"ATWT's" Teri Colombino on heartbreaking story and Paul Leyden's return!

columbino_news.jpgIn a couple of revealing interviews with Teri Colombino (Katie) As the World Turns, the popular actress tells that Katie will go through something tragic in the coming months, and that Simon, played by Paul Leyden is heading back to Oakdale, too.

First, here is an excerpt from Melissa Parker of Our Prattville’s interview with the CBS soap star about her new DVD thriller Imurders and “ATWT“:

Melissa Parker (Our Prattville): Now, turning our attention to As the World Turns. Katie has been through a lot, hasn’t she?

Terri Colombino: Yes, and she’s about to go through a whole lot more. The stuff that is coming up in the next couple of months is heartbreaking.

Melissa Parker (Our Prattville): Anything you can tell us about?

Terri Colombino: Well, I can say that something tragic is coming up that affects a lot of people.

Melissa Parker (Our Prattville): Perhaps concerning Austin Peck who is leaving?

Terri Colombino: It might be, yeah. It airs at the end of October, I think. But, be on the lookout for that. There are some really amazing performances.

Melissa Parker (Our Prattville): Possibly a new love interest for Katie?

Terri Colombino: I don’t think so, not just yet… although she does usually go from one to the other, doesn’t she?

Then Sara A. Bibel of Fancast.com’s Deep Soap column/blog got some exclusive news in her interview with the talented Columbino that Paul Leyden is on his way home to Oakdale. The actress stated:”He’s filming in the next month and we’re about two months ahead so it’s not going to probably air until around Christmas.

This all seems to point to Austin Peck’s, Brad is on his way out in a tragic way and Paul Leyden’s Simon, on his way in to pick up the pieces for Katie.  But is it?  Stay tuned!
