Adam Huss Wraps Latest Run as General Hospital’s Nikolas Cassadine
Friday’s September 15th episode of General Hospital will mark the end of the current run of Adam Huss as the dark prince, Nikolas Cassadine. Over the last few weeks, GH viewers were happy to see that Nikolas was actually back on-screen, recovered from his coma, and now seemingly ready to regain his life.
However, and in story, it was revealed that Austin (Roger Howarth) has known where Nikolas has been hiding out and keeping this huge secret from Ava (Maura West). Now, it looks like Nikolas will continue to be hiding as he leaves the canvas once again.
According to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, they report, Adam Huss has concluded his latest stint when ‘Nik skips town.’
Will GH continue to bring back Huss in intermittent intervals to continue the story of Nikolas Cassadine? Will he still be the series ultimate replacement in the role that was vacated after the departure of Marcus Coloma? Stay tuned.

Tyler has severe mental illness which has hurt his life and career. It’s a damn shame. Sam and Dante are actually cute together. Sadly, Billy Miller passed away at the young age of 43. It’s not always easy to cast the best actors. Plus this show has more characters than any other soap!

I lost interest when they broke up Sam and Jason. Carly was Sonny ‘s ride or die and the writers have him dropped her for crazy Nina. Then they bring Cyrus back with his creepy self. Just bad written and it’s just hard to watch. I don’t think I’ve seen 10 episodes this year. And less then that last year.

This one has me scratching my head. Why bring Huss back as Nikolas only to have him leave after a few weeks, when there is so much story to tell for the character in Port Charles? They have seemingly been doing a better job of moving stories along in recent weeks, not sure if that’s the result of the fill-in writers or who is responsible, but here we have yet another story that will continue to drag on until Huss or whomever the next Nikolas is returns to the show. Maybe there is some grand plan at work, and they’re saving his return to town for when Ava puts Wyndemere and Spoon Island on the market, and Nikolas will turn up as the mystery buyer. I’m not sure, but I know I’m more than a little puzzled by what they’re doing with this character.

With Nik’s temporary return and the recent mentions of Lulu, it’s the fill-in writers way of saying they haven’t forgotten about these characters, but they’re not ready for either to return full time just yet.
That’s what I’m thinking that he’s going to buy Windermere but I hope they bring Tyler back

The rumor is that Marcus Coloma didn’t leave on good terms because he had COVID-19 in the last week or two he had to film the show. They should give him another chance. I saw an interview he did on the Stone Cold and the Jackal show and he only signed up for 3 years but rather regretted it. They should have renewed his contract, he did an excellent job.

Huss gives me the creeps, the way he moves his mouth when he speaks, his whole demeanor makes him seem mean, surly and also doesn’t seem to care for anyone, even his son Spencer as Austin pointed out. So, if played by Huss, I could care less if he ever comes back.

This is starting to become a joke… I think GH should keep Nikolas off the canvas until they can find a permanent replacement instead of bringing in temporary actors for a few weeks to “wrap up story.” Hopefully it will be Tyler Christopher, but if not, then Michael Muhney would be perfect for the role.
Michael Muhney would be perfect! He’s a fantastic actor! He was the single reason I used to watch The Young and the Restless. When they got rid of him, I stopped watching. I would love to see him on GH!
ABC is not going to take a chance on Muhney. Too much potential for negative publicity. There are better options out there.

Ava wants to sell Windamere, as Nicholas’ widow. And yesterday, . Spenser is supposed to become the heir to the entire Cassadine estate
.( which would include Windamere) How can these two things be true at the same time? Also, Huss just appeared on yesterdays episode to fulfill the idea of Nick going off to Europe and plant breadcrumbs to “appear” alive so that Spenser cannot gain control of his entire estate. I do not think Huss will be the permanent replacement as Nicholas.
Nikolas gave Windamere to Ava as part of a “divorce settlement”… though it was actually more of a way to keep Ava’s mouth shut about his previous confession to what he thought at the time was Esme’s murder. Even though Esme later turned up alive – and then had amnesia so she wouldn’t remember anything – even a confession to attempted murder might have been problematic.
So Ava is currently the legal owner of the mansion, not because Nikolas is believed to be “dead”. though any decent lawyer could probably get it back for Nikolas. Isn’t it about time Alexis tried to get her lawyer license back?

This makes no sense and is horrible storytelling. First, Nikolas would never have let his son think he was dead; that was the writers first mistake. They’re now compounding it by Nikolas doing it again. Niklas isn’t anxious to get back to Spencer? To find out what happened to Liz and if she took the fall for helping him hide Esme? Not anxious to meet his newborn? None of this makes sense and they’re continually writing Nikolas out of character. Horrible and surprised. I thought that Adam was the nuNik and that he’d be back on the canvas.
If we could see a map of this area of New York, I bet it would show the waterfront, Port Charles, a bunch of trees and Pawtauk. Given the ease with which characters come and go between the two, I’d guess it takes about a half hour to get from PC to Pawtauk. Less, if you’re being chased in a straight line through the woods by a villain. My point is if Nik wanted to know what was happening in Port Charles, he could turn on the evening news, read a paper, check the internet or since he’s the guest of Cousin Lollipop and Franco/Not Franco, he could just ask them. There’s no excuse for Nik not to know exactly what’s happening to his loved ones so the only conclusion we’re left with is he just doesn’t care. For a character who has always been portrayed as brooding and passionate to suddenly not give a tinker’s damn about anything makes no sense.
The writers have a scattered history of pointing where Port Charles is on the map. Sometimes, it’s north enough to have a harbor with reasonable access to the Canadian border. Other times, there’s the Pennsylvania side of the river that’s not far away.
Don’t forget about Tricky Dick Nixon Falls. We don’t know how far away from Port Charles it is, but apparently close enough that you can float there, face down in the river, without drowning.
My opinion is Nicholas faked his own death once before. That did not sit right with Spencer. So now he’s on run again . If he does decide to come back to PC I’m sure Spencer will b livid.GH seems to repeat storylines, gets a little old. Although I don’t think Nicolas would have much of a story line except returning from the dead again. Ava would b relieved

THIS FRIDAY: ‘General Hospital’s’ Tabyana Ali to Drop Music Video for Her Single ‘Pray’
General Hospital’s Tabyana Ali (Trina Robinson) is following up the September 1st premiere and drop of her new single Pray, with the release of the music video for it this Friday, September 25.
Ali made the announcement on Tuesday, September 22 via her Instagram account, which featured snippets from the music video with the date 9.25.26.
The timing couldn’t be better since most of the music industry is all about Sunday night’s September 27 MTV VMAs (Video Music Awards).

TRINA TIME
Previiously, Trina and Gio (Giovanni Mazza) performed the song “Pray” at a showcase arranged by music executive Simon (Grady Eldridge), with the looming question of who is Trina’s stalker yet to be revealed.
In more recent episodes of GH, Trina was on the warpath after learning that Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) was the actual driver of the car involved in the accident with Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and her father, Curtis (Donnell Turner).
Realizing Brook Lynn kept her mouth shut, in the end, Curtis is serving two years of jail time over accosting Isaiah Gannon (Sawani Wilson) believing he was the other driver! When Brook Lynn knew it was her all along. The situation has caused tension between Trina and her music manager.

William deVry to Appear on ‘Tracker’ Season 4; Shuts Down Rumors of a ‘General Hospital’ Return
William deVry addressed the rumors of his imminent return to General Hospital as Julian Jerome, which have popped up recently as click bait on websites or in video reels.
The soap opera veteran set the record straight when he took to Instagram to share a video of all that he’s been up to lately, and how fans catch him on multiple upcoming shows. Chief among them appearing in Justin Hartley’s (ex-Adam, Y&R and ex-Fox, Passions) drama series Tracker on CBS during its upcoming 4th season.
As deVry closed out his video message, he took a moment to confirm once and for all, “I am not coming back to General Hospital.” The last time viewers saw Julian on the Port Charles canvas, he was being zipped in a body bag after being shot in December of 2020, which ended deVry’s six-year-run on the soap.
Daytime fans also know that before his time on General Hospital, deVry played Michael Cambias on All My Children (2003-2004) and Storm Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful. (2006-2008).

TRACKER SEASON 4 HAS SEVERAL SOAP OPERA ALUMS
Coming up on Tracker, William is set to appear in episode 5 that airs in early November, where he is playing a bad guy. That’s the same episode that marks the return of another soap alum, Jensen Ackles (ex-Eric, Days of our Lives) as Russell Shaw, the brother of Hartley’s Colter Shaw.
Tracker premieres on Sunday, October 4 with its season premiere episode entitled “Safe Harbor,” launching Colter into a port-side case.
Before William is seen on Tracker, you can check him out next week in the movie Spill which drops on September 20 on Apple TV and Amazon Prime. That is followed on October 10, when the GH alum appears in Lifetime’s Movie of the Week, The Monster She Married, alongside Matthew Morrison (ex-Glee).

RATINGS: ‘Beyond the Gates’ Bests ‘General Hospital’ in Key Demos and Gains More Viewers Week-Over-Week
The ratings are out for the week of August 31- September 4, 2026 and it was a solid one for daytime’s youngest daytime drama, Beyond the Gates, now taping its third season.
According to the latest Nielsen report via Soap Opera Network, Beyond the Gates saw a rise in total viewers, tied with third place General Hospital in Households, and overtook GH in the women’s 18-49 and 25-54 ratings share putting them firmly in the number three spot.
Let’s take a look at the drama that had viewers tuning-in to the action in and around Fairmont Crest: Andre (Sean Freeman) kissed Heather (Ashley Jones) before leaving for Seoul with Dani (Karla Mosley).

Meanwhile, Heather figured out that her brother Joey (Jon Lindstrom) killed Doug. Hayley (Marquita Goings) poisoned Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) yet again and left him unconscious. Jacob (Jibre Hordges) and Smitty (Mike Manning) made progress in the Impaler investigation, and the Articulettes had to deal with Leslie’s (Trisha Mann-Grant) interference.
As for the numbers, Beyond the Gates came in with an average of 1,677.000 total viewers and gained +66,000 for the week, with total household share at 1.2 up +1, and the key demos: 18-49 rating share of 0.20 up +0.07 from the previous week and 25-54 rating share at 0.29 also up +0.07.

GENERAL HOSPITAL
Over at General Hospital, the ABC soap opera was the only show to lose viewers for the week of all four broadcast network television daytime dramas. GH came in with an average total viewers tally at 1,911,000, but lost -24,000 and was now only up year-over-year +27,000.
In story for the ratings week: Ava (Maura West) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) buried Brennan (Chris McKenna) on the ground around the Quartermaine estate, and Drew framed Nina (Cynthia Watros) for the crime by planting Brennan’s wallet in her car.
Chase (Josh Swickard) aggressively pursued the investigation of Jordan’s (Tanisha Harper) car crash which led him to confronting Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). Trina (Tabyana Ali) overheard information suggesting Brook Lynn might be tied to the incident and later got an earful.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
CBS daytime’s The Bold and the Beautiful, which has been on a great run in the ratings of late, came in with total viewers at 2,778,000 adding +59,000, and up year-over-year at this time +312,000. B&B was firmly in the #2 position in households, plus 18-49 and 25-54 demos, behind its sister soap Y&R.
In story for the ratings week: Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) struggled to hide her affair with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) from Finn (Tanner Novlan), and Carter did the same in trying to keep it under wraps from Daphne (Murielle Hilaire). In addition, Darcy (Kelly Sullivan) arrived in Los Angeles and stood up to Katie (Heather Tom) for her treatment of her daughter, Dylan (Sydney Bullock).

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS
The top spot once again belonged to The Young and the Restless. In fact, Y&R gained the most viewers week-over-week adding +127,000 with its total viewer average at 3,189,000 tuning-in. In addition, it was also up year-over-year +327,000. Y&R also was #1 for the ratings week in households and in the 18-49 and 25-54 demos.
In story for the ratings week: Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) thought of a plan for Matt (Roger Howarth) to return to Genoa City. Fox) by his side, and while in rehab, Nick (Joshua Morrow) helped Marie (Jade Harlow) after her frightening confrontation with her abusive husband, Logan (Tommy Walker).
