As Beyond the Gates gets ready to begin broadcasting all-new episodes of its second 2, the soap opera is changing its Canadian broadcast home beginning next week starting on January 5, 2026.

The change for fans up north, comes just four months after its move from CHCH to the CTV Drama Channel in the fall. According to TV Watercooler, who broke the news, Bell Media is moving the CBS soap to another one of its properties, E!, where it will be its new linear home starting on January 5, 2026 at.3 p.m. ET /12 p.m. PT. time slots.

The move comes following a brief hiatus where CTV Drama paused airing new episodes over the holidays . For those who missed out on the holiday episodes (from December 19- through now) which would include Anita (Tamara Tunie) learning of her breast cancer diagnosis, those missing episodes are expected to land on streamer Crave in the very near future, while continuing its regular next-day streaming.

In addition, fans can also watch the first 100 episodes of daytime’s newest soap opera on Paramount+. It was back in May of this year, after only four months on the air that CBS renewed the show for its second season which launches with this Friday’s January 2 episode here in the United States.

Joining the cast for the new season in an undisclosed role is soap opera veteran, Jordi Vilasuso (ex-GL, AMC, DAYS and Y&R) who was seen in the season 2 extended preview for Beyond the Gates as a man making a romantic move on Ashley (Jen Jacob). But, who will he be playing? Stay tuned.

I am hoping that this works out for Beyond the Gates. I thought CTV Drama would have been the right fit, but I guess it was not. But so long as our Canadian neighbours can experience this truly brilliant soap, then I am all in!

This soap is amaziing. I love it.

This means nothing. We watch it on CBS in Canada, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t get CBS.

I watch it on crave so will be happy when it comes back.

Also ABC, NBC & FOX. We’ve always had access to US networks even before cable. Here in Vancouver, we watch BTG on Seattle’s CBS affiliate, KIRO.

Cut the cable cord long ago and replaced with Roku so no longer get linear US network programming unless it’s streaming on the Global, Crave apps etc. Happy Crave will continue to carry it, though.

Is Beyond the gates is moving from cbs station

I’m waiting for danta to get jail time for running that girl off the road
And Eva isn’t Ted’s daughter peaches tell the truth about all of it

I found it easier for me to watch this show when it was airing on CHCH. I find it disappointing that it is no longer available to watch on a regular tv channel.

EMOTIONS RAN HIGH

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Daytime Drama Series went to The Bold and the Beautiful’s Scott Clifton, who won his fourth Emmy overall and second in Lead for his touching performances as Liam Spencer during Liam’s medical crisis storyline for an inoperable brain tumor, which turned out to be a ruse.

During his acceptance speech, Clifton shared, “This means so much to me, not the thing, the attaboy from my peers. I can think of few things that bring me more joy than that.”

Speaking on his fellow nominees which included the likes of Y&R’s Eric Braeden (Victor Newman)  and GH’s Steve Burton, (Jason Morgan) Clifton said, “I am in awe of all of you, and you’ve taught me so much. It was a really hard year, and you made me invincible. You are my existential oxygen tank. And I don’t know what I would do without you. I love you, and I am grateful to you.

DECADES BETWEEN

In the Outstanding Supporting Actor and Actress categories, two longtime names synonymous with daytime drama, Roger Howarth (Matt Clark, Y&R) and Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott, Y&R) won their second Emmys in their career. Roger 32 years after his last Emmy playing Todd Manning on One Life to Live in 1994, and Beth Maitland for winning 41 years after becoming Y&R’s first performer to win Emmy gold back in 1985.

General Hospital executive producer,  Frank Valentini and his producing team took home the gold for the sixth year in a row for Outstanding Daytime Drama Series for the ABC soap. He later shared a moment with Scott Clifton, who started his daytime career as Dillon Quartermaine on GH.

During the ceremonies, the iconic Genie Francis (Laura, General Hospital) was presented with the Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award by her husband actor and director, Jonathan Frakes. After Francis received the award she posed for some snaps for the photographers in attendance.
