My all time forever favorite was Luke and Laura on the run from Frank Smith/left handed boy. The only other story that came close to grabbing me like L&L was Sonny and Alexis coming together.

Lesley taking the wrap for Laura killing David Hamilton. Denise Alexander was amazing on the stand and the love that Rick and Lesley shared through that was awesome!

Ned/Lois and Eddie Maine was such a fun story.

Agree!

What I remember are my favorite episodes of GH are: Luke & Laura’s Wedding, Anna,Robert, Shawn Donnelly, (the day’s of the WSB)…The first time Robert met his daughter Robin ! Liked Audry & Dr. Hardy(great couple) & when Dr. Hardy would alway’s
tell the Christmas Story To the kids in the hospital & everyone else that was there. Liked
the romance between Bobbie & Dr. Drake (Rick Springfield). The first time Laura came on the show. Liked the Webber brothers….There is so many good stories then & especially now(2013)!

Everything you said is what i liked too, though there was some much earlier stuff with Jessie Brewer i liked as well plus a few other things.

The metro court countdown one of the best story n brought scrubs together! Even though we knew that Robin was ok the way each day played was magic…we need scrubs magic back!

Too many great moments to mention. The mob stuff grew tiresome after awhile. Glad thats not the shows main focus anymore.

Agreed! The disappearance of the mob stories brought me back to GH.

Left Handed Boy storyline hands down.
I also loved the whole Grant Putnum/Celia Quartermaine/Jimmie Lee storyline
Monica/Rick/Alan back in their heyday
Heather’s first round giving the LSD
Luke & Laura’s Wedding and basically their entire love story even starting in the disco… ick how it happened but who can forget Herb Albert’s “Rise” playing?!

So many great moments..

I’m a big Robert Scorpio fan, so mostly all the story involving him with Holly, Anna, Sean, Frisco, Luke.Laura etc, etc.

When Robert Scorpio first showed up for the ice princess, I got hooked on GH ad stayed hook for all his time on the show. RobertHolly marriage pf convenient and falling in (Swoon) with Luke coming back from the dead, Susan Moore murder investigation, Robert ex-wife and Anna/Robert back story, The mount rushmore adventure, Robert marrying Anna, loved all of it.

I agree with everything in your post. Robert Scorpio, IMO, the best character ever. However, where is he now??????

Robert Scorpio IS the best character. I do love Luke though, but Robert was the first daytime super spy! Anna is also amazing-she was kicking ass and taking names before “Alias,” “Covert Affairs” and all these other shows.

I loved the mystery stories like the one where the then chief of police (Bert Ramsey) was fournd out to be “Mr. Big!” Who woulda thunk it??

This was one of mine, too, Justin! Loved Bob Hastings in that role!

That was a great storyline! Mild-mannered Burt!

There are so very many really great stories that I can not just go with one..
I liked the so-called mob years. always on the edge.
Also, all the early years of the Quartermain stories were a favorite.
Th weddings were an event , not a story, so not anything great just glitter and flash..

(Recently I like the Caleb story ..

I enjoyed when the real Grant Putnam was revealed to be locked away as Patient 402.

Luke and Laura’s wedding. Jason telling Sam that her daughter Lila had died. Kristina’s funeral (Alexis’ sister) when Alexis threw her sister’s ashes on Sonny. This past Thanksgiving, the tribute to Edward with he and Lila walking upstairs at the end. Stone’s death. And so many others – too many to list. What an amazing show with a rich history.

Metro Court and Elizabeth and Jason.

I was a devoted GH fan back in the day and remember so many great stories. I suppose some of my favorites are (in no particular order):
When Phil Brewer finally got what was long overdue and the trial of Jessie for his murder. (She didn’t do it.)
When Lucille March finally became Mrs. Al Weeks. (That was so cute.)
Steve and Audrey finally getting together permanently.
The Ice Princess story – Luke and Laura on the run again and the introduction of Robert Scorpio, Sean Donnelly and Tiffany Hill. (And who could forget Agent O’Reilly.)
Monica’s breast cancer story was very compelling and exceptionally well done.

Sean was not brought on during the ice princess, he was part of the aztec story 3 yrs later

I remember Agent O’Reilly getting shot while she was in the phone booth. So sad! That Aztec Storyline was THE longest mystery they ever had; it went on over the course of two summers if I recall.

Any and every time close friends Dr. Steve Hardy and Nurse Jessie Brewer sat down in Steve’s office and discussed what was going on in the hospital and in each other’s lives. In the early years, if the show was appointment viewing, your appointment was with Steve and Jessie. They were GH’s Nancy and Chris, Tom and Alice, Maeve and Johnny, Joe and Ruth…etc.

There are too many to pick just one! I love GH!!! Of course Luke and Laura’s wedding, Jason and Brenda’s wedding, Maxie and Spinelli’s non-wedding, Tracy and Luke’s weddings (all), Robin’s first scenes with Robert, anything with Robert and Anna, Lucy discovering Nik and Liz having an affair, anything with Laura, Luke, and Lucky, Robin and Patrick’s weddings, Sonny and Brenda’s weddings, any of the karaoke scenes at Jakes, the Metro Court hostage situation, anything with Carly and Jax, anything with Jason, Spinelli, Maxie, Brenda, Molly, Diane, Tracy, and Emma. the Ice Princess story, anything Cassadne, anything Faison, the Santa episode with Maxie and Spinelli, Frisco and Felicia, Robin and Stone, Robin’s death, Jason’s death, the Nurse’s Balls, and way to many more wonderful storylines and episodes!!! I have seen most of the 50 years and have loved them all!!! Congratulations GH!!! Love the show… can’t wait for the next episode and wish they were longer!!!

Luke and Laura wedding(because of Elizabeth Taylor). Jason and Sam wedding because it was odd and special. Maxie and Spinelli non-wedding. Sonny and Brenda’s wedding,Lucky and Liz wedding.Mod story with Manny.Shooting at the church with Jason and Sonny. The Cassidines, and anything Carly and Jaxs and anything Jason and Sam especially the Mexico trip looking for Michael and Kristina.Robin and Jason’s death. The birth of Daniel and the death of Edward Q.I liked Todd, sepecially when Sam went to work for him.

My all time favorite is when Sonny confronted Brenda and found the wire tap on her. Best emotional scenes ever! Second favorite would be when Lucky was supposedly killed in the fire and the fallout scenes with Elizabeth, Luke and Laura.

My two favorites (I couldn’t have just 1) are the time in 1978 when Laura killed David Hamilton and Lesley took the wrap. Amazing writing by Doug Marland and I was glued to my TV set during the summer of 1980 when my Luke and Laura were on the run for their lives. Pat Falken-Smith’s writing was at its peak, Genie and Tony were pure gold and the world was in love with them…

Loved Laura and Scotty with Bobbie. Frank Smith, Ice Princess, Heather on LSD, Susan Moore’s murder, Alan trying to kill rick and Monica, Mexico, Bobbie in Florida, Mt rushmore, Bombing of the arts festival, Faison and the crystal, Robert’s showdown with faison, Jagger, Karen, Jason shipwrecked, Bobbie held hostage, Luke and Laura’s return, Audrey and steve attacked, BJ’s death, Puerrto rico, Stone and Robin, Nurses Ball, Mary Mae and Edward, Damian’s murder, Casadine takes over hospital, Carly;s revenge, Liz and Lucky, End Game, Lucas’ coming out, Hotel Fire, Train wreck, Scubs, Robert and the virus, Anna’s return, Brenda’s return, and everything in the last year!

Diana was killed by Alice Grant. Heather accidentally took the poisoned tea..

My all time favorite was liason but now I’m loving quiz & I did love l&l when it was Greg v!!!

Wow, so many but here it goes: MEMORABLE STORY LINES…..
The Diana Taylor Murder–who did it? Lassa Fever….. Rick and Monica–their passion for each other, The Ice Princess, Bobbie and Roy Deluca, Laura being hypnotized by David Gray, Robert Scorpio as Police Commissioner, Grant Putnam as a DVX agent, Natalia telling Luke she was a spy, The chemistry between Courtney and Jax, the idea of Kelly’s Diner, being a place for so many, The Floating Rib–yesterday and today, Lois and Ned, Sky being a Quartermaine, Sonny falling for Emily, The bringing to life of Heather Webber, Frisco, and so many others!!

I start watching GH in 2003

And JASAM caught my eye

When kelly monaco(sam) lost her baby, I was

Mesmerize

That story of her and Steve (jason) blending together and

bonding together was magical!!!!!

2004 was a good/ bad for JASAM
That was GH AT THEIR BEST!!!!!

o,k….im really dating myself now ,, but i remember way back when audreys son lil tommy was kidnapped,,,,i think by phil brewer if my memories are correct,,,it went on for months…at the end of every show audrey would look into the camera and say ,,oh tommy where are you….i was like 7 years old at the time ,,this was pre luke and laura…2nd choice definetly leslie takeing the blame for laura killing david hamilton

oh 3rd would have to be laura coming out of a comatose state and going back into it,,not the best storyline but genie francis blew it out of the water on this one,,,,with an emmy at the end for her

1. Alice killed Diana Taylor but tried to frame Anne Logan.
2. Luke returns from the “dead” to find his lady love, Holly married to best friend, Robert.
3. Laura’s return from the “dead” in 1983.
4. The Laurelton Murder mystery with Terry & Bobbi and introduced Lucy Coe.
5. Who killed DL Brock
6. Robin/Stone AIDS story
7. BJ’s death
8. Tiffany & Sean battle for Lucas

Alice didn’t try to frame Annie, it was Heather. She wrote Anne’s name using Diana’s finger to make it look as though Diana was trying to write it in her own blood. I remember Bert Ramsey asking Anne if she spelled her name with an “e” at the end because it was important.

My favorites would be Lucy and Doc, Anna and Robert, Patrick and Robin, Robin coming to Port Charles and the Asian Adventures –

My absolute favorite is everything involving Luke and Laura. This ice princess, their wedding, their adventures on the run but most of all the moment Laura told Luke she was pregnant. A very close second is the love story of robin and stone and their HIV storyline. That storyline brought so much awareness to the cause and showed the realistic effects of the disease, stone’s death and robin’s life showcased both ends of the spectrum. I will always be so proud of GH and all the actors involved!!!!!

My ALL TIME favorite GH story? The Bradley Ward disappearance aka murder mystery. I loved the way it unfolded from Lucky and Sly found the bloody nightgown and gun in Mary Mae’s house and then Luke and Laura unearthed Bradley’s body while digging a rose garden. The pace, the twists and turns, it was old fashioned and brilliant storyline that kept us on our toes through out.

What ever did happen to Cousin Sly? And his sister Jennie?

So many
Luke and Lauran on the run, Laura’s return outside of the mayor mansion (with the Laura theme song by Chris Cross in the background), Dominque’s death and dieing in Scotty’s arms, Robin and Stone’s romance, the Cassadine weather machine and the discovery of Anna (Love) being Robin’s mother . There are so many others!

I have watched for a long time with a few shut off in disgust.
I loved Robert with Robin and Anna showing up the story of the Chinatown , kidnapping Robin, her three godfathers.
BJ”S heart story, Felicia knocked it out of the park, she made me cry seeing it was BJ’s heart yet her daughter would live.
Loved almost all the show Loved AJ trying his damnedest to get his son from the mob. , Hated and still will not watch any and all the mob stories killers and mob bosses as hero’s introduced me to other soaps.
I love Sean and Tiffany, the wedding still makes me laugh The show had far to many couples I liked, Bobbi with Tony, original Jerry Jacks. Jax in the beginning.
I loved Kevin, Lucy, Mac Felicia. I loved Felicia with Frisco .
Loved Lucky as a child he was great. Lucky with Liz after the rape, and when he found out his father raped his mother and his world collapsed. Loved him as a child like Robin, they were the future of the show, and they still could be.
Loved seeing he didn’t die in the fire. Laura with her heart broken when she thought her son was dead. Even liked Nickolas and his relationship with his brother later on.
The adventure stories were fun to watch, then the show was completely ruined. Mob, Mob Mob. ? So many great memories so much to choose.

My all-time favorite storyline was the love story and marriage between Holly & Robert Scorpio. A great story and a wonderful romance with amazing chemistry between the actors. It showed at last that a happy marriage did not have to be boring! I hope we get to see Holly & Robert again during the 50th Anniversary!

I started watching GH around 1970 when I was 8 years old. My aunt got my sister and I hooked on it along with OLTL. Stopped watching late 80s/early 90s when plots became too unbelievable which lost my interest and came back last year when RC and FV took over. In the past 43 years my favorites were/are…..

Relationships: Steve & Audrey; Sharon & Henry; Jane & Howie; Dan trying to woo Jessie; Lucille & Al; Lee & Gail; Peter & Diana; Rick & Lesley; Scotty & Laura; Bobbie & Noah; Heather & Joe Kelly; Rose & Hutch; Edward & Lila; Alan/Monica/Rick; Celia & Jimmy Lee Holt; Robert & Tiffany; Luke & Tracy; Kristina & Trey; Kate/Sonny/Connie, Britt/Patrick/Sabrina; Maxie/Spinelli/Ellie.

Other characters: Jeff; Amy; Ruby; Emma; Epiphany.

Storylines: Audrey accused of murder (the first storyline I remember with the victim lying near the toilet); Laura accidently killing David Hamilty with Lesley confessing to the murder; Scotty proposing to Laura at the Christmas tree along with their wedding and honeymoon; Heather’s obession with Jeff, infamous iced tea swtich, framing Annie for Diana’s murder, building relationship with Joe Kelly; Lefthanded Boy; Maxie’s pregnancy; Susan Moore’s murder; Alan trying to kill Rick & Monica only to find them in the rubble holding hands. The one my sister and I looked forward to the most every year was Steve Hardy’s Christmas story. It was a must see. Wish they would play still put it on at Christmas instead of a recent episode.

I’m sure I’ve missed other relationships/characters/storylines that will be remembered as soon as I hit “submit” but really happy to be back at GH. 🙂

Cartini are doing s fabulous job in their writing People should not give up. Remember
nothing is as it seems. they are touching all basis for the 50th anniversary. enjoy the ride. I don’t think you will be sorry.

You know, I almost feel sorry for Demi Moore. Has anyone else noticed that, in all this hoopla over GH’s 50th, absolutely no one is clamoring for the return of Jackie Templeton?

Some of my favorite GH moments from over the decades I’ve watched (in no particular order, and too many more to mention):

1. The left handed boy/Luke & Laura on the run.
2. The Ice Princess story line
3. Brenda’s mental breakdown at a photo shoot
4. Robin & Stone’s AIDS diagnosis/the Nurses’ Ball extravaganzas
5. Rena Sofer as Lois Cerullo
6. Spinelli calling Sonny “the Pacino-esque one”
7. Alexis toking up on medical marijuana during her cancer treatment
8. Monica’s breast cancer
9. BJ/Maxie’s heart transplant
10. Laura’s 1983 return

Thanks for the memories, GH, and under your current production team I trust that the best is yet to come!

I worked with Demi Moore on a movie once. Trust me, she’s no one anyone need clamor for!

Funny you should say that the actor who played Steve Hardy said she was awful he could not figure out how she made it into the movies.

Loved the Laura/Leslie/David Hamilton storyline and the whole cheesy but fun Ice Princess storyline.

I loved the ”whodunit” stories, all of them that kept me on the edge wondering, they were the great ones ..
I never was couple/love story person..
From the first radio soap love story that ended in breakup the misery of soap opera love stories have been much the same with different actors playing out the same old happy to heartbreak stories for 60 years, blah….
so yah, the mysteries, thrillers, chillers, are my favorites..

I did not start watching GH until the airplane scene with Sonny and Brenda. I think this was around 1994. My cousins used to watch this show and I watched SANTA BARBARA, if it had not been cancelled yet. Otherwise I might have been watching a little GUIDING LIGHT.

Anyway, I missed all the fun of the 80s – its hey day, but I had homework! 🙂

I did enjoy Liz with Jason after Lucky “died.” I enjoyed the transformation of Carly (played by Sarah Joy Brown, at the time). I enjoyed the comedy of Brenda and Jason being married; the comedy of Jax and Alexis and Ned and Chloe being married. Robin and Patrick finally getting their act together, though watching them argue was fun. I liked Lulu and Johnny, though Lulu and Dante were/are really something. I liked Jerry Jacks as played by Sebastian Roche and his attraction to Alexis. I liked Xander. The arrival of Damien Spinelli. I loved Liz and Lucky and Nick and Emily at Kelly’s.

Sadly I think there were more things I remember that I did not like during that time – Felicia cheating on Mac with Luke; Emily being killed off; Georgie being killed off; Edward being replaced by CC Capwell; Sam sleeping with Rick. Sonny’s sister and her involvement with Jason and AJ and Jax and Nikolas. The missed opportunities between Liz and Jason. But that is all in the past.

I can say I am very delighted to be part of the rebirth of GH and being able to see all these LEGENDS: Tristan Rogers, Finola Hughes, Tony Geary, Genie Francis, Constance Towers, Anders Hove, Kristina Wagner, Jack Wagner, Lynn Herring, Kin Shriner, Robin Mattson, etc., etc. I am very excited for the future.

My absolute favorite storyline was the Ice Princess caper. Everyone on that mystery Island, the location shoots, the introduction of the Cassadines. Everyone seems to forget that Mikko’s brother Victor (played by Thaao Penghlis) wasn’t killed but sent to prison. I think they should bring HIM back onto the show and have him hooked up with his sister-in-law Helena to take revenge on the Spencers. I’ve emailed one of the show’s ep’s about it on Facebook but I think he ignored me lol.

Left-handed boy/Frank Smith was a close second. Something no one ever mentions from the Left-handed boy story was “Sally” the cross-dressing hitwoman…I mean hitMAN. How groundbreaking was THAT in 1980?

That David Gray/Sword of Malkuth storyline was also cool.

Luke & Laura reuniting at the Mayor’s Residence was even better than their Wedding!

And I liked when Luke and Robert had a falling out because Robert married Holly. They patched things up after that Prometheus Disk Caper, and I always remember Robert saying “schedule” the way the Brits/Aussies do and Luke corrected him and said it the “American” way. That was when you knew they would be friends again 🙂

Boy there are some stories that I like going way-back-when.There’s no particular order here, just as they pop into my mind. There was an interracial love story involving a blind-from-birth white man and a black doctor. He didn’t know what “color” was and he fell in love. There was Audrey’s storyline with her secret baby and the blackmailing Mrs Nelson who Audrey was accused of murdering. There was the who-dun-it murder of Phil Brewer with all the suspects going in and out of the doctor’s office – ultimately is was Augusta McLeod who was uncovered as the murderer. The Diana Taylor (when played by Valerie Starrett) pregnancies. I enjoyed the David Hamilton/Lesley/Laura triangle and his death and Lesley’s false confession to protect Laura. Luke and Laura on the run. Their wedding with Elizabeth Taylor in attendance. The Ice Princess storyline. The heart transplant surgery from BJ to Maxie. There was Kevin O’Connor the murderer and the introduction of Lucy Coe as a mousy librarian storyline. Anything in the early years with the Quartermaines. The AIDS storyline with Stone and Robin. I could think of more, but enough said. Let it be said though, that I have hated everything and anything to do with the Sonny mob and the characters involved in any pro-Sonny storyline.

My favorite storyline is the growing romance and adventures of Frisco and Felicia. I now watch GH with the return of Frisco Jones for the 50th anniversary. I really hope and a lot of my many friends hope that Jack will sign on for a lot longer than just for the 50th. Their growing romance is every young girls dream of having and to me they are the #1 super couple. The other super couples are great as well but these two will always be my favorite.

My favorite storyline is of course when Felecia came onto the show. Her being an Aztec Princess, and how Frisco hid her from the goons that were looking for her. The whole Aztec treasure storyline. Also when Tony got shot, and how Frisco blamed Felecia for it, how it tore them apart and how they slowly put them back together again, and how it bonded Tony, Tania, Frisco and Felecia together during that time. I liked how one sl drifted into the beginning of another sl. I loved the Asian Quarter sl, when Robert learned he had a six year old daughter, named Robin. Frisco and Felecia’s wedding. I loved the Laurelton sl. I loved the Brownstone, where everybody mostly lived. The introduction of Duke. Felecia and Frisco going on the run when she was accused of sealing money and the mink coat. Bert being Mr. Big. The Deaths of Tania, Stone dying of Aids. Frisco returning from the Dead, his reunion with Felecia. It took awhile but it did happen. Felecia’s pregnancy, and the birth of Maxie. Maxie’s heart transplant sl was a tearjerker, when Maxie was saved but Bj died. Frisco returning for that sl was the best. Felecia and Frisco reunion had resulted in Felecia getting pregnant again and giving birth to Frisco’s daughter, Georgie. There were so many great sl’s. Luke and Laura being on the run from Frank Smith. The Ice Princess sl. The introduction of Robert Scorpio, and Tiffany Hill. Jason and Sam’s sl. There are so many wonderful sl’s. GH keeps me watching. Now with the vets returning, especially Frisco Jones the show is being given new life. I am hoping Frisco will stay. I have been a devoted fan for 30+ years. Congrats GH on 50 years, I hope you make it toanother 50 years.

This is how I feel. I will always be and F&F fan also I understand why Felicia feels and why she went with Mac, not happy about it but I understand it. I think the writers rushed the storyline when Frisco came back and that’s why she choose Mac. GH always led from one storyline to another and I miss the good old days with F&F, R&H and Sean and Tiffany and Tony. The relationship that Tony and Frisco had were like they could be real brothers and the friendship that Tony and Felicia had was awesome!!! Robert should have been part of the anniversary not in a coma. Thank God for youtube so when I am having an off day I can watch my show and feel better. But, I totally agree with this above statement, thanks

I will be 50 this year also-so my memories of GH go back to my first real memories of anything at all.
By far, my favorite storylines contain the unforgettably iconic Frisco & Felicia.
I am addicted to the Asian Quarter storyline and it is where I go to on Youtube when I need a good dose of nostalgia to lift my day. That particular storyline forever united F&F and introduced us to Anna Devane and Robin Scorpio.
From an acting standpoint-the Maxie/BJ heart transplant storyline gave us some of the most memorable performances in GH history by Kristina Wagner, Brad Maule, Jack Wagner, Jackie Zeman and Lynn Herring.

What is the name of Laura’s sister who was a nurse at GH? Can’t rememeber her name. Her sister isn’t mentioned in the People Magazine for GH 50th Anniversay or
even a picture oh her.

Amy, She really died a few years ago from Kidney failure, sad it would be so nice to see her again, Her name was shell Kepler, she was 49 when she died.

Lauras stepsister was Amy Vining. Her potrayer was the late Shell Kepler who sadly passed away several years ago.

Her sisters name was Amy Vining the actress passed away a few years back. I think the actress’s name was Shell Kepler but that may not be right.

My favorite storyline is the growing romance and adventures of Frisco and Felicia. I hope the writers will make them get back together. Frisco & Felicia are meant to be together forever. Felicia with Mac is boring.

General Hospital

Adam Huss Makes Another Return to General Hospital as Nikolas Cassadine

Nikolas Cassadine will be back on your screens next week but now via Pentonville. That means, that actor Adam Huss is back for a visit for all-new episodes of General Hospital.

In story, Ava (Maura West) comes to visit her ex in the slammer. So, just what does Ava want now? She clearly has been working an agenda on Sonny (Maurice Benard). Is she working with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart)? What will she tell Nikiolas? stay tuned.

Meanwhile, once news of Huss’ return broke earlier on Friday via Soap Opera Digest, he also announced his return on his Instagram expressing, “For all those who’ve been asking, cat’s out of the bag;) Thank you to all my #Nikolas #GH fans for your unwavering support. I don’t take it for granted for a second! (Even when I can’t answer 😊) #generalhospital”

Photo: ABC

Huss took over the role of Nikolas back in January of 2023, after Marcus Coloma left the soap opera. Previous to that, Huss filed in for Coloma in September of 2021 and November of 2022. Fast-forward to January of 2024, Nikolas gave Ace to Laura and Kevin to raise, while he eventually turned himself into the police for kidnapping Esme and keeping her hostage while she was pregnant and Wyndemere.

Photo: ABC

The return of Huss comes on the heels of multiple reports that his on-screen son, Nicholas Chavez is not returning to the show as Spencer Cassadine, while in story Spencer is believed to have drowned int the Seine River after falling off a boat in France, when drugged by Esme.

So, looking forward to seeing Adam Huss back as Nikolas? Do you think GH will eventually have him more full-time? Comment below.

General Hospital

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sonny and Jason Trade Threats on Each Other

The love affair that once was mobster Sonny (Maurice Benard) and hit man Jason (Steve Burton), and having each others back, is now apparently over! On the Thursday April 25th episode of General Hospital, an increasingly paranoid Sonny is confronted by Jason.

Jason wants to talk to Sonny about a “family matter”, but Sonny says they aren’t family now because he’s working with the Feds. Sonny goes on to say how he cannot trust Carly (Laura Wright) or Jason and he knows about Jason buying back the Metro Court for Carly from Nina (Cynthia Watros).

When the conversation turns to Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Dex (Evan Hofer), Jason informs Sonny that Kristina (Kate Mansi) knows Sonny ordered a hit. Jason is worried about Dex’s safety. He tells Sonny that if he does something to Dex, Kristina will figure out that he is responsible.

Courtesy/ABC

Sonny goes on to say how much he loves his kids and how he will protect them. He then tears into Jason for abandoning his sons, Danny and Jake, for two years and how he has no right to stand there to tell him what to do.

Jason warns Sonny again to leave Dex alone or he’ll personally stop him. Sonny snaps at Jason, countering, “You’ll die trying!” And at that point, Jason walks out and Sonny slams the door behind him.

What do you think about this split in the longstanding relationship of Jason and Sonny? Do you like Jason and Sonny at odds? Will Kristina be the person to ultimately figure out what is happening to Sonny, or it might it be Nina, who knows Ava (Maura West) is up to no good? Share your thoughts in the comment section, but first watch this clip from part of the Sonny/Jason scenes below.

Breaking News

REPORT: Nicholas Chavez Not Returning to General Hospital

For those who were holding out hope that Daytime Emmy winner and fan favorite, Nicholas Chavez would be returning to General Hospital after filming his leading role in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters anthology, it looks like those hopes have been dashed.

According to a report from TV Line, although unconfirmed from General Hospital or a representative for Chavez, the actor will not reprise his role as Spencer Cassadine on the long-running ABC soap opera and continue the love story of Sprina opposite Tabyana Ali (Trina, GH).

Chavez was cast as Lyle Menendez over the the summer of 2023 for the second season of Murphy’s limited Monsters series on Netflix. In the upcoming season, the series will focus on the the case of Lyle and Erik Menendez, the two well-to-do Beverly Hills brothers accused of murdering their parents in 1989.

Photo: ABC

After word from Chavez casting was revealed, GH fans were concerned over the fate of the Sprina story, a spokesperson for GH shared,  “We support Nicholas’ endeavors and look forward to having him return to General Hospital once this project is wrapped.”

In story, the series “killed off” Spencer when he went overboard with Esme to the steely waters below after being injected with a drug, thanks to Esme and falling into the Seine River in France. However, his body was never recovered, and believed to have drowned or washed away. Thus, leaving an opening for Spencer to return in the form of Chavez or be recast down the line.

Photo: ABC

TV Line shared that ‘multiple sources’ are confirming that Chavez is not returning to the ABC soap opera, which is what many had suspected might be the case once he left for this major starring role in a Ryan Murphy project. Chavez has been relatively quiet on social media for months.

Photo: ABC

The Michael Fairman Channel spoke with Nicholas Chavez for a virtual interview when he first joined the show in 2021, and spoke to him right after when he won the Daytime Emmy in 2022 – you can see those below.

No word yet on when Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story will debut on Netflix, but it is assumed later this year.

So, what do you think about the news of Nicholas Chavez not returning to his role as Spencer Cassadine on General Hospital? Comment below.
