There have been rumors circulating for some time that Two-time Daytime Emmy winner, and a nominee this year for Outstanding Lead Actor, Billy Miller might be heading to General Hospital!

The beloved former star of The Young and the Restless who exited the CBS soap opera in December in the role of Billy Abbott has been thought for some time to possibly heading to Port Charles as a recast for the role of Jason Quartermaine (last played by Steve Burton).

Earlier this evening to add some fuel to the fire TV Guide Magazine’s Michael Logan tweeted, “Billy Miller. General Hospital. Done deal? This is what I’m hearing.”

The question remains if this does come true, who will Miller play?  A new character? Jason?  Someone who hasn’t been on the canvas in awhile like Dillon Quartermaine? Weigh-in on your thoughts if Miller joins GH,  and who you would want him to play?

Let him play A.J., who didn’t die. Make up some story of how his death was faked for some far out reason.

So why don’t they just change the name of general Hospital to Young and Restless since they all are going there

Who can blame them all for jumping ship. GH is gaining the viewers who are leaving Y&R. Y&R sucks so bad right now. Phelps needs to go YESTERDAY!!!! She is destroying Y&R. Shick and Lane are not cutting it.

The demise of the other shows has left a huge pool of excellent actors. GH is trying to glean out the best or cream of the crop.

Actually GH has turned into OLTL not Y&R. It’s constantly focused on the OLTL 3.

AJ already faked his death before. He would have good reason to do it again BUT I dont see it. GH+Y&R=#1 in ratings!

There’s only four soaps left and soap opera actors rarely get jobs elsewhere. Why do you think they always end up coming back. They still have bills to pay. My point, these actors will eventually be on every soap at some point if they want to keep working.

They don’t have to work much on GH. If they get 2 days a week that’s a lot (most of the time.).

I liked Sean K. as A.J. but id accept any Quartimaine…maybe even a son of Jimmy Lee?

Id take him as any Quartimaine…even a new one…son of Jimmy Lee?

NO!!! Sean Kanan is, and always will be, the only AJ for me. But I would love to have this still-lamented Quartermaine’s death be a faked one, although I don’t know that lightning could credibly strike twice in PC, even if it IS a soap!

Billy Miller is the NuJason … Morgan or Quartermaine? That is the real question 🙂

Too old for Morgan(they dont need to recast here unless the actor quit)…recast Nathan instead!!!

The fall could have reverted him back to the original Jason who wanted to be a doctor. That would be interesting. Would also bring back more Q time.

Robin will bring back JQ!

I might buy this only if he got the contract he wanted that Y&R wouldn’t give him. If not, he’s a hypocrite.

Probably more about JFP than contract, otherwise the Y&R actors wouldn’t be leaving in droves as soon as their contract is up.

It may not have been just the money. If your name is not Steve Burton, seems like Jill Farren Phillips has very little use for you and lets good actors walk.

The real deal is he, along with many others, does not like JFP.

They really don’t need any NEW characters on GH right now.

Would rather see him play Dillon (more scenes for Tracy!!) –
that is if he’s not too old – instead of Jason Morgan, the saintly,
sensitive, black shirted hit-man. Also, Jason would drain Billy Miller
of his natural sense of humor.

Although, either way we would get a Quartemaine back!! lol

GH always needs new great actors, as Billy Miller !!
whatever character he would play, he would rock it !

When GH can get a loved actor as Billy Miller, good for GH- bring it home!!
Billy Miller has so much to offer GH.. 🙂

hope it is true!!! time will tell ..

I wanted David Tom as Dillion but id settle for Billy Miller…even as a recast Nathan!!!

True. Jason never had a sense of humor. I would rather see a new talented actor come on the show and GH release the excess. [Jordan, TJ, Rafe, Levi, and Woody. [Nathan]

I think Billy should play Jason I think they look a little alike,I really like Billy he is a great actor, and I think GH should be thankful to have Billy Miller..

but not as a hitman for Sonny…i like to think Jason suffered amnesia with no memory of his mob past and returns as Dr. Jason Quartimaine…so does this mean Robin cured him…then Robin returns in the form of Elizabeth Hendrickson!!!

I agree!

Billy is too good for a soap anymore. He needs to do primetime and movies.

I am happy if he’s Nu-Jason though,I agree he is seasoned enough for Primetime & the Big Screen!

i could see him in primetime as a p.i. or some cop ect.

Wow……………..I have heard MANY times from people who started on soaps and moved on the movies and/or prime time that working in soaps was the hardest work they ever did, because of the fact of having to “produce” an entire show each and every day. I have also read several interviews where they said that they felt their best work was when they were on a soap.

He may have tried that route and found it difficult to catch on? Hollywoods loss is daytimes gain!

You got that right!

Love Billy Miller. He’d be great as Dillon Q. If he is Jason, please be Jason Q, not Morgan. I DO NOT miss Jason Morgan at all!

Y&R needs to get him back. They are friggin idiots. He belongs as Billy Abbott

Love you Billy Miller!!!
Please let it be true..
He has so much to bring to GH with him!!!

GO BILLY!!!!

I am doing a happy dance! I don’t care who he plays. He will be great in any role! He’s just amazing.

Just checked out his Emmy reel (had never seen him act before, only read about him). He’s a good actor. I’d prefer to see him as a new character. I’d rather see the Jason character remain on break – after all if Jason returns what’s the new excuse for keeping Robin away. Better leave those two characters off in limbo together and bring in BM as someone new.

If they cast Dillion, I have been hoping for John Paul lavoisier, he would be perfect. If they must, & I mean must bring Jason back I guess Billy would be ok. I really don’t think the show needs Jason back right now.I don’t want to see GH become the Jason Morgan show again. Id rather see them bring the Q’s back & give Monica a great story. GH has become about mob wars, when it should be centered around the Q’s, but thats kind of hard to do when the writers killed off most of the family.

hmm
for Michael Fairman to bring this to us,
I’d bet he knows something we do not know, not yet anyways 🙂

yup, I think he knows .. heh..

What about Steven Lars? or even Lucky?

billy miller will be playing Jason and he will play it well

I hope he plays a re-cast Jason Quartermaine! Anyone is better than Steve Burton.

Hope this news is true! I would love him on GH and I think the way they rotate characters on that show would allow him to get the outs that YR couldn’t (and shouldn’t) accommodate him in the role as Billy Abbott.

Billy Miller started out on an ABC soap. He was fantastic on AMC. He ventured over to CBS for a few years, but I’d love to see him back on ABC at GH.

THE BEST NEWS EVER IN DAYTIME HISTORY. I know he can’ t pull off playing Jason Morgan, but he could play Jason Quatermaine. To rewrite history with a twist, of having him paired with Sam as Jason Quatermaine. So Shawn could just replace him. And this Jason can go back for being that docter that he wanted to be, before his car accident with AJ. So we could see more of the Quatermaine family. Again QUESTION- Has Jason ever worked at ELQ before? He could even do that instead. If he doesn’t want to be that doctor.

Jason!!! Steve Burton left on his own decision. I would luv this as a recast. Best of luck Billy,

At this rate Y&R will have to announce the hiring of James Scott to make a splash lol. Definitely think he will be Jason Quartermaine. GH already has enough mobsters.

Billy Miller is a awesome actor but I won’t be watching GH just because he is on there.Y&R fan all the way.

the longest rumor i’ve heard is of him playing jason, wish i’m game for , the other one i heard a while back was lucky spencer, i’ll take him as either of those, i don’t see him as dillon though, plus the character of dillon is not needed anyways. rather have ned come back then dillon. as for billy miller, well you can be who ever you wanna be at GH , hopefully if its Jason, then i hope they don’t make this about just Sam and danny and jason, hopefully they’ll remember Elizabeth in the equation.

I think with the loss of so many soaps GH may be the way of the future; soaps expanding to encompass more storlyines and more characters. With so many soap actors out of work we’re going to see a lot of familiar faces popping up on one of the remaining soaps or leaving one to go to another. So whether the actor comes from OLTL or any other soap…as long as the stories remain fun/entertaining/engrossing I’m in.

Don’t know Billy Miller as I only watch GH and the dearly departed OLTL. If he’s as good as his fans say…great news!

This would be great news!

Please say this isn’t so? I can’t see Billy as that Jason character. I want him back on Y&R as Billy. This is awful. I do not watch GH and wouldn’t start watching either if Billy goes over. What a horrible mess.

If this is more fake propaganda, I will go ape on all of you. Your headlines never match with the body of the conversation. But, I will say that he will have to be very handsome, well built and have the personality. This Billy boy looks too young, not like a seasoned actor with the presence that Jason had. You see, the Jason character helped everyone. Was completely selfless. no greed or power hungry. He did his job effectively as if it was just something he had to do for the good of the town. He loved babies and always saved every damsel in distress. I think he was able to leap tall buildings too. Anyway, we are all still in shock at the way he exited his role. No closure, just an open ended thing from some very evil characters.

Can someone tell me what Y&R is doing to cause these actors to leave their roles and then end up somewhere else? This is concerning. Also, stop replacing the talented actors with those that that can’t act in a soap or aren’t believable in their character like the new police officer, Mark Harding and the newest Billy Abbott. It was a good choice that David Tom was replaced, but it just never clicked from the beginning.

GH barely exists anymore. It’s turned into OLTL. It’s always focused on the OLTL 3. Our gh characters areas wrote for properly. They only write good for the new characters. With that said I want Jason Morgan back. Jason Q was horrible. Billy would be a good Jason Morgan as long as he has chemistry with Kelly Monaco. Which is a must because Jason and Sam belong together. Get her away from boring Silas!

Billy Miller would never be a good fit as Jason Morgan. If they reverted him back to pre accident Jason Quartermaine, maybe. Would be a much better Dillon Quartermaine.

Not loving this, not a huge fan of his. The cast is already overloaded, and he wouldn’t be a good Jason or Dillon at all. I’d rather he just keep trying primetime.

This will blow away Y&R and Bill Bell will officially turn in his grave! I would like Billy to be Dillon BUT if he played Jason he would be paired up with Sonny, Carly, and Sam and Mr. Miller and his amazing acting would fit right in with these three. Sorry Tracy!

It is now quite obvious there is a heated casting war between GH and Y&R. Y&R got Steve Burton. Now GH has Michele Stafford and Billy Miller.

Would be the only person I would accept as the nuJason. Love, love, Billy Miller!

I hope not. I thought he wanted to do other things. If he goes back to a soap, he needs to return to Y&R as Billy. The show desperately needs him.

I don’t see him as Jason…. that role should go to Michael Muney if they are going to recase it.

Billy would be a great Dillon…. or a new character where he can show off his adorable smile a lot.

There needs to be more Q’s on canvas so hopefully Dylan. I miss Lucky but don’t know if I’m ready for a recast. Seems that 1 of Luke’s sons should be on canvas though! But please Ron & Frank — NO MORE NEW CHARACTERS FOR AWHILE!

I’ve seriously been waiting for Billy to make the move to GH as Jason as soon as I learned he was leaving Y & R. He’s going to sizzle – well, depending on how the character is written I suppose! If this is true, and he’s coming aboard as Jason, this absolutely makes my day!

OMG!!! What fools are running the ship at Y&R?!
Letting the best leave! What a mess with all the newbies, and now this !
GH can only vastly improve if BM joins, but he is THE BEST as a multi layered man, his charm & charisma need to show.
Love Billy Miller and I will follow him as well.
Ciao Y&R.

Yes, GH should change their name to Genoa City General Hospital, aka Y&R General Hospital.

I don’t care who he signs on to play as long as he DOES! He would make a great JM or DQ….he is one amazing actor and it would serve YR right if he did! This has s been a rumor since it was announced he was leaving YR so I really hope this is finally true!

I will watch him ,he it’s a great actor , since I took Y&R off my recording I would change to GH since I never watch it before ,will be all new to me , now ,happiness would be if MM show up on GH then all my favourites would be in one place!!

I think Billy Miller has such sparkle in his eyes and that Puck-like mischievousness about him. Playing Jason would be like watering down his aura ~ unless they totally changed Jason’s persona. I wasn’t watching when Dillon was on GH, but I’d be for that if Dillon had a fun side. It’s be great to see him come on as a Q; one that could really tap that effervescence that BM can bring to a role and the audience loved on YR.

I hope he plays Dylan or Lucky. But…those two are beloved characters tied to core families. They just don’t do well under this regime.

I hope he does come to the show as Jason.. I think the show needs the character back.

We really have enough unrepentant murderers on this show. Unless Jason is brought back with his brain and being horrified at what he did for a living for 16 years, there is no need for the character. Besides Miller is too young to play Jason.

I hope so and hope he plays jason

I think you are right, Mark. Billy will probably be the nu-Jason.

One of the dumbest things Y&R ever did was to let Billy go he is a great actor and really missed his humor and style is lacking on the show ….

I agree Jackie. Letting Billy Miller go so easily was an epic mistake. I don’t know what they were thinking.

For those of you saying he should go back to Y&R—clearly, if he signs with another soap this soon after leaving, there is a reason he did not want to stay with Y&R, and until that reason changes, he’s not going back. (It could have been contract/salary, but my bet is, no.)

Ditto Michelle Stafford.

What really needs to happen is that Sony and CBS need to start paying attention to that reason, and do something about it.

The same could be and is said about GH. We lost Steve Burton, Brandon Barash, Bradford Anderson, Sean Kanan, Scott Reeves. List goes on. Same reasons TPTB.

And don’t forget Tristan Rogers!!!! Not to mention the debacles with Jack Wagner and John Stamos….and no, I’m still not over them!!!!!

i like yr and gh sharing and swapping people i think it spices the soaps up!!! i hope soaps are on forever!!!! the better ratings the longer they stay on!!!

this is exactly what the 4 remaining soaps NEED

to prop : be with : alike : share veteran : help ALL

we have simply got to get it in our heads… NOW : for the life of Serial : to co-exist

and feature MORE at , with, and for, audience

these are big names…. : am I sad – devastated – he’s not in Genoa City… same goes with Michael Muhney… LOVE them….

be that as it may : if the behind the scenes and production is so lacking… Actors are given Scripts… they see and know the behind the production… they are aware

prosperity is in serial. it’s a career…. starlights, STAR, enamored with

it aches how much past, and present names have come and gone

currently… it’s a life line trickle… how many newbies spark

Billy Miller and Michael Muhney mega-watt amped up stratosphere our stimuli

I will heed from the mountain tops… how necessary this genre belongs

———–

I don’t think GH right now…. needs Carly and Franco…. ????
why shouldn’t they not go to DAYS of OUR Lives and be : EJ and Sami … why would this not work…. it’s all a pull… a feast for the audience… to keep veteran core characters and lauded ACTORS to remain… refresh… new meaty material…

circumvent this… support the 4 shows… perhaps the writing will not plateau and quicksand.

crossovers work : think the divine delish Robin Christopher… currently, Wally Kurth is doing it.

soap dish

wtf?

No. Lol

I hope Billy Millers is the recast of Jason Quartermaine, i wrote here several times on this post. I predicted this, that Billy Miller would come to GH as Jason. I was also right about Gina coming to the young and the restless as the new Phyllis. Im physic and on a roll. LOL.

I’d bet that Billy Miller will not be Jason or AJ, nope .

There would be a new character created just for him .. 🙂

Su000 I do hope you’re wrong. There are already about a million characters on GH. Right now we are supposed to rejoice that “Nina is back.” I not only did not know that Nina was gone, I didn’t know she was here to begin with.
I do hope Miller is a recast.

You couldn’t be psychic because you spelled it physic. If you were psychic you would have realized you spelled it wrong and changed it beforehand. LOL.

As much as I like Billy Miller; I think the casting department and writing team need to clean-up the on-slaught of characters on General Hospital, right now. Storylines are being lost in the shuffle and it is difficult to form an attachment to any character, family, or storyline when the show seems to be all over the place.

Agreed. Stories have no flow. We don’t see Rafe for months on end and then suddenly he is a coke addict and possible baby killer. This is a show that told masterful addiction storylines back in the day (Alan, Brenda, AJ etc). Billy Miller is too young to play Jason or AJ. I could see him as Dylan…he has that youthful quirky quality that Dylan had. But knowing this regime…Billy will be cast as some form of murderer/mobster by extension. I hope they give him a role that will allow him to shine. Because Michelle Stafford’s debut has fallen so completely flat it is shocking. The only few little blips I enjoyed were her saying “As if”….which we in Canada have been saying forever…long before Clueless made it a catch phrase. And when she was frustrated with trying to use a cell phone. But the emotional aspect is just not there because, again…we do not know these people!!!!! Two strangers talking about shared memories from 20 years ago does nothing to engage the audience. And there is absolutely zero zilch Nada chemistry between Easton and Stafford. These scenes are life draining…as are Maxie and Levi scenes. The actor who plays Levi looks like he could be funny and charming and they could have set up a real triangle where Maxie and the audience is torn between Nathan/J/James and Levi. But the writing is so heavy handed that Levi is just a douchebag plain and simple. That’s another thing…when you have a new character and are trying to endear him to the audience…don’t give him three names and have different characters call him different names. With all these newbies its confusing enough. When Nina said she would stay with “J”, I actually had to stop and try to think who she was talking about.

I agree Johnny about Michelle Stafford and her role as Nina. Her debut has fallen flat as a pancake. No chemistry with Easton whatsoever. When she’s on, I have to remind myself to look at the television because she frequently loses my attention.

I love Nathan and want him with Maxie. He’s come a long way since he started. Now Levi is the worst character ever! I can’t stand him. Michelle Stafford may have no chemistry with Michael Easton but neither does he with Sam. At least not a romantic one. Just friendship wise. Sam and Silas are boring. I want bad ass Sam back.

I’m so sorry for Michelle stafford… pairing… an no on screen chemistry with Michael Easton’ silas

I mean… C’mon… how monotone and barely their are Silas and Sam

to saddle MS’ Nina with either or after all this time… watching Silas and Sam… who are now on overload… to be given all this material to drive?

I just was never stimulated enough to venture beyond what Silas and Sam have always done… and that’s not much

I really had hoped that MS Nina would be given more time alone to adjust and acclimate herself back in to the living… with physical therapy and psychiatry with KEVIN… and she’d hormone her dig with Kevin… and at least give Roger Howarth some masculine … and stop his stupid antics that Laura Wright’ Carly only seems to deem worthy

i’m 3 eps behind… so I really do hope for the best… as MS is a force to be reckoned with

all this star power… and lackadaisical writing… is suspect and waning

Yes I miss bad ass gun toting Sam. I’m hoping we will be seeing her soon. As for Nina I think we will be seeing the real Nina soon.. I think Nina is going to be a firebrand. Don’t forget she’s one pissed off lady, husband had an affair, mother caused her to lose baby and husband has daughter with ex-lover.

Excellent points, Johnny! Those examples of Nina’s very few and far between charming moments are perfectly encapsulated, as are your other observations. I was never an original MS fan, so I have had a real wait and see attitude regarding “Nina,” but I find her as flat and unappealing as you do….I detect no chemistry with ME either. I think her character is particularly frustrating because you just know that at any given time she is going to explode into a “witch on wheels” (no pun intended….) and that if she cannot already really walk, she will be soon be lurking about in the PC shadows to wreak her havoc, ala Heather Webber, perhaps with the aid of her trusty sidekick nurse, who also gives off some shady vibes! The whole pre-concept of Nina that we were treated to as this soft, effervescent, lovely, woefully missed creature simply doesn’t jive with the casting of Stafford….she is too plain, plus quite harsh and dominant…she won’t be able to keep playing it cool for much longer, and quite frankly, I am not looking forward to when she finally releases her wrath on all those she feels have wronged her. AS IF!…..(and I still say that, too, and I’m not Canadian, so go figure! LOL…) I also agree with you regarding Levi….he has such a built-in ick factor that he is impossible to like. Given the actor’s unique, quirky looks and ability to play with a sunny disposition, he should have been a more Spinelli-esque character….instead there is such a sense of foreboding surrounding him that we the audience don’t dare invest in him or like him even a little bit. I actually have noticed as of late that the actor himself has displayed more timidity and reluctance in his approach, and I have to wonder if it is not due to the almost universal panning he has received thus far. That’s gotta hurt for a guy who is so well-received in his Aussie homeland! Just saying….

I would like to see him as Jason or Dillon Quartermaine, not Jason Morgan.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
