This week, Eileen Davidson returned to work at Days of our Lives to reprise her role of Kristen DiMera! Of course, viewers will not see her on-screen till sometime this summer in the month of June! Yesterday, she tweeted,” First day back at #dool! fun but I’m exhausted.  I now need a nap!”

But also this week, Eileen got some terrific news regarding her performances of Kristen in 2013! She had made the pre-nomination field in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category along with 11 other ladies for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards competition.  Eileen’s stellar work in last year has had many fans and pundits alike saying, that this could be Eileen’s year to win the gold.

Upon learning the news that she is still in the running to make it to the final round of her category, Davidson told On-Air On-Soaps that she was, “Thrilled to be in the company of such amazing women! I was given great story last year and I’m so happy people agree!”

So, do you hope Eileen makes it into the final field for the Outstanding Lead Actress category?  Are you looking forward to her return as the devious Ms. DiMera?  Comment below!

So why is she back again hopefully it switches things up for her for a different story line

Kristen is too just much drama in Salem that other storylines get dragged or stalled for months just for her. I’m pretty sure Eric/Nicole storyline was thrown the silly plot point of the lie just for this.

I think Eric and Nicole are so boring. I like Nicole with Daniel. Love Kristen!

She’s a marvelous actor who always gives everything she’s got to her roles.

I miss her on Y&R – one of the reasons I stopped watching was her absence. It was great to see her on DOOL and it’s even better that she’s on her way back.

She should not only make it to the final field, but also take home the gold! Eileen Davidson is brilliant as Kristen!! I can’t wait for her return!!!

Me, too!!! I miss her on Days! Never a boring episode with Kristen on-air!

Just love her as Kristen, too. I really hope she wins the gold. She deserves it!

Eileen is an awesome actress, I just have NEVER like her character on Days, She does deserve congrats on her nomination. Kudos to you Eileen….Now go back to Y&R 😉 I really am just kidding. I would love to see her come back as Susan, who has kidnapped Kristen baby this time, followed by a completely distraught Kristen. Eileen is at her best when she plays Susan and the added bonus is that Susan could give her son Elvis a really bad time. ED and JS could ROCK those type of scenes! Again my congratulation to you Eileen.

That would be fun to have her come back as Susan. If they would give her a good story on Y&R that would be good. I think The last significant story was when she was being tortured by adam.

I like her on Y&R though I confess I have not watched it in years. It’s just not in me to enjoy watching characters I hate on a soap. My soaps are my escape. The only villain I really enjoy watching ever has been Stefano. I once hated him, but because of great writing I very much enjoy him now. Kristen is a character I simply loathe on Days, I did in the 90’s and it only got worse with her return. I can hardly even stand the thought of her returning to days. Nothing against ED, it just about the way days love to torture people with characters like this. I am not sure about other soap, I never watch any of the other ones. Still think a return as Susan would be the only way I could find her watchable…. SO It looks like my #FF is going to be working again in July or August, I don’t need that kind of torture in my life!!!

I’m soooo happy about that. So thrilled to see the actress and her amazing character on “Days” again. Will her first scenes really air in June? Given the show’s recent taping schedule we expected them to air end July/ early August. Maybe they’ll insert those scenes into what’s been filmed in January?
Of course, the sooner the better.

And, of course, I hope Eileen Davidson gets her Emmy nomination on May 1st.

Eileen needs to win that emmy, she deserves to win. she is a wonderful actress.

She is beautiful, Bright and talented . I hope she wins, she deserves it

I think so, too-gorgeous and talented!

Maybe Kristen was pregnant after all…is it Brady’s or Erik’s? Kristen has named the child Damian Dimera and he has the no.666 on the back of his head!!!…lol

She has been deserving of a statue since the 90’s… unfortunately she has always been overlooked. I will be really upset if she doesn’t take it home this year. She is one of daytime’s best!

I’d love to see Eileen win! She deserves it! She’s the best actress on daytime! Extremely excited that she’s back on days!!!!

She so deserves to win!

If the character comes back with a baby in tow- saying it is Eric’s that will be classic DAYS or she could say it is Brady’s but it is really Eric’s or she could say it is Eric’s just to stick it to Marlena, but it is really Brady’s, the possibilities are endless, including Daddy Dimera Stefano bought her a baby and had all the changed all the paternity tests so everyone will think the baby is her’s and Eric’s. Can you imagine ex-Fr. Eric doing the noble thing and marrying Kristen for the child’s sake? Well, whatever story they come up with for her I doubt it will boring and maybe get ED an Emmy nod for next year.

We did it again…a baby that is either Eriks or Bradys!!! lol

Don’t forget to throw Susan and/or Sister Mary into the mix! Sister Mary could have had a sick love for Eric!! She can pose as Kristen with “maybe baby Eric”!!! Endless possibilities add up to great stories!!!! I hope I don’t lose my mind from all the excitement!!!!!

The way Eileen crafted that character of Kristen is so amazing. You can feel how broken Kristen is. Even throughout the most vile acts you see inside her emotional torture. Eileen deserve the award just for the complexities you instill in that character. Congratulations!

I really hope Eileen wins! Her comeback as Kristen Blake Dimera was unstoppable! I absolutely love her as an actress-very talented! Can’t wait until she returns to Salem!

Eileen was amazing and probably does deserve the emmy. I am thrilled that she is back where she belongs and where she really does shine. That being said, I will always root for my Ari Zucker as long as she is in contention… Zucker is my favorite on daytime.

I hope she gets nominated but for sure the enmy will go to Heather Tom…i know i know, not again right?! But she had an amazing year and her reel will be by far and i mean by very far the best of them all

And the lobbying begins!!!

Love Eileen as an actress. Awesome for the nomination. I hope she gets the win, however, if she is up against Alison Sweeney (I haven’t seen whose nominated), then I could totally see Alison getting it just because this is supposed to be leaving the show after 2 decades of being a staple.

Excited too to see what Kristen is up to when she comes back. I hope this Eric/Nicole storyline hasn’t gone “stupid” just because of her coming back though. The writers really need to figure out how to balance things properly.

Her scenes in the yellow dress after Marlena ruined her 1st wedding to Brady were amazing. “He was all over me” she killed it

“Daytime television invites viewers into the private lives of characters, often bringing important issues like cancer screenings into living rooms and around water coolers. Soaps debuted the first cancer storyline in 1962 – years before the topic was discussed in the mainstream, and it left an indelible impact: a whole generation of women who scheduled a potentially life-saving Pap smear for the first time,” said Daytime Stands Up host Alan Locher. “For so many viewers, this brought the issue front and center,” added co-host Michael Fairman. “Today, it’s become almost impossible to avoid; but there is hope with cancer research, thanks to organizations like Stand Up To Cancer.”

SU2C Co-Founder Sue Schwartz, SU2C President and CEO Julian Adams, Ph.D., and SU2C Health Equity Committee Member Elizabeth Jaffee, M.D., will also participate to speak to the importance of early detection, exciting scientific breakthroughs, and the ongoing work yet to be done to make screenings and treatment equitable for all.

“This year, an estimated 2 million people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer, presenting an opportunity for the public to stand with us and rise to the occasion,” said Adams. “We’re thankful to Alan Locher, Michael Fairman and our friends from the daytime television community, who will raise critical funding to honor those we’ve lost – and to propel new scientific breakthroughs for current and future patients. Everyone has a story, and we’re grateful to all of you for sharing yours.”

For over 15 years, SU2C has leveraged its relationship with the entertainment community – which includes more than 1,100 celebrity ambassadors – to generate public donations, increase awareness and fund cutting-edge cancer research. SU2C research has contributed to the development of more than 10 scientific breakthroughs that have significantly impacted the field and provided new treatment options for breast, colorectal, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, pediatric and prostate cancers.
