GENERAL HOSPITAL: Ava Is Trapped With A Serial Killer

Courtesy/ABC

Ava Jerome (Maura West) got an eyeful on Thursday’s episode of General Hospital when she finds Carly (Laura Wright) gagged and knocked out in the trunk of “Kevin’s” (Jon Lindstrom) car.  Just then, Carly begins to open her eyes, but Ava is stunned when she finds “Kevin” standing behind her.   When Ava is trying to process what she just saw and her groom’s reaction to the sight of Carly in the truck of his car, he tosses it off, and lets her know he has a handle on everything and to go back to their motel room and wait for him.

Later, in their motel room in Niagara falls, Ava considers calling 911, but in that moment decides against, and begins to think that “Kevin” has had a mental breakdown as he has in the past.  When he shows up, “Kevin”asks Ava to trust him,  But when Ava asks why Carly was in the trunk of his car, he responds that it’s a wedding gift for his bride-to-be.

Meanwhile, the manhunt is on for Ryan Chamberlain as the real Kevin Collins has now been admitted to General Hospital.  Chase (Josh Swickard) fills Lulu (Emme Rylan) in on what is going down and she finally remembers it was Ryan, not Franco (Roger Howarth), who stabbed her, and she was his victim when Ryan hypnotized her to believe Franco was the serial killer.

Laura (Genie Francis)is on her way to Niagara Falls with Jason (Steve Burton), who is going to find Carly and bring her home as he is worried sick about his best friend.  Cameron (William Lipton) who is in the Falls with Joss (Eden McCoy)and Oscar (Garren Stitt), who has had a major seizure, runs into Ryan, but doesn’t know it, until he has a phone call with Liz  (Rebecca Herbst) who fills him in that Franco is not the murderer, but Ryan is.  Cameron has the tip to help all, with the name of the motel where Ryan is at.  Liz phones Laura and she and Jason head off to find the motel..

When Jason and Laura arrive at the cabin, Laura stays in the car as Jason grabs his gun and heads to Ryan’s room.   When an unnerved Ava tries to  tell “Kevin” that he must let Carly go and bring her back to Port Charles safely before they get married, he informs  Ava there is nothing for her to worry about.  He has already taken Carly five miles east of the motel.  Next thing you know, the scene transitions to a shot of Carly lifeless on the ground.  We go back to Jason, who kicks down the  door to Ryan’s room with his gun drawn.

So, what did you think of Ava’s reaction to a kidnapped Carly in the trunk of Ryan’s car? What will happen when Ava realizes she is with Ryan Chamberlain? Share your thoughts as this story heads to its major conclusion, or is it?

there was a lot to process, clearly Ava is shock, its like she doesn’t really wanna go in her mind and believe that Kevin has gone bonkers. if she does it could make her realize he killed kiki. when she finds out he’s really Ryan Chamberlin wish is why Laura is there to reveal to her, well then she will go mama bear and “kill” Ryan. as long as Jason doesn’t become the one that captures/kills Ryan I’ll be ok, but if they turn this into Jason saving the day, then epic ending as far as I’m concern.

Love Kevin/Ryan, Ava, etc. Now Laura is propping up the mob. Unbelievable. Felicia, Mac, & Lucy should have been involved in this storyline.

Laura should have led the way; hey, she could have taken down Kevin on her own–and should have been allowed to by the writers.

So Ava is going to be pregnant by psycho Ryan and later she and Carly go into labor at the same time…then Ava switches the baby with Carly’s at the hospital???….and the baby will be called Damian and Carly discovers 666 on the back of the child’s head and says, ‘Well, this has got to be proof he really is a Corinthos’-lol???

JIM! Stop giving them ideas! I certainly hope there are knitting patterns for babies with cloven hooves.

Lol…and its true about the cloven hooves…you must have read the spoiler too

You say that like cloven hooves are a bad thing?

Satan, after I posted that comment, I KNEW you’d turn up. It’s sort of like playing with a Quija board. Ha! Jim, you’re still funny after all these years.

Way to go, Jimh! No more over the top than the whole concoction was/is.

Oh, me oh my–Jimmy!!– you slay me–what a way to start my day—look; reading your post made the sun play peek-a-boo!!…it’s going to be a sun-shiny-rainbow(y) day!!❤️

I just love reading everything you say…it makes my day…

Ava is a powerful queen; she will conquer over Ryan, and come out victorious in this! Maura West has been a shining beacon of light in this long-winded storyline, that I hope it wrapped up in the next week or so!

Its too bad they have to muck up the Ryan finale with all these other little boring SLs. We deserve better than this, considering how long we’ve waited for the Ryan outcome.
Oh well, we got to see Alexis come close to breaking her nose with her knees. So glad it turned out to be a dream/nightmare.

Hey again, Violet! I agree re the boring SL’s–story really lost any impact or real drama that it might have had.

The one thing I have always loved about Jason is when the man pulls his gun he is definitely going to use it not talk you to death but this time around Ava deserved that privilege . I do however hope they do not let Kevin off as the victim he did help set this whole thing in motion by not revealing his brother was still alive.

She was really taken in by him–thought she was more street-smart than not.
And she still insisted (after finding Carly in the trunk of the car) that it was KEVIN having a breakdown. Come on! That’s pretty dense!

I liked that Cameron bumped into Ryan. It was an awkward but valuable scene. If Ryan is so bad and he is, he killed nine women, why would he let Carly live? I dont mind if Jason saves Carly BUT it has to be Ava who kills Ryan.

He let Carly live as proof he really is insane-lol

Amen Jim!

She’s Jason’s special cargo, Jimmy—tiny, little bird that she is!!
I hope Ava draws Ryan out. Then, make him believe she believes in him—-when he least expects it —-BOOM!! Strike; in a New-York-minute–pardon the pun…..as fast and as lethal as an asp’s tongue/fangs!!
I struggled between Laura and Ava–who should take Ryan out—-Ava won out for me. Why? Because of Kiki. Lulu survived–Kiki is gone forever….well, unless she’s in hiding from Ryan, LOL. Hey, she could resurface. It’s a soap!!
❤️

Wish Laura (the WIFE, for heaven’s sake) had had more dramatic scenes. She SHOULD have. Having “Ryan” fall for Ava really stretches credulity–and takes away from the story line.

Right???? Funny thing, T—I said exactly that when eyeing Carly’s body in that small space “passing” as a trunk. How did Ryan lift her limp body?
If Ryan were the ogre he is; why did he not kill Carly?—-goes completely against his mental make-up. I was under the impression he left no one alive in his wake…..bad writing!!
Soooo, for a fiend as meticulously fastidious as he—again, I ask; why not kill Carly?
I, also, find the Carly/Jason relationship sort of creepy. I must lead a very sheltered life, Timmmy!!
Does Carly really need saving? The fact that she didn’t die while in the clutches of “Ryan the Ripper”, was a tell-tale sign she would live. The scene where she slid down that ramp ( whatever it was) evoked visions of another pregnant woman ( Sam) —-except that Sam gave birth on cat-poopie with her pants on!! Ha!!
So, why isn’t Sonny her hero? Weird, weird, weird…….
Speaking of Turkey ( the country–LOL), I did see so many turkeys acting as Turks who spoke perfect English. In which half of hemisphere? And, why would they speak English amongst themselves?
I must say that teen boy is soooo cute—unfortunately, by the end of his scene, he completely lost his strange Turkish accent and fell into a distinct America drawl…
He’s an eye-opener and a mouth-agape”r”. He should come to PC and be part of the ‘team’. Maybe Sonny could adopt him?
❤️

C, Jason and Carly do seem to do everything together but sleep with one another. She seems willing but he doesnt. I’m glad, I like that bromance that Sonny and Jason have. Speaking of Soneybuns, it is hard to believe he could go to Turkey and start threatening people. He must be a worldwide bully? But anyway, yes, I hope the young boy sneaks on Sonny’s plan and he takes him in. He can poke around with Joss once Oscar signs off! He would fit in with the teen scene!

I thought they were going to do a One Life to Live rip-off and send Carly over Niagara Falls like they did with Tina when she went over the Iguazu Falls in Argentina. Carly will definitely lose this baby. The pregnancy was stupid to begin with. Ava needs to get pregnant by Ryan.

I think she may be pregnant in real life, and they may be wanting to write it in.

I want to comment on the “dream sequence” of Alexis today–in such poor taste on International Women’s Day to have such “violence” and such chauvinistic talk by Julian about Alexis liking it “rough.” I’m disappointed in GH powers that be, the writers, and, most especially, Nancy Grahn for participating in the scenes as they were written. And don’t anyone say “It’s just a dream!” And to have Alexis be so “needy” for a man–to go back to the bottle of vodka. Shameful! Shame on all those involved.

It was a nightmare not a dream…

Yes! Better said!

And, commenting further: All involved (including Ms. Grahn) must surely be tone deaf, at the very least!

Nancy,Being as old as I am, at 86, I didn’t find it sexy, as they might have intended, but silly. I kind of saw it as a take on the Paso Doble dance, however, I didn’t really see it as violent. Maybe I’m more evolved than I thought.Ha,ha.

Hey there, Violet!
I saw it as violent because Julian said: “You like it rough!” And give me a more “smooth” and “easy” dance–maybe a waltz or even a smooth square dance: “Swing your partner, left and right,” and then “promenade home.” You get the picture, I’m sure! 🙂

Violet, you can’t be eighty-six! You look much younger in your posts.

Harry,
Now I know why “everybody’s wild about Harry” Thanks, remember age is just a number. At least that’s what I tell myself, every time I pass a mirror.

Harry…you’re too much…HaHaHa!! Love it!!

I am staying out of this one, Miss Violet—-Shay and I were roasted commenting on flailing legs and camisoles a’ hangin’ by one skimpy strap.
By the by—my GG ( great grandmother) was almost one hundred years old and watched soaps–her comments, much like her daughter’s , my Gran, were just as irreverently scathing as hers. My grandmother’s vocabulary is very colorful ( depends on one’s definition of the word) …one needs to be very stoic and keep a straight face. Especially in her Scottish brogue!! I have yet to figure out if she really means what she says. My grandfather simply looks at her and shakes his head.
You’re extremely tame by comparison.
I like Alexis now…..yet, I knew TPTB were going to go there again. I suspect this carnal, sweaty dream is just an introduction of more to come. If we were all lulled into thinking , “It ain’t gonna happen”?, well, it will.
Drew will end up with Dr. Nero and Alexis with Julian…..I hope not four-six times a day—that’s more than the daily intake of food. I’d be dead!!

Oh. My. God! Just when I thought that the pathetically wanton creature called Alexis could not be any more repulsive, she manages to plumb the depths of the disgusting and depraved to an even greater degree. In what universe does a “fantasy” such as this one be considered “acceptable?” And how on earth can anyone defend it? we’re supposed to hail the hideously flawed Alexis as some sort of mouthpiece/role model of modern day womanhood to be admired and applauded??? She’s obsessed with men and sex, consistently selects the most dangerously unsuitable mates and makes one bad life choice after another in her desperate quest for male companionship—often to the detriment of her own daughters by three different fathers—all whilst maintaining the demeanor of a giddy schoolgirl experiencing her first throes of slutty ectasy!!! And when it all goes predictably pear-shaped, she finds solace in the bottle….yes, there is soooo much to celebrate about this character who is completely bereft of both basic morals and common sense! Quite frankly, I find her an absolute insult and affront to my feminine senses.

Yes, Shey, and to my feminIST senses!

@Nancy….Thank you for your response! You say “to-ma-to,” I say “to-mah-to,” but we seem to agree that every woman should be strong and dignified whilst living her best life full of grace and self-esteem EVERYDAY of the year!!!!!! Sadly, Alexis simply does not demonstrate those qualities…more’s the pity!

JULEXIS Forever!!!

Nancy, I wanted to thank you for your nice comments you made to me but I am afraid to bother Michael Fairman as I know he is is a very busy man. That said, I could not agree with you more. I was back to liking Alexis again and then they have her reverting back to type. How many times must we see her struggle against her addiction to bad boys and her subsequent addiction to alcohol? She is sixty years old for heaven’s sake! I was not shocked or clutching pearls, but I was, however, incredibly bored.
I am hoping her new psychiatrist and potential love interest will finally get her to see she is attracted to bad boys because her father was a bad man and his love was unattainable to her. But she should have reached that psychological milestone a long, long time ago.

Thanks, Harry! And you’re so very welcome! I agree with you (again!) that “she should have reached that psychological milestone a long, long time ago.”

Harry,
You have very good insight. I think that’s what the writers want us to see in the loved starved Alexis, wanting someone like daddy, while knowing its not good or healthy, also as she told Finn, unable to change. I just can’t write her off as repulsive or disgusting, but as a woman to pity. Remember what I told you before Harry, age is just a number. We still crave love at sixty, I think, if I could remember that far back, ha,ha.

Violet, I agree–no one is too old for romance, for love and for sex. But one can be too old to continue repeating old, self-destructive patterns such as being attracted to bad boys. I think I wasn’t quite clear earlier.

Harry
They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks either, but hopefully in Alexis’s case her new doc can. A lot of women like the bad boy type, and it might be OK, as long as it doesn’t get to be hurtful and destructive.

And that last part is the cavaet there, Violet! When have Alexis and her various dalliances not become hurtful and destructive for her, but her children, too??? It’s happened so many times now that it has ceased to be fresh, provocative or interesting…only wholly predictible and tedious. Quite frankly, I cannot understand the entertainment value of seeing this obtuse character repeatedly subjecting herself to humiliation and degradation through her deplorably poor choices of bed partners, no matter the psychological motivations assigned to them. Sure, a lot of women like “bad boys, ” especially in their youth, but most reach a point in their maturity where they recognize that such dangerous romances lead to no good, and they learn from their past experiences. In the case of Alexis, she compounds every broken relationship by selecting an even worse mate the next time around…I’m sorry, but once someone has occupied the planet for five or six decades, some semblance of common sense should prevail!

Exactly, Violet. I have come to like Alexis since her departure from Julian. I have said something similar, not as eloquently as Harry….but, Alexis has very low self-esteem. This is why she turns to bad boys and the bottle. Intimacy makes her feel accepted and needed, while alcohol is a soothes her boo-boos. I doubt she know the true meaning of live–of a stable and lasting relationship. I’m glad she’s seeling a psychiatrist. Perhaps, whats-his-name cam put some order in her fragmented life.
I have come to feel sorry for Alexis. Suddenly she does not repulse me because I understand what drives her destructive nature. Alexis does not like herself—very low self-esteem; ergo, she loses herself in the sexual act and assumes it’s love. Pleasing her partner means pleasing herself ( not sexually, but rather emotionally). Unfortunately, these feeling of self-satisfaction do not last– the purr-ring stops –round ‘n round she goes.
Whether the writers want us to see the multi-faceted Alexis or not—repetition is a turn-off. Let’s not go that round again!!

But CeeCeeGirl, the problem is that for Alexis “seeing a psychologist” defines something wholly different than it would for you, me and the rest of the sensible population. There will be no “self-discovery” or “emotional breakthroughs” for this character through therapy. In her world, that expression shall just mean sleeping with him….mark my words!!!! The predictible nature of this piteous creature makes that a certainty…Hence the question isn’t isn’t if, but when….and how many times??? As you said…repetition!

That scene was hot af.. I love that women over 30 have steamy sex lives

@Wil….I’m given to understand that there are copious amounts of websites dedicated to that very subject…Alexis would seem to be a natural fit for that particular cyber milieu.

Lane Davies Joins the Cast of General Hospital Setting up a ‘Santa Barbara’ Reunion with Nancy Lee Grahn

Some very intriguing casting news out of General Hospital. The ABC daytime drama has cast former Santa Barbara favorite, Lane Davies (ex-Mason Capwell), in the role of Fergus Byrne, an attorney who crosses paths with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

According to TV Insider, Davies will make debut the week of May 22nd.  As soap fans know, together with the aforementioned Grahn, they created the Santa Barbara supercouple of Mason and Julia Wainwright. Davies portrayed Mason Capwell family from 1984 through 1989.

Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time in Port Charles for Lane. From 2002-2004 he played Dr. Cameron Lewis and also shared on-screen story with Grahn.  At that time Davies, played Xander Smith’s father.

GH fans are wondering about the last name of Davies new character, “Bryne”. If you recall, Alexis got herself involved with therapist Dr. Neil Bryne, who died when Harmony broke into Alexis‘ house and killed Neil by injecting him with opioids.

Taking to her Instagram, Grahn shared her excitement at the upcoming on-screen reunion with Davies, “It never gets old. We do 😂…. but it doesn’t 😍. Lookin’ forward to another romp.”

So, what do you think about Lane Davies returning to GH to play an attorney in Alexis’ orbit? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Nikolas Gets an Earful from Ava About Sonny and His Meds; Nina and Drew Can’t Seem to Resist Each Other

Ava (Maura West) seems to feel she has a confidante in a jailed Nikolas (Adam Huss) on the Monday, April 29th episode of General Hospital. In story, Ava heads to Pentonville to visit her ex-husband before he is set to get transferred out of state.

When discussing her living relationship with Sonny (Maurice Benard), which Nikolas already knew about, Ava says she is happy about how her relationship with Sonny has been evolving, Nikolas ask if she’s in love with Sonny. Ava denies it, but goes on to say how great it is for her daughter, Avery to be living with both her parents, who are on the same side and not at odds.

Nikolas believes that Ava loves being in Sonny’s inner sanctum and the power that comes with it. Ava fires back that she spent years looking in from the outside and that everyone despised her. When Nikolas brings up Nina (Cynthia Watros), she says Nina never really could understand the true type of man that Sonny is.

Then, Ava launches in on Carly (Laura Wright), and how she would love to stick it to her, for all the times she blocked Ava from seeing her child and Carly’s attitude towards her. Then, Ava admits to Nikolas that she knows that Sonny has a watered-down version of his bipolar medication, which is making him more vulnerable and she’s capitalizing on it for her own gain. She says she needs to figure out who is responsible, but Nikolas voices concern for Ava’s plan and that if Sonny ever found out she knew about it and did nothing, he would be on the warpath against her. Ava promises she knows what she’s doing. When she says goodbye to Nikolas, he looks upset and sad, as he still seemingly cares for Ava.

Meanwhile in Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) office, Nina walks in complaining about Carly giving her a hard time about maintenance in her office. Nina wants payback for Jason (Steve Burton) buying Carly the hotel, but Drew is not up for playing games with her.  She says they both want revenge on Jason and Carly, which Drew denies. Next thing you know, Nina grabs Drew and kisses him. Although, it seems he might walk out the door and away from her, he locks it, and the two proceed to have round 2 of their hate-sex.

Elsewhere, Anna tells Jason about her shooting Charlotte and her concern about Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) involvement with Pikeman. Meanwhile, Valentin visits Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) in Pentonville, where threats are laid out to make Sonny look like the guilty party in eliminating Jason, while Anna is the line of fire, if she doesn’t keep her nose out of Pikeman business, which worries Valentin, who doesn’t want Anna getting hurt in any of this.

So, what do you think about Ava’s plans? Did you like seeing Nikolas back on the canvas? Are you all for a Drew/Nina continued affair? Will Anna get caught in the crossfire only to be saved by Valentin? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below.

Haley Pullos Receives 90-Day Jail Sentence Following DUI Charge And Wrong-Way Car Crash

Former General Hospital actress, Haley Pullos (ex-Molly Lansing-Davis) is going to be doing time in jail, exactly one-year after her arrest from a hit and run wrong-way car collision.

The crash resulted in bodily harm and damages to the other driver, and now Pullos who pleaded “no contest” to the charges and will serve 90 days in jail. She was taken in custody on Monday, April 29th, after the ruling.

According to Haley’s attorney, Mark Daniel Melnick, the 25-year-old actress struck a plea deal and after her three months in jail will be sentenced on July 29th. As part of that sentencing, she must serve five years probation, 200 hours of community service and pay $8,260 in restitution to Courteney Wilder, the other driver in the crash and her driver’s license is revoked for a year.

Melnick said in a statement to PEOPLE, “Haley is very grateful to the court for a minimum sentence and for recognizing her remorse and the strides she has made in her sobriety.”

Back in April 29 of 2023, and at the scene of the crash, the police found edibles and mini-bottles of tequila in Pullos’ vehicle and that she was intoxicated. As it turned out, this was to be the second hit and run in the evening for Pullos who had an earlier collision with another car.

The courts decision follows a year-long legal battle with Haley’s pleas changing throughout it, ranging from “not guilty” to “no contest”. She sought treatment for her drinking at a rehab following the crash.

Nancy Lee Grahn, who portrayed Pullos’ on-screen mom took to X on Monday night, April 29th and shared on the sentence and the specific jail, Haley will be serving time: “As Haley’s TV mom I can tell some truths about her as I’ve loved her since she was little girl. She made a HUGE mistake, knows it, owns it & has spent the last yr doing EVERYTHING imaginable to take responsibility 4 it. It’s not that I oppose jail. It’s that I oppose this jail.” The jail in question by Grahn is the L.A. county jail.

So, what do you think about Haley Pullos serving a 90-days jail sentence, and the other rulings that will be part of her sentencing? Comment below.
