t favor Jack with another young woman. What’s wrong with a mature relationship; not necessarily an intimate one?
ABSOLUTELY!! Loving me some Phack…keeping my fingers crossed. MS & PB IMO has so much more chemistry together then Phick. Jack understands Phyllis in a way Nick doesn’t having himself been cagey and deceitful and winning at all cost in Jack’s younger days.
General Hospital
GENERAL HOSPITAL: Chase Gets to The Bottom of Brook Lynn’s Lies; But is Jordan Truly the Person Responsible for Her Own Car Crash?

The marriage of Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) just took a nosedive on the Friday, September 4 episode of General Hospital, while Trina (Tabyana Ali) got an earful, Anna (Finola Hughes) lured Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) into a trap in the middle of nowhere, and oh, yes! Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarksi) and Rocco (Finn Carr) shared their first kiss.
Here’s the takeaways from Cliffhanger Friday. First, as the Quartermaines host a Labor Day weekend party, Chase’s suspicions about Brook Lynn being the other driver in Jordan’s (Tanisha Harper) car accident grew while cutting limes with Emma (Braedyn Bruner) in the kitchen. There, Emma mentioned that Brook actually arrived late to Charlie’s Pub and missed the first song of the night during Trina and Gio’s (Giovanni Mazza) performance.
Now loaded for bear, Chase sees Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) in the Quartermaine foray, and asks to speak with her in the kitchen, privately. Having put two and two together (for once! Chase can’t seem to do that where Willow’s concerned) he tells Lucy, he knows she lied in her statement to the police pointing the finger at Willow for the car accident and demanded the truth!

ROUTE 91
Meanwhile, Jordan is also present at the party, and Tracy (Jane Elliot) and Michael (Rory Gibson) tell her that they want her to keep a close eye on Drew (Cameron Mathison) while working at Aurora Media. Inside the living room, Lucy is making a hasty exit from the party after spilling the beans to Chase. Next, a pissed off Chase pulls Brook Lynn into the kitchen.
Then, he tells his wife his theory of what happened the night Jordan got in a car crash. Chase says Brook Lynn’s car was on Route 91 at the same time of Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Jordan’s car crash. However, Chase thinks she is covering for someone in the family. Brook Lynn promises to talk to him more about this later when they are alone, but it’s too late. Outside on the terrace, Trina heard the whole thing!
Now in the living room, and getting ready to hear Gio and Trina do a performance from their set at the club earlier in the week, Chase and Brook Lynn look upset. Trina comes into the room looking very angry and demands to know the truth from Brook Lynn! She wants to know if she was the driver of the other car who left her dad and Jordan at the side of the road.

ARE WE OUT OF THE WOODS?
Meanwhile, Anna who is off her rocker, has lured Britt (who stupidly went to meet her) out in the middle of the woods. Jason (Steve Burton) got wind of where Britt is, when Sonny (Maurice Benard) informed he sold some land to Anna. Jason is trying to get a hold of Britt fearing she is walking into a trap, but she is not answering her phone.
When Britt finally catches up with Anna, she asks her why did they have to meet in the middle of the boondocks? Suddenly, Anna pulls out a gun and replies, “So no one can hear you scream.” We fade to black.

FIRST KISS
As one thing has lead to another, Scout and Rocco have found themselves leaning on each other and developing feelings for one another. In story, Rocco and Scout picked up Outback and went to the boathouse for one last swim before the summer comes to an end.
While they swam, Outback ran off and wound up back where he was earlier, in the wood,s trying to dig up Jack! Back at the boathouse following their swim, Scout and Rocco have a heart-to-heart, where Scout admits she feels the only person who truly understands her through all the turmoil she has gone through with her dad and brother is Rocco. The two share a kiss.
Now below, check out the scene between Chase and Lucy where he demands she amends her statement to the police as Brook Lynn becomes the chief suspect in running Jordan and Curtis off the road causing their car crash.
Weigh-in: When all is said and done, isn’t Jordan the person who is responsible for her own crash, by taking her eyes off the road to kiss her ex-husband, Curtis Ashford? Do you think Brook Lynn’s cover-up will send Chase running in the direction of Willow and the two will hit the sheets? Glad to see Scout and Rocco share a lip-lock? GENERAL HOSPITAL: Brennan is Found Dead in the Water as Suspects Mount and Cover-Ups Begin

The Tuesday, September 1 episode of General Hospital confirmed that the body floating in the Metro Court pool was indeed WSB Port Charles bureau chief, Jack Brennan, thus ending the run of Chris McKenna, who debuted on GH back in February of 2025.
In story, Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) screamed and Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) had a major freak out, when they were the ones to find Brennan’s body lifeless in the pool. Being in fear that Drew (Cameron Mathison) would use this against him, Danny told Charlotte they need to flee the scene.
Elsewhere in Jack’s hotel room, a panic-stricken Ava (Maura West) was trying to convince Drew to get out of Brennan’s room asap since she thinks the sleeping pill she spiked his drink with only made him head back to his room. Eventually, Ava was able to convince Drew to leave, and the two headed to the pool deck and were in for the shock of their lives when they saw Jack’s body floating face up in the pool!

Courtesy/ABC
THIS DOESN’T FLOAT AVA AND DREW’S BOAT
Ava went into cover-up mode in fear Jack’s death would be traced back to her since Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) saw her with Brennan at the Gardens. Next, Ava threatens to take down Drew with her if she goes down for a crime he put her up to in the first place.
Then, the pair decide to move Brennan’s body out of the pool and place him in a laundry cart. They are going to use the service elevator to bring the body down to the garage and dump Brennan somewhere.
At the Quartermaine boathouse, Charlotte and Danny arrive and Danny realizes he put a dent into Chase’s (Josh Swickard) truck that he “borrowed” without Chase’s permission. Suddenly, Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Rocco (Finn Carr) were on the scene and four got into heated words when Danny insulted Drew which brought Scout to tears that she doesn’t want to have to choose sides between her brother and her father.
SECURITY BREACH
After Rocco and Scout left, Charlotte had a new freak out when she realized the bracelet she had on is missing. Cut to: Jack’s wrist and sleeve in the laundry cart with Charlotte’s bracelet around it.
Jason (Steve Burton) helped Carly (Laura Wright) with figuring out how the hotel’s security system was disabled and the alarm was deactivated. Suspecting foul play to a VIP guest, Carly and Jason go up to to Jack’s room. However, once they were inside, Brennan was nowhere to be found. Just then, Jason looked around and realized someone was in the room doing a search.
So, it looks like plenty of people will need to cover their actions including: Danny, Charlotte, Ava and Drew. But if none of them caused the direct death of Brennan, who did? Chief among the suspects would have to be Willow Cain, then we had Nina leveling a threat against Jack overheard by Carly and others, or are they only red-herrings and the real killer is someone you wouldn’t expect? Also, what will Jack’s autopsy report reveal? Stay tuned, and share your theories via the comment section.
AEW
‘AEW All In: London’ 2026: Top Five Takeaways Including Will Ospreay’s Emotional World Title Victory in His Home Country

This past Sunday at AEW All In: London, not only did the pro wrestling organization rock Wembley Stadium with an electrifying card and show, they also did something that often times does not occur, they sent the audience in attendance and those watching on pay-per-view around the world, home happy!
The reason is simple. The home country’s own Will Ospreay won the main event and the AEW World Heavyweight Championship before his friends, rivals, family and more. Ospreay was finally crowned the kingpin of AEW by defeating Kenny Omega to close out the show.
With All In being AEW’s version of WWE WrestleMania. in that it’s the organizations biggest event of the year, this one did not disappoint. and even didn’t feel as long (even though it clocked in at roughly 4 hours 15 minutes) for the main show as per usual with Tony Khan pay-per-views, but that’s not including the matches in the buy-in.

Photo: AEW
AEW All In truly felt like the culmination of a year’s worth of story and build, plus brought stunning returns and debuts to bring fresh blood to the roster. Throughout the night: four new champions were crowned, we got the debut of the New Level (formerly WWE’s New Day) when Kofi and Austin Creed showed up with Swerve Strickland to win the AEW Trios Championship!

Photo: AEW
In addition, Britt Baker DMD, who had not been seen in over two years, finally returned during the buy-in aiding Persephone defeat Maya Ward for the TNT Women’s Championship. Let’s take a look at the Top Five Takeaways from All In London, a pay-per-view that going into the fall is definitely the number #1 wrestling show so far in 2026.
WILL OSPREAY ENTRANCE WAS A FIVE-HANKIE MOMENT
The AEW segment producers out did themselves with a very emotional and creative video package proceeding Ospreay’s entrance for his title bout. The package was narrated by Ospreay’s mother. She tells the story complete with retro footage of how she never thought her son would make money as a wrestler, but encouraged him to continue his dream and how proud she was of the man he has becomes. The package was cut to The Who’s “Baba O’Riley” a perfect choice from one of the all-time greatest rock bands from the UK.
However, it was Ospreay taking the long walk backstage at Wembley Stadium through the curtain to the ring ramp, and to the ring, that provided the most emotional moment of the night.

Photo: AEW
As the “Aerial Assassin” does his final walk in preparation for battle, Will passes old rivals and friends including: Zack Sabre Jr., Ricochet, Kyle Fletcher, gets a kiss from his wife, one half of the new AEW Women’s Tag Champion, Alex Windsor, then passes Callum Newman and the United Empire, and finally, Jon Moxley, who meets him at the curtain and hands him the British flag. Then, once Ospreay’s own theme music plays and the chants of “Ospreay, Ospreay” fill Wembley Stadium, it was clear this had to be his night!
As for Omega, his entrance was done in Japanese paying homage to his historic past in all the top wrestling organizations throughout the world. It was also one of the best we have ever seen for an AEW main event. During the match, Omega became a violent heel, decimating and bloodying Ospreay early on, and doing anything he could to retain his title. Meanwhile, counters and near pins were the order of the day with Ospreay coming back and rising up from what appeared to be a 20-minute beatdown. Ospreay rallied with one final hidden blade on Omega after a second One Winged Angel and a Tiger Driver 91, and cried as he received the title belt, and had his hand raised in England to the roar of the crowd!
A BROKEN NOSE AND THE TITLE THAT ALLUDED THE CEO
The woman showed up big time in their title bout with the champion Willow Nightingale defending with a legitimate broken hand against what would become a legit broken nose for her challenger, Mercedes Moné. The AEW World Women’s Championship is something up till now that has alluded the multi-belts Moné.

Photo: AEW
This was another drama-filled match with plenty of back and forth. Things took a turn when after the referee Audrey Edwards was knocked out, and she missed the count where Willow had pinned Mercedes. Eventually, Moné applied the Statement Maker, and then had Willow so wrapped up with her arm around her own neck that the champion passed out.
Finally, Mercedes Mone won the only major singles title she’s never held in her three-year plus run in AEW.

THE MEN’S TAG TEAM DIVISION MAKES A STATEMENT
In a great tag team match, The Young Bucks continued to showcase just how incredible they are as a team. However in the end, the real-life brothers lost their chance at winning the AEW Tag Team titles from the crafty veterans Christian Cage and Adam Copeland. It was odd seeing Copeland also act the heel, while we could expect that from Cage.
Late in the match, Cage faked out the referee while grabbing a metal object into his wrist brace. He later used it on Matt Jackson. Next, Copeland delivered the spear for the win. But the celebration for Cage and “Cope” ended quickly when in succession, The Motor City Machine Guns, the returning FTR and New Level all came down to the ring staking their claim that they are coming after the tag title belts.
It’s rare you see such a showcase of talent in the ring at one time; a clever move to let the industry and the fans know that if you want tag team action, AEW will be the place to find it!
LIKE FATHER LIKE SON
Darby Allin and Kevin Knight met in a Falls Count Anywhere match, which would not be complete without Allin climbing the stage scaffolding and delivering one of the longest free-falling Coffin Drop’s we have ever seen on Knight, who later was on the receiving end of yet another Coffin Drop as he was being stretchered out of the match.
However, it was the moment that will now forever live in wrestling history that will be remembered from this match. When Don Callis Family members, Brian Cage and Jake Doyle, attacked Darby in the ring and taped his hands behind his back, it was none other than Sting’s son, Steven Borden who entered the fray to save Allin. However, Cage threw Borden into a table in the turnbuckle.

Photo: AEW
With things not looking so good, the lights went out in Wembley! Suddenly the icon, Sting, came down the ring ramp with his signature bat in hand to even the odds. Sting’s arrival garnered one of the biggest pops of the night.
Then, as Sting and his son each climbed up the ladder inside the ring, they met at the top, where the younger Borden told his dad, “I’ve got this.” Next thing you know, beating on his chest just like his legendary father, Borden flew from the ladder to hit the heels with a crossbody to the floor.
Steven Borden has such a bright future ahead of him now that he is in AEW, and we predict VERY big things for the young man. Just you wait and see!
CASINO GAUNTLET GONE WILD
If you thought MJF would secure the victory to become the number one contender for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship, after holding the belt for a good portion of the year, ya better think again.
Looks like AEW is banking on Andrade El Idolo, who is finally having a major run! In the Casino Gautlet, which also brought into the match the likes of Chris Jericho, and the the big blooper of the night. That occurred when ring announcer Justin Roberts mixed-up entering Luchadors: Komander as Mistico, and then a mere few minutes later the real Mistico appeared!

Photo: AEW
Andrade, who is already the AEW National Champion, was able to steal the Gautlet by pinning Nick Wayne, much to the chagrin of MJF. Something tells us that Andrade may have his title shot upended somehow by MJF, but we shall see.
GRADE OVERALL: AEW All In London – A
