This was the news that One Life to Live fans have been waiting for and a big update for All My Children fans too!
This afternoon, Prospect Park has issued two press releases confirming the names of those thus far that will be part of the two series reboot and it includes a spectacular list on the OLTL side, and a giant addition on the AMC side.
Prospect Park announcmnet stated, “It has closed the following deals with cast members and production executives, with more deals expected to close in the coming weeks, for The Online Network’s production of All My Children.” Now take a look at the official cast as of today!

‘All My Children’ Movie Writers for Lifetime Revealed: Ron Carlivati, Jamey Giddens and Leo Richardson
This week began and as reported with a spotlight article on Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos and how their production entity, Milojo, has been teeing up the All My Children reboot with Lifetime.
The L.A. Times featured the married couple, co-hosts of Live with Kelly and Mark, and former All My Children cast members (where they met and fell in love) about their plans to bring two All My Children movies to Lifetime and how they are working with the Agnes Nixon estate to make it come to fruition,
On Wednesday, it was revealed by Daytime Confidential, that All My Children reboot producer, Andrew Stearn handpicked none other than Ron Carlivati (ex-head writer, One Life to Live, General Hospital and Days of our Lives) and Jamey Giddens (who is the new co-head writer of The Young and the Restless, following his tenures on the writing teams of Beyond the Gates and Days of Our Lives), as the two scribes who will bring the first of two of Kelly and Mark’s All My Children movies to the page.

RON CARLIVATI AND JAMEY GIDDENS CONFIRM THEIR BOARDING THE ALL MY CHILDREN MOVIE PROJECT
The second installment is said to be written by primetime writer Leo Richardson whose credits include: Star, Katy Keene and more recently the Penn Badgley (ex-Phillip Chancellor IV, The Young and the Restless) starring series, You.
Richardson also wrote for three years on the U.K.’s long-running soap, EastEnders. All My Children revival fans will recall Richardson’s name was attached as the writer for the first incarnation of the All My Children movies, entitled, Pine Valley.
Ron Carlivati took to X and confirmed he is indeed boarding the All My Children movie project. Carlivati shared, “So excited to share this news! Thanks to Andrew Stearn, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, Albert Bianchini and the Agnes Nixon estate for entrusting Jamey Giddens and me with the first of two planned All My Children movies for Lifetime! Stay tuned!”

Jamey Giddens confirmed DC’s announcement by taking to his account on X and expressing, “I’ve been booked and busy in 2026. Thanks to Andrew Stearn, the Agnes Nixon estate, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos for entrusting Ron Carlivati, and me with the first of two planned All My Children movies for Lifetime!”
Some fans seemed to question how Giddens could be writing for the first All My Children movie at Lifetime, when he is the new co-head writer at The Young and the Restless with Dan O’Connor. Jamey answered that head on via X and explained, “We turned in our All My Children script months ago. My sole focus as of this past Monday, is Genoa City, Wisconsin! #YR”
ERICA KANE, MARIA SANTOS AND HAYLEY AND MATEO SANTOS TO APPEAR IN THE ALL MY CHILDREN MOVIE REVIVAL?
In the planned stories, Susan Lucci’s Erica Kane and Eva LaRue’s Maria Santos will be two characters whose lives we will get to see for the first time since the series was canceled by ABC back in 2011 after 41 years on the air. As well, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos confirmed they will make brief appearances on-screen; one could assume as Hayley and Mateo Santos.
“It’d be wonderful to give the fans something that they’ve been yearning for so many years,” shared Mark Consuelos to the LA Times. “All My Children gave me my family. I met my wife there. It gave me my start in the business. It gave us so much. It would be a dream to be able to give back.”

‘All My Children’ Revival Updates: Lifetime EVP Speaks on Why Proposed Movies are Great Fit, Mark Consuelos Wants To ‘Give Back’ to Fans
The All My Children revival via movies at Lifetime is still in the works from former series stars and marrieds, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, through their production company, Milojo.
The co-hosts of Live with Kelly and Mark were featured this week in a Los Angeles Times article which detailed their efforts to bring some of the citizens of Pine Valley back to your screens.
As previously reported, and reaffirmed by the L.A. Times, the All My Children movies will be set in the present day and focus on what beloved characters such as Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) and Maria Santos Gray (Eva LaRue) are doing now. In addition, Kelly Ripa confirmed that she and Mark Consuelos will also appear on screen briefly most likely appearing in their signature soap roles as Hayley and Mateo Santos.

ALL MY CHILDREN MOVIES BRING NOSTALGIA THAT CAN BE MADE TO FEEL NEW AGAIN
Elaine Frontain Bryant, executive vice president and head of programming for A&E, Lifetime, and Lifetime Movie Network said of the All My Children reboot, “Lifetime is always interested in shows that kind of tap into a powerful nostalgia that can be made fresh for today’s audience. There’s a whole generation of women that have missed these stories and these characters.”
As for working with Kelly and Mark on the Lifetime movie versions of the soap, “They’re exactly the kind of partners you want at a brand,” expressed Bryant. “They’re trusted voices because every day they’re talking to their audience, which, a lot of times, is our audience. They bring a real credibility and have an authentic point of view. You meet Kelly and Mark and kind of what you see is what you get, and I think they bring that same authenticity to their development standards.”
Albert Bianchini, executive producer for Milojo, says he knows All My Children is so wildly popular with the fans of daytime. That was punctuated when seeing it in person, and how the energy was off the charts back in January of 2025 when Kelly participated along with Susan Lucci, former head writer, Lorraine Broderick and casting director, Judy Blye Wilson in a conversation with Andy Cohen at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.

“I’ve never seen a crowd like that in my life. People were lined up around the block, recalled the Bianchini. “Everyone wanted to know, ‘When is (All My Children) coming back? We want more.’ We got to see that in real life and Kelly got to feel it in real life, and it made so much sense. I just know that the minute it gets out in the world, people will want more and more and more. There’s just a love there.”
Kelly Ripa added that they are, “working closely with Bob and Sarah Nixon, who are also serving as producers.” She recalled, “She (Agnes Nixon) was so far ahead of her time. She covered topics that weren’t being covered. It was extraordinary the audiences that the show drew, and she served them real stories that were affecting Americans across the country but weren’t necessarily being represented anywhere.”
“It’d be wonderful to give the fans something that they’ve been yearning for so many years,” shared Mark Consuelos. “All My Children gave me my family. I met my wife there. It gave me my start in the business. It gave us so much. It would be a dream to be able to give back.”
THE CANCELLATION AND STOPS AND STARTS OF ALL MY CHILDREN REBOOTS
All My Children aired on ABC from 1970 to 2011. It got a second chance at life when Prospect Park resurrected the show and brought it to The OnLine Network and Hulu for one season in 2013.
Recently, the series made a return through the estate of Agnes Nixon and is streaming internationally on BEONDTV and through their partnership with PlutoTV Canada with episodes starting in 1995. Fans hope original episodes will some day soon be available in the U.S. as well, but that could prove more difficult since ABC owns the rights to the episodes stateside.
Now 13 years later, while there is no word yet on a definitive production start date to the two movies at Lifetime, all the people involved seemed determined to make it come to life.

Starting on May 1, All My Children fans in Canada will be able to see classic episodes of the beloved former ABC soap opera when they stream on Pluto TV Canada.
Pluto TV picked-up the All My Children Channel that the Nixon family has created in partnership with BEONDTV +. The show which aired for 41 years on ABC and ended on the network in 2011, had so many memorable storylines and characters; the least of which is the enduring run of Erica Kane played by soap icon, Susan Lucci.
As previously reported, starting with episodes from the year 1995, which was the 25th anniversary of the soap. Pluto TV Canada viewers will be able to catch 8 episodes on repeat per day. With the success of the venture, the Nixons are hopeful that they will bring viewers many more years of the show to come.

In addition, 0ne week ago, during Susan Lucci’s visit to Los Angeles promoting her book La Lucci, she was joined by her former Pine Valley castmates, Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee, AMC, now Taylor, B&B) and Eva LaRue (ex-Maria, AMC) and the trio posed for a pic. At that time, LaRue shared via Instagram, “NEW All My Children channel streaming classic episodes 24/7 now on Pluto TV Canada! Fingers crossed to watch soon on Pluto US.”
That was also confirmed this week by TV Watercooler’s Jeevan Brar who took to X and expressed, “The All My Children channel begins streaming this Friday, May 1 on Pluto TV Canada.

I hope they can get a few more members of the cast of both shows as the cast right now looks a little thin on All My Children.
I was thinkg the same in regards to AMC! it doesn’t seem as many want to return and Susan Lucci is STILL MIA! I don’t think they can afford her.
Susan is doing a TV show. She can’t leave it as there is a contract for her, which she did before all of this coming back alive came about.. I wish she could come back though!!!

Thin? It’s two pounds away from organ failure lol! It so upsetting and it’s because AMC was in the wrong hands for too long. The show was hastily moved to the west coast and ABC never supported It the way it should have. Now So much time has passed since ABC was a beautifully told storY about people we loved. Let’s hope it’s not too late. Tune in tomorrow!

I am so thrilled by all this news………I waited and never gave up hope that AMC and OLTL would really return. Really happy to see the cast of OLTL really are coming back together!!!!!! Can’t wait for the return!!!!!
AMC’s list is looking so sad. But that’s because most of the actors located to LA for the series’ move. And unlikely that a lot will once again re-locate. So getting original cast members is going to be harder. So I’m expecting a good bunch of recasts to that series or a complete re-vision of what’s happening on it. I hope more sign on like Christina Bennett Lind (Bianca), Sarah Glendening (Marissa), Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) and people like that!
Let’s not forget the main players too. Tad, Dr. Martin, Kendal, and Jr. What about Erica and Jackson. Remember the last scene before it ended someone was shot and it looked like Erica
I could care less if Erica or Jackson returned. Both characters were bore for me. JR/Jake got annoying for me, too.

Exactly. Carlivati would be a hard act to follow in any case, but I am unimpressed so far with the writers who have been selected. Neither Klein nor Bedsow Horgan made much of an impression when they were (separately) headwriters for As the World Turns.
Your right Alan. Oltl had the best writers who truly understood these characters. Any new writers will need some luck , support, and talent! I hope they have it all!
I need Michael Easton back as John McBain – then my soap world would be complete!! Excited for OLTL!!! Can’t wait for it to start. Hope the writers have Natalie giving birth to John McBain’s little red headed girl! One day maybe he (ME) will be back.

I was shocked and beyond thrilled at that “Prospect” of Thorsten joining the AMC Reboot. I thought there was no way they would get him. Prospect Park has done a fantastic job thus far of getting some of the great actors of AMC past to really make the future one successful. Each actor chosen has had a key role on the show in the past.
I agree completely! So glad to hear of Thorsten Kaye and Tuck Watkins, wasn’t sure if either would sign on. I hope OLTL also grabs Trevor St. John and that GH keeps Roger Hawarth. There is so much story to be told about the Lord twins and crossovers between the two shows would be mutually beneficial. I also hope OLTL signs Ilene Kristen as Roxy. Her humor, like Tuck’s is amazing.

You know, that’s a good question. I did not know that Walt Willey was not approached ~ either they are allowing his character of Jackson to exit, as he did on the last show, and let it go at that – I don’t know. But if Susan Lucci chooses not to reprise the character of Erica Kane, which somehow I suspect since she is busy with other projects, then where will the storyline of Erica and Jackson go? Maybe this new inception of the show will go in many directions, but they need the basic characters to at least get it going one way or another. We are accustomed to smaller and supporting roles being recast (I mean there have been several Bianca[s], each of the good in different ways) but can we accept the major characters being portrayed by an all new cast, I don’t know – is it better to “write around” them until they come aboard?

Kind of a confused, how can the age Matthew and Destiny and not age Danielle or Jack. Otherwise the cast looks great. I just wish they woudl bering back the original actors for Matthew and Destiny.
Jennifer, my EXACT thought as well !!!! I am thrilled with all of those already signed on to return to each show, but why on earth would they not want the original Matthew and Destiny, since they are bringing Danni and Jack back. I know they will now be parents of an infant, but I can see Eddie Alderson and Shenell Edmonds playing those parts quite well. I know Eddie moved to the West Coast, and if it were the decision of both actors not to return, then I will be disappointed, yet would understand, as it is their choice, but I did not read anything about either of them turning down an offer to return, so I am guessing they were not asked back. I guess time will tell. I would also enjoy seeing little Sam Manning return too. He was so adorable.
I am also keeping my fingers crossed that Trevor St. John can return as well, even if it is for short stints, since I know he is involved in other endeavors!!

Yes,I saw her on Deception last week but I dont think she is committed to anything right now so she can come back if they ask her and if theyre smart they WILL!!!!
Bree wasn’t just in the pilot. She also does flashbacks in future episodes to explain her past, leading up to the character’s murder. But, I hope she comes back to OLTL; she was one of my favorites.

Farah Fath doesn’t seem to want to come back, and it appears she wasn’t asked either. She indicated she was pretty much done with soaps when she left.
It also appears that JPL wasn’t asked back. At least not yet.
I hope she hasn’t “gone” HOLLYWOOD… it’s a shame….

I’m just wondering how much airtime we’ll actually get. If the show’s are going to be only 30 minutes…with time out for commericals…what do we get? Fifteen minutes of show?

I watch the soaps on the web, they run are 36 minutes with the commercials..
The reason they are an hour on network TV is because of all the commercials ..
yes but I’m assuming there’ll be commercials on their site as wel. there are on Hulul…not just 30 minutes straight. so it will probably be much shorter…hope I’m wrong because that would be really minimal.
I think that will all depend on what platform PP uses.
The soaps that are rebroadcast on the web – all of the current ones which are accessed either directly or indirectly via the networks are dependent for their online viewing from the network broadcast, with the network formula for ads.
The online only soaps do it differently and in fact aren’t always following a strict halfhour format. They usually have only a few – up to 4, usually – commercials, never more than 60 seconds long.
I think we’ll be seeing more show than commercial in a big way.

I’m hoping since David Canary lives in Ct. he’ll be back even if part-time. I hope MEK comes back. I do see this as an opportunity to bring back core families like the Cortlands with recasts. I would love Nina , Pete, Bobby and the clan come back to PV. Cliff can be re-cast since its been so long. He could come back to PVHospital. So many possibilities

I’m really excited and happy to hear that PP has gotten so many of the original OLTL actors to come back and reprise their characters on the reboot! Sounds like it will really be recognizable as OLTL with the main nucleus of the old show coming back!
The only thing missing is the John McBain character and Starr and Todd and/or Victor.
I just hope something can be worked out withABC/GH to keep those characters on GH and maybe have them make occasional appearances on the PP OLTL show..

I’ve been jumping up and down we almost have the whole OLTL cast back minus the three on GH and Jessica! Now if they could just work out a deal where they are on OLTL then visit GH and not the other way around LOL the way it was for the last 9yrs or so!!!!!! Happy happy day!

Love the additions to OLTL!!! So glad that it’s official that Viki, Tea, Bo, Nora, David, Blair are definitely back. And I’m glad to see Vimal back, even if it is recurring. I always thought he was so entertaining and funny. I’m glad to see Cutter back too, I hope he’s shirtless often like he was before lol.
I’m glad to see Melissa back as Natalie, I always liked her. Can Brody come back for her since John will likely stay on GH? He was man candy too! And I actually liked Bree as Jessica, she could always come back sometime, never know.
And I’m happy to see the girl returning as Danielle. She’s very pretty and a good actress. Jack I’m not so sure about. I hope the actor has gotten better in the year they have been off. He definitely has the looks, just has to bring the acting!
And I hope the boy who played Sam comes back also, too bad he can’t stay little and cute like that but for so long! Hope to see Roxy, Tina, and Gabrielle, even if it’s recurring.
At AMC I’m glad to see Jessie, Zach, and Opal coming back also. But AMC needs a lot more vets to come back!!! I’d love to see Tad and Dixie back!

They need Tad, Dixie, Greenlee, they can recast Kendall (maybe even bring back Sarah Michelle), Brooke would be nice to see, Amanda, Jake and a few new faces would be nice to add to the list. Also, I hope and pray that PP is looking to take AMC & OLTL to a cable network. I will be watching the online venture, but I really would like to see both shows make a return to television…..if for any reason, to just stick it to ABC…LOL
Without some kind of TV deal to share the costs, this has very little chance of getting off the ground. And without Susan Lucci, AMC might as well stay cancelled. It wasn’t exactly drawing in crowds when she was still on toward the end on ABC. This has “FLOP” written all over it.
Unless you’ve some inside knowledge we don’t, then I can’t imagine what you even mean. PP isn’t new at this, they’ve got other series up and running. And they’ve got the financial backing to put both shows back up and running. There aren’t that many numbskulls around with tons of money to lose, so it’s very safe to say that the people who are backing this believe it will work. Not only hope, but believe, with a sound basis. Unless you’re in the industry yourself, and based on what you wrote, you’re not, then you’re only blowing smoke because you like the smell.
Nothing makes some people happier than raining on a parade without the facts to back it up.

Stunned by the list of actors reprising their roles on OLTL. This is just the best news. Bring back the GH3, Roxy who was so wonderful at the end and little Sam. Practically weeping tears of joy.

The Core Family on AMC so far are the Castillos and Hubbards. Where are the Martins and the Kanes and the Chandlers? AMC is about Multi class and Multi generational families. When that changed in the late 90’s the show went down hill.
OLTL is Rock Solid! Happy the Vatel’s are added. (the first hindu family in daytime)
AMC needs several shots in the arm if the online venture is going to work: a matriarch busybody character like Phoebe Tyler Wallingford to add some fun (while giving more meaningful storyline to Opal), a character we the audience could relate to as our beloved grandmother like the Myrtle Fargate character, and of course Tad and Dixie to add heart and focus to the show. Above all, I hope some INTERESTING AND INTRIGUING STORIES are on the way. I’ve loved AMC since 1975 but for many of the recent years it was on the air, the storylines were dull and repetitive and characters thin and one-dimensional. I would appreciate stores that are relatable, real, heart-felt (a la Knots Landing) with a dash of mystery rather than so much emphasis on beauty and glamour.
I am *so* happy for OLTL as it appears it has the ingredients to be interesting and successful. Hooray!
Your points are very well made ~ ALL MY CHILDREN got a little repetitive towards the end with too much storyline around the Ryan and Kendall and Greenlee trio –
and no disrespect intended but they need stronger actors and not just pretty faces to keep the action moving along. I am not really sad that the actor who is known for portraying Ryan may not return for the online presentation. I hope the writing is interesting and I hope they do some respectable recasting of important roles.
