Christopher Sean Decides To Depart Days of our Lives!
Sad news, Horita and PaulSon fans, Christopher Sean has made the decision to leave his role as Paul Narita on Days of our Lives.
Soap Opera Digest reports that Sean filmed his last episode on May 25th. Christopher decided not to renew his contract with the NBC daytime drama series opting to continue to pursue more primetime and film roles and opportunities.
Ironically, Sean wrapped his final tape date the same day as the exited Marci Miller (Ex-Abigail). As viewers know, because DAYS tapes so far in advance, Sean will be seen on-air through the fall.
Christopher who appeared on primetime’s Hawaii-Five-O is part of the upcoming cast of Disney’s new animated series, Star Wars Resistance.
The actor has played the role of Paul since November of 2014.
So, sad to know Christopher has exited DAYS? How do you hope the story wraps for Paul? Comment below.
This means Sonny and Will reunite…was getting tired of Paul who goes back and forth with Will and Sonny-not a very well written story!!!
Yes, Jimmy, I was just going to post that. I think ‘Paul’s’ departure has been in the works for a while……I got the hint as soon as Will found the journal with the formula to unlock his memories, if you will.
I never liked the triangle either….I can’t say I’m sorry to see Will and Sonny hook up. I have always rooted for them. So happy!!
If you remember, Jimmy, you and I always knew Will, as in Chandler, would be back.
Yep…
I agree Celia, Will and Sonny need to be back together.
Hosanna to that! It’s long overdue for the Will and Sonny wedding to be re-done correctly, with the correct actor playing Will this time.
After that, I’d be good with the show allowing Will and Sonny to remain happily married, without stupid breakup nonsense. Days could break the stereotypical mold by instead portraying a lifetime-enduring gay relationship.
yeah I’m ready for Will and Sonny to reunite also. I want to see them take down Leo, Kate and the lawyer.
I’ve – been – so, impressed with his working with Drake Hogestyn. the mechanics that go in to building a relationship… the nuances…
they developed a believable father/son relationship… this is going to be sad.
I like them together, too, Patrick. They could have killed him off during the Mateo/El Fideo (?) whatever his name was Chloe rescue. Wonder if they’re going to recast…
Hey, rebecca1, did u catch the new episode of NASHVILLE? The countdown is on and things aren’t looking too good! Everyone is either floundering or in major denial.
Hey Soaphound! Not sure if you got my message from a while back but I haven’t watched this season…my cable company dropped the channel! I’m going to wait for it to end then hopefully it’ll be out on DVD; I’ll take it out from the library. So, I’m not following it. Want to be surprised!
Yay! We’re getting emails letting us know we got a reply! I was getting a tad cranky coming here to comb the page to see if I got a reply. LOL: I’d rather do a scavenger hunt in the park!
So many good shows ending. I’m having anticipatory grief over The Originals and currently in mourning over Lucifer. Waiting to find out if Timeless was renewed. Ugh; the “suits” have all the power. 😉
He needs to STAY!!
WITH – these departures… of stellar YOUNG talent…
both Christopher Sean – AND – Marci Miller… HIT !!!! these are bombs… i’m shellacked
I will MISS them terribly. oy! leave my nest, alone ! argh
it’s understandable… they ‘are’ – young . Hollywood beckon
I love my Paul and Abs
Thank all that’s unholy! Now they can stop creating ridiculous roadblocks between Will & Sonny.
As for Christopher, I’m sure things will work out great for him. He had a great recurring role on “Hawaii Five O” for several seasons, so he obviously has credibility in the primetime TV world (something which sadly eludes many soap actors)
I’d like to see Paul get a “happy” sendoff, rather than killing him off, since there’s always a chance to bring him back in the future. If he was going to die, the best opportunity for that would have been the recent storyline in Mexico, where he could have ate a bullet to save his dad and/or Chloe.
Maybe he should resurrect his baseball career? He’s certainly young enough for that to be a credible exit, and one that leaves the door open for a future return without any more convoluted “back from the dead” stories.
I’m not surprised. Christopher Sean is a very talented young actor who will go places. In my opinion, Paul has limited potential as a character. If Will gets his memory back and reunites with Sonny, there is no one left for Paul and no reason for him to stick around town. He is a grown man and doesn’t need to live in the same town as this father and half-brother. He should go and make a life for himself.
I will certainly miss Christopher. He’s done a great job with Paul. I wish him much success in the future.
Christopher Sean is a good actor and a great presence. If he wants to strike out on his own, now is the time. I wish him well (he was terrific as the evil Gabriel Waincroft on HAWAII FIVE-O) and he’ll always be welcome on daytime. Y&R sure could use him!
As long as he doesn’t eventually end up in Port Charles…He does possess that “look” so overwhelmingly favored by the showunners.
I think he’ll be back, give it a year I’d say. I do think he is talented enough to break into primetime but it is a hard road and I can see him missing the steady pay check and coming back like many before him. His first contract expired so him moving on for a bit and seeking out other opportunities is similar to pretty much the entire cast at some point, recently Chandler, Freddie, Kate and Camila have all done the same thing and returned.
I think Paul is needed on the canvas. If anything his is primed to take over after John. In terms of Will and Sonny, regardless if it is Paul or not; Will and Sonny will not be happy forever. This is a soap opera, if a couple is happy they’re either offscreen or back burnt. There will be someone else, if it isn’t Paul. I think Will and Sonny don’t work anymore, and I say that as someone who enjoyed the couple in the past, so personally I have no interest watching them together. I do think Christopher will be back, or ultimately Paul will be recast. There will be too much drama not to explore Will and Paul further once WilSon is stabilized after a short reuinion. It’s almost like an anvil waiting to fall.
I wish him the very best. I am upset since he is one of the few younger actors that can act, but I’m certain he’ll be back, similar to how I felt when Chandler left the first time so I’ll look forward to his return in the future.
Another Days star decides to quit.Um I wonder who will be the next one to leave.I am shocked I wonder if they will do a recast.
And after the shows wins the Emmy for Best Drama and the ratings are great. At least we get actors returning, even if they are short visits like Theresa, Sami and Nicole.
He sees that Sonny and Will is falling for each other again, which hurts Paul. At the same time he hears from his mother that she is very ill, so he decides to leave Salem to go to be with his mother. Also to release Will so he could be with Sonny.
That’s unfortunate. I am ready for Will and Sonny to reunite and Paul would be good for the story since Will has new feelings and love for Paul. Hopefully the show can recast him with a great actor. If not, another guy to add to the mix would be great. In my dreams it would be JJ or Tripp lol.
Agreed — an interesting dream. However, most combinations between Will, Sonny, JJ and Tripp would be between first cousins. Of course, that wouldn’t really matter, other than the general ick factor. (I guess if it was good enough for European royalty…)
I hope he exists with a loving goodbye due to his work location. Like how Theo exited due to health reasons far away.
Can’t say I’m surprised. I always knew that once he got the chance to play a character who is gay that he would want to move on to other characters. He did good on the show and I hope he does just as well in any other project he lands on.
I choose to believe that the character of Paul will be offscreen somewhere enjoying companionship with eager bellhop Derrick.
I don’t blame him really for vacating the role of Paul – Paul goes nowhere, does nothing except (although he is likable) come between Sonny and Will – it’s like he’s on the same Merry-Go-Round – an actor wants his character to expand and do other things, it would have been more interesting if Paul had met someone else and Will had to really pursue him.
Paul was the only thing consistently holding my interest. No desire to see Paul hurt again by the Will/Sonny story line. I wish Christopher Sean the best but I doubt I’ll stick around to watch it now.
