Kelly Sullivan  -General Hospital

Connie Falconeri was involved in a car accident on New Year’s Eve that put her only child, Trey Mitchell in a coma. When it was determined that Trey was brain dead, Connie wouldn’t turn off the machines. Trey’s wife, Kristina Corinthos –Davis acted quickly to get a court order to allow her husband to die with dignity. Connie realized that as a mother she had to do the right thing for her son and turned off the machines. Life without her recently discovered son had been completely unbearable for Connie. Connie’s childhood boyfriend, Sonny Corinthos seemed to be the only one that could help Connie through the dark moments.

Jane Elliot  – General Hospital

Tracy Quartermaine CEO of ELQ, always got what she wanted when it came to the world of business. When it came to love, Tracy’s record wasn’t exactly stellar. The one man that seemed to get her, Luke Spencer had fooled her in the past and yet they continued to be drawn to each other. Luke’s ex-wife, Laura Spencer return to Port Charles had given Tracy a moment to pause and reflect on what she wanted when it came to relationships. Being a Quartermaine, she wanted it all and would not settle for anything less.

Melissa Claire Egan  – The Young and the Restless

Pregnant with her ex-husband’s baby and convinced he is in love with someone else – and that he will likely try and take the baby away from her – Chelsea decides to pass one-night-stand Dylan off as the baby’s father. Virtual strangers at first, Chelsea and Dylan fall in love and marry, baby Connor is born, and the little family is blissfully happy until Chelsea is forced to confess the truth.  She insists nothing needs to change and pleads with a devastated Dylan not to leave – but will he listen?

Elizabeth Hendrickson  -The Young and the Restless

For Chloe, blissfully unaware of just how dramatically her life is about to change, it’s a night to remember. Her seven-year-old daughter, Delia, got a standing ovation at the school play. Her estranged husband, Kevin, took her to see a favorite movie for the umpteenth time, and the two are inching closer to reconciliation.  And then Chloe learns Delia has been the victim of a hit-and-run accident and did not survive.  Inconsolable about not getting to say goodbye, she lashes out, first blaming Delia’s father, then Kevin, for the tragedy. Chloe doesn’t want this to be real. But it is.

Amelia Heinle – The Young and the Restless

Victoria couldn’t attend seven-year-old stepdaughter Delia’s school play, but she planned a welcome home celebration, decorating the living room and suggesting husband Billy bring home ice cream. Happily awaiting Billy and Delia’s return, Victoria gets life-changing news: While Billy ran into a store for the ice cream, Delia got out of the car to chase her dog and was the victim of a hit-and-run driver. Now newly arrived home from the hospital, and not knowing where grief stricken Billy has gone, Victoria pulls down the party decorations and shares with sister Abby that she blames herself. If she had gone to the play, if she hadn’t suggested ice cream, Delia would still be alive. When Billy comes home he is upset Victoria removed the decorations and put Delia’s belongings away, but eventually realizes how much he needs to lean on his wife.

Liz Hendrickson…………

I think this could a tough category to pick a winner but i personally hope Jane Elliot wins.

How come Kelly is only nominated for Connie…what about Kate…i thought they were equally good…lol

Please, a tie win for Kelly(who deserves 2 trophys for obvious reasons…lol) and Jane…will Elizabeth Hendrickson be leaving Genoa City for Port Chuck as the new Robin?

Kelly was fantastic and should definitely win this award. Love Jane Eliott and she deserves a win as well. Both excellent actors.

OMG! Kelly was no way as great as Elizabeth Hendrickson! Not even close! Elizabeth gave stellar performances for MONTHS and this is HER Year!

Amelia was equally AWESOME too … it is RARE for a story to showcase a step mother’s feeling of loss, and Victoria nailed her performances, again for MONTHS! Maybe a tie in the women’s category this year …. Chloe and Victoria!

Elizabeth or anyone on YR for this one

Well for starters, Robin Mattson (‘Heather,’ General Hospital) should be in the running because she was magnificent in 2013.

But since she isn’t, it’s absolutely going to go to Elizabeth Hendrickson.

And people, please shut up about Sharon Case (!!!) 🙁

Sharon Case was pre-nominated for Lead Actress.

Yes, I know but in the thread for Outstanding Younger ACTOR, all the fans were complaining about Sharon Case not getting a nomination at all.

Jane Elliot (Tracy ) GH or Kelly Sullivan (Connie) GH
Both were outstanding!
I’d like Jane to win but I believe Kelly/Connie will take home the Gold Dummy..

I would like to see Jane get it, but unfortunately I think one the gals from Young and the Restless will get it– their submitted scenes are more in tune with the emmy style of favoring highly dramatic crying scenes or expression of anger when choosing the most outstanding work.

I would love to see Jane Elliot win in this category; that scene was one of my all time favorites for Tracy and the writing, plus her magnificent acting, were incredible.

Elizabeth Hendrickson and Melissa Claire Egan very much deserved their nominations and I predict that one of them will be the victor. I can see Missy winning, not only for her strong reel, but she has been a constant nominee for years and, sometimes, the Emmys love to reward patience. I would be a little shocked if it wasn’t Elizabeth Hendrickson’s year, but, then again, Rebecca Herbst had the exact same storyline and nomination and lost, so who knows.

I’m not discrediting Kelly or Ameila’s talents, but I believe that there were better performances than their’s. I’m still disappointed to not see Kirsten Storms or Kimberly McCullough in the running.

Melissa Claire Egan for the win!

I was rooting for Jane before viewing all the submitted performances because she was outstanding all year. All these ladies were AMAZING. Based on the reels alone:

1. Kelly Sullivan
2. Jane Elliott
3. Elizabeth Hendrickson
4. Amelia Heinle
5. Melissa Claire Egan

Jane Elliot should win, without question, but we all know the award will go to showkiller/childkiller Phelps. Is it any wonder no network wants to carry the Emmys? We can predict them with sad accuracy from miles away 🙁

Phelps and Jane Eliot are not in the same category.

I believe Tom means that the award will go to one of the actresses that were involved in the dead child storyline, for which Phelps was EP of: Elizabeth Hendrickson, Ameila Heinle, Melissa Claire Egan.

I’m rooting for Amelia Heinle.
Elizabeth should have submitted the scenes where she tells her mother. Those were better.

Kelly Sullivan and hey RC she should have never been written out!

Jane Elliot or Amelia Heinle

Jane Elliot for the win.

Definitely Melissa!

Amelia Heinle!!! She was amazing!

All the ladies were solid..I so wish GH would have submitted a better reel for Kelly.

I watch both shows and Ms Sullivan is the most deserving of the award overall based on the time period for nominations and she should win!!

But based on these reels alone, Elizabeth’s one was more moving and right up the voter’s alley so she will probably win.!!

That said, I will really love to see the mesmerizing and talented Ms Jane Elliot win !!!
But will be clapping hard also is Kelly Sullivan wins too!!

Jane Elliot is my sentimental pick, just because she’s been so good for so long, and hasn’t been recognized for her work in a long time. But Kelly Sullivan’s reel was very good. They were all good in their own way. This is a tough category to call.

I also think it’s interesting to note, for all the trash that people talk about Maurice Benard and the character of Sonny, it’s very telling how many of his co-stars submitted scenes that they shared with Maurice. That says all you need to know about what kind of quality actor he is, which I’ve always thought, but is something that a lot of people seem to forget when they want to bash him.

Kelly Sullivan by a hair over Jane Elliott.

Oh, Jane Elliot for sure. But why oh why was Finola Hughes not nominated? This is an actress who keeps getting better, who brings something from the depths of her soul when the scene calls for it. Her scenes with Robert and Robin were tear inducing. She was so good I was led to believe she was not acting.

Finola Hughes was in the Lead Actress category in the pre-noms but didn’t get a nomination. Now Finola had every right to choose which category she wanted to be in but maybe she would have had a better chance in the Supporting Actress category.

I’m going with Amelia.

Jane Elliot will (deservedly) get it but Im rooting for Amelia Heinle.

As much as I adore Jane Elliot, who is a fantastic actress, my vote this year has to go to Liz Hendrickson! Her portrayal of a grieving mother knocked it out of the park. What a loss for Y&R, to not have this wonderful actress on their cast list. Hope she wins!!

My personal choice would be Amelia Heinle. I have always loved her portrayal of Victoria and she was SO impressive in the aftermath of Delia’s death. But…based SOLELY on the reels, I say Elizabeth for the win. Second…Amelia. Third…Jane. Fourth…Kelly. Fifth…Melissa. Elizabeth’s reel is the stuff Emmy’s were made for. Jane did some nice subtle work in these few scenes. It was a nice change to see her not being an acid tongued bitch…and she displayed Tracy’s inner little girl. It might have been too subtle though. Kelly’s year was 2012 when she was going full tilt as Connie/Kate. Her reel was okay but I just can’t see it being enough. And Melissa…I like her acting on a day to day basis, but this reel fell completely flat. It contained nothing that screamed “I’m an Emmy winner.”

LIZ HENDERICKSON…. Without a doubt, should win.

The Supporting actor nominees came in after the ladies. So I will talk about them too. Bradford submitted the exactly correct clip. He was brilliant and his emotions ran the gamut from cluelessness, to joy, to hurt, to rage. It was the first time I ever thought of Spinelli as a man. I would totally place him as front runner. I would not, however, count out Eric Martsolf. He was fantastic going through a myriad of emotions and seamlessly changing moods the way an addict would. He is a very good actor and when he goes off the rails as Brady he can take himself into some very dark places. The other actors are good and reliable. But they lack the flash dazzle of Bradford and Eric.

This is not a competition. If Jane Elliot doesn’t win, it’s fixed. And it’s complete bs that GH wasn’t nominated for writing. That scene alone was far and above better than most of the stuff we see on the soaps.

Jane Elliot, hands down. Screaming and crying does not mean you are worthy of winning an award. She’s the only actress in this category that gets that.

Another strong competition. It still would have been strong, if not stronger, if the four other soaps were honored in this category!!! And the winner is…JANE ELLIOT!

#2. Amelia Heinle
#3. Kelly Sullivan
#4. Elizabeth Hendrickson
#5. Melissa Claire Egan

Like the others have said, it would be nice for Jane to win, but my vote would be for Lizzie..

I remember the scenes with Jane Elliot as Tracy telling Luke that she wanted “the whole enchilada;” not only the crumbs. I loved that scene. After watching that, I have found myself say that same thing in various situations. I love, love, love Jane Elliot! I love Kelly Sullivan, too; but, I thought that Kelly’s best scenes were when she was altering from Connie to Kate and vice versa. She was incredible! Also, when she finally remembered that Joe Jr. had raped her as a teenager.

Kelly Sullivan! For an amazing two years!

This is far and away the most loaded category

Amelia Heinle
Elizabeth Hendrickson
Jane Elliott

STAND out: Kelly Sullivan

she gets nominated : MCE

for one of the – best – story lines … in years… and befuddles, how weak Y&R has become

this was the standing trophy… and last of the GREAT on.

I mean really

w/ Jeanne Cooper
Michael Muhney
Billy Miller
Michelle Stafford

Elizabeth Hendrickson deserves recognition

and this is just the actors, who do their best to forefront… a new regime of Genoa City production… behind the scenes… writing team that drives all else… lacks

I can’t even call a clear winner in ALL this:

you know : how much Amelia Heinle resonates with me… my heartbeat.. and I stand by that

she, like, Jane Elliott… have never submitted… every year. is that class in itself.. that they care more about their craft… and don’t hollywood and submit for accolades and spotlight

I adore these two

for my current pull….

it’s always Amelia … I recognize her Newman…. she’s always maintained, HER. every one else – has – fallen by the wayside… in some way or the other… yet Victoria persevered… that’s recognition of trophy… I love her

i’d cull Jane Elliot next.. but it’s Elizabeth Hendrickson

she is exquisite… a mainstay.. that perhaps with lack of quality writing is overlooked.. but her quality of presence rises above.

I’ll always think of her AMC days… when she beat the odds of spousal abuse… her romance with Bianca… positive stuff… and rose to new heights

she ignited for me… as the maids daughter… of Esther… and that’s a statement.. but.. Esther LOVED her daughter

I loved the antics with Chase and Ronin… did I say CHASE ? I pull the underdog to the forefront… as that’s what delivers as well.

she’s radiant… look at the picture above… of Elizabeth.. just sparkles

the love she had WITH Dehlia… was picture perfect… she aired it right…. her resonance with … even tho she didn’t have him… Billy… was a dream…. the “alliance” she had with Victoria… and or fine line… was must see

Jane Elliott… a true persona

a lively woman… who cares about her craft… who innately… stays out of the limelight… a true force of nature.. who imbues character… unforseen

she deserves to WIN…. I know that she’s aware of the business… and would delight in the emmy goes to

GOD… excuse… Joe Scully, 3rd.. was such a maligned decision… of canvas… LOVE was wafting in the air… a permeated of senses was true

my one and only : Kelly Sullivan… where in this current realm… can you say all time newbie discovered… who radiated everything… about her… was charmed… eloquent… spot on… delivered… real… came on like gangbusters… the biggest blunder of the RC/FV regime.

see Patricio… “…Kelly Sullivan! For an amazing two years!” where do you go from this?

why can you not see… RC/FV that Kelly Sullivan come back as Kate… just make it happen… would solve so much on the canvas… especially… for: Sonny, Morgan, Michael, Olivia, Carly, Franco… even Kiki… Tracy… look who much she pulled out of US.

for backlash… and just pissed off! Kelly Sullivan for the WIN… nortoriety : listen to that RC/FV

there was absolute chemistry with this lady… with

MCE : I don’t get it… she was nominated with AMC as well… ok

I can’t call this…

my want is Amelia Heinle
I’d LOVE TO cherish and salute Kelly Sullivan
I respect Jane Elliott : Thank You

I miss Elizabeth Hendrickson

I’m with baited breath on this one

*Y&R* elizabeth or amelia!

Anyone that says GH doesn’t really write for vets or respect their established characters should look at Jane Elliot’s reel–best writing in any of these noms–subtle, drawing on decades of character development and deeply respect of the power and the dreams of a mature woman. (Now if we can only hope that Tracy is going along with Fluke to catch him (and maybe find the original before he is killed–if she is really as stupid as she seems in the current story line, then it will be one giant step forward and then several slides back)

“OMG”

elizabeth hendrickson : reel : did she not hit every stimuli , every button, every note… on Q

I”m staggered : having watched it for the first time. I fully realize she deserves to win.

as she’s telling Kevin : she shares how Dehila : can talk and talk…. ( what mother wouldn’t not get over her young one relating and communicating with) and how she’s more than bereft that she’s never going to hear her again… Chloe’ life has gone still

All soaps delivered human emotion… that triggered highs and lows… this past year… with Genoa City was earth shattering… in front of the camera and behind the scenes… i have to prop and give accolade to how superlative… this Dehlia story… evoked… how Y&R delivered their #1…

Amelia Heinle : is not to be taken lightly. she delivers her act… plus
she’s carrying the Newmans.

she may have been the step parent… she didn’t love any less…. and she loved with every fiber of her being… Billy Abbott…

I would have done the same things… continued on… to love and support my husband… knowing he’s grief stricken… and I’d have taken the bullets… because love draws you in… and the pain and process is just that… to align… and plane together… is a hoped for eventual eye to eye together

Victoria is the cornerstone… the supplanted if you will… as she’s not a son… ie: Nick… and wasn’t culled from… and yet.. when they do… (y&r production) she rises to the occasion… and beams for every person… out their… the audience cries cheers and bemoans the fact(s) this woman… regardless if she’s the step mother… and her husband… lost HIS child… it’s still a part of her

Y&R can deliver… what the heck is happening… since this… a staggering production… of story telling… that top notch actors gave spent and read the script and ripped out our hearts… with ACTion

beautiful

MCE: was fine… in featuring and showcasing… Steve Burton… and he is propped up in my eyes… for elevating and furthering along… a good story… who’s the father…

they both did a fine job… supporting… Michael Muhney.

Jane Elliott : I am always waiting… and waiting… and hoping.. that she will one day… as she stated to Luke… I want what ever woman dreams of… true love… my soul mate.. if it takes the rest of my life.. to my last dying breath… I’ll hope and want as much.. and deserved like… a man to dream with

wasn’t what I would cull emmy win… but nontheless.. features how reliant and golden Jane Elliott gives… the audience

not this year.. but certainly.. she deserves to put her ring in the arc and go with

Kelly Sullivan : still IS a STAND out… look at how well they played of off each other… how good… and above par excellence Maurice Benard and Kelly Sullvan… together.. with natural ease… and conviction… on their instinctual nuanced natural delivery… this pair belonged… belonged for the long haul… of GH… belonged together… what a BIG misfire… tragic shame… so much of GH equation of that one hour delivery is missing because of letting go.. this WOMAN… towering inferno she resonated and culled every basic instinct and embodied imagination… easily

————-

still the best category : and should not be taken lightly… in that their is a more deserving in this mix

Chloe, Victoria, Connie, Chelsea, Tracy

in this order..

I tug for Victoria… but.. Chloe last stand… is penchant for give notice… due process
Connie simply has to find a way back to daytime… DAYS please adhere to fan pull

1) E hendrickson
2) Amelia
3) Melissa clair

I want a tie in the SUPPORTING ACTRESS category this year! Amelia and Elizabeth NAILED THEIR PERFORMANCES and made EVERY Viewer sob uncontrollably with them for MONTHS! These were DAILY MUST SEE PERFORMANCES–even though NO ONE CONDONED JFP going here and killing this darling child–Delia–the next generation Abbot!

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Nikolas Gets an Earful from Ava About Sonny and His Meds; Nina and Drew Can’t Seem to Resist Each Other

Ava (Maura West) seems to feel she has a confidante in a jailed Nikolas (Adam Huss) on the Monday, April 29th episode of General Hospital. In story, Ava heads to Pentonville to visit her ex-husband before he is set to get transferred out of state.

When discussing her living relationship with Sonny (Maurice Benard), which Nikolas already knew about, Ava says she is happy about how her relationship with Sonny has been evolving, Nikolas ask if she’s in love with Sonny. Ava denies it, but goes on to say how great it is for her daughter, Avery to be living with both her parents, who are on the same side and not at odds.

Nikolas believes that Ava loves being in Sonny’s inner sanctum and the power that comes with it. Ava fires back that she spent years looking in from the outside and that everyone despised her. When Nikolas brings up Nina (Cynthia Watros), she says Nina never really could understand the true type of man that Sonny is.

Then, Ava launches in on Carly (Laura Wright), and how she would love to stick it to her, for all the times she blocked Ava from seeing her child and Carly’s attitude towards her. Then, Ava admits to Nikolas that she knows that Sonny has a watered-down version of his bipolar medication, which is making him more vulnerable and she’s capitalizing on it for her own gain. She says she needs to figure out who is responsible, but Nikolas voices concern for Ava’s plan and that if Sonny ever found out she knew about it and did nothing, he would be on the warpath against her. Ava promises she knows what she’s doing. When she says goodbye to Nikolas, he looks upset and sad, as he still seemingly cares for Ava.

Meanwhile in Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) office, Nina walks in complaining about Carly giving her a hard time about maintenance in her office. Nina wants payback for Jason (Steve Burton) buying Carly the hotel, but Drew is not up for playing games with her.  She says they both want revenge on Jason and Carly, which Drew denies. Next thing you know, Nina grabs Drew and kisses him. Although, it seems he might walk out the door and away from her, he locks it, and the two proceed to have round 2 of their hate-sex.

Elsewhere, Anna tells Jason about her shooting Charlotte and her concern about Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) involvement with Pikeman. Meanwhile, Valentin visits Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) in Pentonville, where threats are laid out to make Sonny look like the guilty party in eliminating Jason, while Anna is the line of fire, if she doesn’t keep her nose out of Pikeman business, which worries Valentin, who doesn’t want Anna getting hurt in any of this.

So, what do you think about Ava’s plans? Did you like seeing Nikolas back on the canvas? Are you all for a Drew/Nina continued affair? Will Anna get caught in the crossfire only to be saved by Valentin? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below.

Haley Pullos Receives 90-Day Jail Sentence Following DUI Charge And Wrong-Way Car Crash

Former General Hospital actress, Haley Pullos (ex-Molly Lansing-Davis) is going to be doing time in jail, exactly one-year after her arrest from a hit and run wrong-way car collision.

The crash resulted in bodily harm and damages to the other driver, and now Pullos who pleaded “no contest” to the charges and will serve 90 days in jail. She was taken in custody on Monday, April 29th, after the ruling.

According to Haley’s attorney, Mark Daniel Melnick, the 25-year-old actress struck a plea deal and after her three months in jail will be sentenced on July 29th. As part of that sentencing, she must serve five years probation, 200 hours of community service and pay $8,260 in restitution to Courteney Wilder, the other driver in the crash and her driver’s license is revoked for a year.

According to TMZ, the plea deal for Pullos has the “no contest” to one DUI, while the judge dropped the felony DUI causing bodily injury and misdemeanor hit and run charges.

Melnick said in a statement to PEOPLE, “Haley is very grateful to the court for a minimum sentence and for recognizing her remorse and the strides she has made in her sobriety.”

Pullos had played the daughter of Alexis Davis (played by Nancy Lee Grahn) on the ABC soap opera since 2009, but after her car crash and DUI she was replaced by three different actresses until the show finally settled on the current Molly, Kristen Vaganos.

Back in April 29 of 2023, and at the scene of the crash, the police found edibles and mini-bottles of tequila in Pullos’ vehicle and that she was intoxicated. As it turned out, this was to be the second hit and run in the evening for Pullos who had an earlier collision with another car.

The courts decision follows a year-long legal battle with Haley’s pleas changing throughout it, ranging from “not guilty” to “no contest”. She sought treatment for her drinking at a rehab following the crash.

Nancy Lee Grahn, who portrayed Pullos’ on-screen mom took to X on Monday night, April 29th and shared on the sentence and the specific jail, Haley will be serving time: “As Haley’s TV mom I can tell some truths about her as I’ve loved her since she was little girl. She made a HUGE mistake, knows it, owns it & has spent the last yr doing EVERYTHING imaginable to take responsibility 4 it. It’s not that I oppose jail. It’s that I oppose this jail.” The jail in question by Grahn is the L.A. county jail.

So, what do you think about Haley Pullos serving a 90-days jail sentence, and the other rulings that will be part of her sentencing? Comment below.
