B&B Cast Members Reveal The Soap Is Back In Production!

Photo: JPI

Here’s some welcome news for daytime drama fans, and in particular those of CBS Daytime’s The Bold and the Beautiful.  From postings on social media today thus far from three of its central cast members, it appears B&B will be the first soap back in production amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Last Friday, the ban was lifted for TV and Film production so it can restart in Los Angeles, according to city health officials and Governor Newsom of California.  That being said, Los Angeles is being closely monitored since they have had a rise in new cases of COVID-19.

However on Monday, starting with a post by Don Diamont (Bill), then by Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) and an Instagram story by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy) they all were featured at  CBS Television City in front of a sign that welcomed back B&B!

Diamont shared: “HERE. WE. GO. Every bit of safety protocol imaginable is in place,and @boldandbeautifulcbs is back in production!!! LET’S ROLL!!!”

Lang expressed: “Excited to be going back to work this week!! My first day back after 4 months is on Thursday! I am soooo happy!! I had to take off my mask for the photo so you could see me smile😃😃😃😃 @boldandbeautifulcbs here we come! Let’s do this! Protocol and all! #boldandbeautiful #cbsdaytime

As for MacInnes wood, she cleverly had her iPhone cam following her feet as she strolled up to the Back in production sign from B&B.

As to when B&B will be back on-air with new episodes that remains to be seen and a date has not been released as of yet officially by the show.

So, what do you think of the news of The Bold and the Beautiful heading back into production?  How do you think the scenes will look? Any different than pre-pandemic? Share your thoughts via the comment section.  But first, check out Katherine and Don’s posts below.

I think they will build up their stockpile of shows before airing again so my guess will be August 31.

August 31 will be my guess. They have to build up their stockpile first.

No need to wait that long. More likely July 6. Allows some time for mixing scenes and editing. If they rushed, they could have stuff on air in a week, but they need to build a small cushion.

Tyra Banks Exiting ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Yesterday, Tyra Banks dropped a bombshell when speaking with a reporter from TMZ, while out for a stroll.

Banks shared that she’s not going to be returning as host of Dancing with the Stars, and has decided to focus on the business and entrepreneurial side of her career, plus producing behind the scenes entertainment projects.

This morning on Friday, Banks confirmed the news to Deadline.

Tyra had joined DTWTS in season 29 when she replaced longtime host, Tom Bergeron. She also became an executive producer of the reality-ballroom dance competition.

Last season, DWTS streamed exclusively on Disney Plus, and was taken off the ABC network.  During the last season, Tyra co-hosted the show with Alfonso Ribeiro, although she still presided over the ballroom competition.

Thus far, there has been no news of the next season of the series, although it’s expected to return.  In addition to Banks, dancer Mark Ballas along with the previously announced departure of dancer Cheryl Burke, leave the show with some shoes to fill.

Check out Tyra’s chat with TMZ below.
