Wednesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless marked the end of the run for budding star Alyvia Alyn Lind in the role of Faith Newman.

As had been previously reported, Lind was exiting the role to star in the new SyFy series Chucky, among her other motion picture and television projects.

Lind’s on-screen mother, Sharon Case (Sharon) took to her Instagram account and shared a photo with both of her TV daughters, Alyvia and Camryn Grimes (Mariah).

Case shared: “It is a bittersweet day. Our baby girl @alyviaalind ‘s final air show as Faith Newman 😢 Aly, we wish you well with your new endeavors & of course we will love & miss you always! ❤️”

The new Faith Newman, actress Reylynn Caster takes over the role next week starting with the Monday, April 12th episode.

Alyvia had played the role of Nick and Sharon’s daughter since 2013.

I feel like Sharon and Nick have just traded in one daughter for another. I think Alyvia looked very good with the grown up baby faced Moses. Good luck to the new Faith but she looks too old for Moses.

I love it when Iam wrong. Today, seeing the new Faith, I think she will be a good replacement for Alyvia. I thought at first she might be a little too old for Moses but they both look about 16.

Will miss Alyvia but she is heading for success. Her older sister was in Big Sky, so seems that her family is definitely in the biz. Reylynn is a great recast. She actually seems to have studied Alyvia’s mannerisms as Faith, and in one episode seems to have taken on the role of Faith Newman gracefully. Looking forward to her first interaction with her grandfather, Victor. It was nice that her grandmother, Nikki was the first interaction with the new actress, and Sharon and Nick both seamlessly interacted with her back at home. They even brought Jordan into the mix… Read more »

Cameron Mathison Shares He Will Make Summer Debut On GH and Says: “Incredibly Grateful to Frank Valentini and the Writers at GH for Including Me on Such an Iconic Show”

Longtime All My Children favorite and current co-host of Hallmark’s Home & Family, Cameron Mathison, took to his Instagram account on Friday to share his enthusiasm and excitement for what’s to come this summer when he joins ABC’s General Hospital.

No word yet as to what role Mathison will play – and whether it will indeed be Pine Valley’s Ryan Lavery, a new character, or a recast character from the past such as how Kim Delaney took over the role of Jackie Templeton, who has not been seen on the canvas for decades since Demi Moore made that role soap-famous.

In his post today, Cameron expressed thanks to GH EP Frank Valentini and the writing team,  noting: “Almost 10 years after All My Children went off the air I am so excited to be joining General Hospital this summer! I was a member of the abc family for over 15 years and soon I’ll be back: Incredibly grateful to Frank Valentini and the writers at GH for including me on such an iconic show I feel like a kid on Christmas, as I’ll also continue making Hallmark movies and continue to be part of that family as well😀🙏🏼 So so excited… thank you!!!! (More details to come😉)”

So, who do you think Cameron will play once he hits Port Charles?  Let us know and make sure to take our poll below on how you want Mathison to be integrated into the story as Ryan, a new character or a recast character blast from the past? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
