WATCH 53 Shades Of GH: Julexis Version!

Courtesy/ABC

Courtesy/ABC

As Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Julian’s (William deVry) wedding day approaches, GH took a moment to reflect on this sexed up duo and show some scenes and clips from their bedroom romps, and when they first met.

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching this video ditty should delight Julexis fans, who really helped pushed this couple and its popularity in to the waiting arms of the writers of GH, who are allowing the duo to hopefully tie the knot next week.

But with every big soap opera wedding, something tells us these “I do’s” will not go off without a hitch … or several hitches!

Watch the video after the jump.  Then let us know: Do you want Julexis to get married? Do you hope the wedding falls apart? What do you think will go down during the nuptials, and what did you think of this video? Comment below!

I’m beyond excited for this wedding!! If I weren’t already going to be home, I’d take off of work for this event. I have loved Julexis since the beginning and can’t wait until they say their vows in front of friends and family. Obviously things will go wrong, but I hope the ceremony is heartfelt and is all about them. And this video? LOVE!!

Is this couple really popular? Not in my circles.

On GH there is not much love in the air. Julian and Alexis at least try! Nick and Hayden are hot but they are both schemers so we cannot rally behind them. Maxie and Woody are a bore! Any suggestions Liam?

Yes, Timmm…how about focusing more on veteran characters. It appears that just about any character that comes down the pipe is somehow associated to Sonny and mob company….even recasts. Sure, Alexis is a vet character of sorts, but the way TPTB have pimped certain characters over the past 10-15 years, I just have lost interest. It seems to be a trend at GH to provide sainthood to characters who do not deserve it and to create villains out of characters who were actually good characters.

How about giving Liz a love interest that sticks instead of constantly using her as a plot device to pimp other characters? Jesus Christ, we still have no clue as to who her real mother is and Jeff, who was a main character tied to the beginnings of the show is made out to be a father who has no interest in keeping up with his children (BS). Laura is also used as a plot device and has no storyline of her own, no job, and no love interest. We now have Tristan Rogers back and have an opportunity to sign him to a contract, but he has had no scenes with Laura and again is used as a plot device to pimp characters associated to the mob. Monica is rarely shown with her son Jason and is AGAIN used as a plot device. Yet, someone like Julian who was a blip in the 80’s is recast and given an entire family and has become Sonny 2.0 (kids populated by different mothers).

GH is in a sad state simply because TPTB and writers over the past 15 years have tried (and failed) to put their own stamp on this once great show instead of focusing on the things that made it a great show to begin with.

thank you

I just do not… want any of them

William DeVry … Julian… is a simmering feast intrigue that’s going by the way side and wasted… on NLG’ Alexis…

I have posted ENOUGH ! … that she has never once.. had a lasting relationship

the audience is expected to believe.. just because he is the father of her eldest child .. that she has the stamina… and HOLDS his magnate stud muffin complete

give me a break.

stretching this out… while Olivia is in the wings

yikes! not worth watching at all

Thank you, my poetic Patrick! You provide the balanced voice of reason to those comments here that would be more apropos to “CougarBeat” fanzine! How anyone gets their jollies watching these two going at it like dogs in heat is beyond me…..

Hi Patrick…the reason Akexis hasn’t had a lasting relationship was her choice for the most part. She was originally portrayed as an extremely intelligent kick ass lawyer…which she still is. With a bite. Which she still has. Funny, sarcastic, always loyal to family and friends.
But she had commitment issues. She and Ned were a great couple years ago and were supposed to get married. She couldnt go through with it. She had a pretend marriage to Jax and she was really happy…because she knew it was temporary so she didnt freak out. He was and is her best friend. She, like so many other Port Charles women…Laura, Tracy, Sam, Elizabeth, Sabrina, Diane…later gravitated to “bad boys.” But again it was she who broke up with them…Shawn I believe being before Julian. Because…he wouldnt leave the mob. She broke with Julian too as u know until he made good on his promise to really leave the business. (Should be interesting if the wedding actually happens and he gets back to the mob…)

Anyway, I think Chrystie Delancy’s post further down summed it up nicely regarding Alexis…it’s about time! And I think if you had watched her years ago you might be an Alexis fan as well! Either way…best!

Did I not tell you, Patrick, that your prose becomes poetry? Even Shay agrees. I hope you realize that!!!!! Well put; poetically and otherwise!! Kudos.

@Liam…..We obviously travel in similar circles….those of good taste!

Robert and Luke were best friends. When Luke left and Robert showed up in town it was an absolute SIN that he and Laura didnt have any scenes together!

ALL the writers who come and go promise to revisit the legacy stories and focus on the hospital and it is always BULLSHIT! Later.

Their having fun, let them get married and sex it up! To all my Michael Fairman Friends, I wish you all love and hapiness over the Valentine’s Day weekend. There is NOTHING like lying next to someone who you are truly in love with! Timmm.

Sorry, but I find Julian to be a bore. Have never been into this couple.

LOVE THEM!!!!!!

I gotta say;
soap sex is ridiculous and lame, very lame..
OK- it’s daytime but if they are going push sex they need give us something that resembles sex..
Phoney very badly portrayed sex is laughed at sex campy or FF..

At the least, the very least give us some sex reality, a pleasurable moan, perhaps;

..oh … oh …. YES ….uh uh ohhh” 0o0o0o0oo..baby! oooh aahhh oh yea! ”THANK YOU JESUS!

Or at the least.. a long building sighing moan and after breathless smiles..

c’mon, a naked shoulder and leg, kissy no motion silent sex, is not sex and should not be pushed off as sex.
Witnessing that lame stuff is bad for a persons labido.. LOL

If they are going to have sex they need something to let us know they are having sex, before, during and after!

((and if J&S bring that horrid bathtub bubble sex (most godawful sex stuff I ever witnessed) to GH … well………………. ahaa ahaa!

(I needed to vent that…..

su0000, GH is on ABC not HBO!

OK su…its a soap not porn…lol

hey Timmmm & Jimh..
I guess you guys haven’t seen porn, or heard it… aha!! 🙂
Pleasurable noise is just natural when having sex, it’s not porn, it is natural…
Soap have robots programed to show a bare shoulder and a leg thrown in kiss and some see it as WHOOPIE HOT SEX … ahaa!

the least that can be done with the horrible plastic soap sex is to let us hear they are enjoying it… lol

He could do soooo much better. Too bad.

Penny…oh, I agree!!!!! I am S-O OVER ‘The Julexis Mania’!!!!! B-L-A-H!!!!!! N-e-x-t……….

Great way to express it, my friend, Jay. ‘Mania’ is perfetto!! Who falls for a woman well-past her prime to have so much sex?! I can only hope…. LOL.

Ew…i just threw up my dinner…lol

Unfortunately GH has just lost that special something that used to make it must-see for me (namely the addition of characters such as Nina and Franco, Kiki, etc.), but I will say that it is a nice change to see Alexis being portrayed as a still sexy woman instead of the menopause direction they were taking her.

Nancy Lee Grahn has ALWAYS been a gorgeous and vivacious woman and she and her character were done a terrible injustice by not having her involved in a romance for such a long time.

I SO agree Chrystie! I say that all the time…

Hi, Chrystie,
Alexis ‘time’ of menopause came and went a while ago. So, it would not even apply in her case, albeit that would have been a much more realistic storyline….just sayin’. Later.

I love that Alexis is FINALLY…hopefully…going to be happy in love and getting to the alter…and I love that they depict healthy sexual relationships across the board. But it does come off campy…I think the “choreography” needs a little more of this and a little less of that. Or something, lol. But practice makes perfect!

julian is a weasel, and i can’t wait for the day Anna puts his ass in jail or Sonny kills him or fill in the blank, i mean this is really a bad couple, i love alexis, but damn is she bad at picking guys, oh well can’t save everyone, the worst part is she knows how bad he is and what he’s done, but she must be so desperate, it kind of explains sam and why she’s so needy and will settle too. oh well, is not like she’s unaware what a major deutchbag he is.

You go, girl. More power to you, Aria. And, it bothers me to no end how we are not allowed to express our feelings, while those who doth protest do it, at will, all the time, themselves. One cannot change his/her tune mid-concert.
I have changed my song a few times, Aria, but, it took time. Later.

This is a case in which I am going to listen to my grandmother’s admonishment that if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

hi Harry 1
That was true before the internet / twitter and all.. LOL

I know, Su00, but sometimes even I get tired of the sound of my own negative voice.

Opps–I forgot to take off my Valentine’s Day Gag mask!

Well then I’ll say it, Harry1…..Calgon, take her away…….please! (No more boinkfests beneath the bubbles!)

Hey, Harry 1,
When did the color of your coat change? LOL.

You never fooled me, “Sir Harry I”……both your trademark use of that fond phrase “thing(s) of beauty” and the “Sparkle” designation were dead giveaways!

I don’t mind Alexis and Julian as a couple. But I do wish their story had been built more on relationship rather than their mutual sexual attraction since their first encounter in the bar and backseat of a car. But with everything going on around them…Christina and Ava in particular…I figure this big wedding is just a set up for all the other potential chaos to come. But it is too bad there hasn’t been a real wedding with no glitches on GH for a very long time, including the Robin/Patrick send off.

Exactly, Rose. I guess I could never express it the way you just did. I, myself, would have loved to have seen a mature couple such as they to act and interact as adults, and not as a continuation of ‘that’ fateful night ….’in the back seat of a car’. I, actually was not aware of that fact, Rose.
Regardless, you made your point, which says it all. This couple has grown children with multiple issues….some, life-changing.
I suppose, the Kristina topic has been talked about incessantly by the viewer, and therefore, TPTB have finally alerted Alexis to pay attention to her daughter’s subtle nuances. This is the story that should be on the forefront; not a wedding that will probably last one minute…or not take place at all!
There is no realism here. Forgive me for being repetitious….but, Alexis, in sexy-giddy-mode, is a wash-out for me. Not endearing; only petulant.
Later, Rose.

A wedding that “will not take place at all….” From your lips to the “Soap God’s” ear, CeeCeeGirl! After reading some select spoilers, I can only hope that indeed shall be the case! It’s time to put an end to this monotonously mediocre misalliance, and cut Julian loose to pursue either the mother of his baby son or anyone else more age-appropriate. As Harry has stated, the fact that this man looks so much younger than a woman that is supposed to be his junior by a few years is simply so obvious that one needs be myopic to miss it…..it cannot be ignored by any observant individual. From the fore, there’s never been any substance to this tawdry twosome…only repetitious, titillating activities which have become more laughable with each passing episode, and therein lies the inadequacy of the entire premise that these people actually belong together. The whole concept, especially that of a frou-frou wedding more befitting of a first-time bride, or at least a beloved long-time supercouple, just smacks of a fantastical cougar-inspired fairytale, not a realistic love story in any way, shape or form.

Hi Rose…as you probably know if you have read any of my posts, I too like Alexis and Julian. I think that the writers were compensating for not portraying Alexis as the sexual woman she is…so much so that they emphasized that part of this relationship before we had a chance to see them bond on screen emotionally. But I think after the original shock, panic we saw that Alexis was intrigued by the father of her child after all these years…was taken by his good looks…but became emotionally interested when he offered to help save Danny’s life even before he knew Danny was his grandson. The shared daughter, meeting after so many years, bonding over Danny…I think those commonalties combined set the ground for their relationship. And as much as they were groping each other every screenshot…they’ve not been portrayed that way in a while. We’ve seen them share a holiday, lunch at rhe metro court, at the Crimson offices…etc. So as much as the few who like to repeat over and over the naive, biased comments that that’s all Alexis does and thinks about…sex…that’s obviously not the case. I’m interested to see how they handle the wedding…I think the last, perhaps only wedding to go off without a hitch was Robin and Patrick’s first wedding. If I remember it correctly…

REPORT: Nicholas Chavez Not Returning to General Hospital

For those who were holding out hope that Daytime Emmy winner and fan favorite, Nicholas Chavez would be returning to General Hospital after filming his leading role in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters anthology, it looks like those hopes have been dashed.

According to a report from TV Line, although unconfirmed from General Hospital or a representative for Chavez, the actor will not reprise his role as Spencer Cassadine on the long-running ABC soap opera and continue the love story of Sprina opposite Tabyana Ali (Trina, GH).

Chavez was cast as Lyle Menendez over the the summer of 2023 for the second season of Murphy’s limited Monsters series on Netflix. In the upcoming season, the series will focus on the the case of Lyle and Erik Menendez, the two well-to-do Beverly Hills brothers accused of murdering their parents in 1989.

Photo: ABC

After word from Chavez casting was revealed, GH fans were concerned over the fate of the Sprina story, a spokesperson for GH shared,  “We support Nicholas’ endeavors and look forward to having him return to General Hospital once this project is wrapped.”

In story, the series “killed off” Spencer when he went overboard with Esme to the steely waters below after being injected with a drug, thanks to Esme and falling into the Seine River in France. However, his body was never recovered, and believed to have drowned or washed away. Thus, leaving an opening for Spencer to return in the form of Chavez or be recast down the line.

Photo: ABC

TV Line shared that ‘multiple sources’ are confirming that Chavez is not returning to the ABC soap opera, which is what many had suspected might be the case once he left for this major starring role in a Ryan Murphy project. Chavez has been relatively quiet on social media for months.

Photo: ABC

The Michael Fairman Channel spoke with Nicholas Chavez for a virtual interview when he first joined the show in 2021, and spoke to him right after when he won the Daytime Emmy in 2022 – you can see those below.

No word yet on when Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story will debut on Netflix, but it is assumed later this year.

Jack Wagner Open to Making an Appearance in ‘Melrose Place’ Reboot and Shares, “You Never Really Die on a Soap”

With the Melrose Place revival the talk of the town, now Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco, GH, ex-Nick, B&B and ex-Peter Burns, MP) has weighed-in on it and if he would show up in the new series if it should find a home.

Currently, CBS Studios is developing a reboot starring Heather Locklear, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton. But what is Dr. Peter Burns were to show up alive?

As those who saw the end of the original MP know, Peter and Amanda (Locklear) faked their deaths and then tied the knot with Peter on a beach, supposedly in a “happily ever after” scenario.

Photo: Fox

Speaking with PEOPLE, Wagner expressed, what we all know who watch the soaps, that no one is never, ever really gone for good. Jack expressed, “You never really die on a soap, right? How they unfold those two characters (Peter and Amanda), it’d be fantastic how they sort of tell that story.”

Wagner added, “That was a great finale to be included in, especially with Heather. If I’m asked to come back, I’d absolutely entertain that.”

Photo: Fox

The original Melrose Place aired for seven seasons from 1992 to 1999. The story featured the residents of an apartment complex, whose lives were intertwined. Eventually Wagner and Heather Locklear dated fro 2007-2011.

As previously reported, the new Melrose Place share that some of original neighbors and friends reunite after a death. The loglines add, “The pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”

So, would you like to see Jack Wagner return as Dr. Peter Burns on Melrose Place, or Frisco Jones on GH, or both? Comment below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Brook Lynn and Chase Have Their Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties

On General Hospital, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) both were treated to Bachelorette and Bachelor parties to shake off any of those pre-wedding jitters. At The Savoy, the ladies have a touching and fun time with Brook Lynn.

The bride-to-be gives a speech to thank everyone for coming, while Lois lets everyone know to try the signature cocktail the “Brooklynn Chaser”, which gets everybody eventually and mostly, drunk.

When Tracy (Jane Elliot) questions Lois (Rena Sofer) as to why there is no music for the party, Lois realizes she forgot, and somehow, who does she call to the rescue? Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)! Saving the day, he winds up playing some tunes and later gets on the dance floor to ‘shake it off’ with the gals.

Photo: ABC

Lois makes a speech as the mother of the bride, and shares how proud she is of the woman Brook Lynn has become. Wedding games begin, including one of “hot potato” with a wedding bouquet.

When it’s time for the “Silly Poses” section of the party, Spinelli has now morphed from DJ to staff photographer taking memorable photos of the ladies to remember the evening by.

Photo: ABC

The best part of the event, was when Brook Lynn tries to get her grandmother Tracy out on the dance floor, which, at first, she refuses. After several of the guests bust a move, a tipsy Tracy joins the dance party after Joss mentions that if her grandmother Bobbie was here, she would dance. Tracy says “she agrees” and begins to cut a rug on the floor, much to the delight of the other women.

Photo: ABC

In the final moments, a tipsy Joss and Kristina (Kate Mansi) have a confrontation about Sonny, and Joss lets Kristina in more on Sonny’s behavior, which looks to have clued in Kristina a bit more as to how something is way off about her dad.

Photo: ABC

Across town at the Hatchett Bar, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and the men with the exception of Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper), all attend Chase’s Bachelor Party where throwing hatchets into a dart board for supremacy is the order of the day. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Ned (Wally Kurth) get into some words over ELQ, while Dante makes a toast to his police partner, Chase.

Photo: ABC

Suddenly Dex (Evan Hofer) shows up. Chase thanks Dex for coming, but Dex gets some dirty looks from other cops on the force. Dante gives Chase his present, which is a signed baseball by the Boston Red Sox.

Ned (Wally Kurth) makes a speech that although no one is good enough for his daughter, Brook Lynn, Chase has come closer than anyone has, so welcome to the family. Running in at the end is Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), who just left Brook Lynn’s party, and she toasts her singing partner, Chase, and to the great man that he is.

What did you think of Brook Lynn and Chase’s pre-wedding celebrations? What was your favorite moment? Comment below.
