Recently, several cast members from Peacock’s Days of our Lives participated in the annual Day of Days event which featured fans getting the opportunity to meet their favorites from Salem up close and personal.

During the day, Michael Fairman TV had the opportunity to speak to several duos (and a trio) on the latest developments with their characters and storylines, and, of course, we were treated to lots of inside intel and lots of laughs.

All of the interviews can be found on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel here, as well as below in this post.  If you don’t see your favorites represented here, it is because they either were pulled to go outside to meet their fans, did not attend, or they may have been called for a break for lunch, just when it was our turn for a chance to speak to them.

Brandon Barash (Stefan), Eric Martsolf (Brady) and Wally Kurth (Justin) – In addition to appearing on DAYS, Brandon, Eric and Wally along with Carson Boatman (Johnny) comprise The Days Players Band. Here, the trio discuss creating their set list and musical tastes. Later, Wally and Eric shares their thoughts of the emotional scenes during Victor’s memorial service as the long-running soap opera pay tribute to the late John Aniston. Wally also weighs-in on the scenes where Justin finds out that Alex is Victor’s son, and more.

Peter Porte (Dimitri) and Greg Rikaart (Leo) – During the discussion, Peter and Greg weigh-in on: the fallout from Gwen (Emily O’ Brien) finding out that the Dimitri and Leo were fooling around and were in love behind her back, plus their upcoming caper and storyline teased in the explosive Days of our Lives winter promo, where somehow Leo and Dimitri get caught up in the Nicole (Arianne Zucker) baby switch scandal.

Tamara Braun (Ava) and Stacy Haiduk (Kristen/Susan) – Tamara weighs-in on how Ava is being blackmailed by Clyde to run a drug ring, plus the chance to work with Steve Burton (Harris) again after they both appeared together on General Hospital as Carly and Jason. Stacy shares her emotional distress upon learning her character, Susan Banks, was going to be ‘killed off’, but was happy to eventually find out she was coming back to the show. Plus, she delves into how Kristen is reacting now that Tate is back in Salem, when after all, she gave birth to him, and he was originally named, “Christopher.”

Linsey Godfrey (Sarah) and Paul Telfer (Xander) – In story, Sarah and Xander are heading towards a custody battle over their child. Paul explains how much Xander wants payback, and if he was disappointed to originally find out that Alex was the biological son of the late Victor Kiriakis, not Xander. But as DAYS viewers know from the recently released winter promo, could be that Xander is truly Victor’s biological son? Linsey shares what it was like to be on the set when the cast delivered their touching performances during Victor Kiriakis’ memorial service, while paying tribute to the late John Aniston, and more.

Elia Cantu (Jada) and Galen Gering (Rafe) – Elia and Galen weigh-in as to why the Salem PD can’t keep the criminals in town behind bars! In addition, the duo speak on Jada and Rafe’s love connection and more.

Emily O’Brien (Theresa and ex-Gwen) and Rob Scott Wilson (Alex) – Emily shares what it was like having to say goodbye to the character of Gwen and then quickly pivoting into the shoes of Theresa Donovan; plus how she is adjusting to her new role, and what she has learned about the character. Rob discusses the pivotal moment for his character of Alex; where he learns that Victor Kiriakis is his biological father, and not Justin. Wilson also shares what it was like working with the legendary John Aniston, plus what to look forward to coming up as Alex and Theresa make a hot new pairing in Salem.

Carson Boatman (Johnny) and Raven Bowens (Chanel) – During the conversation, Carson discusses the love life of his soap alter ego, and the relationship between Johnny and Chanel, plus his love for being a part of the cast of the iconic soap opera. Raven weighs-in on Chanel being a sexually fluid character on daytime, who is now in a romance with Johnny, but was formerly involved in a relationship with his sister, Allie, and let’s not forget, the the two women had a fling with Alex Kiriakis.

Jackée Harry (Paulina) and James Reynolds (Abe) – Jackée shares her view on people doing impressions of her, what she thought of the recent Abe kidnapping story featuring Kim Coles, plus working with her on-screen daughter Raven Bowens (Chanel). James weighs-in on Abe’s plight, where he still is suffering from amnesia, and what the future may hold.

Dan Feuerriegel (EJ) and Remington Hoffman (Li) – Dan weighs-in on why EJ is the best of all the DiMera children to lead the company, while Remington talks on playing contentious frenemies. Remington also shares what drives Li when it comes to Gabi, Stefan, and business, while Dan talks on his recent Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and more.

Lucas Adams (Tripp) and Victoria Grace (Wendy) – Lucas shares memories of his real-life wedding to wife Shelby, and where he thinks the relationship between Tripp and Wendy is going.  In addition, he shares what it is like being one of the only doctors at University Hospital, plus working again with Tamara Braun as his on-screen mother.  Victoria shares how the character of Wendy has undergone some changes over the year, and how she feels about her soap opera alter ego’s life in the romance department.

ARE SOAP MORE RELEVANT IN 2026?

With the daytime soaps being mentioned in the mainstream of late, including a recent New York Times essay, Ryan Gosling’s high praise of Days of Our Lives icon Deidre Hall (Marlena), Late night host, John Oliver asking to be cast on a soap after doing a bit on his show, it seems daytime drama may be culturally relevant again, or is it really?

During the chat not only will we get Sheri’s takes on all the series she wrote for, but also ask, “Why soaps? Why now?” Why are audiences rediscovering/missing emotionally-connected storytelling? What did our genre provide viewers emotionally? And what has current programming gained technically but lost emotionally?

Join us with your comments and questions for Sheri in the live chat, as we talk the pros and cons of today’s daytime soap opera and daytime television landscape and delve into Sheri’s soap writing history and the characters she created or had a penchant for and learn about her new endeavors and outside projects.
