Over the weekend, Twitter and social media went ablaze when none other than Charlotte Ross tweeted news about a meeting she had with the DAYS creative team, co-executive producer, Greg Meng and co-head writer, Chris Whitesell! Now that Jen Lilley is on the Salem canvas, would this be the appropriate time for Theresa’s half-sister, the once trouble-making Eve Donovan to return to the NBC soap?

Fans of the NBC soap witnessed last week the return of Shane Donovan and Kimberly played by Charles Shaughnessy and Patsy Pease! Could a Charlotte Ross return be a pivotal part of DAYS games plan in 2014?

I watched the show for ten years (1977 to 1987) back when it was good. Her story lines were just about to start when I stopped watching. The show was become Jerry Springer-like when I gave it up 26 years ago. She was very pretty, though.

The return of Eve…Theresa’s half sister…which can be the better bitch…maybe Eve can be a new love for Danial or we find out she was an old flame of E.J. and comes between him and Sami…ld like to see the return of some of Days old vets, especially now that Gabi killed Nick and most likely off to prison…
Did she or not leave town with Frankie…i forget at the moment…the actor who is to play Liam shouldve played Frankie because of the characters story connection to both Eve and Jen plus the Bradys.
I had seen in magazine someone was to be killed off the show so i assume its Nick, and since Gabis leaving i guess she’ll go to prison for it and Will and Sonny will gain custody of Arianna.

I would love for Charlotte Ross to return to Days Of Our Lives. For me, she was the original baddie before Sami, Kristen and Nicole went around in circles.
Charlotte Ross and Charles Shaughnessy worked well together and also were in the tv-movie, A Kiss So Deadly (1996). They had a love scene that Days wouldn’t dare even try.
if Charlotte Ross returns, she will make the serial so much more refreshing. Listening to Sami and EJ going round to round has gotten really old. I feel like they are just bringing out past scripts with EJ and Sami and re-doing it again and again.
It has been 22 years since we have seen “Eve Donovan”. She is now 45. Let’s see her stir things up in Salem again.

I was thinking about his last night and if they are bringing her back for a real story do you think perhaps Eve could be Jordan Ridgeway’s mother? They sort of look a like so it might be a possibility. Would the character today be old enough to have a daughter Jordan’s age? If so who would be her father? Any thoughts on this idea?
I’d say it’s a possibility. I’m thinking Frankie Brady, but Jack Devereoux would make a better story! Eve has a history with both!!! Happy viewing Mary SF!!!

If Charlotte Ross does come back to DOOL…great, whatever. Just one thing: THE POWERS THAT BE aka The Producers better look like keeping BOTH CR and Susan Seaforth Hayes FAR, FAR AWAY from each other. Supposedly, CR and SSH DO NOT get along with each other and have clashed/butted heads in the past. I’m just saying………..

It depends are we talking about a real storyline or just her dropping by for a couple of shows like Kim and Shane? I always hate when they say a character is coming back when they are only in for a few shows and then gone again. If she is coming back for a real story then great, if just a cameo for a few days then not so much.

Charlotte Ross is one of the most profoundly beautiful women I ever seen. As Eve, she just exuded that captivating mixture of femininity and willpower. I became devoted to her not only because she was a masterful actress but because her beauty served the character. She wasn’t just beatiful by virtue of her endowments, every acting choice, every wistful moment, every triumph shone out of her. She was angelic, like a Botticelli angel and yet worked because she was all too human. If Eve never had the love of Salem, she had the love of the viewers. She would be one of the most inspired returns this show could pull off. I truly believe that had she played the Julia Roberts role in Pretty Woman instead, she would be a major movie star today.
I would love for Eve to come back! I would hope it would pave the way for more returns by Shane and Kimberly as well. Patsy Pease was amazing while she was back!

wow hopefully charlotte will come back as eve donovan. she is a terrific actress. i really loved her character, she was conniving and a bitch. in the end of her run eve turned out more nicer and softer. also please bring back bo brady. if peter reckell doesnt want to come back to days, then recast the role. poor hope, she has no storyline right now.

So much story potential. She hated Jennifer. The prostitute story with Nick was so good. Don’t remember what happened to Nick, but I know Eve left with Frankie. Maybe she has some kind of Vendetta (lol) with Jennifer. Wasn’t she at one point involved with Jack?!
Charlotte is a good actress has done a lot of primetime since Days. Also still looks good, would be re-freshing to see her atcting on Days.. Maybe this could bring more story for Kim and Shane to become more regular recurring characters.

I’m just guessing , but if the negotiations do work out for her to return in a front burner storyline, with Days of Our Lives being four months ahead now on their filming until air date, and the time it takes for them to write episodes daily, we probably would not see “Eve” until close to summer 2014.
I am eager to hear of any further announcements of Miss Ross’ return.
With some luck, we can see CR as Eve during May sweeps! We should hear some news by January!

That would be cool if she came back to the show. I’ve been watching clips of her on the show in the early 1990s (from YouTube), and even though she was a conniving character, I couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. Eventually I began to like her because she tried to change. Although it’s unpopular and a little weird, I liked her with Frankie. I wish they could be a couple on the show together again. (I guess that’s because I’ve always been a Jennifer and Jack fan). Anyway, I hope she comes back because I might actually watch the clips she’s in on the show.

My goodness. I have forgotten that Eve Donovan is Shane’s and Gabrielle’s daughter. I think Kassie DePaiva will do well in the role as “Eve”, but I am disappointed Miss Ross is busy with Nashville (ABC) and was unable to return as “Eve”. Ross made a wise business decision.

Soaps debuted the first cancer storyline in 1962 – years before the topic was discussed in the mainstream, and it left an indelible impact: a whole generation of women who scheduled a potentially life-saving Pap smear for the first time,” said Daytime Stands Up host Alan Locher. “For so many viewers, this brought the issue front and center,” added co-host Michael Fairman. “Today, it’s become almost impossible to avoid; but there is hope with cancer research, thanks to organizations like Stand Up To Cancer.”

Deidre Hall to Guest Star on Season 3 of Comedy Series ‘Hacks’

Days of our Lives star Deidre Hall (Marlena) is set to play a version of herself on third season of Hacks. Look for Hall this month in an episode titled “The Deborah Vance Christmas Spectacular,” to air on May 23 on Max.
Not only will Hall appear in the episode, but so too, will Back to the Future and Taxi star, Christopher Lloyd.
According to EW.com, Deidre will play “a fictional version of herself, who just so happens to be the mom of Paul W. Downs’ Jimmy.”

Hacks co-creator and Downs’ wife, Lucia Aniello shared on Hall’s casting, “It made sense to us that Jimmy’s late father, a big-time manager, would have been married to an actress. When the idea for Deidre Hall came up, it just felt right.”
As for Lloyd, he will portray, reclusive writer Larry Arbuckle, who is to have had a rather famous grandfather. In the episode, Hall and Lloyd’s character intersect, which leads to onscreen sparks.

“We had written some things that were flirty, but the chemistry was palpable,” says co-creator and series star, Downs shared. Hacks stars Jean Smart as comedy legend Deborah Vance.

Peacock Raising Subscription Prices $2 Dollars a Month This Summer; Includes Days of our Lives

As the Paris Summer Olympics are a few months away, the Peacock streaming service has revealed its plan for a two dollar summer price hike on its subscription plans, beginning in July for its content which will include Days of our Lives.
According to Deadline, in July, look for the monthly price for Peacock Premium to increase to $7.99. Premium Plus, which offers limited advertising, download capability and live local programming, will now be $13.99, while Annual plans will go up to $79.99 for Premium and $139.99 for Premium Plus.
This price hike will effect new customers starting on July 18th, while existing subscribers will notice the price change on their next billing date on or before August 17th.

This marks the second price change in two years for the streaming service, the previous one being in 2023, which was the first since the service launched back in 2020. The Summer Olympics in Paris which will be on NBC and Peacock run from July 26 to August 11.
The bright spot for Days of our Lives fans, is that unlike if the show was still on network television and NBC, the show would be preempted for two weeks, but with it being on Peacock it will continue with all-new episodes without interruption.

At the recent Days of our Lives 15K episode celebration, Michael Sluchan the EVP, Current Scripted Programming & Limited Series for NBC/Peacock shared that the soap opera is doing extremely well for the streaming service, and they were very happy with its performance.
