The rumors have finally been confirmed Andrea Evans is is returning to daytime and The Young and the Restless. Evans will show up in Genoa City as Tawny Moore, the trailer-trash mama she created on The Bold and the Beautiful in 1999. Evans’ return will last be for one episode which airs May 12.  What brings Tawny to Genoa City?  To find her daughter Amber, and according to this report from TV Guide Magazine, Tawny will duke it out with Phyllis, played by Michelle Stafford.  Here is an excerpt from Evans on the big catfight!

Evans on the Tawny vs. Phyllis Smackdown: ” It’ll be dueling redheads! Tawny and Phyllis are both strong, confrontational women and their scenes together are so much fun. It was great being back on my old stomping grounds. This brings together all of my favorite jobs—Y&R, B&B and, in a way, One Life to Live. The only thing missing here is Passions!”

I love Andrea Evans! Her return to Daytime was so hyped, and deservedly so when she portrayed Tawney. She stole all the scenes w/ ease between her and Frantz. Tawney was a lot more entertaining than Amber ever was! Remember all of Tawney’s gulps and deer in the headlights expressions whenever they’d almost get caught? She was such a fun piece of white trash, unlike Amber, who was just plain trashy and annoying!

It was so great when Tawney called Brooke a “mean grandma” when they first brought Little Eric back from Furnace Creek! And Brooke had a “You did not just call me grandma” expression on her face! LOL! The rivalry w/ Brooke was really good, and the funny part was everyone was fooled by Amber, including Steph, and only Brooke had her number! And remember how idiotic the writers were when all the characters found out Amber slept w/ Raymond? They all thought if the baby is white complexioned, it’s Rick’s! How stupid was Bell?

There were rumors they’d pair Tawney w/ Eric. Eric w/ a white trash Tawney, how great would that have been? Instead it was Amber this, Amber that. They had that fantastic scene w/ tawney living it up in the forrester mansion, lounging by the pool in her leopard print bathing suit. And Bell had to pin the baby switch on Tawney so Amber could be “redeemed”. How stupid of Bell to keep a hated char like Amber, while neglect a Daytime icon like Andrea Evans!

I guess this means Talk Soup fave Kyle Lowder is finally getting a storyline. Yuck! They need to recast Rick. I’d rather Tawney return to B&B instead of Amber, and there are too many women on B&B! They should remove Thomas, Oliver, Aggie, Donna and Rick if he’s portrayed by Lowder, to make room for Tawney. Let her steal Eric from Donna, and battle w/ Steph!

Bell is so dumb for keeping Frantz’s return unofficial. This is like the worst kept secret in Daytime. Frantz confirmed on a board she’s leaving Y&R for a show, Ashley jones tweeted she shared scenes w/ BLEEP and Frantz was in the freaking B&B cast party! Can they please reveal that Nick is Amber’s biological father? That’ll create more drama w/ Nick and Bridget, and make Tawney more neccessary on B&B.

I agree, the role Andrea Evans played as Tawny Moore was awesome. The scene
where she was lounging by the pool great. The bathing suit she was wearing was
not leopard print, it was some kind of sparkling print. Any way she looked absolutely gorgeous.

I think it is great that Andrea Evans, is returning to “The Young and The Restless.
Andrea Evans is a very beautiful and talented actress.

REPORT: Nicholas Chavez Not Returning to General Hospital

For those who were holding out hope that Daytime Emmy winner and fan favorite, Nicholas Chavez would be returning to General Hospital after filming his leading role in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters anthology, it looks like those hopes have been dashed.

According to a report from TV Line, although unconfirmed from General Hospital or a representative for Chavez, the actor will not reprise his role as Spencer Cassadine on the long-running ABC soap opera and continue the love story of Sprina opposite Tabyana Ali (Trina, GH).

Chavez was cast as Lyle Menendez over the the summer of 2023 for the second season of Murphy’s limited Monsters series on Netflix. In the upcoming season, the series will focus on the the case of Lyle and Erik Menendez, the two well-to-do Beverly Hills brothers accused of murdering their parents in 1989.

After word from Chavez casting was revealed, GH fans were concerned over the fate of the Sprina story, a spokesperson for GH shared,  “We support Nicholas’ endeavors and look forward to having him return to General Hospital once this project is wrapped.”

In story, the series “killed off” Spencer when he went overboard with Esme to the steely waters below after being injected with a drug, thanks to Esme and falling into the Seine River in France. However, his body was never recovered, and believed to have drowned or washed away. Thus, leaving an opening for Spencer to return in the form of Chavez or be recast down the line.

TV Line shared that ‘multiple sources’ are confirming that Chavez is not returning to the ABC soap opera, which is what many had suspected might be the case once he left for this major starring role in a Ryan Murphy project. Chavez has been relatively quiet on social media for months.

The Michael Fairman Channel spoke with Nicholas Chavez for a virtual interview when he first joined the show in 2021, and spoke to him right after when he won the Daytime Emmy in 2022 – you can see those below.
