Ashleigh Brewer Joins The Cast Of The Bold and The Beautiful As Ivy Forrester!

Casting news today out of the number one international soap opera, and CBS Daytime’s The Bold and the Beautiful!
Keeping with their reach around the globe, the series announced today that none other than former Neighbors star, Australian actress Ashleigh Brewer has been cast in the newly created role of Ivy Forrester! Just who is Ivy Forrester? She is the niece of series patriarch Eric Forrester played by John McCook!
Brad Bell, the executive producer and head writer of B&B, plans to introduce Ashleigh next month in Monte Carlo at the Golden Nymph Awards were the series is vying for its 9th prize!
Bell stated: “We are thrilled to introduce Ashleigh at the festival, whose poise and talent are already well known in Australia and the UK. Ivy is the daughter of Eric’s younger brother, John Forrester, who has been living in Sydney. A young, worldly designer, Ivy is brought in to work on the new Hope for the Future jewelry line. It won’t be long before she finds herself deeply entangled in the lives and loves of our younger generation.”
Brewer will make her first appearance on the series in the U.S. in early July. Meanwhile in Monaco, B&B will shoot episodes on June 9th and 9th! Who’s wedding will it be?

‘Brilliant Minds’ Officially Canceled After 2 Seasons at NBC; DAYS Alum Al Calderon, OLTL Alum Teddy Sears and Zachary Quinto Among the Cast
After languishing on the bubble for months, on Friday, NBC handed down the decision and canceled the medical drama Brilliant Minds after two seasons.
Brilliant Minds stars Zachary Quinto as neurology physician Oliver Wolf, who’s character and the series is inspired by the life and books of neurologist. Oliver Sacks. The series focuses on the medical mysteries of the mind, as Wolf a larger-than-life neurologist and his team of interns explore the last great frontier, the human mind, while grappling with their own relationships and mental health.
The final six episodes of what will now be the end of its second and final season were already set to air beginning on May 27, after being pulled off the network schedule in February as viewership saw a steep decline. Brilliant Minds second season became the lowest-rated drama on linear TV viewing, which didn’t bode well fo a network renewal, although it had its hard core fan base.

There are some exceptional notables in the cast along with the talented Quinto that includes Days of Our Lives alum, Al Calderon (ex-Javi Hernandez) who joined the series in its second season as Nurse Nico Silva, and One Life to Live alum, Teddy Sears (ex-Chad Bennett) who plays Wolf’s love interest and fellow physician, Dr. Josh Nichols.
The rest of the talented cast includes: Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Donna Murphy, John Clarence Stewart, and Brian Altemus.
In an ironic twist of fate on Thursday, April 30, Days of Our Lives finally revealed the actor who was Al Calderon’s successor in the role of Javi, when they announced that actor Jacob Martinez had now stepped into the role. Since DAYS tapes ten months ahead of streaming new episode, Calderon left in the spring of 2025, but will be seen in the part for the final part this month, and then on June 20, Martinez debuts as Salem’s new Javi.
Taking to his Instagram with a sorrowful and heartfelt post on the Brilliant Minds cancellation was Teddy Sears who wrote, “Thank you, Brilliant Minds. I got the call today and I didn’t want to hear, but I knew that it would come, You have to be a particular vintage to quote Don Henley from memory, but that’s the line that came to mind earlier today after I got off the phone with our inimitable showrunner Michael Grassi who delivered the news that NBC has cancelled the series”.

Sears continued, “To say that I feel sad to be moving on from these stories, this character, and this cast and crew just doesn’t paint the entire picture. I’m sad, sure. But I’m also deeply grateful that I got hired to play this part, so proud of the stories we told, and the other actors I got to play alongside. I’m excited to see what comes next, what adventures await, and terrified to be without a professional home. A quick and heartfelt thank you to everyone, all over the globe, who found us and found themselves in us, in our characters and in our stories. We wouldn’t have been able to tell them without you. And we still have 6 fresh episodes yet to air, and I do hope you tune in enjoy the remainder of the series. They’re the best we’ve done.”
As he wrapped up his sentiments, Sears signed off with, “The more I know, the less I understand. All the things I figured out I have to learn again. I’ve been trying to get down to the heart of the matter. But everything changes…Thank you, Brilliant Minds.”
The medical drama was created and executive produced by Michael Grassi alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Lee Toland Krieger, DeMane Davis, Jasmine Russ, Henrik Bastin, Jonathan Cavendish, Andy Serkis and Shefali Malhoutra.

‘General Hospital’s’ Jonathan Bennett Receives 3 ‘Critics Choice Real TV Awards’ Nominations for Hallmark Series, ‘Finding Mr. Christmas’
Many things are coming up roses for Jonathan Bennett! On the heels of the news that he is set to debut this month in the role of Joe Fitzpatrick on General Hospital, who is rumored to be a new love interest for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), comes the news that Bennett’s reality series, Finding Mr. Christmas has received 3 nomination for the Critics Choice Real TV Awards.
Bennett’s Hallmark Channel series finds itself in tough competition alongside fellow nominees: RuPaul’s Drag Race (MTV), Squid Game: The Challenge (Netflix), Survivor 50 (CBS), Top Chef (Bravo) and The Traitors (Peacock). In addition, Jonathan himself is nominated for Best Show Host and the series participants as the Best Ensemble Cast in an Unscripted Series.
The Critics Choice Association (CCA) revealed the nominees for the eighth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards on Thursday, which recognize excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms. Winners will be announced online at CriticsChoice.com on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 9:00am PT/12:00pm ET.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”
In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.
It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.
Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?
On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.
As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.
Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.
BROTHERLY LOVE?
Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”
With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”
BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE
Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

Most of these ‘new actresses’ – and I use that term loosely – are HORRID!!! This new one is no exception. ENOUGH with the Wyatt/Hope/Liam boring stuff!!! Think of some NEW story lines Mr. Bell! We’re sick of seeing Brooke/Ridge/ Taylor story replayed again and again – and now, in a new generation. As for Ridge and Kati=automatic click of the remote – just like when Liam shows up hypocritically whining. Rarely watch this anymore, and when I do, I find I’ve not missed a single thing.

Back in 1994 when Maggie and Jessica came in town it was mentioned (for sure) that Jessica had a sister. But if Ivy was her sister 20 years ago she should have been a toddler… Maybe John divorced Maggie and he had Ivy with another woman. We will see…

Why are they introducing a new character in the Forrester family? Why don’t they do what GH does and create new characters and that have no ties to existing, historical characters and families? Seems really dumb.
While I like most of the new characters GH introduces, a lot of fans are sick of new characters. A large majority would rather these characters have ties to the canvas in some way. YES, Ivy would be a newbie, BUT she is immediately considered “core” because she is a Forrester.
Ivy is a character fans never knew existed.So there’s no emotional connection to her.Yeah her sister Jessica and mother Maggie were on the show before but that was over 18 years ago.Plus i think most fans know the show is going to pair Ivy with either Liam and/or Wyatt.So her main purpose on the show is mostly romantic.

Well, the actress who plays Steffy is very busy with her new venture and the show she’s doing for a cable network that she’s not even on the show anymore even though she’s still in the opening credits. The guy who plays Thomas is doing God only knows what these days. With Taylor gone, their presence is not needed at all. Besides, once Hope chooses either Liam or Wyatt, Ivy will most likely be paired with the one that doesn’t get chosen by Hope. But yes, the possibilities for Ivy are endless with Liam, Wyatt, Oliver, and maybe even Carter (that storyline with Maya is an absolute joke).

As if.. Steffy was an 11 out of 10- looks wise, but Ivy’s maybe a 3.. She makes the other girls look tiny, cause she’s very big boned & wide, especially compared to Hope & Ali, & Carolyne.! & Not near as god an actress.. Not even close.! Steffy was stunning, & a brilliant actress.! Loved her & miss her

I hope she gets in a triangle with Liam and Wyatt. Allowing Hope to see how fickle Liam really is and in the process realize she’s not the only princess around. And I admit I was always team Steffy and Taylor.

I hope the best for this actress. A Steffy like character has been long overdue on this show. I can only dream that Ivy Forrester will not be sucked into the triangle of doom, but who am I kidding, of course she will, because there is nothing else for her character to be involved in.
I have no greater hope for this character than I do, any of the other “new” characters that have been introduced within the last year to BnB. Amazing new characters with loads of possibilities seem to be wasted on s/l’s that go in circles and pairs that have no life (Lope). I hope that the summer will bring something different but I wont hold my breath.
We are watching at the moment where Quinn and …. are fighting on the bridge.It would be good for someone else to come in.Cant wait.So when do Australians see it?

While I’m looking forward to seeing what she brings to the show, I’d much rather B&B bring Steffy back, I miss Jacqueline MacInnes Wood! It doesn’t make much sense to me why the show would introduce a never-before-heard-of Forrester instead of bringing back Steffy or Thomas, two well-established next-generation Forresters. It would only make sense seeing as Ridge is now back in L.A. too.
Hopefully she gives Hope some competition with Liam or Wyatt because this whole dating two guys thing is beyond ridiculous and goes completely against what Hope used to believe so strongly in, and what she berated Liam for doing with her and Steffy.
Yeah, get someone on the show to put Hope’s righteous little ass where it belongs~~without either Liam or Wyatt. I would absolutely love that.
Hopes chracter is hopeless at this point. Why would they (the writers) take everything Hope stood for , take it away, and turn her into a slut that has been sleeping with wyatt and now is dating two guys? Why doesn’t Liam tell hope about the sauna episode? Maybe that would help Hope decide tjhat she does not want to be with that immature little boy, he is not even a man, and he is very childish and acts like a school boy (teenager) with his harmones flairing up like a 10th grade boy. All he wants to do is kiss Hope, can’t he let her work? And why don’t you get rid of the Quinn and Wyatt combo, and start up a better story line? I was happy that Ridge rejected her jewelry. As for Ridge he can’t have both women, what is the matter with your writters. Brooke does not deserve either guy, not that Bill is a good catch, but he should stay alone, cause he sure hops in bed with anyone- meaning Quinn- what is with that. He will never be faithful !!!!!

Not excited about this new character at all. Nothing against the actress; I’m sure she is talented. But I believe an existing younger Forrester should have been brought back into the fold. Not another made up one. My guess is she is most likely here to prop up the 2nd triangle from hell. Nothing else. Oh and knowing Brad Bell, he’ll write it in the Steffy and Thomas Forrester sold her their shares.

Ashleigh is a total peach and a fine actor as well. I look at her and melt – such a babe! I’ve long been a B&B addict and when Ash’s character Kate was killed off in Neigbnours I wondered what her next career move would be. So it’s great I can enjoy watching her in this new glam role. I’m hoping Bell’s scriptos will inject some ginger & spice there to wake languishing Dope character up to herself. Love a bit of gritty sparky unpredicatablty for a change. You Hu….Anyone listening there…..? B&B has the makings of rivetting top shelf viewing with more innovative scriptlines. As it is it’s an endless merry-go-round two four time waltz ride.. Good for the Eventide crones, but it could be SO! much better.
…..and the new “Ridge”…omfg….so badly cast. Mr. Shambles. Looks like he should work on a dumpster, so NOT the sophisticated aesthete at home on the runways of Paris & Milan.Totally lacking the elegant suave savoir faire and slightly sinister malevolence that Ron Moss brought to the role. I hope beautiful Ivy doesn’t end up in his clutches.

I hope she’s a new love interest for Wyatt so that Liam and Hope can finally be together. It’s ridiculous how long we’ve waited for the manipulations to end and the two of them to finally have some happiness. I hope the secret she stumbles upon is something incriminating about Wyatt and his mom. It’s about time they stopped getting away with controlling every situation.
I always believed Hope and Liam belonged together – but I dont anymore – I think Ivy and Liam would be a great match!! Some fresh blood will be great for the show – I do feel Quinn and Wyatt need to go and Hope should end up alone – she had her chance with Liam and she blew it!! I want to see Hope with Liam, but she is immature about issues. Let Wyatt have her and let her be jealous when another woman gets Liam and he is happy. But please let that be it because I am sick of them chasing each other after the other finds another lover.
I used to want Hope with Liam, but he is a wet towel who is so fickle, has no mind of his own, and treated Hope like trash for so long. She is acting like a hypocrite now but I want her to end up choosing Wyatt. Liam should either get with this girl or chase after Steffy in Paris.

Looking forward to Ivy character. Must say, I stopped recording this show for three weeks due to frustration with Liam and Hope. Kept hoping they would give new character Wyatt more of a role and Quinn is only reason I still watch. Kridge? Not working….

I am so happy that liam and hope are together, i know things have happened in the past but when it comes down to it they are meant for each other. I hope wyatt will become involved with this new ivy girl because i think it would be nice for wyatt to have a nice girl too, just not hope because hope id meant for liam.

I agree, Ashley Brewer was terrible as Kate Ramsay, in the Australian soap neighbors, & she’s no better as Ivy Forrester.. I think they could have found someone ALOT better at acting than her, & someone ALOT more beautiful from Australia’s selection of stunning young actresses, she’s certainly not the poster girl for beautiful, talented actresses here by any means.! She’s very plain by B&B standards, & makes the other girls look tiny, cause she’s very big boned & weighty.! But anyway, good luck to her I guess, very lucky break.! Hopefully the next aussie actress bold chooses, will live up to the name of the show.. A girl little more like Jaquelyn McInnes Wood, (Steffy) would more resemble the best Aussie girls, & make things ALOT more interesting.! Even though she is from the US of course.! But a good example of what they could have done with the role.! There’s a real gap for a super hot/sassy, young brunette on the show sinse Steffy hasn’t been around.! & silly Ivy doesn’t even come close.. Sorry, but get us a better Aussie chick please.! Hopefully they’ll replace her with a better Aussie actress, like they do sometimes in years to come.!:-)
I don’t know why, but I just really want Hope to be happy. I love her character – I love that she always tries to do the right thing. (And I love the gorgeous Kim Matula) But I know soaps don’t do “happy”, cos happy = boring. So I guess there is no point hoping she gets with the “right” person for her (whoever that may be… I think Wyatt) cos the point of a soap is drama. But still, I just want to see Hope happy, even if only for a while. Let her enjoy her marriage to Wyatt for a bit – before the inevitable- focus on other characters for a while, and let us all have a break from Hope’s turmoil.
