It’s soooo great to see Erika at work again boy has she and the oltl cast been missed !!!!

Definetely!

BEAUTIFUL!

Viki is in the building! All is right with the world again.

I so agree, Jeannie! It’s wonderful to see her… and that she has been shown how much her fans appreciate her work.

Love it! Can’t wait till we get to watch it again!

This picture makes me so happy, I can’t wait to see Vicki and the rest of the wonderful characters I have grown to love back in my world again, They have been missed So much I cant find the words to say how I feel about their return.

DITTO!!!!!!! I have my labtop ready for viewing OLTL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me To, I can’t wait for the big day to see my 2nd family back in my life where they belong.

I was so hoping she and Luke from my GH would have had a run-in at the Hospital or docks or something to ‘nod’ to that ‘What If’ ABC elevator spot they did with those two..

What a great way for Erika to start the day, with a beautiful reminder from fans that she and the show have been missed. Very excited for the show to start airing again.

Iconic!

I’m so happy to see this. She will be the main reason I will give this new version of OLTL a chance. I’ll be watching OLTL but I’m going to pass on AMC.

Why wouldn’t you give this ‘version’ a chance? Is the show so diffferent, instead of sitting in front of a TV screen.. you are sitting in front of a monitor, I’m missing the drastic difference?

TVs and monitors are being built virtually the same way, as some TVs double as computer monitors now. TVs are becoming more sophisticated than the monitors, as we’ve seen internet-ready TVs or smart TVs.

This might come as a shock to many, but in 5 years or less.. internet TV will be the norm.. and then we can all go back to watching OLTL on the couch. We’ve already got Netflix producing internet-only content for their paid service, What Prospect Park is doing with the soaps on TOLN is going to be the blueprint for FREE internet-produced content.

My prediction is the next step will be TV remotes are going to look like ipads w/ internet TV taking over. iPads can actually be used as TV remotes now, so the TV makers are going to have to figure out how to create cheaper/dedicated versions to sell along w/ their TV sets.

I’m not talking about whether it’s on regular TV or the internet. I watch a couple of web series. We dont know if the show is going to a little different or way different. I’ll give it a try, maybe I’ll like it maybe I won’t. It’s the content, not the venue that I’m cautiously optimistic about.

I think it is great and no one deserves it more. Erika has always been the beacon of Life and Light for OLTL. Congratulations to all of the returning cast members. I also hope that many of the original crew members can also rejoin the OLTL family.

nPurdee

Me too. Miss those Gannon brothers! 😉

Wish I could have been present for this touching moment, but I’m there in spirit. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Nathan! We haven’t met, ….yet, but we now know we must try for Hank & RJ since Timothyalready told us he wants in, via Facebook.

Timothy is a totally amazing actor and human being! Absolutely would be criminal to leave him out of the Llanview saga!

Worth repeating: Viki isnt the only one to have died and gone to heavan…us fans have gone there too.

That was very nice I hope it works out for them!

Welcome back!! She looks beautiful and is a class act. I can’t wait for new episodes of OLTL

Nice and well deserved!

Ms. Slezak looks GREAT!!!!!!!! So happy to see her. She looks very happy to be going
back to work! Can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!!!! To hear her first words! Viki & Clint getting married again!

Yes, We have another month and Llanview will be back, Didn’t our Vicki look good? It will be so nice to see her and her beautiful smiling face again, She is my favorite soap star and she always will be, I have missed her so much, Welcome back Ericka Slezak.

Couldn’t have said it better, Barbara T. This pic brought tears to my eyes. When I think of all the dark days starting when we heard we were losing our show, then the countdown to the end & finally the end & every lousy day without it since . . . Oh, what joy. Miracles CAN happen & dreams CAN come true!

Erika Slezak (Viki) is my #1 favorite soap star on OLTL!!!!!! She is and alway’s
will be a beautiful woman! Her hold face shines like glitter when she smiles!!!!!!
We the soap fans did it ! We all got OLTL back! We care a lot about this extra
special soap opera (ONE LIFE TO LIVE)!!!!!!!

Love it! Long live OLTL.

TRIPLE DITTO!!!!!

If I could have been there I would have given her flowers, candy, champagne, gold. She and all of her wonderful cast mates have been missed soooooooooooooooo very much.

How exciting!! So happy for her. Vicky was brought several times on General Hospital. She is a great actress!!

When was Vicky brought on GH several times ??????

I’d like to know that too Susan M LOL

She may have meant “brought UP”, because Erika Slezak has never appeared on any other show besides OLTL.

LOVE IT!!! Beyond thrilled that Erika and friends are returning!!! April 29th can not come fast enough for me!!!!

Beautiful. There is no finer an actress more deserving of such an expression of fan admiration.

I can’t wait to see this absolute class act back in action!

You said it all!!!!! A true class act!!!!!

What a wonderful moment! I’m sure it meant a lot to her to receive those. Where can we get the address to start writing our fan mail? It would be nice to keep our appreciation going. Thanks for sharing the pic Michael!

You can send cards and letters to the cast at:

or

I believe you can write them here: One Life to Live c/o Prospect Park 300 Stillwater Avenue, Prospect Park Studios, Stamford CT 06902.

Thanks very much for the info! Now let’s get those cards and letters going!

Erika is such a class act!

She sure is!!!!!

So looking forward to the show.

Me too!

I’m so happy for Erika and the rest of the cast…..and for all of us fans. I was hoping that after the OLTL cancellation, Erika would get a film role or tv role that would should show a broader spectrum of the population her immense talents……but I am happy to her back on the show as Viki. I grew up watching OLTL with my sister and always called it “The VIki Show”. I hope PP utilizes her front and center.

There is no finer actress, will be great to have Viki and OLTL back.

YEP!!!!!!!!!!1

I’m wondering how everyone felt about going to Connecticut to film of all places. I guess it didn’t hurt the cast list from growing. I wonder if they will do outside location shoots for All My Children and One Life To Live? All My Children did like shooting in a “park”?

Jerry said when they asked him ‘do you know how to get to Stamford?’ he said “I told them I’ve got GPS and Google maps!” Then he laughed.

Very lovely of the folks who organized this. So happy someone thought to do this for our beloved cast of actors, especially Ms. Slezak. Hope it was a wonderful day for all! Can’t wait to see the results!

Thanks, Rodd. It was a unique pleasure planning this and a surreal result indeed! We had an AMAZING time!!

I can’t wait to see how both All My Children and One Life To Live look on Hulu. I hope it is on video and not filmed like prime-time soaps. Although I do realize video is more expensive. Remember when situation comedies use to be shot on video like soap operas? The best comedy tv shows came from being shot on video (All In the Family, Maude, The Jeffersons, Three’s Company, Too Close For Comfort).

I am mostly looking forward in seeing OLTL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 20 or more years for OLTL! “CAUSE
WE HAVE ONLY ONE LIFE TO LIVE!”

Long live the Queen! She looks great!

How appropriate – love it!

The pic doesn’t even begin to describe how emotional this was. Tina Gray wrote a letter with the first batch that Erica read to the cast, back in 2011. The letter she wrote this time is even more awesome! It was an emotional day for us all…

Glad to see OLTL getting some press in SOD and SID it all about AMC returning and GH the fav’s

Actually: I Facebook-shared the pic, I didn’t Tweet it… it was a VERY hectic moment!!

Thanks for the credit!! I feel like Peter Parker!! 🙂

Twenty-two red roses, twenty-two white roses, surrounding one blue rose. A blue rose signifying the unattainable, the impossible. The red and white roses signifying unity. And there was a letter that went along with the roses!

POST THE LETTER!! IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!

Huh? How do you know?? LOL!

She is the epitome of class.

March 18th was a banner day. Surreal and sublime. Freezing cold but our hearts and souls were warmed, melted, rebirthed by the appreciation, love and sincere kindness shown to us by the cast of ONE LIFE TO LIVE as they fed us and thanked us for our efforts in helping to save their program. In turn, ALL FANS can be proud of what has transpired. You all helped and contributed with your support and unfailing determination to see Llanview and Pine Valley live on!

“Daytime television invites viewers into the private lives of characters, often bringing important issues like cancer screenings into living rooms and around water coolers. Soaps debuted the first cancer storyline in 1962 – years before the topic was discussed in the mainstream, and it left an indelible impact: a whole generation of women who scheduled a potentially life-saving Pap smear for the first time,” said Daytime Stands Up host Alan Locher. “For so many viewers, this brought the issue front and center,” added co-host Michael Fairman. “Today, it’s become almost impossible to avoid; but there is hope with cancer research, thanks to organizations like Stand Up To Cancer.”

SU2C Co-Founder Sue Schwartz, SU2C President and CEO Julian Adams, Ph.D., and SU2C Health Equity Committee Member Elizabeth Jaffee, M.D., will also participate to speak to the importance of early detection, exciting scientific breakthroughs, and the ongoing work yet to be done to make screenings and treatment equitable for all.

“This year, an estimated 2 million people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer, presenting an opportunity for the public to stand with us and rise to the occasion,” said Adams. “We’re thankful to Alan Locher, Michael Fairman and our friends from the daytime television community, who will raise critical funding to honor those we’ve lost – and to propel new scientific breakthroughs for current and future patients. Everyone has a story, and we’re grateful to all of you for sharing yours.”

For over 15 years, SU2C has leveraged its relationship with the entertainment community – which includes more than 1,100 celebrity ambassadors – to generate public donations, increase awareness and fund cutting-edge cancer research. SU2C research has contributed to the development of more than 10 scientific breakthroughs that have significantly impacted the field and provided new treatment options for breast, colorectal, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, pediatric and prostate cancers.

Lane Davies Joins the Cast of General Hospital Setting up a ‘Santa Barbara’ Reunion with Nancy Lee Grahn

Some very intriguing casting news out of General Hospital. The ABC daytime drama has cast former Santa Barbara favorite, Lane Davies (ex-Mason Capwell), in the role of Fergus Byrne, an attorney who crosses paths with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

According to TV Insider, Davies will make debut the week of May 22nd.  As soap fans know, together with the aforementioned Grahn, they created the Santa Barbara supercouple of Mason and Julia Wainwright. Davies portrayed Mason Capwell family from 1984 through 1989.

Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time in Port Charles for Lane. From 2002-2004 he played Dr. Cameron Lewis and also shared on-screen story with Grahn.  At that time Davies, played Xander Smith’s father.

Photo: NBC

GH fans are wondering about the last name of Davies new character, “Byrne”. If you recall, Alexis got herself involved with therapist Dr. Neil Byrne, who died when Harmony broke into Alexis‘ house and killed Neil by injecting him with opioids.

Photo:

Taking to her Instagram, Grahn shared her excitement at the upcoming on-screen reunion with Davies, “It never gets old. We do 😂…. but it doesn’t 😍. Lookin’ forward to another romp.”

So, what do you think about Lane Davies returning to GH to play an attorney in Alexis’ orbit? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
