Days Of Our Lives
Bren Foster OUT at DAYS! Schuyler Yancy IN as Celeste's Son!
News from Salem overnight and this morning. Seems Bren Foster is once again out the door at Days of our Lives as Quinn! The actor took to his Twitter account to let his fans and followers know by responding to a fans question as to where he has been on-screen, in which Foster tweeted back, “I’m no longer with DAYS. My career path has moved in a different direction and has me extremely busy.”
However, there are now reports surfacing that DAYS has upped its hunk quotient, from what we are hearing, with the addition of Celeste’s son coming to the canvas! Schuyler Yancy has been cast in the role of Dr. Cameron Davis. As many also know, Beverly Todd is now playing Celeste since Tanya Boyd was unavailable.
We have reached out to DAYS spokesperson who could not comment at this time about the casting changes, but as soon as we have any additional information we will past it along to our soapers!
What do you think of Bren leaving and a new doc coming to town? Let us know!

Steve Kent Reportedly OUT as Sony Pictures Television VP in Charge of DAYS and Y&R
On Friday, reports surfaced that Steve Kent, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming at Sony Pictures Television, is no longer with the company and overseeing the Sony soap operas, Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless.
According to Soap Opera Digest, a set side source reported that Kent’s last day was last Friday, April 12th, which was one day after what would have been his final appearance in his Sony VP role at the Days of our Lives 15,000th episode on set celebration.
During that ceremony, Kent gave a brief speech giving kudos to DAYS for its incredible milestone. Days is a co-production of Sony Pictures Television and Corday Productions, while Y&R is produced by Bell Dramatic Serial Company in association with Sony Pictures Television.
Kent started his soap opera career as a producer for CBS’ defunct Capitol and then as the supervising producer of NBC’s Santa Barbara from1984 to 1993.
At Sony, before his role overseeing the soaps, Kent was Senior Executive Vice President of International Productions for Sony Pictures Television International department.
If reports are true, the question becomes who has taken over his position, and would oversee DAYS and Y&R from the Sony side? Share your thoughts on this developing story via the comment section below.

Y&R’s Hayley Erin Previews Her Role in Horror-Thriller ‘New Life’
I heard Bren was booked on A film and that is why he asked to be released from his contract… It’s a shame. Bren is a good actor but his SL was boring!
Looks like there is no room for a good REAL actor in Soaps these days. I’m sure Bren is happy he is out of that burning bridge. By the looks of things Bren is in a few films coming up
I m new to dool and I dont remember seeing this guy ,Ive been watching since all my children was canceled.just read at, we love soaps that abc won an award for some advertizing thing, what I read I didnt understand what has abc done to deserve anything, when all they did was break the hearts of all the fans of all my children and one life to live.thats alot of people, any way go there and read it ,heather thats a place for you to go and let us know what the hell it all means.because abc treats its costumers like crap.so what did they get an award for?it cant be for intelligence, because I think they made a bad business decision in killing the soaps.it said that abc does good business deals and customer service ,I dont get it who gives out the dumb awards?what customer service every time I write ,call,or email,I get the same stupid answer over and over again.abc has done nothing to satisfy me in any way, even the prime time shows I like ,they tossed out the door.this award makes no sense to me at all.
Seemed Days didn’t know what to do with Bren. They refused to give him a decent storyline. There was potential, but no follow through by the writers.
I’m not totally happy with the “new” Days. Still has probs. The whole Gran has a secret and John and Hope being married is so stupid. I would have rather seen Bren/Quinn in a story, like have him hook up with Abby or Gabi (since there’s really no one else available for him).
Oh well, their (and our) loss.
Don’t know about this new doc. I’m not impressed with the photo posted here.
He is a great actor and movies is the way to go as daytime TV is going down and REALLY FAST. Im happy for him if he is moving onto the big screen. He can be the next Russell Crowe, who is one of the best actors on the planet.
I agree with your comment about the NEW DAYS. Not happy with it either. Its soooooooo boring, I’d rather scratch my nails on a blackboard. EJ and Nicole have totally put me to sleep- watching paint dry is more fum and the Gran storyline is no fun at all.
Good Luck to Bren in his future projects!
I’m with you. Bren is an exceptional actor. His scenes with Vivian and Carly last year were edgy, moving, real. The “new” DOOLs is ridiculous with the Gran/Stefano mystery. I had imagined many possibilities for Bren, using his martial arts skills to help this thoroughly inadequate police dept. round up some criminals, teaching martial arts, etc. How could the writers be so foolish? What they gave him was so bland, so lacking in excitement — lotions and massages? Come on. So far I like nothing about the new DOOLs.
Bren was FANTASTIC with Vivian. That was a great story and had tremendous potential. They could have done something good with Bren, but instead wasted time on Carrie/Rafe and Alice/Stefano secret. Frankly, I wish Stefano had lost his key. It is so ludicrous that Alice would have that key put into a plaque that hadn’t been made yet. How did she have time to make all these provisions? I have fast forwarded through a lot lately.
Since Cam is a doctor, does this mean we’ll see some action in the hospital again? I miss Maxine.
Bren is super hot so will miss having a good look at him, but his sl is SO boring latley can’t blame him for leaving. Actually MOST sl’s are boring and I am really having trouble forcing myself to watch Days anymore.
Totally agree.
Likewise. Your comment is spot on.
WHAT! what a joke! Bren was the best actor on the show, even when the SL was crap!
I’m glad he is to busy for DOOLS, i don’t think he was fired i think he lefts because of other jobs…
i love bren foster!
I like Bren Foster but personally I never realized why he was rehired after they let him go. Quinn really was a one note character & not very likeable IMO except for his few moments w/Carly ^ then Taylor right before they were written out together. It should have been left that way, bringing the character back was pointless without having Vivian or Taylor since he had absolutely no ties to anyone in Salem. The first write out was very well-written, i doubt this second one will live up to it.
I agree, I don’t know why they hired him back after letting go Vivian and Carly, plus Quinn forced Chloe in prostitution! I like the actor, but the character was introduced as scum!
When he finally arrived back on screen, they did nothing with the character. He had NO storyline at all, he just ran the gym. When Johnny was missing, he offered to EJ to help find him. I thought they were going to do something there but it was a dropped story. Maybe that’s when he was fired or got another job or whatever.
I’m sorry the actor lost his job -again, but it really won’t make any impact on the show. In this case, since he hasn’t been seen so long, Quinn not getting an on screen exit would be ok with me.
Good luck in the future, Bren.
going to miss him on days they gave him a boring story on days im glad he is doing films he is a great actor he will be missed
will not be in days of our lives is a shame that they failed to exploit their talent for the character was much more but do not worry is that with his talent and success work not lack
Bye Bren…don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out 😉
Waste of a contract right there….now get rid of the rest of the dead weight (Molly Burnett, Shawn Christian, Casey Deidrick, Galen Gering ect|)
