OLTL Story Bombshells: Ron Raines Debuts & Revealed To Be Allison Perkins Brother! Jeffrey King's Heel Turn!

This week’s brand new episodes of One Life to Live on Hulu and iTunes are not-to-be-missed as they offer surprise revelations and more! (SPOILER ALERT: if you have not seen this week’s One Life yet, you may not want to read any further!)

In episodes posted yesterday on Soap Monday, # 52 and #53, viewers learn that Corbin Bleu’s character of Jeffrey King is not the good guy he pretends to be, (we first got wind of this when the mysterious tattoo emblem showed up on the bottom of his foot on last week’s episodes). This week, we come to learn  he has been sent to Llanview to help the “Organization” bring down Clint Buchanan (Jerry verDorn)!  In addition, we learn that Jeffrey was not suppose to let Victor Jr. (Trevor St. John)  slip out of town and disappear!

How do we know all this?  Thanks to the arrival of soap opera favorite, Ron Raines (the former Alan Spaulding of Guiding Light) in his new role as Carl Peterson, who is Jeffrey’s benefactor, but much more than that!  He seems to be part of a huge former CIA operative – remember Irene Manning, Victor and Todd’s mom, on ABC’s One Life? And it is Carl who is pulling the strings and has been having Jeffrey do his dirty work …  substituting Clint’s heart pills with another drug that mixed with alcohol will make him appear manic!

But here is how it ties together – or at least starts to! Carl reveals that his sister is Allison Perkins (Barbara Garrick) and why apparently she kidnapped Victor Jr. at the end of the cliffhanger finale of the ABC version of One Life.  Looks like Allison has some help now, and the “Organization” wants to capture both Todd and Victor Jr. and destroy Clint!

Watch a clip from this week’s One Life to Live below, which begins to reveal the sinister plot of Carl Peterson and Jeffrey King!  And make sure to watch this week’s episodes to see a fantastic star turn performance by Jerry verDorn (Clint)!

Let us know,  were you shocked that Jeffrey turned bad? What do you think of Ron Raines character being the brother of the wacky Allison Perkins?  Do you think the story makes sense to you of how it ties in the entire season of One Life to Live and what came before it at the end of it’s ABC run? Weigh-in!

This is brilliant!

Oh, I completely agree. OLTL is back and on fire. The show may have started slow, but it’s starting to come full circle. I think how the characters are being tied together in this story line is what makes so thrilling to watch. I am so happy to have OLTL back. I know everyone is nervous about all the changes PP has had to do. Remember…they are the ones who were responsible for keeping OLTL and AMC alive. This is the first time two cancelled soaps came back to life on the web. I am sure GL went through theses changes going from radio to tv. I think people believed tvs were fads back then and would slowly die out. But it didn’t. They stopped production in June b/c of a labor dispute. Luckily, it was resolved. So the writers have had half of june, july , and aug to regroup, develop stories for the second season, think things through. Maybe they knew all along it would be a season format, but were resistent to say anything because old fans wouldn’t tune in thinking it wouldnt last and new fans wouldnt be interested. Who knows. Give them the benefit of the doubt. Give them a chance. I for one like many others are enjoying how brillant OLTL is coming to an exciting climax. I will be there to watch Season 2 b/c they will be back. Kudos OLTL!!!!!

I was completely shocked. I love this show and will miss it dearly until it returns.

It was a WTF moment I am loving every min of it when did clint try to take down the Organization Maybe Irean m is not dead I think their was more to Irean and viki story they didn’t have time on ABC to do. I hope carl knows what he is getting to by becoming involved with dorian and or viki

Brilliant!! I am sooo gonna enjoy the season finale and what’s to come! Love this storyline!

I haven’t watched OLTL to live in a while but a fellow fan said it was good this week so I will watch. Ron Raines is a soap legend and OLTL is lucky to have him. However, this “organization” storyline falls flat without Trevor St. John. His character is the reason the “organization” came to Llanview in the first place, how can the show explore that without him and for how long? Hope the writing improves and the writers focus on more character driven storylines like AMC.

I can’t comment on OLTL.

or AMC.

but… Ron Raines on Guiding Light…. va va voom sexy! I loved him with Alexandra… and Beth Spaulding.

now… I wish…. Brian Kerwin, ex-charlie… was on OLTL…. what little i’ve seen of him on OLTL… he was so good … and sexy…. with Vicki….

imagine… these two MEN dalliance… dance… partake with, Vicki and Dorian.

HOT

It’s great to see Ron Raines again and I’m loving the shocking twist of Jeffery being a part of the ‘organization’. I do hope PP can arrange to get Roger Howarth and Trevor St. John back for some more filming in the near future since it seems Todd and Victor are integral to this storyline. Plus, I just miss them both. 🙂

OLTL has really gotten into a good groove lately. The only storyline I don’t care much for is Jack and his teacher. I hope that comes to an end soon.

One Life To Live is back!!! This is the first week I have heavily enjoyed episodes in months. “The Tale of Two Todds” is back in full effect. I hope Victor and Todd come back either for the finale of season one or the opening of season two. OLTL 4Ever!

So excited! Can’t wait for more!!!

THIS SOUNDS BRILLIANT, I STILL HAVENT WATCHED ,I AM WAITING FOR ITUNES TO FIX THE PROBLEM OF WHY 2 DIDNÈT DOWNLOAD AND THE ONE THAT DID I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO VIEW,

I CAN HARDLY WAIT

I Love, Love Ron Raines! Yes!
I really liked Jeffery and it sucks if he isn’t that sweet nice guy at all.
I was hoping he would fall for Destiny.

oltl is on fire and i am loving it!!!!

i think that jeffrey has really become fond of viki & maybe he will have a change of heart when everything plays out…………

WOW!

I havent been watching since early July but this sounds interesting…i might tune in.

Looking at Ron’s photo, I thought, I think he used to be on Guiding Light! Yup; that was Alan Spaulding! I miss Guiding Light. I didn’t watch it every day; but, I used to watch it if home, and I enjoyed it, before the budget cuts. I was just saying to someone in the lunch room, yesterday, that I miss “lunch time” daytime tv. I still watch Days and General Hospital.

Loving OLTL and AMC. The CBS soaps are so bad right now but these, DAYS and GH are keeping me interested.

Jerry ver Dorn is the greatest, loving him getting something meaty to tear into.

Blew my mind yesterday. It was nothing I ever expected from Jeffery. If Irene Manning is still alive it would put me into a tail spin. I know in the end the Buchanan’s will win. Great show. So happy to be able to watch it.

Excellent !!!

Let hope for a short break between “season 1” and “season 2″… or better yet, no break at all !!!

That means that Carl Peterson is the Uncle of Tina!

Bring back Tina (Viki’s sister too). Love all this intrique and tumult.
I wonder if Carl has Victor Lord Sr captured too, and it turns out that he or his father planted the incest memory in his mind, maybe he really was a good guy.

WOW season two is sure to be a great time. Cant wait for it to start!

Ok… i have watched OLTL since 1978. How does this make Carl Peterson Tina’s uncle ? Tina’s mother is Irene and her father is Victor Lord.

The above article does not connect Irene to Carl other than they both were CIA agents.

OK – sorry I had a brain freeze.

I temporarily got Irene and Alison confused.
( I know they are not the same person – but could they have been sisters?)

Anyway – you are correct. I just got excited about this new turn-of-events.

OMG! I was like WHAT DID HE SAY?!?! and I had to rewind it to hear it again. His sister Allison! WOW. Love it!

Not happy with Jeffrey being a bad guy – but he isn’t all bad, because he looked upset about Matthew.

Jerry is doing a fantastic job as a drunk (and drugged) heartbroken Clint. Can’t wait to see what happens……

This is really good. I love this storyline. It does explain the cliffhanger on ABC and can’t wait to see the season finale next week. He’s going to shake things up in Llanview, can’t wait to see him pair up with Viki or Dorian and go against Clint. This is exciting, hope we don’t have to wait too long for Season 2. I’m also curious if we’ll see Allison Perkins in the finale, or Victor. Can’t wait, so glad I continued to watch this show online. The storylines are good and very entertaining.

I love love love the talent on OLTL but I really do not care for espionage and intelligence plot lines. They tend to begin strong, go over the top, and become so convolutedand well, I prefer more humanity-based stories dealing with families, social strata, economy, dreams achieved and lost… I miss romance. There does not seem to be enough.

I think the producers are taking the right path.
Romances take time to develop and sometimes get too melodramatic.

Beside – the classic romance of Blair and Todd are still apart of this storyline.

But gotta get the younger audience – and this storyline will impact all of the characters.

This is fantastic. I knew the circular tattoo had to have something to do with the organization Irene headed. I am just thrilled and on the edge of my seat as usual. Can’t wait to see what comes next. Is that nut job Allison going to show up again?

The scenes between Viki and Clint in Llanfair and in his office were terrific.

Alan Spaulding lives!!!!

Bring back Kim Zimmer!

Love it! But with all this CIA stuff, someone needs to be there to help Bo figure it all out and save the day…………………….enter John McBain!! I also hope Jeffrey does not turn out to be the bad guy, maybe a double agent, I really liked him until we found he had the emblem on his heal!

GH is so much better when focusing on the older much loved actors or new actors from other soaps ie: Maura West, Micharl Eason and Roger H. They are proven in their skills acting . It was genius utilizing Kathleen Gati singing…

When are One Life and All my kids ending and do they have a start up for next series of shows?

Love that the show is staying somewhat connected to what happened on ABC. If we can’t have more former cast members back this is the next best thing. Love this storyline so far and cannot wait for the finale next week.

I hope the surprise visit by a fan favorite that Michael mentioned last week is someone who hasn’t been on the show yet. Very curious to see who it is.

The show was terrific again this week. JVD’s acting was spot on. I feel so bad for Clint. The Clint and Viki scenes were really good especially the one in Clint’s office where Viki took the alcohol from him. The Jeffrey reveal was a great twist. In my opinion, the show is doing fine without Starr and John. There are so many other talented actors who are not overrated.

The show is on fire! Alison Perkins? Jeffrey on the dark side?

Who Knew!??!

Can’t wait for more.

The OLTL and AMC reboots are the BEST.

Definitely more into OLTL in these last few weeks than its not-so-great online preview. For me though…even though I’m getting into it more and more and look forward to seeing it…there’s still something that’s off. The characters don’t relate to each other the way they used to…Vicki doesn’t come off the same…in the ABC show she was oozing warmth and maternal and “hominess”…this Vicki is much harder/colder. Don’t like her as much in this version.

Feel like even though a lot of the originals aren’t back they should be mentioned; no mention still of Jessica…Natalie told Vicki she was dating “some guy Cutter” (Vicki would know who he is), I’d like to see some familiar places like Angel Square and the diner…it just seems like a truncated version.

And it doesn’t seem like the writers are really doing their homework as far as continuity. In the latest episode Carl Peterson says, “This time Aliison’s got Victor.” Well…she had him originally…as we saw at the end of the ABC version.

As said, even with my “gripes” I’m very glad to have the show back, I’m looking forward to it’s second “season”…but I do hope that the characters become more like their “old selves” and that some of the old places are gradually reintroduced. And Vicki…lighten up!

Really?
Vicki has alot on her plate. Don’t you think… She is showing remarkable restraint considering her situation …… with Clint and the Banner and Todd and Victor and 3 of her 4 children are out of town.

She seems more human to me (love anything that Erika does).

Hey maybe we will see a re-occurance of an alter (Niki, Jean….) who has a connection to the tattoo organization – and it turns out she is the one in charge!

Keep OLTL alive. Hopefully Season two will increase to four episodes per week.

Vicky’s always had a lot on her plate! Half her children were always gone, she had multiple personalities, divorce, breast cancer, daddy issues, her daughter’s multiple personalities, her brother’s death, her brother’s return, her children’s divorces…shalll I go on? LOL. Yet, she “oozed” warmth, a maternal instinct and love. She was the go-to person. She was the “heart” of the show. Don’t feel that way about her now; especially with the lack of emotion when Victor returned and her hard-nosed reaction to Clint’s help, etc.

We never had an hour of OLTL on ABC…when you factor in the commercials the shows were only about 38 minutes long.

I don’t think the characters aren’t totally themselves because of time restraint…I think it’s the writers. There’s no interaction with any of the vets…Barely any between Vicky and Nora…Natalie doesn’t have any of her peers left on the show, Tea and Blair have ony had a few scenes and whereas they became close as sisters on ABC they spend most of their time arguing now. Blair hasn’t mentioned Star…no one but Tea/Dani/Jack seems to care if Victor’s alive or dead….there’s still just too much disconnectedness between the characters.

Yes, I like that the story’s heating up and getting a tad more interesting but I still miss the family dynamics, the friendships, the “town” feel…

Of course when there’s so little cast from the original it’s difficult to capture it…kbut for me it just feels like a shell of what it was.

I agree with some of what you said but it is difficult to “ooze” warmth and get to the grip of the story when you only have an hour a week to do it. When it was on ABC we had an hour a day for the characters to act natural. I love OLTL and I’m not going to complain about the length of the episodes because I just want it to continue but I am saying it is hard to give every character their due time to emote life feelings in such a short time frame. Hopefully as it goes along, the characters and their former selves will be let loose.
I think PP and writers were afraid if they didn’t move at this rapid pace they would lose a lot of viewers because the story didn’t move along. Maybe now that it is more established and more and more viewers (I saw one who hadn’t watched since like 1978) come online or to OWN all that will smooth out and the characters will get the chance to be themselves and the storylines won’t seem so clipped.
I’m sure they need young characters to bring in the younger viewers but they only have so much story they can tell because they don’t have a history. The original characters do have that history and there are so many more storylines to explore. I look forward to them bring more characters back to Llanview like Cord, Tina, Alex Olinoff (sorry for spelling), Max, Rene (who’s running the Palace), Roxie, and other recognizable characters that make the town of Llanview a hometown. But…in an hour a week it is difficult to do that.
In answer to the Jeffery being from the dark side, I sure hope he is doing a double life because I like him and Destiny together and he has such redeeming qualities. He and Vicki get along so well and I think he genuinely likes her.
No matter…I will watch OLTL. I’m loving it.

I have one question to this storyline…wasn’t Margaret Cochran or Allison Perkins who is the mother of Sam Manning?

Margaret was the mother of Sam. My memory is that she drowned in a lake at the hands of Todd/Victor (TSJ). Todd/Victor was going to be executed for her death. I forget why he was freed. Could it be that Margaret is alive also?

she didn’t drown. She was an expert swimmer. She was in cahoots with Spencer Truman, to take down Todd (trevor) so he could have Blair. Margaret was discovered alive in Thailand, by David Vickers… while at the very same time Todd was convicted of her murder. Todd went to death row and was in the death chamber and just had been killed when John McBain broke into the room, with Margaret Cochran on his arm. Ironically, Spencer was there to “support” Blair while Todd was being put to death, and had to resuscitate Todd. Their baby (Todd & Margaret’s) was put up for adoption (a shady adoption) and Michael & Marcie adopted the baby. Eventually the baby was found and brought home for Blair and Todd to care for…. but as you’ve seen, Blair is his “mom” now. And his dad is actually Victor. The real Todd is his uncle.
Margaret couldn’t remember everything, and died in a van wreck before she could reveal all that Spencer had been up to.

Seems like they discovered she wasn’t dead just in the nick of time.

was sorta surprised about Jefferey’s involvement with the odd tat club, but not surprised that his “sponsor” is a bad guy. I had figured he would be, but thought maybe Jefferey didn’t know it. Disappointed that he does.

and what a twist that the crazy guy is related to the crazy Allison!

but my question that remains to be answered is WHY? Why are they after Todd & Victor? You know if must be something to do with Irene and possibly Victor Sr. Todd & Victor have enough problems, they don’t need this constantly keeping them in trouble, without any clear idea why and how to get rid of the people involved.

and now Clint too? what do these people want? seems the women will be left unattended…. do they want Vicki? she’s broke. Do they want the newspaper for their own evil deeds? Easier ways to get that. Dorian’s out of a job. Blair… they want that club? (they can take it! ha!)

and where is Jessica and why doesn’t anyone talk about her?

I think those are all good questions. From Viki’s speech, we just need to “tune in tomorrow” to find out. Or in this case next season. LOL

General Hospital

Tristan Riggs is General Hospital’s New Aiden

Looks like there is another new actor in the younger set on General Hospital. Tristan Riggs is taking over the role of Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) son, Aiden.

Previously, Enzo De Angelis played the part of Liz and Lucky’s (formerly Jonathan Jackson) son since 2021. Soap Opera Digest confirmed that Riggs is now firmly in the part.

The switch happened on today’s Thursday May 2nd episode in scenes. Recently, Aiden came out as gay to him mom after admitting his interest in one of his classmates.

Photo: ABC

As Riggs begins in the part, it looks like Aiden is being bullied at school. Elizabeth is trying to get to the bottom of things and made an appointment with school counselors to find out what’s going on, after seeing his book bag had pink paint on it.

Riggs has been acting since he was 7-year-0ld and has appeared on the TV series Walker, True Lies and Best Foot Forward to name a few.

So, what do you think of Tristan Riggs as the new Aiden? Do you hope Aiden’s story becomes more front and center? Comment below.

(WATCH) B&B’s Katherine Kelly Lang and Annika Noelle Talk Lead Actress Emmy Nominations and Brooke and Hope’s Mother/Daughter Relationship

Two of The Bold and the Beautiful’s leading ladies, Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) and Annika Noelle (Hope), are in the running for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Daytime Drama Series at the upcoming 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

Original series star Lang, along with Noelle, play mother and daughter on the series, which makes for an interesting dynamic on-screen and off. For Katherine, this marks her fourth Daytime Emmy Acting nomination. She previously won a producer Emmy for Venice the Series, and for Annika, this is her first Lead Actress nomination after previously scoring a nod in the Supporting Actress category.

On B&B, Brooke and Hope have had a rocky road this past year, with Brooke disapproving of Hope giving into her feelings and desires for Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), and the dissolution of her marriage to Liam (Scott Clifton). Meanwhile, Hope watched Brooke have marital troubles with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), in part to Taylor (Krista Allen), only for her to win him back.

Photo: HutchinsPhoto

The two actresses chatted with Michael Fairman for an exclusive livestream interview this week on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel where they shared their thoughts, reactions and scenes from their nominated reels, how they see the current climate between Brooke and Hope, and much more. Below are some excerpts from the conversation.

Katherine, what are your thoughts on getting a Lead Actress nomination as this point in your career?

KATHERINE: I think it’s great. I was so happy to be nominated. It was unexpected, but I was really happy about it.  Of course, I think everybody wants to be nominated, or get an Emmy at some point in their life, especially if they’ve been on a show for a very long time and you put a lot of work in. You do many, many scenes and hopefully, good enough scenes to be able to be nominated, and get in into the running. But yes, it’s hard to me. It’s hard every time when it comes around. I get anxiety whenever Emmy-time comes around.

Photo: JPI

What scenes were on both of your nominated reels?

KATHERINE: I just submitted the two back to back shows that I had between Brooke and Taylor (Krista Allen). It was when their relationship came to an end because they became friends, which was really nice. They swore off Ridge, which was great, and they had a nice relationship for a little while. But then, Brooke finally realized Taylor still had her sights on Ridge and this wasn’t going to work. So, she ended the relationship with Taylor. At that point, she really had it with Taylor, because she really trusted her and she really liked their friendship. She was shocked to find out what Taylor was still doing and how she still wanted Ridge in the end. And so for Brooke, there was no going back after that.

Photo: JPI

ANNIKA: My reel launched into Hope’s denial of “I’m nothing like you, mom. I have a solid marriage.” Cut to Liam confronting her about what happened in Rome and the choices that were made there. And then Brooke walking in on her and Thomas together and mother/daughter going toe to toe, and then finally kind of wrapping it up with Hope just coming into her own and just not being so swayed by other people’s choices.

Is it difficult for you to chose to enter into the Daytime Emmy race?

KATHERINE: I don’t want to do a competition, because we do this for a living, because we love it. I think if you don’t love it, you won’t be here for very long. So, it just feels weird in a way that it has to be a judging where everybody’s judged against each other.  I don’t like that feeling because I like it all to be about family, which it is. Sometimes in a competition it can get kind of of strange. So to me, the prize is just coming to work every single day, getting to work with wonderful people like Annika, everybody in the office, the producers, the writers, the directors, the crew, and just working with everybody. It’s wonderful how we all work so well together and just being able to do something that I love to do every single day and play this character of Brooke on a TV show on CBS.

ANNIKA: I would have never thought in a million years you would get anxious from it. For me, it’s very obvious that I get very anxious.

Photo: JPI

Katherine, what do you recall about Annika when you first met her and then shared scenes with her, after having Kim Matula as her predecessor in the part?

KATHERINE: Honestly, it was super easy to work with Annika. She just fell right into the character. I loved her immediately and her energy. Actually, I got to read with her. I loved her, even then in the reading. I was kind of mesmerized with her, like her eyes. She’s very innocent, open face, and you can feel her. I loved Kim Matula, too, who played Hope before Annika, and there was a little time between them. It was nice that they didn’t recast somebody right away, because that’s always kind of shocking. You want to give it a little time, and for the audience to accept it and to find somebody new and bring them on. People come and go andyou have to kind of go with the flow.

Annika, what was your first impression upon meeting Katherine?

ANNIKA: Oh, I understood that this was the legend who had been on the show since the beginning. I think you were my second callback. I think the first one I read with Scott Clifton (Liam). When they called me back again and they had me read with you, I remember I just opened the doors and she was just  standing there. I was like, “Oh, Gosh. Okay. I’m reading with Katherine Kelly Lang.” She was very professional, knew her lines like back and forth, and she was saying the lines as if she was really the character. It wasn’t even like acting. That’s how good she is.

Photo: JPI

Where do you think Brooke and Hope’s relationship is at now?

ANNIKA: Brooke and Hope have maybe ironed out some misunderstandings. I think there’s still that little bit of Hope’s baggage or just unresolved trauma, or she needs to go see a psychiatrist about not wanting to become like her mother. I think she acted out in a lot of ways within the Thomas storyline.

KATHERINE: Brooke wasn’t happy with Hope and Thomas. She didn’t approve. Brooke’s a little bit more relieved and doesn’t have to deal with that pressure and can get back to the relationship with her daughter. I think they’re really good friends and I think they have a good understanding of each other and their positions within this relationship. I think it’s only going to get stronger and better, when they realize that they are two powerhouses together.

Photo: JPI

Remember when Brooke and Thomas had their psychedelic berry trip and we didn’t know if they slept together?

ANNIKA: I try not to think about it. (Laughs)

KATHERINE: Well, I loved it! I almost have to say that was my favorite fun story. In it, our plane crashed in the ocean and this was a huge production. They had made a pool inside a hangar, and then the pool was full with broken plane pieces, and we are sputtering up out of the water. It was dark and misty, they had the smoke, everything. It looked like a movie. So, we got to do that which was so much fun. When we were stranded on the island, we actually shot those scenes in Malibu. But, they also made a huge deserted island on set. It was humongous. It almost took up the whole stage, and that’s when Brooke and Thomas were high on berries, and the flowers would come out of the the cave. There were a lot of CGI effects. It was crazy and incredible. Adam Gregory was playing Thomas then, and we had a lot of fun. We never knew if Thomas and Brooke actually did it or not, but then it turned out they didn’t, because they realized it was like something in a dream.

ANNIKA: We like to keep things vague.

Photo: JPI

The show, at times, likes to pull out the classic line, “Slut from the Valley.” How do you feel about your character being called that when it was originated by Stephanie Forrester, who used to dig at Brooke?

KATHERINE: Do I mind, “Slut from the Valley?” I didn’t mind it when Stephanie (Susan Flannery) would say it, but I kind of mind it when other people say it.  I thought that was Stephanie’s line, and that should just come from her.

Photo: JPI

Annika, one of the hottest topics on B&B’s fans mind in our live chat, is when Thomas returns from Paris, will he and Hope rekindle their relationship or is it truly over?

ANNIKA: I’m just as in the dark as everyone else about what is to come with that. So, I’m kind of waiting on pins and needles to see if we revisit it, or if Thomas has moved on. I’m just so curious to see what is to come. I think we’re going to find out very soon.

Check out the full video interview with Katherine and Annika below. Now let us know, do you enjoy the mother/daughter scenes between Brooke and Hope as played by Katherine and Annika? Are you rooting for one of them to win the Daytime Emmy for Lead Actress? What do you think will happen in the future for Brooke and for Hope? Weigh-in below.

Juliet Donenfeld is the Temporary Recast as General Hospital’s Georgie
