Erica tells Jack she needs to attend to some “business” and goes to see Caleb and Jackson watches from afar.  Krystal consoles Jack over the Erica situation. Krystal worries about Annie’s downward spiral and warns her to stay away from both Marissa and the bar.  JR reassures both Marissa and Krystal that he has the Annie situation under control; he’s called Dr. Burke from Oak Haven. JR is disturbed when he finds the stolen jewelry in Annie’s room. Kendall and Greenlee bond; Kendall offers up her house to Greenlee for the wedding but she says she’d rather have the wedding at Fusion.  Kendall, Greenlee & Ryan all toast to Kendall’s return to Fusion. After Ryan takes David to the rooftop mayhem ensues. Ryan threatens him and says he will be arrested for appearing to escape; Ryan’s got all areas covered and leaves.  David’s cuffed after Jesse finds him and despite insisting his innocence all evidence (a helicopter, Ryan’s alibi) points to a planned escape. With David “missing” from his room, Erica heads off to find Kendall after Jesse says David might want revenge on the person who shot him. When Marissa threatens to quit David insists Ryan set him up. David uses his one phone call to call Kendall down to the prison.  He brings up the photo of her trying to smother him with the pillow but Kendall doesn’t seem concerned. As she walks out Kendall collapses to the ground. Annie admits to JR that she staged the burglary which is the last straw for him. JR insists they can’t be together until unless she talks to someone. JR tells Tad that he won’t cut Annie loose just because she is “broken”.   JR returns Marissa’s stolen belongings, claiming he found them in pawn shop. Brot & Natalia each take measures to be together. When Brot is unsuccessful in getting fired, he resigns, but after Natalia tells the group she got a job with the Philly PD Jesse admits he stopped Brot’s letter from going through. Before visiting with David at the prison, Kendall shares an awkward moment with Ricky when she thinks he’s asking her out but both admit they just want a friendship.  The two make a date for dinner the following week. Jackson walks in on Erica and Caleb in an embrace and jumps to conclusions. Erica tells Jackson that he’s got the wrong idea and admits Kendall shot David and that’s why she’s been so close with Caleb lately.

Tensions run high between Erica and Jackson over their strained relationship as they deal with the fact Kendall is back in the hospital.  Jackson expresses his frustration with Erica for keeping things from him and she admits David knows that Kendall was the one to shoot him. Griffin informs Erica and Jackson that Kendall is developing an aneurysm. Cara becomes frustrated after Tad declines her offer of help on his investigation.  Knowing Jake was the one to put the kibosh on it, she asks him not to act differently towards her now that he knows the truth of her leukemia. Kendall barely survives her collapse and David is unlocked from his cell to help revive her. Madison’s pregnancy starts to show & Scott helps her to cover up her bump in front of Bianca. Madison drives Ryan to the hospital after learning about Kendall’s collapse and they share memories of their relationship.  Greenlee’s grateful Madison didn’t let Ryan get behind the wheel because he had been drinking at Krystal’s. Despite Ryan’s admission to Greenlee that they can get through anything she still holds back from telling him about Madison’s pregnancy.  JR wants to keep good ties with Marissa after the divorce and seemingly cut ties with Annie.  Marissa and JR agree to be good parents to AJ and remain friends. Annie gets worried JR’s breaking up with her when he says she just ruined everything and can’t take it anymore. Scott starts to take his relationship with Madison more serious than just a fling but when they’re by Kendall’s he notices the longing in her eyes towards Ryan.

Kendall’s friends and family try to convince her to get the surgery.  Erica encourages her not to give up and promises to be there to help her move on after it’s all over. Kendall overhears Ryan and David arguing outside her room and she flashes to a memory of shooting David. Griffin informs Bianca that Kendall could die during surgery. After Kendall reveals she was the one who shot David, Griffin leaves a message for Erica on Kendall’s behalf.  When Kendall doesn’t hear back she leaves to go and find her. After the cab driver drops her by the park Kendall’s hit with abdominal pain and collapses.  Luckily Griffin reaches Kendall on her cell and after she tells him what happened he along with Jake and Cara go find her.  As they’re on the way to the hospital they get into an accident with Annie. The Hubbard’s and Brot have a celebratory dinner for Natalia. Brot gives Natalia one of his Iraq medals for not running away from them and their love. Annie’s downward spiral starts to become unbearable. An exhausted JR reassures her that he loves her and suggests they both go and see Dr. Burke.  After JR is called away on business Colby shows up and gets Annie to admit that she was behind the burglary. Once Colby admits she taped the confession Annie handcuffs her to a chair and races home to make her appointment with Dr. Burke. As she’s rushing home she sees a hallucination of Marissa and winds up crashing her car into the ambulance carrying Kendall, Griffin, Jake and Cara.

Christopher Cousins Makes His Y&R Debut: What Were Your First Impressions of Alan Laurent?

Soap veteran, Christopher Cousins (ex-Cain, OLTL et al), made his first appearance on The Young and the Restless on the Tuesday, April 30th episode of the CBS daytime drama.

As previously reported, Cousins is taking on the role of Ashley’s friend/psychiatrist from Paris, Alan Laurent. In story, the Abbotts flew Alan in from Paris to see Ashley (Eileen Davidson) first-class ticket to Genoa City, no less.

Alan recalls to Traci (Beth Maitland) how Ashley was upset after revisiting the cafe where she had the fight with Tucker (Trevor St. John), and had two different versions in her mind of what actually happened. Traci enlightens Alan that Ashley has been having personality shifts from being assertive, to child-like, to taking tequila shots and having a good ole’ time. In addition, that Ashley is having blackouts with chunks of time gone from her memory.  Traci goes on to say that Billy (Jason Thompson) said he once experienced something like this himself with a personality splinter.

Traci is hoping Alan can talk to Ashley and insist she undergo treatment. Alan firmly explains that he can’t treat her himself, but he will see what he can do.

When Ashley, now as her alter Belle, comes to the Abbott home after chatting with Diane (Susan Walters) at Crimson Lights, she is thrilled to see her old friend, Alan. Eventually, the two head to Society where a concerned Abby (Melissa Ordway) pours them some champagne.

The two talk about Paris as Belle flirts with Alan. She then wonders if he is in town to probe her innermost thoughts. She tells Alan that her family has decided there’s something wrong with her. Alan assures Ashley that he cannot treat her as a patient in the U.S. as he is retired and does not have a license to practice in the states. Alan said he is concerned for her, but would never treat a friend.

Belle tells Alan, “The rumors about my mental breakdown are highly exaggerated.” Belle speaks to the other alters, and thinks Alan is the perfect solution for Ashley. She says, “Time for some joie de vivre.”

What did you think of Christopher Cousins in his new role as Alan Laurent? Will Ashley’s alters get Alan in bed with her? Will she set him up for something more devious? Will Alan figure out what is going on with Ashley and pretend to just be her friend, while somehow treating her multiple personality disorder? Let us know in the comment section below.

AMERICAN IDOL: Katy Perry Makes a Heartbreaking Decision as Top 7 are Revealed

It was dramatic American Idol on Monday night. The episode marked the return of the “Judges Song Contest”, where Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie each serve up a song choice for the contestant to sing, and they must choose one and then figure out who recommended that song choice.

As in the past, when it got down to the bottom two from the at-home voting, the judge who scored the most picks of their song choices by the contestants, was in the drivers seat and could ultimately save one of the two performers to sing another day.

After a night of sterling musical performances by Jack Blocker performing Willie Nelson’s Always On My Mind, Abi Carter doing her rendition of Evanescence’s Bring Me to Life, and Emmy Russell performing her grandmother Loretta Lynn’s classic, Coal Miner’s Daughter, the following were safe after the nationwide vote.

Photo: ABC

The aforementioned, Blocker, Russell and Carter, plus Will Moseley, Triston Harper, and Julia Gagnon. However, that left McKenna Faith Breinholt and Kaibrienne in the bottom two. At that point, Katy Perry conferred with her co-judges and announced with tears in her eyes, in an almost impossible choice for her, to save Breinholt, thus Kaibrienne’s run on ‘Idol’ came to an end.

Photo: ABC

The episode also welcomed back former Idol contestants Danny Gokey, Melinda Doolittle and Colton Dixon for a performance of “Shackles,” in honor of former Idol contestant, Gospel artist, and Grammy-winner, Mandisa who passed away earlier this month at 47.

So, did America get the Top 7 right? Did Katy do right by keeping McKenna for the Top 7 and sending Kabrienne home given her choices? Are there too many country artist contestants left in the mix? Share your thoughts via the comment section below. But first watch what happens when the final 7 are whittled down and Katy’s anguised decision.
