Days Of Our Lives
DAYS Cast Victoria Konefal As Their New Ciara!
36
As long as she can act…
Vivian could act, but she had a dry sense of acting, which would work well in comedy, but not in something as drama-filled as a soap opera.
Disagree. She could not act.
Exactly…
Yeah…Vivian did not connect with the audience, in my opinion.
This girl is very pretty…but, that attribute does not guarantee a good acting presence.
So, as I do any newcomer, I will give her the benefit of the doubt.
Amen.
Vivian can act. The problem is that she was miscast in the role of Ciara.
Leaves me wondering why they felt the need to re-cast this character.
Frankly, the young actress who portrayed this character a few years ago did very believable acting. They’d be better off going back to that actress, even if it would require de-aging her character back to where she otherwise would be age-wise.
To bring her back they would have to de-age the rest of the teen cast, and I don’t see that happening. SORAS is a natural part of soap operas.
As well as everyone else who were aged up as well. I want to see Johnny, Allie and Sydney still be in their preteens 9-12 years old.
I agree, I’d rather have that original actress back instead also. It was so stupid to recast Ciara and age her 10 years.
Lauren Boles was great in the part. She was slightly devilish and fun and had more acting capability than the teen scene of the past two+ years.
agree – there is no Ciera Alice without Lauren Boles. isn’t she the best.
it’s all they have to do… we distend our belief … why not de-soras her.
if anything… Lauren Boles made Hope better. Lauren Boles made Hope bearable
with all due respect to Victoria Konefal, I wish you the BEST BEST TIME . “you” are , on the best show in daytime.
Days of OUR Lives ROCKS
I keep forgetting… why not bring Lauren Boles back as one of Maggies grand daughters ?
As long as she can actually act, I will be okay with her– by her photo she reminds me a bit of the actress who play Carrie when she was younger–
She did remind me of someone…and you are right…from the picture she does resemble her!
I see it after you said that!
Congratulations to Victoria. Welcome aboard.
Hmmm! December, huh? From my calculations, is DAYS shortening their pre-tape schedule? I hope so!
She’s been taking since last month, so they’re still [unfortunately] 5-6 months ahead of airtime.
She looks great and will be a great match to contrast with her Niece when it comes to love triangles.
A beautiful new addition. I hope they pair her with Tripp.
Pass. N-e-x-t……….
I hope she can act.
I’m always willing to give a recast a chance. Having said that, this show needs to recognize and react much more quickly when an actor is obviously not cutting it.
I thought she did a pretty good job in her scenes with Kyler Pettis in the raw footage he released as his last DAYS scenes which were uploaded to Vimeo.
Lets hope this chic, can act. I have to say she is a pretty lady.
is Kyle Pettis still on DAYS ? Theo Carver ? saw something on yahoo that he’s on his way out. this is NOT good. at all.
Abe and Lexie ( w/Valerie ) son…. WE NEED THIS SOLID charismatic actor.
Well, Patrick, it seems Kyler Pettis may have been let go because he posted his “final scenes to Vimeo where he then took the video down. I saw the raw video along with many other fans. That video leak may have been the reason why DAYS confirmed the new Ciara, because Kyler’s final scenes include Ciara as well as Claire. Those scenes also spoiled storyline. The sad thing is…DAYS may have been planning to bring Kyler back as Theo, but he may have screwed his chances of returning by stooping as low as giving spoilers of many points spanning six… Read more »
*”final scenes”
Vivian was a terrible actress. So bad in fact that I had to ff through every single scene she was in. I am wondering if they reason they cast her in the first place was because she looked similar to a young Susan Seaforth Hayes. Seriously, go back and look it up.
Hopefully, better than the last one….a popsicle stick with a wig would have been a better actress.
I just watched the clip. She absolutely can act, very impressive from what I can tell. Glad they took their time to find the right actress for the role. Days is definitely on a roll, hope they can keep it up !
Well the fans certainly have been outspoken (and at times, somewhat unkind) regarding the dramatic capabilities of the previous actress who portrayed this character. Frankly, I don’t really see the need for a re-cast but okay, Hope is a major character and I guess they feel her daughter should be on the scene. My question is, whatever became of the son of Chase who was accused of assaulting Ciara? He was sent to a mental sanitarium, but it’s my understanding that the young actor who played the role had some unkind things to say about the people behind the scenes… Read more »
Correction – I meant to say what became of the son of AIDEN whose name was Chase ~ sorry ’bout that –
She’s stunning! Perfect replacement, now let’s just hope she can act. The previous actress was too green, hopefully this young lady has some experience!!! Good luck gorgeous.
