Y&R's One Dark Secret … Sage To Sharon: "I'm Going To Tell Nick His Son Is Alive!"

Next week on The Young and the Restless the stage is set for the unraveling of the true identity of baby “Sully”!

Sharon (Sharon Case) is on the path to triggering her buried truth that she never gave birth to “Sully” in the first place, and Sage (Kelly Sullivan) questioning the truth as well, especially after she hears a key conversation between Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Sharon that will clue her in.  As fans of Y&R know, “Sully” is really baby Christian, the son of Sage and Nick (Joshua Morrow), although the bio-dad is really Adam (Justin Hartley)!

In the latest promo from CBS Daytime, they tease that one dark secret for two families will have massive ramifications.  And in a key moment in the promo it appears that Sage now knows the truth that “Sully” is her baby boy Christian.

Armed with the truth, Sage firmly says to Sharon, “I’m going to tell Nick his son is alive!”  Next, Sage exits Sharon’s.  But will she get to Nick to spill the beans?  Watch the intense promo after the jump!  Then let us know what you think will happen next in the comment section below.

In the promo it seems as through Sage is angry with Sharon and I am not sure why.
Okay, well, good let’s wrap this thing up. I am sure all the actors involved will rise to the occasion. Also, I do wish they had not rewritten history as to make Adam the bio father.
On another note, Max setting it up so Abby takes a tumble down the stairs leading to her miscarrying the baby is way too dark for me. This is a daytime drama, not The Omen.
I am tired of drama being predicated on tragedies involving children and babies.

Agree with your entire post. Word for word.

thank you, Nanci. And I agree with your post!

Lol, Harry!

I soooo agree with your comment. The Max/Abby “accident,” to cap off Sage/Sharon/Sully story, is just too much for me. Definitely not love in the afternoon.

I know, Rose. More like tragedy in the afternoon, ugh.

Agreed, Harry. Why do writers use pregancies and babies so much for stories only to dispense with children (even sending them to boarding school) when the characters are cumbersome. If characters have children, then said children are here and part of the landscape. There has been so much unpleasantness with children on Y&R. It is not appealing.

Harry…as far as I’m concerned, Stitch is so CLUELESS as a father!!!!! I mean…by now, Stitch should have SOME CLUE as to how TROUBLED AND DISTURBED Max really is!!!!! OMG…Stitch cannot be THAT STUPID!!!!! GIMME A BREAK ALREADY!!!!!!! Truly lame.

Later.

Amen, Harry. I couldn’t agree more. My husband catches enough of y&r (much to his chagrin) for him to say “Wow, I would not want to be a child in this soap city!)” The worst was when i was a month away from having my baby boy in real life, and Victor was crying and telling Christian to fight through the incubator. I bawled my eyes out when they killed off Delia, and now we have a sinister preteen glaring around corners and plotting the death of his baby sibling and step mother. Honestly, it’s gross and grim and it seems like a cheap shot at the vulnerability of the stereotypical viewer of a soap. I haven’t really seen a good love story since Billy Miller left. That’s what I miss.

All I know is that when Abby fell down the stairs, the very first thing I said out loud was, “I never want to be pregnant in Genoa City”. I mean think about it. Christian is the last baby born in Genoa City and he is already cursed with the knowledge of his true parents and then all the damage that will come to the characters involved. I am seriously thinking that Sage will be gone from the canvas now. How else can they keep the paternity secret once Sage knows and goes off to tell Nick. It was announced in the interview with Peter Bergman and Eric Braeden that a death was happening in Genoa City. Hmmmm….

I also totally agree with everything you said.
I really cannot believe how Stitch/Ben has his head buried in the sand, that kid is evil.
I sure hope he gets caught and gets some help, he needs it.
Sage deserves to have her baby back, it’s gone on way to long.

K Ross…EXACTLY!!!!! I mean…I think that Max is BEYOND EVIL!!!!! More and more, Max reminds me of those murderous kids from those ‘Children Of The Corn’ horror movies. BEYOND C-R-E-E-P-Y!!!!! And, Stitch’s denial (or whatever) about Max’s out of control behavior is turning Stitch into a TOTAL IDIOT!!!!!!! Moron.

Take care.

I’m not sure myself where this MAD Sage comes from. She wasn’t in the booby hatch with Sharon and she has NO clue what Sharon had to endure while she was in Dr Anderson’s care. Max needs to GO away. What he did to Abby was sick and the fact that Stitch wont believe Abby when she tells him her concerns is BAD.

Agree that Max needs to go away, and take his dad with him.
They cause nothing but misery for Abby!

I totally agree! Exactly! That evil kid! I’m just sick of him. How stupid that none of the adults could figure out this evil kid was plotting against Abby! Stupid Stitch needs to disappear. And regarding Sharon, she was manipulated and drugged and was trying to understand why she continued to have bad dreams…But wait! Isn’t ADAM the real biological father?? Wow! When is he going to expose that fact which will mean Sharon, Nick, and Dylan are out in the cold!

However Max is such a demon that I just turn the channel whenever Y & R shows his evil face and that smirk!! Can’t stand it! Poor Abby! How cruel!

I also don’t understand how, if both Lilly and Cane looked at security footage, why they didn’t see Max set up and/or remove the wire.

It is sad and I hope the truth about Max is revealed. I think Max needs to go to Fairview.

As for Sharon/Sage, I’m sad about Sully being taken away from Sharon and Dylan.

Max set that trip wire and Abby just happened to be coming down those steps at that time! ALL the guests use those steps. Your telling me no one walked up or down to their rooms? Ho slow is this hotel? PLUS, Max would have been seen on the footage setting the trap. Cane is a hollow head!

I think they only looked at the footage where Abby tripped. They should look at footage for the preceding several hours. Then they would see Max setting the “accident” up.

This has been one of the stories that I’ve loved! Glad they are wrapping it up. But something tells me that on her way to tell Nick what she discovered, Sage is going to get into an accident and lose her memory.

lol 0ooh what a brand new concept … wow huh lol (who woulda thunk)

Maybe Sharon will knock her down some stairs. Bwahahahah

Or they could just let Stiches son do her in since he seems to like sending women down staircases lol!

PLEASE tell me that Sage is not going to get killed in an accident on her way to tell Nick!! We can’t lose Kelly, and Sage should be able to have her own child!

Oh no! God, please don’t let that happen and let Sharon make the right decision now that she knows the truth. Worse yet, don’t let Sharon try and intervene causing Sage to fall down the stairwell of the Newman building thereby inducing a one year coma.
She’s liable to wake up in a bed in Port Charles as a new character only to discover Dr Finn staring down at her.

Ahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing — and that it would be just like when ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Dr. Peter Janssen died in an accident racing home to prevent his wife Jenny from learning that her daughter Mary was actually Katrina Karr’s baby.

Oh Alan, that brings back wonderful memories of our beloved One Life to Live. How I loved Jenny, Katrina, Karen and the wonderfully wacky Marco Dane. To this day, whenever I see Judith Light, I see the fabulous Karen Wolek. Thank you for the memories.

Llanvewer 717 how dare you leave out the wonderful Margo Klenck aka Edwina “cookie” Lewis who completed that entire group of young characters.. Llanviews very own Brenda Starr reporter lol.. they even threw Jackie Zeman (pre Bobbie Spencer) in the mix I loved me some Lana McClain lol.. I was so mad when they killed her off and so happy to see her at her worst on GH soon after..

Sorry about the typo lol Llanviewer

Shes a goner Steven!

Just as long as this plot-driven convoluted shizz ends!!!

Yet another Chuck Pratt tale that is as lame as everything else since his decimation of “Y & R” began!!!

Hopefully Sage (the horrible Kelly Sullivan) will run into traffic and get killed or just off herself!!

Geez Bart!

Bart, my mom passed away two years ago October and you just channeled her hilarious and diabolical ghost. Lol. Thanks for reminding me of our daily daytime ranting. 🙂 🙂 🙂

I’m glad to have been able to bring a smile to your face, Ashleigh!

OMG, granted she was better on GH, Kelly is a terrific actress!

ahaaa! soaps are getting more stupid than I thought possible..
I watch, but no longer for the high impact drama (that has long died) but for stupidness LOL ..

there is no booming drama to that built up reveal, either..

Geez does anyone listen to @michaelfairmain?? It’s ok to be passionate but is it really necessary to wish a character would die or commit suicide. ..that’s a bit too overboard for me and I really don’t like happening upon silly malicious comments. IJMO..so don’t attack.

I’m with you on that davlestev1!

I agree. These are humans with feeling!

I have to admit although I think the acting is fantastic I really hate stories about children dying or baby swaps. Sharon could easily say she was pregnant and that crazy doctor did something to cause a miscarriage and the rest is a blur because of the drugs they gave her. I’m tired of poor Sharon being made the bad guy yet again. I’m more interested in Kevin/Mariah/Natalie story. I hope Kevin doesn’t hurt Mariah, she really has stood by him. I want to see that bratty Max get caught for what he did to Abby, and I want to see someone slap Billy on the side of the head and smarten him up. When he said “Don’t go” to Victoria on Friday I got so annoyed with him I turned it off missing the last part. Does he not realize every one of her ex husbands have had to jump through hoops for her & her daddy? They grew a brain & left her. Hopefully the new girl coming on will turn his head and he’ll say bye bye Victoria.

I totally agree. There has to be a way around this-Sharon should NOT be seen as the enemy here. She does not recall most of this aside from what Patty and Mariah have said and in her own mind she has NO actual proof aside from what the blood test now has told her. I would like to see her tell what she knows from what she remembers and then let others lovingly help her fill in those gaps. TOO BAD Sage doesn’t realize she will lose Christian again to Chelsea and Adam anyway. Once they find out they will likely go for partial custody..LOL. Too bad Sage…..

Hi Vicki, I would love to see it play out your way but I doubt it. Adam has always cared about Sage and he even helped her give birth to Christian in the park so he won’t take him from her. Even though Sharon lied about being pregnant she was so drugged up by that doctor that she believed she was. The three of them Nick, Sharon and Sage have been hurt by the doctor. Sage has no reason too be mad at Sharon, until her nightmares started she was sure that she had been pregnant and Sully was hers. Sharon tried to help Sage by letting her be around Sully now Sage is treating her like she has measles. I think Sage is going to get together with Dylan. She has been telling him what a wonderful father he is. Nick is pretty much over the loss of his son and Dylan gets along better with Adam than Nick does, but even though the truth is out about the baby the only one two that know Adam is the father is Adam & Chelsea.

Nikki, guys are dumb! Kevin will chose Nat only to long for Mariah in the end!

Max needs to be taken away like Anthony Hopkins in “Silence of the Lambs!” Take Dr. Stitchenstein with you!

Jason Thompson is NOT impressing me as Billy and I hate his relationship with FAKE Phyllis!

Ha Ha Now Timmm you say guys are dumb, not me. I think he really cares about Mariah too but he’s let all this money go to his head. As for Max He is such a good little actor it’s too bad they have him playing evil. At his age he is already a murderer wow! Stitch needs to grow a brain and realize the child has never gotten over his mom’s death and since he only has one parent left he’s afraid to lose him and doesn’t want to share him. I like Phyllis she’s just mellowed out, like Adam. Jason Thompson isn’t bad I think it’s just the role and O.M.G. I hate what they did to Kathrine’s house. It use to be so bright & cheerier now it looks like a morgue. Last week when Victoria said if Delia we’re alive she’d paint it pink I actually said out loud “Oh please do that Billy”. I think even pink would look better.

Su0000, can you tell mr four of your favorite storylines or couples?? It sounds like you remember when it was actually fun to watch not because of the ridiculous and absurd. It doesn’t have to be y&r if you’ve loved other soaps.

Hi Ashleigh ..
I’m not a vet fan, but since I have been watching (15-17yrs) the soaps have declined in drama, on the edge drama..
The villains use to chilling! I loved to hate them and they always had me on the edge.
The stories had solid plots and characters you cheered on and others you wanted their demise..
It use to be ”I can’t wait for tomorrow to see who lives or dies who wins or loses which couple is in peril in life or death situations or backstabbing deceiving or just loving..

GH especially, has lost its’ drama, adventure, on the edge soul..
Both Y&R and GH have become drab, uneventful, no lip biting climax’s, and that is a shame that they have become stale and moldey….

Soaps need new youngblood writers that will bring the soaps into the 21st century with new ideals and direction (soaps are stuck in the 80’s)

Soaps have become stupid .. (but yet- I watch the best parts of the stupid LOL

Hi Ashleigh, I can name four. The triangle between Kevin/Mariah & Natalie, Ashley & Dr. Neville, Adam & Chelsea, Abby & Stitch, and I want to see Billy kick Victoria to the curb. Ooops that 5 but they keep me watching. During the rest I scoot out to the kitchen & peel potatoes, get supper ready, until I hear the voices of one of the above.

More than likely this is one of the show’s famous imagined scenes– Sharon finds out the truth then “imagines” what would happen if she tells Sage or what would happen if she tries to keep the truth to herself and then someone like Sage finds out. I don’t believe for a minute Sage will find out the truth until May sweeps, this reveal is building for Sweeps which is still a week a way so I am skeptical that the show would waste a big reveal like that for the end of April– hence my belief this is an imagined scene being promoted as real so to lure viewers in, to prime the pump, to get them hook in for May sweeps where the money for eyeballs count the most.

A word of advice to Sage…..be careful! OK, that’s two words 🙂
Does she not know what happened to Phyllis when she threatened Sharon?
Plus, GC has some of the worst drivers/oblivious pedestrians! Their car insurance rates must be astronomical!

This is cut and dry, they havent milked the paternity for 100 years YET so you know BEFORE Sage gets to tell Nick the truth, she will end up dead!

Friday’s episode was horrible. Sage was never my favorite, but to have
the writers do this the day she is finally reunited with her baby? Just sick.

She never did much for me on Y&R but she is a good actress and I hope she goes back to GH somehow.

I like Kelly/Sage so I hope Sage isn’t killed.

Me to but the writing is on the wall. I see B&B picking her up or maybe Connie isnt dead after all on GH?

You can relaxKelly Sullivan is a FOJ she is not going anywhere and I don’t have any problem with the actress I just don’t know why she is thrown into everybody’s universe just like Steve Burton it turns me as a viewer off. When we have veterans that still look fantastic have kept the show number one that are on once every two weeks! Ugh

Once it is revealed that Sully is Christian, it will be interesting to see how Chelsea reacts to Sage.

Maybe Sage is talking about Noah. 😉

Case should have never been involved in this story we did this with Fith in 2009 ! She will probably try to run with the baby its her job to be the person we throw under the bus! Sage is too new to the show to care ! Give the baby back let’s move on and please Sharon stop the lying it has grown tiresome

Faith!

Wow! I can’t think with all of this wonderful complexity before me, but thanks for the fun.

It still hangs in my mind that Kelly probably had one of those drugs while on a spot with voodoo history thus making her appear dead; that Jack and Phyllis were not really married by that crazy minister; and that someone will finally find out who really hit Delia. Going back further, what was the purpose of Paul finding a knife under the street outflow followed by a silhouette of a witch prancing by.

Look, I haven’t seen the end of last week, but I too find the treatment in the stories involving young children more than distasteful. One every few years, possibly, but this!

Thanks to all you for you ideas, thoughts, and reviews. The creativity is so pleasing, and again, how fun to see the ideas flow.

Oh here we go again. Probably a retread of Phyllis and Sharon. Sharon will push Sage down the stairs or something.

Ok so let’s make Sharon a loon again do you people know nothing about the history of this character????? She was a heroine from the wrong side of the tracks who has always loved Nick no way would this woman keep this baby from Nick for Dylan who she has known five minutes. God you are destroying a character cheap useless writing ever since Bell’s team left.

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’s’ Heather Tom on Working with TV Son Crew Morrow: ‘I’ve Always Wanted to Play an Overprotective, Overbearing Mother’ (Exclusive)

Heather Tom, Crew Morrow

In an ironic twist of fate, and only in the soaps, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Heather Tom’s (Katie Logan) on-screen son is played by Crew Morrow (Will Spencer), the now 21-year-old son of her former TV brother on The Young and the Restless, Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman).

For those who have followed the six-time Daytime Emmy-winning actress’ career, Tom began on Y&R back in 1990 as Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor’s (Eric Braeden) daughter Victoria Newman. She played the role until 2003. Four years later, she joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful and has been there ever since.

Next month, at the upcoming 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards, Heather might add two gold statuettes to her collection with nominations for Lead Actress in a Daytime Drama Series (which would be her record-breaking 7th for an actress), and one for being a part of B&B’s writing team.

WHICH MORROW IS IN THE ROOM?

In a new livestream conversation on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel, Heather recalled her reaction to seeing Crew Morrow on set when he started on B&B over two years ago, and pointed out the uncanny similarities between her TV son and her former TV brother.

“I just can’t even tell you how genetics is weird,” explained Tom. “Because it’s like they are the same person; the cadence and his voice and the way he laughs. When Crew was on the shows for the first couple of months, it would take me out of the scene. I would be like, ‘Oh, my God! It’s Joshua.’ It’s crazy. It’s so wonderful to have him. I love having him there. We’re so lucky to have Crew. I think he’s a wonderful addition to the Spencer family. I love that Bill (Don Diamont) and Katie’s son is on the canvas in a real way.”

In recent weeks, fans of The Bold and the Beautiful have seen a different side of Katie in regards to her son, Will. She simply does not approve, and does not trust Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock) as far as she can throw her. That puts a wrinkle in the mother/son relationship.

HEATHER TOM IS THRILLED THE CHARACTER OF WILL SPENCER IS ALL GROWN-UP

“Honestly, I’ve been waiting for this story since Will was born,” exclaimed Heather  “To be like the overprotective, overbearing mother, momma bear, I love it!”

As for Katie’s attitude. which many feel may need an “attitude adjustment,” Tom has it all figured out on just how she is tackling her scenes! “I have all kinds of justifications for it,” reveals the multi-talented star.

Photo: JPI

KATIE SEES ALL SORTS OF RED FLAGS WITH DYLAN

“So. it’s not just Katie being the b-word,” proclaims Tom. “It’s that Will, her son, whom she loves and supports so much, has been constantly saying about Electra (Laneya Grace), ‘This is the love of my life. She’s broken my heart. I love her. All I want to do is get her back.'”

“So I think Katie could be like, ‘Okay, well, Electra’s a little flighty, but my son loves her, so I’m going to try to support that relationship,” explains Heather. “In addition, Will has never told his mother, ‘I love Dylan,’ at all. I think Katie is thinking of telling Will, ‘You should run, not walk, from this girl who seems somewhat obsessed!’ I don’t know where they’re going with the Electra/Will/Dylan triangle, but I think Katie’s very focused on Dylan for a multitude of reasons.”

So, do you like seeing Heather Tom as Katie going into overprotective momma bear-mode, now that the series has a major young triangle between Electra/Will/Dylan? What do you think about the fact that Heather has been a long-running scene partner with father/son across two different soaps in Joshua Morrow and Crew Morrow? Let us know in the comment section, and in case you missed it, check out our full conversation with Heather below.

‘General Hospital’s’ Finola Hughes Delivers the ‘Power Performance of the Week’

Published

on

By

Finola Hughes

There was never any doubt that in watching the riveting and emotional scenes on General Hospital which featured Finola Hughes as a PTSD-driven and mentally tortured Anna Devane, that when the climatic moments in Anna’s story aired, that we would not be singing the praises of Hughes. Once again, Finola showcased why she is one of the soap opera genres greatest assets and actresses.

In the key scenes, Anna has had a complete breakdown as she has lured and cornered Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) on Mount Emerson, and even thought through how she would kill her and cover it up, all thanks to hearing the voice and seeing a dead man, Peter August (Wes Ramsey). It’s visions of Peter that keeps egging Anna on to pull the trigger on Britt while in her delusional state.

Before Britt realizes that Anna trapped her in meeting her in Mount Emerson, she is very confused as to why she was all the way out in the boondocks to talk about what happened to her brother, Cassius Faison. However, Britt soon learned that what Anna was about to do is personal, and not professional, as she pulls the gun on her.

Courtesy/ABC

ANNA FIRES HER GUN IN GAME-CHANGING MOMENT

When Jason (Steve Burton) shows up to save the say, he tries to talk Anna off the ledge, begging her to not shoot Britt and make one of the greatest mistakes of his life. When Jason figured out Anna felt she needed to kill anyone related to Cesar Faison, he made her think twice, because that would mean, she also would need to end the lives of two of Maxie’s children, James and Bailey Lu.

Anna can’t stop seeing hallucinations of Peter pushing her to shoot Britt. Suddenly and completely overcome, Anna fires bullets straight in the direction of where she sees Peter as she declares this all must end tonight.

After the shots are fired, Anna realized what she had done and just sobbed and shook. It was a devastating and heartbreaking moment for longtime General Hospital fans to see the beloved Anna Devane, super spy, so lost. Anna explained to Jason, after he was able to disarm her, how she was being pushed to kill Britt by her visions of Peter.

EMMY-WORTHY SCENES FOR 2027

In another hankie-inducing moment, Anna just grabs Jason and breaks down in his arms. If these weren’t Emmy-worthy scenes, we don’t know what is, and it must be remembered by Hughes, General Hospital, and hopefully the voting body of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) when Emmy submissions and voting get underway in 2027 for the 54th annual Daytime Emmys.

From everything we noted above, to the sheer brilliance of her work, Michael Fairman TV names Finola Hughes, this week’s Power Performance of the Week.

Now let us know, do you agree with our pick of Finola? Were you moved to tears during the gut-wrenching scenes? Should Finola include these scenes in an Emmy submission in 2027, should she decide to compete for Lead Actress gold? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

RATINGS: ‘General Hospital’ Shows Most Gains in Total Viewers Week-Over-Week and Up in Key Demo

Published

General Hospital

The ratings are out for the week of August 24-28 for your favorite broadcast television soaps, and it was ABC’s General Hospital which added the most total viewers and planted itself firmly in third place in its battle with Beyond the Gates in the key demos of women 18-49 and 25-54.

According to Soap Opera Network, all daytime dramas were up year-over-year, and General Hospital was joined by The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful with gains in their total audience viewership, while Beyond the Gates was only slightly off pace for the ratings week.

Let’s take a look at what had viewers tuning-in, starting with General Hospital, who added +79,000 viewers. While still under the 2 million viewers mark (which they can hopefully return in the coming weeks) their overall tally was an average of 1, 935,000 tuning-in, while still up year-to-year +136,000.

GENERAL HOSPITAL

In addition, GH while actually down from the previous week in the 18-49 ratings share, they still out performed Beyond the Gates for third place. However, GH was firmly in third place for the 25-54 ratings share.

The stories that were featured for the week included: Anna’s (Finola Hughes) PTSD and struggle with painful memories tied to Cesar Faison, and her concocting a plan to get rid of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) recording Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) threatening her, and later running into a severe threat from Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) regarding Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting, and Drew enlisting Ava (Maura West) to gain leverage over Jack, which resulted in Ava drugging him, while Drew went snooping for the evidence Brennan had against him.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Y&R remained in the top spot amongst all the soaps once again with 3,062,000 tuning in, and up +35,000 for the week, while year-to-year still showing strong gains at +231,000 viewers. However, while Y&R remained #1 for the 25-54 ratings share, it fell to #2 in the 18-49 ratings share behind The Bold and the Beautiful.

In story for the week, Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) sobriety in rehab was a focus, as was Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) hitting the Jabot office couch and having sex for the first time, and Lily (Christel Khalil) and Billy (Jason Thompson) battling over control and ownership of Chancellor Industries.

Photo: JPI

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

B&B is continuing to be inch closer to Y&R for the top spot, separated by a little more than 300,000 viewers. For the ratings week, the series posted a total audience of 2,719,000 adding +31,000 eyeballs overall, and like Y&R, is up year-to-year in its performance.

The CBS soap now , now in its 40th season is +217,000 from the same time last year. In the key demos, The Bold and the Beautiful was in the top spot for the women 18-49 ratings share and number two for women 25-54.

In story, the major threat to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Daphne’s (Murielle Hilaire) marriages continued as Steffy and Carter swore they would not tell their spouses that the two had a drunken hook-up. But as viewers know now, Steffy is pregnant!

BEYOND THE GATES

Beyond the Gates tallied an average of 1,611,000 total viewers for the week, up +72.000 year-over-year and down slightly in tune-in for the week losing just -36,000 viewers. The CBS soap came in fourth place in the key demos for the week behind General Hospital, with whom they are often trading places for the third spot.

In story, after Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) was released from the hospital, Hayley (Marquita Goings) stuck to her plan, doubling down on poisoning him and even getting caught in a major lie or meeting with Randy (Maurice P. Kerry), as Vernon (Clifton Davis) may be on to her machinations.

The ratings report is generated from Nielsen (Live+Same Day Big Data + Panel) for the week of August 24-28, 2026

So, what did you think of the performance of General Hospital for the ratings period? Which daytime drama has you most likely to tune-in each day? Which has you tuning-out? Let us know what’s working, or not working for you in story, via the comment section below.
