Former DAYS Star James Scott Cast In New TBS Comedy Pilot WRECKED!

Those who have been wondering where they may see beloved former Days of our Lives fan favorite James Scott (Ex-EJ) again on the screen, may have found their answer if this new TV sitcom gets picked up!

James has been cast in what seems to be a role that will give him a hilarious star turn in the new TBS comedy pilot entitled Wrecked!  In the premise, according to The Hollywood Reporter: “Wrecked centers group of passengers who, after their plane crashes on a remote island, the group of extremely diverse survivors are forced to adjust to life in a dangerous new world that poses unique threats — mostly brought upon themselves.  From writers Justin Shipley and Jordan Shipley and producer Jesse Hara, the comedy explores the group who, no longer plugged in, must navigate the new society and learn to live without the comforts of 2015 — including social media, WiFi, indoor plumbing and Chipotle.

Think of it as Lost- meets- Gilligan’s Island!  Their are then 10 castaways in which James Scott plays one of them!  He will play the role of Liam! The character is described as: “Confident, charismatic, appealing, natural leader and seemingly the most handsome man in the world — even after a plane crash. He’s done 10 years with British special forces, military police before that and now campaigns for human rights for child war refugees.”

Other actors in the cast include: Asif Ali, Ginger Gonzaga, Ally Maki, and Zach Cregger to name a few.

So, what do you think about James’ new role?  Comment below!

Sounds like GILLIGAN’S ISLAND. Good for him. I would love to see him play comedy.

As long as it doesn’t turn into slapstick comedy I’ll give it a try. It will be good to see Scott back on the screen.

Doesn’t look like James Scott will be heading back to Days… but I kind of expected him to find work outside of daytime. New sitcoms don’t seem to be doing as well these days though… but I hope it works out for him. I’m sure as an actor it’s nice to try new roles that are different than what you’re known for!

THEY START GOING REALLY GOOD THEN SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS…WISH IT WAS LIKE IT USED TO BE..REALLY MISS JAMES SCOTT AND HIS SWEETY SAMMIE

When???????

Ironically, Days feels ‘Wrecked’ right now…lol

When did Guiding Light and One Life To Live get buried (R.I.P.) on this page?

I meant to ask about All My Children and One Life to Live.

Guiding Light already had the tombstone for quite a while.

Didnt notice but it was obvious they werent coming back!!!

Well in true soap fashion they both returned once after being labeled RIP.

Congrats to James in finding a project that’ll hopefully give him what he’s been looking for in a role.

I really miss him on DOOL, looking forward to seeing him in the show

I will definitely watch. …..can’t wait to be entertained by James’s comedic side. Plus, he’s so sexy.

That’s exciting! Congrats to James. Guess he won’t be coming back to Days any time soon.

As long as we can see him again we’ll be happy. He is truely missed on “Days” but as a long-term fan I have to say most of us follow the actors after they leave. Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving him a roll. I’ll watch because of James. Big fan, Dee S.

When will we see it on television?

Wonderful News!!! I’ve really missed seeing James on screen. This sounds like a fun new role for him. Hopefully, TBS will make this happen.

Michael, thank you for the information. Please keep us up-dated.

When does Wrecked air ?

he is so gorgeous i miss him on days so much!

i think he should have been cast as mr gray in the movie 50 shades of gray

Totally agree!!!

i thought the exact same thing!!! i pictured him from the very beginning!!!

OMG, can’t wait to see him in this new show!

So glad to hear this news about James Scott. Will look very forward to seeing him on screen again. I was a big fan of his on Days. I wish you the best of luck James!!

I miss him on Days ; however , I’m glad he has a new show.

Yes, this is exciting news about James! It looks like he encountered some other exciting news. According to twitter and Soaps.com, James recently got married to a his long term girlfriend, Kaitlin Robinson.

Best wishes to James on his new television series and marriage!

When can I watch the show? when is it on ? please email me

Sue,

The series will be on TBS station, if TBS decides to accept this pilot. They are filming a few episodes to present to TBS. TBS will either accept or reject. If they accept the pilot, then we will know when the series will be begin airing on TBS.

James will keep his fans up-dated on his twitter. I’m sure Michael will keep us up-dated on this blog. He is very informative and always 100% accurate with his information.

hope we get it here in Aussie on fox, miss him DOOLS.

Congratulations to James, and best wishes for much success of the show.

I have a question that is not related to this topic. I just read on SOC message Board that actor John de Lancie signed a contract to play EJ on Days.

This sounds ridiculous—John is 66 years old. Does anyone know anything about this—sounds like a ridiculous rumor!

I hope not.

This is wonderful news about James Scott ! He has such a once in a life time talent that is more noteworthy than his good looks. I think this talent will go down in the history books and will stand the test of time. I hope that TBS has the intelligence to embrace this talent . I predict this show will bring TBS many awards! I cannot wait to see this man’s talents once again. Don’t worry about John de Lancie. Days is history in a much different way now. It is ridiculous that anyone thinks they can replace James Scott. But, then again they shot the goose that laid the golden egg so I guess they are ridiculous. Just pull up a chair and enjoy “Wrecked”.

Sounds interesting and potential for shirtless scenes. 🙂

It is cool, let’s hope this pilot will be picked up.
Anyway if this project doesn’t work out James will find another one, i am looking forward to see him in a comedic role (even on Days, at the beginning of his tenure he showed some snarky charming humor..he was good at it).
It was time for him to show what he can do on prime time. This medium could fit him.

Mr. Scott is a good actor. I hope the new sitcom gets picked up. I for one will be a faithful follower of the program. Days of Our Lives lost a very important piece in the puzzle of characters. Good Luck, Terry Schultz

– I can’t wait!! This is great news for a great actor with many sides fo his personality!! Congrats!! Miss you on Days.. Not the same since you and Sami left.

Will be so happy to see him again !! He is an incredible Actor. So miss him on Days. I wish him the best.

I sure hope #TBS picks it up. Would love to see James in a comedy.

Vicki

I think it will be awesome to see James back on screen. I have missed him so much on Days. Wrecked sounds like it will be a good show, I look forward to watching it. I just hope I don’t miss with it starts. Please advertise the date and time on FB. Thank You.

Really hope this can be viewed in Australia and that we do get notified! There are many Aussie fans that would greatly appreciate it!!! All the very best to Jamed Scott!!! Miss you so much on days EJ was yours on yours alone!!!

Meant yours and yours alone!!!!

I think he plays. The role of EJ Dimera quite well and that is his best work and all his fans want him back.
He will always be rem. as EJ Dimera and no other actor will ever be able to step in his shoes. Awesome actor and a role that only he can portray. Hope he returns to Days of Our Lives in the near future.

I would watch James in ANYthing!

When will it be on?

Good for him. When do you know is the Pilot on? I look forward to seeing it. Thank you for the update.

I’m so happy James will be back on tv. His acting is superb, I hope TBS decides to pick up the pilot. I am happy for him and his new bride!!!!!!

It does indeed sound like “Gilligan’s Island”, but with a British twist!

I can’t wait. I love James Scott, he should have been Grey in fifty shades!!! Sexiest man alive!!!

I totally agree…

I can’t imagine James doing a comedy role. But, if it makes him happy, it makes me happy. I hope he knows how much he is missed on DOOL. Forever and always a James Scott fan. Wishing him only the very best.
James, if by chance you are reading this….PLEASE come back to Days.

I agree I miss him on DOOL too. Not the same without him. That hunk….

I will watch ANYTHING he is in. Besides being handsome he is a great actor. So happy to see him on TV again. Miss him a lot on Days of our Lives.

Did his character die on the pilot episode?

I think he would make a wonderful James Bond. The new 007, he be great in the part.

Great! First episode and he is killed off . Just lost interest in Wrecked!!!!!!!!!

I watched two episodes and James scott get killed in the first episode! Is he alive, is he coming back. That’s the only reason I would watch this show.

“Daytime television invites viewers into the private lives of characters, often bringing important issues like cancer screenings into living rooms and around water coolers. Soaps debuted the first cancer storyline in 1962 – years before the topic was discussed in the mainstream, and it left an indelible impact: a whole generation of women who scheduled a potentially life-saving Pap smear for the first time,” said Daytime Stands Up host Alan Locher. “For so many viewers, this brought the issue front and center,” added co-host Michael Fairman. “Today, it’s become almost impossible to avoid; but there is hope with cancer research, thanks to organizations like Stand Up To Cancer.”

SU2C Co-Founder Sue Schwartz, SU2C President and CEO Julian Adams, Ph.D., and SU2C Health Equity Committee Member Elizabeth Jaffee, M.D., will also participate to speak to the importance of early detection, exciting scientific breakthroughs, and the ongoing work yet to be done to make screenings and treatment equitable for all.

“This year, an estimated 2 million people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer, presenting an opportunity for the public to stand with us and rise to the occasion,” said Adams. “We’re thankful to Alan Locher, Michael Fairman and our friends from the daytime television community, who will raise critical funding to honor those we’ve lost – and to propel new scientific breakthroughs for current and future patients. Everyone has a story, and we’re grateful to all of you for sharing yours.”

For over 15 years, SU2C has leveraged its relationship with the entertainment community – which includes more than 1,100 celebrity ambassadors – to generate public donations, increase awareness and fund cutting-edge cancer research. SU2C research has contributed to the development of more than 10 scientific breakthroughs that have significantly impacted the field and provided new treatment options for breast, colorectal, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, pediatric and prostate cancers.
