TNT’s Dallas season three two-hour season finale has now aired on all time zones, and we will give you a recap of the big storylines and cliffhangers in a post tomorrow morning to get your feedback on that!

SPOILER Alert forthcoming!  Don’t read on if you have not seen the season three finale, but plan to watch!

Following the conclusion of the West Coast airing tonight, Dallas star Jesse Metcalfe (Christopher) sent out a heartfelt tweet to his followers, fans, and colleagues.  As had been promoted in the series promos and hashtag leading up to the finale that “One Ewing will die!”, it certainly came true! In the final moments of the show, Christopher perished when the car he was in waiting for Elena in, blew up thanks to a bomb! It was curtains for good guy Christopher!

With that, Metcalfe, the former Passions star, tweeted “What a finale!!! I want to thank everyone who’s supported me over the years and all the incredibly loyal @Dallas_TNT fans. You’re the best! #Ripchristopher”

So what did you think of the ending of Dallas tonight and the sudden death of Christopher? Did you think he would be the Ewing to be killed-off?   Weigh-in below!

I thought maybe he didn,t go out to the car and hoped he wasn’t,t in there. Why did he leave the show? I was a big fan of the original show years ago ,but this new Dallas is just as intense and more with the story lines .I hope there is another season, I love this show

I hate that they killed him off the show i thought for sure it was gonna be John Ross. And that he has a sister he has to find and that Elena is with child and dont know who the dad is, its gonna be a damn good show if it comes back on the air which i think it should.

I’m not convinced! I think it was someone else getting in the car and in the season 4 premier, Christopher will run out of the store. It will be played out as if it was a car thief or something like that. It was just too suspicious how they did not show his face while he was walking toward the car parked away from the store. It was also sort of dark where the car was parked. Christopher is too much of an important character to be killed off….

I really hope this is like the episode where Bobby died. So many fans were upset that they brought him back and had his death be a dream.

I think too many people will be upset that anyone had to die, They are all too good and have major storylines! I was hoping for Elena and Christopher to get back together.

Also, didn’t JR sleep with Sue Ellen’s sister, Kristen? Perhaps she had a baby before she was killed off.

Totally and completely agree with your response. It’s exactly what I thought. HOPE we’re right!

I agree,,like JR being shot in the original series. I think he will be back..We will see how it plays out.

I want to know who planted the car bomb?

I don’t believe he’s dead either. I predict someone else was in the car and Christopher will wind up alive.

I agree. It was too ambiguous. If they wanted it to be conclusive, they would have made it conclusive. Also, in the scene just before the explosion, Christopher is wearing a checkered shirt. The guy getting into the car appears to be wearing a solid shirt. Rewatched a few times just to be sure.

TONY: Have you seen the show? Nicholas ordered/arranged the explosion because he wanted Chris out of the way. He could see that Chris was ready to get involved with Elena again and he wants her for himself. If you want a realistic prediction, despite the number of times he and Elena did the nasty, it’s gonna be that one night with J-R that got her preggers. Just wait for the DNA test next season. If there is one.

Sue Ellen’s sister did have a child. That child was Christopher who Bobby and his first wife Pam adopted.

I’m also not sure he was in the car. It would be out of character for Christopher to leave the store without Elena. He’s too much of a gentleman! I hope he’s not off the show!

I believe there will be a similar car in the parking lot. Remember Elaina was a little dazed coming out. I think she was maybe walking to the wrong car. He will come running up to her and ask if she is alright.

I agree and I’ve watched a few times and after it shows Ellena walking out to the car you hear a door close, I’m assuming that was Christopher getting out of the car to go get Ellena,

No, Christopher should not have perished. I was tired of the cartel story line. In the original series, not one of the cast was killed, except for Pamela, & she returned later. So, as for me, I will no longer support the series. Dumb move on the writers part IMHO.

Very Depressing Ending On Tonight’s Dallas–Sigh! 🙁

should have killed Sue Ellen she is nothing but a drunk. What does she do??

Worst ending ever! Bad move…Bobby will be so devastated he’ll barely function, leaving bad boy John Ross to rule the roost along with his newly discovered sister, who I assume is JR and Callie’s offspring. This has ruined the whole Dallas saga and I think it will lose a lot of viewers – I’m not sure I want to watch any more.

I totally agree with you

I totally agree! Christopher was my favorite character. How could they get rid of the only
sweetheart in the bunch!! Let’s hope it’s a trick.

I thought JR & Callie had a son???

Remember, Bobby had a biological son with Jenna Wade named Lucas. JR had several chances to have children with Angelica Nero and Mandy Winger who got a big time modeling job in Switzerland supposedly (she probably was pregnant).

YES, JR and Calle had a son. But I disagree. Next season will bring in a new rivalry. Christopher was rather boring and really didn’t have have that much of a solid storyline since Bobby basically held him incheck and John Ross ended up stealing his thunder. BRING ON SEASON 5, CAN’T WAIT!

JR & Callie had a son. Bobby & Jenna Wade had a son named Lucas. I never got involved with Dallas on TNT after Bobby came back in a dream on the original Dallas I lost interest.

Valerie. This is one person who will neber watch another episode!!!!!

Sorry meant to lynne. This is one person who will never watch the show anymore! Writer’s will regret taking christopher off the show, and ratings are certain to go down. Anyway’s i’am sick of watching a show that only shows 6 or 7 new shows, and then goes off the air. Don’t need that!!!

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

there were 16 episodes this season not 6 or 7

I think that Bobby will go crazy and become the new JR. He will take them all down.

AGREE COMPLETELY!

Worst ending ever!! Christopher will be misssed !! & whats is w/ 6 or 7 episodes & season finale already..A great show that is becoming a waste to watch !!

again there were 16 episodes in season 3 not 6 or 7

This season was 15 episodes. They just stopped airing during the summer. If you look on TNTdrama.com under Dallas, you’ll verify this. A lot of people vacation during the summer. I don’t like it either and I wish they’d bring back the old scheduling. Start in September and go through till the end of Spring.

That was a wrong move they made killing Christopher. Somebody have to be cool and calm in a family. what are they going to have, a bunch of ruthless people and no nice people?
They better read what the fans are saying. BRING CHRISTOPHER BACK!

was he written out or did he elect to leave? It was nice to have another good guy aside from Bobby.

Hey left the show to pursue other projects

From what I have read, it sounds to me like the show wanted to kill off the character. It’s common to say they wanted to pursue other projects, but I don’t think it was the actor’s choice to leave.

OMG! I can’t believe the writers killed off Christopher’s character. I have been a Dallas fan for so many years and still watch the original Dallas over and over again. I thought John Ross and Christopher would be JR and Bobby all over again for many seasons to come. I am so shocked and disappointed he is Bobby’s only son. How could the writers kill him off, why not Nicolas or Emma someone that was not that important from the original Dallas? Jesse Metcalfe did a wonderful job with the character. I will miss him dearly and I am so sorry that he will no longer be there to battle John Ross and love one another at the same time just like JR and Bobby did!

I can’t believe he died. They needed a man that had a good heart, compassion and sensitivity to all the Hell bound family. They needed him to break up the monotony of being bad. Now it has no “Mr. Goody Two Shoes” I have been watching it since I was 16. To have a mixture of both traits made it exciting. He was a great guy. Stood up for himself! Being good isn’t a gift it is having a good heart like him. Good Luck Christopher Ewing! Ur parents raised u right!

I think they will have another character play christopher. He will have been burned and it will explain why another actor portrays his character. Jesse Metcalfe must’ve wanted to leave so this is the way they will explain another actor playing his part. Hope I’m right.

I was blown away by the season finale of Dallas (TNT). I had no idea it would be “Christopher Ewing” to be the one to die, nor do I recall reading that Jesse Metcalfe was leaving the tv series and why would he? At this point I don’t believe “Christopher” is dead. Christopher did say he would take care of everything. So maybe they did a switcheroo. They changed cars? A decoy looking like Christopher went into the car? Christopher is actually behind the building waiting in a new car? Just guessing.

Hmm, interesting theory, I like your logic. I’m hoping the same thing, he was a main character and I was blown away at the season finale as well. I don’t remember them showing his face, I do remember seeing the back, so this could very well be a twist. WOW, I wasn’t expecting him, but knew they weren’t going to kill off John Ross. I’m curious to see who the new Ewing sister will be, and who’s her mother. I like how they are continuing to honor J.R. Ewing after the death of Larry Hagman.

I have to agree don’t believe they killed him off he’s a main character.

Did the license plates say Ewing on them? I think he was still in the store…I hope anyway. Elena and Christopher belong together. I think Jesse’s tweet was just to throw us off!

That is an excellent idea. He did say he would take care of everything. Maybe he did set up that decoy so he could get Elena out safely but would he have had time to do that?
I sure hope Dallas pulled a fast one on us because all will be forgiven if Christopher did NOT get killed off!!!!!!!

They guy going into the car doesn’t appear to be wearing the same shirt Christopher was shown wearing as he spoke with Elena from outside the bathroom door. Just sayin’.

Christopher was my guess as the Ewing who would die. I haven’t watched the finale yet. I will catch it on Demand.

He probably didn’t die; it was just a teaser. He’ll probably be back next season.

Just like his mom (Pam) when she had the accident. And, went under the semi. The car blew up. Same thing. But, this time he will survive it. After, treatments. I don’t know why this would happen. If it does. And, he dies. He’s gone to be with his mothers Kristen Sheppard and Pamela Barnes Ewing

Is he willing for a return to daytime…Days is hiring someone in around his age for a new role?

His character christopher isn’t dead because not here was no body in the car when it blew up.

If it’s true, it’s a gutsy move. Truly, all we saw was a shadowy figure get into the car that we thought was Christopher. It could have been someone else. I think they kept it purposely vague in waiting to see if the show would be renewed for another season. I hope it is renewed!

Wasn’t the Christopher vs John Ross conflict a central theme behind the reboot? This Dallas isn’t nearly as much fun as the original. Too much business, too many double crosses, too, too complicated. Give me the Ewing barbecue, the Oil Barron’s Ball and a couple of women who hate each other and meet in front of the ladies room mirror all dressed up.

I agree completely. Al the business storylines are sickening.

I agree,. Original Dallas much better. This reboot was ok for a while but the story lines have gotten bizarre…away from oil or cattle and into drugs. There never was so much murder in the originals. I agree…give me a good dunking in the pool at the bbq and back talking at the oil barron’s ball. Not looking forward to next season whenever that is.

Totally agree. The original Dallas was fun, not so dark. I am watching the originals on DVD and the fashions are fun to look back on. I doubt we would look back at this new series like we do the original and laugh about the clothes etc. I think to be a true reboot there should be more story lines that involve past characters.
It just doesn’t feel right. Watching the originals makes you feel like you are back home. This new one has too much Mexican influence, drugs and violence.
There are no happy scenes….Give me the bbq and oil barrens ball, ranch scenes and personal talks between the characters not just backstabbing and lies.
They are wasting Linda Grey on placing her in scenes where she offers a few words or mouth movements-it feels like she is only on the show so they can call it Dallas again. Such a waste of talent and she still looks good.
Not sure I will keep watching next season, I might just keep watching the old series on DVD over and over to get my Southfork fix because this show isn’t worth my time.

I agree. Nothing beats the original Dallas, and the biggest thrill I get from the show is from the opening title and music. JR used to produce the same thrill, but RIP.

As for the car explosion, I’m torn: conventional wisdom says it’s a cliffhanger ploy and the title character will be back. Also, it’s hard for Hollywood to keep a secret, and killing off his character would’ve leaked out while auditioning for other roles. On the other hand, this new Dallas was about the good and evil of two generations: JR/Bobby and John Ross/Christopher. He’s death was unexpected and changed everything about the direction of the show. Part of me thinks that with evil JR gone and good Bobby still alive, getting rid of Christopher makes it a mano a mano good vs evil story again (Bobby vs John Ross), with John Ross promising he’ll be “worse” than JR. It would make for a tighter show, at least.

Either scenario works for me honestly…I’m attracted to the classic characters from the original series. I still pray each night that Victoria Principal is watching the show, seething with jealousy, and will eventually beg to have Pamela brought back. Amen…lol

How can they kill Christopher? It would not be Dallas if two Ewing offspring, John Ross and Christopher, were not there to play off each other–good vs. evil. The original Dallas would have never lasted 10+ years without JR vs. Bobby! I hope Cynthia knows this and fixes it before they return.

Anybody else feel the same?

Absolutely agree the whole point is the next generation of Ewing vs. Ewing Now what? Sorry to say but I think it should’ve been a Ewing who isn’t as important such as Ann or Pamela No offense ladies but the show could go on without either of them. And their both very good actresses so they could find other work. I too watched the original Dallas and it was all about JR vs. Bobby and the love triangles. I was shocked and disappointed. However I hope there is a season 4 I will probably watch it to see what happens and I love my DALLAS.

Hoped it was Ann, there is no chemistry between Bobby and Ann

AGREED!

I agree, this was the central theme for the new show. I was anticipating another rivalary between John Ross and Christopher, similar to JR and Bobbby on the original series. I’m curious to see who’s the new Ewing sister?? I also hope they renew for a 4th season. If renewed, please do not have them airing on Monday nights. One of the reason for low ratings is that there’s too much competition. Have them air in the summer time, when there’s nothing on, not the Spring and Fall on the same night as “The Voice” and “Dancing with the Stars.” Just a thought. Then, maybe ratings will improve. That was a sad ending to a very entertaining finale, loved the Judith/JR alliance, that’s going to be fun to watch, if renewed for a 4th season.

I would agree if there weren’t so many people gunning for John Ross right now–Bobby, Sue Ellen, Ryland, and Pamela– seems a bit of an over kill to throw Christopher into the mix. My hope is Christopher has gone to work undercover for the CIA to bring down the Mexican cartel now being run by Nicholas. Faking a death is something the CIA would do–and if this show lasts a recast Christopher could emerge maybe in season five—-but as to your point I think the original concept of the show was to pit cousin against cousin– but after’s JR death I think Bobby took on more importance and it then became about Bobby vs John Ross, rather than Christopher–

I was not pleased. I guess they had to do something if Metcalfe was leaving but I think they should have preserve the Christopher character by having him leave for a bit and come back as another handsome hunk. It’s not like Metcalfe was an actor that couldn’t be replaced like Larry Hagman,. Nobody could play JR! The conflict between John Ross and Christopher was as organic to the show as the conflict between JR and Bobby. I think they made a mistake but who cares what I think? I am just a lowly fan

I said if it was either Bobby or Christopher that I am done with Dallas. I am done I will not watch Dallas again!!

I totally agree. They killed off one of my favorite characters. I do not care if there is a season 4 because I will not be watching.

then don’t watch im sure loyal fans will support the show there’s no confirmation he is even dead never saw his face

Maybe it was all a dream and Bobby will wake up and find Christopher in the shower…lol

That wicked sense humor of yours strikes again– that was hilarious.

OMG!!!! Not Christopher?! Excellent show. Anxiously awaiting renewal. Although I will miss Christopher and the good guy/bad boy dynamic between Cristopher & John Ross. So many great cliffhangers they MUST come back for season 4!

I wonder was this season or series end. With the loss Christopher I cannot see there being another season. The three major actors in my opinion are Bobby, Christopher, and John Ross Jr. Being this is still fairly new compared to the original series. Although one can argue we lost jock, and the show went on.

No!! never thought he would be the one. this car blowing up he can still be alive! if you payed close attention to the end when he was looking for Elana we did not no if he went back into the car they did not show that. I love Dallas and you always hope things will go your way when watching. if he is gone Christopher you will be missed.

It did show christopher going back to the car and getting in the car. He already has said he planned to leave the show, and thanks to all his fans for watching,

I love the show it had a surprise ending so sad to see Christopher go he truly tried to bring peace in the family

I thought it was an odd death – in that, it was shot in a way that would leave one to believe they could get out of it (no closeups, no on screen last breath acting extravaganza), and yet, the way it was framed leaves little plausible chance that it wasn’t Christopher in the car. I guess if there was a death, I expected a Bobby-gets-hit-by-a-car kind of thing, not a could-have-been-an-extra getting in the car before it explodes kind of thing. For a major role on the show, it was one step removed from an off-screen death.

And killing off one of the leads of the show, one of the legacy Ewing characters seems short sighted. It was a Guza-move – one seemingly done for shock, with little regard to the foundation or future of the show (if it actually has one; still don’t know if it was renewed – I suspect the ratings for last nights episode will play a role).

It also only leaves one male lead character in that age group on the show – with three women in that age group circling him. Are we getting a male Ewing cousin next season? Maybe Gary and Valen’s son (she did have twins didn’t she)? The ratio of male to female characters on this show is out of whack (which, might be fair; the original show had the opposite problem, particularly in the later years; too many male characters, too few female characters – well, female charters of any real weight).

I think Christopher should survive the car bomb, come back strong and a better opponent to John Ross. Make him a strong powerful ambition driven business man.

i am hoping that it will NOT be true. Christopher has repeated his mothers (almost) demise. I would have preferred Ann to be the one, (no offence to the actress). I don’t feel that Christopher was to correct choice. After following the original Dallas for all of the years it was on, and watching Bobby and JR play off of each other, I feel that this series needed Christopher and John Ross to do the same. VERY DISAPPOINTED . I will continue to watch it, but, will not be the same. They need to fix this.

Jesse Metcalfe wanted to leave the show, that’s why they did that. However, they still could have him just end up badly burned, then he would need facial reconstruction, and hire someone else to play Christopher, but I don’t think they are going to do that since they specifically said they were killing off one of the Ewing’s.

Also, I think that’s why they are going to find John Ross’s sister next season, and she will end up being his adversary.

It was a toss between Christopher and Ann. Ann could have been lost in a rescue attempt because it was obvious that Bobby was going to choose Emma first. Once the writers had Elena and John Ross sleep together we knew there was a possibility for pregnancy which would require John Ross to survive the finale. That only left the Christopher character vulnerable.

NO! I hope it’s not true. I love Christopher. If Jesse wants to leave the show, then replace him with another great looking young man!

I LOVE THE SHOW AND I AM A HUGE FAN OF JESSE’S AND JOHN ROSS. IT WAS A GREAT SEASON FINALE BUT I AM SO DISAPPOINTED. WHY DID THEY HAVE TO TAKE CHRISTOPHER HE AND JOHN ROSS MAKES THE SHOW LIKE JR AND BOBBY MADE IT BACK THEN WITHOUT CHRIS I JUST DONT SEE IT BEING LIKE THE DALLAS I HOPE IT WOULD BE..
LOVE YOU JESSE AND RIP CHRISTOPHER

Very DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No ONE needed to DIE……………………
My Opinion is that he was thrown from the car out over the top and HE ISN”T
DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! SURE Hope that I’m CORRECT………….. Unless Jesse Metcalfe wanted to leave he shouldn’t have been WRITTEN OUT………………….. Like I said, VERY DISAPPOINTED……………………..

Jesse Metcalfe wanted to leave the show to pursue other things. Plus, he didn’t have much going on this season. I think that’s why they are having John Ross find his sister, so she will be his new adversary. It was hard losing of the most important characters two years in a row! RIP to Christopher, and a big miss you and RIP to J.R.!

PURSUE WHAT? He was already on a good show. What’s his problem? It’s hard out there, a lot of competition.

Dallas will not be the same .you need a good guy in every show!

if you kill off the good guy whats then left to counter the bad? i disappointed Christopher was killed off, i don’t feel like there will be any repercussion for his death, he will be mourn for one or two episodes then the family will go back to stabbing each other on the back.

I agree…Christopher was the good balance. Get rid of Emma…totally not needed nor any of the Ryland clan….Love Judith Light but that whole story line is dumb. The show is supposed to be about oil and maybe cattle..not drug cartels and so much murder.

So true! Too much business and drug dealing. I want to see people working in the office and then going to a dance or a bar, something fun.

Get rid of those mexican drug dealers.

I was very sad, for I wanted Christopher to finally end up happy. Very sad…
Wanted John Ross, to get what is coming, but why Chistopher?

It sucks they made him die I hope he not really dead & he comes back.

I did not think he was the one to be killed off… It was def a sad shocker that he is leaving the show. would have thought it would be one of the Vet actors since the show has been established now with the new generation of ewings. It def was a great Season Finale.

You don’t have a future for your show if you lose your fan base. Wakeup Dallas writers!!

looks like TNT is going to cancel the show….if TNT wanted cousin vs. cousin, like JR vs Bobby, they just killed off the good guy. HUGE fan of old and new Dallas, I too hope that it wasn’t Christopher in the car

The writers messed this one up.

Well I wasn’t surprise I thought it would be him because at the moment Christopher has outlived his usefulness as a character. There are enough characters going after John Ross– Bobby, Sue Ellen, Pamela and now Ryland, adding Christopher in there is redundant.

I believe in season one the idea was the battle would between the two cousins, and Bobby wasn’t supposed to to be so front and center. But that changed and now it is more about Bobby vs John Ross, and Christopher was Bobby’s sidekick, but not the main opponent.

Of course that doesn’t mean Christopher will stay dead— the car exploding without really knowing who was it in is a classic soap ploy– but next season if there is a next season I doubt we will see Christopher– yet if the character was to ever come back, my guess they will say he went undercover for the CIA and they staged the explosion, so everyone would think he was dead including Nicholas who the CIA wants to bring down because he is now the new Mexican Crime Lord.

Dumb move killing Christopher. He’s, Bobby’s only allie. Sue Ellen swings back and forth. Now John Ross has a sister ?! Come on. Christipher and John Ross are the next feneration ewings. I think it was a dumb move. Emma would’ve been a better choice. I guess there’s ucould always redeem yourself by having Christophet come out of the stire after Elena. I mean would did have a whole season dream sequence with Pamela and Bobby. Even if Hesse Metcalf does not want come back you coukd use the explosion ti have him get plastic surgery. Jyst saying really bad move.

Oh My GOSH!!! I didn’t want him to go!! Are you sure he was really in the car? Maybe he wasn’t!! Only, if!! I’ve been trying to figure out all week which Ewing was going and couldn’t imagine moving forward without any of them!! I am going to miss Christopher Ewing in the story line.

He was upset because Josh Henderson was the main character. It was an ego thing, so he decided to leave the show.

My mom loves the show but she was stunned and dissapointed that Christopher was killed. She hopes that he really isn’t dead because she said because the John Ross and Christopher dynamic reminded her of JR and Bobby from the original Dallas.

Christopher is needed to keep John Ross in line. The whole point is the next generation of Ewing vs. Ewing Now what? Sorry to say but I think it should’ve been a Ewing who isn’t as important such as Ann or Pamela No offense ladies. Their both very good actresses so they could find other work. I watched the original Dallas and it was all about JR vs. Bobby and the love triangles. I was shocked and disappointed. However I hope there is a season 4 I will probably watch it to see what happens and I love my DALLAS.

I bet it was a car thief that got killed. Also, expect Elena to get an abortion or think about it. Of course J.R. has a daughter- didn’t he have one by Cally Harper?

I was thinking the same thing! They are negotiating a new salary with Jesse and did the car blow-up like his mother (and like Bobby came back) then when season 4 starts, he’s going to run out from the bathroom wondering why Ellena is screaming hysterically! LOL and it was a car thief. So Jesse I hope you get the pay raise you’re looking for as the show just wouldn’t be the same without one level headed person on their besides Bobby!

No abortion for the Catholic girl!!

Please let Christopher live!!! Maybe the CIA got him out of the care or Nicholas took him as hostage and blew up the car. If you kill of Christopher I will no longer watch Dallas and I have been a fan since the original Dallas aired.

Wow…eh at a way to kill a show. The whole point of this Dallas wad the new generation. Dumb move

I am so disappointed. Christopher was my favorite character. I started watching the show because he was going to be in it. I don’t know if I will continue to watch. This was the worst possible ending!!

Say it isn’t so. Christopher will be missed. He gave John Ross a run for the money every now and then, just like JR and Bobby used to do.

I was not expecting this, he is a good actor and they should have done something different. He could have gone somewhere else and then come back later, but once your dead your dead there is no coming back. Its going to be sad when it comes back on and Christopher is not there. So I think they could have done a better show.

It should have been Emma she’s sort of a Ewing by her mother’s marriage.

I’m done with the show if they kill of the good guy!

Stinks… come on people… Dallas: the next generation without the NEXT generation is kinda foolish.
But I am all for misdirection.
“Yeah sure he’s dead. You saw his car blow up.” Then he shows up in season 4. Just kidding, the CIA was tracking us all and watched a dude load my car with a bomb.

I had really hoped it would be an expendable character, like Emma. I grew up with Christopher and John Ross. 🙁

Lifetime’s ‘Ladies of the ’80s: A Divas Christmas’ Brings Epic Food Fight and “Slapfest Coup de Grâce”

Get ready for the feuding soap opera divas, when five actresses known for their signature primetime and daytime roles are brought together in Lifetime’s new holiday film, Ladies of the ’80s: A Divas Christmas.

Saturday night, December 2nd on Lifetime (8pm ET/7PM CT) marks the highly-anticipated holiday movie premiere featuring: Donna Mills (ex-Knots Landing), Nicolette Sheridan (ex-Knots Landing), Morgan Fairchild (ex-Falcon Crest et al), Linda Gray (ex-Dallas) and Loni Anderson (ex-WKRP in Cincinnati).

Here’s what we do know! In story, five alums from the long-running soap, The Great Lakes reunite for a live Christmas finale. Uh-oh!  Now take a look at the backstory of the colorful cast of characters (pay special attention to the clever twists on the actresses names!)

Photo: Lifetime

LAUREN EWING (Linda Gray) “Everyone thinks I’m so damn good all the time,” confesses the junk food-loving Lauren of her second act as a lifestyle guru. “I don’t know how Gwenyth Paltrow does it!”

DANA CUNNINGHAM (Donna Mills) Now a sitcom mom, she’s yet to make amends to ex-bestie Juliette after abruptly leaving the soap back in the day. Not that she hasn’t tried: “When I thought the world was going to end in Y2K,” Dana says, “I reached out to her, and she never called me back.”

LILY MARLOWE (Loni Anderson) After replacing Dana on ‘Great Lakes’, Lily never again found a role to win her acclaim. “What do I have to show for (my career)? An arc on  For the People – Shonda Rhimes’ only flop!”

JULIETTE MATHESON (Nicollette Sheridan) “She left me for L.A.,” the party girl turned fashion mogul recalls of Dana’s betrayal. Will their feud derail the entire event?

MARGEAUX ROBERTS (Morgan Fairchild) “Fasten your face-lifts, ladies, it’s gonna be a bumpy weekend!” The sassy grande dame of ‘Great Lakes’ sees the Juliette-Dana beef as the perfect escape from her own domestic drama.

Now, making this all the more hysterical is the director of The Great Lakes reunion special, which makes the five women live under the same roof, is its former child star Alex, who has gotten his ex-girlfriend, Nell to direct the finale. Meanwhile, in the subplot. the ‘Ladies of the ’80s’ come up with a plan to get Alex and Nell back together.

As with any good soap opera, there is a major food fight. Linda Gray shared with USA Today ,”The food fight was one take. And it was fabulous.” And of course, their is a bitch-fest slap-fest. Morgan Fairchild revealed, “Oh honey, we all got ours in. Mine was a simple, ‘How dare you?’ with a slap. But I was hoping for a punch.”

The movie’s EP, Larry Thompson, who is a Hollywood manager and has Donna Mills as a client, said that the entire scene peaks with the”slapfest coup de grâce.” What is that exactly? That is when Donna Mills pushes Nicollette Sheridan into a pool in a nod to Dynasty’s Lily bond battle between Dynasty’s Alexis (Joan Collins) and Krystle (Linda Evans).

In case you missed it previously, check out the trailer for Ladies of the ’80s: A Divas Christmas below, also starring Patrika Darbo, Alec Mapa, Mills real-life daughter, Chloe Mills, and Christopher Atkins with theme song by Tiffany.

Now let us know, will you be tuning in to the movie for a premise that should delight many a longtime soap fan? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
