DAYS February Love Promo – What couple are you rooting for?

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Days of our Lives has released a second on-air promo with their February Hearts and Love theme featuring some of Salem’s favorite, infamous, or upcoming new couples on the show.
From Maggie and Victor, Will and Gaby, EJ and Taylor, Daniel and Carly, Kate and Stefano, Phillip and Chloe, to Bo and Hope, each type of love is featured in this spot.
But the big question On-Air On-Soaps wants to know from you DAYS fan is: What couple are you rooting for to get together and stay together in Salem? And yes, Sami/Rafe, Sami/Rafe 2 and Sami/EJ are not referenced in this clip but they are also, as we know possibilities for couples to root for, or root against. And what about Melanie/Nathan?

The June 22 episode of Days of Our Lives reminded us all of why Deidre Hall is iconic in the role of Dr. Marlena Evans. Here we are 50 years later, and Marlena is still the heroine of the long-running soap opera, and Deidre remains one of the most most recognizable names in the history of soaps.
To pay tribute, and to look back at the life and times of Marlena, the story starts with Marlena flipping through a photo album of her with John (the late Drake Hogestyn) over the years. As she misses him dearly, she gets a knock on the door and its none other than John’s son, Paul Narita (Christopher Sean).
With Andrew (Colton Little) in Salem working on a case, he sits down with Marlena, who says she can’t believe its been fifty years since she first arrived in Salem! Cue: Deidre’s first scenes on DAYS when she finds Mickey Horton (the late John Clarke) playing chess against himself inside the mental institution she worked.

THE FLASHBACKS OF MARLENA’S LIFE
From there, viewers definitely got the cliff notes version of the history of Marlena and entrenched within them, some of the biggest moments in Deidre’s enduring run.
Paul thinks he is looking at 70s, and early 80s Marlena while going through her scrapbook, but he is actually looking at her twin, Samantha (Andrea Hall). Cue: when Marlena confronted Samantha about impersonating her, and then later getting a call on her radio show from the Salem Strangler (Jack Coleman as Jake Kostichek) who killed Samantha thinking it was Marlena.
In the present, Belle (Martha Madison) has arrived at this time to meet up with Paul, unaware of this trip down memory lane. She wants to go over the findings in the chess board mystery Stefano willed to Marlena and John, in private with him, since Marlena previously said she wanted nothing to do with it.
Back to the history lesson, Marlena speaks highly of Don Craig and even though their marriage didn’t work out, she could find a path forward with the new love her life, Roman Brady. (Wayne Northrop however is never shown, possibly to keep the story focused on John as Roman for confusion sakes?)
Paul sees a photo of a young Carrie (Christie Clark) in the album and Marlena says she was such a godsend after losing her baby. In fact, Marlena says caring for Carrie prepared her for her having and raising her own twins, Eric and Sami. Cue: The twin visiting Marlena in the hospital.
JOHN AND MARLENA’S LOVE CONQUERED ALL
Then, in a way to get through and incorporate the wild storylines only Marlena could have been in, she tells Belle and Paul, she has been through so much in her life, how lucky she was to find John, and some of the most unbelievable experiences no one could imagine. Cue: Marlena possessed by the devil and levitating from the bed. Next, John confronting Marlena being the Salem Stalker, where she admits she killed Alice Horton, pretends she needs help, then pulls a gun on her beloved John!
The comment is made by Paul and Marlena, that she literally has been to hell and back and she could not have survived were it not for her beloved John. Cue the big emotional highpoint clips; The Pier Scene! Marlena steps out of the fog when John sees her from a distance. After believing she was dead for four years, here she was before him in one of the greatest reunions in a soap opera love story in history. What followed were other times of the life of times of Jarlena.

MARLENA’S ‘GIFT’ FROM STEFANO HAS A NEW CLUE
When Marlena makes a brief exit to the other room, Belle fills in Paul on the chess set Stefano left her mother and the photo of the Lire. Paul said he will investigate. Marlena comes back into the room and overhears, and says to promise her if things get dangerous he will back off, she does not want anyone hurt by Stefano’s games.
As the episode comes to a conclusion, it’s just Belle and Marlena going through the photo album giggling about 70s hairstyles and all the memories. Belle speaks on the impact Marlena has had in everyone’s lives, and that she is both the heart of their family and the heart of Salem.
An end card comes up acknowledging Deidre Hall’s 50th anniversary as Marlena, and we fade to black.

If you have ever tuned-in to the soap opera genre over the last 50 years, and witnessed some of the greatest romances, drama, classic and outlandish storylines of all-time, you would have seen Deidre Hall smack dab in the middle of it as longtime Salem heroine, Dr. Marlena Evans.
It was 50 years on this date, June 21, 1976 that Hall first appeared on DAYS on NBC which was its home for 57 years before it moved to its current streaming platform on Peacock in September of 2022.
In Hall’s first episode she was introduced as a psychiatrist treating Mickey Horton (John Clarke) at Bayview Sanitarium after he suffered a complete mental breakdown. Mickey learned that his brother Bill Horton (Edward Mallory) was the biological son of Mike Horton (Wesley Eure) with his wife Laura (Susan Flannery) and that he had been lied to for years and years. From that moment on, the rest is television and soap opera history. Days of Our Lives put Hall front and center.

There were so many heartbreaking and shocking story twists involving the beloved Marlena. One of the first was the historic crib death of baby DJ (Don Jr.) in 1980, Marlena’s infant son with Don Craig (Jed Allan). The story had never been told on daytime television and Hall’s performances received accolades from TV critics to fans when Deidre received thousands of letters from grieving mothers who had gone through the same thing in their own lives.
DAYS also brought Deidre’s twin sister, Andrea Hall Lovell to the show as her on-screen sister Samantha, who had a grudge and even locked Marlena up in a sanitarium and took her place! Fast-forward and in 1982, DAYS launched the Salem Strangler story where everyone believed Marlena was his next victim, only it turned out to be Samatha. Jake Kositchek (played by Jack Coleman) was revealed to be the actual serial killer.
Later, Deidre would assume the role of Marlena’s look-alike, Hattie Adams in 2004, once played by her sister, Andrea. Over the years, Hattie has come back to Salem and caused trouble giving Hall a chance to play a different type of character, then the always upstanding Marlena.

THE LOVES OF MARLENA
Deidre Hall struck gold with all her leading men: from the late Jed Allan, to Wayne Northrop as Roman Brady, and of course, her enduring love story with the late John Black played by the iconic Drake Hogestyn. In fact, Marlena’s 1986 wedding to John (who was believed to be Roman at the time) remains a favorite of fans to this day.
TOP MARLENA STORYLINES OF ALL-TIME
While the list is long, here are several that were some of the memorable during Deidre’s five decades in Salem!
The Possession (1994- 1995)
Considered one of the most ambiguous, outlandish and unforgettable story arcs in soap opera history, then Days of Our Lives head writer, James Reilly went there! Marlena was possessed by the devil! That included; the demonic eyes, hissing at father John (Black) the priest, morphing into creatures, and the classic levitating in her bed! It became a cultural phenomenon and cemented Deidre Hall’s status as a daytime television legend. Just ask Ryan Gosling!

The Affair with John Black (1993)
John and Marlena’s forbidden love could not be denied and they had passionate affair, while she was still married to the real Roman. Problem was her daughter, Sami (Alison Sweeney) caught her mother having sex with John on a desk that changed Sami forever.
The Salem Stalker Mystery (2003-2004)
In a shocker, Marlena was revealed to be a serial killer who bumped off several Salem favorites residents who were all alive on the island of Melaswen (spelled “New Salem” backward). Turns out, she was manipulated and gaslighted by Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) to do the “killings” and had no memory of her actions.
The Pier Scene (1991)
This remains Michael Fairman TV’s all-time favorite Deidre Hall moment, which featured some of the best acting in the storied careers of both Hall and Drake Hogestyn.
In the story, a presumed-dead Marlena returns after four years. One foggy night on the pier, John is alone, and Marlena steps out of the fog to reveal herself, and is reunited with the love of her life. You can watch it any year, any decade, and in any moment, and it will have you reaching for the hankies again and again. (best music score fo a soap scene of all-time too!)

Kristen’s Secret Room Reveal (1997)
Marlena was caught in Kristen Blake’s (Eileen Davidson) elaborate web of lies, when she was held hostage in a secret wine cellar/room until John managed to track her down, leading to an iconic on-screen reunion. The classic catfight between Hall and Eileen Davidson was one for the ages.
It should be noted that Maison Blanche, Queen of the Night, Possession, Aremid and Lady in a Cage were all a part of classic DAYS storyline and all featured Hall at the epicenter of it from 1993-1996.
THE RECENT YEARS OF MARLENA
In recent years, DAYS brought back the possession 2.0 storyline under then head writer Ron Carlivati in 2021 where the devil leapt back in Marlena after taking advantage of a frail Doug Williams (the late Bill Hayes)
In 2025, viewers watched the end of the love story of John and Marlena, as John succumbed to injuries sustained in an explosion saving a vial of medication needed to bring Bo (Peter Reckell) back to life. Marlena has been a widow on-screen since June of 2025 as Hall as portrayed the good doctor struggling with her grief and to move on with her life since his death.

One story that never goes away is Stefano DiMera’s (the late Joe Mascolo) obsession with Marlena, his “Queen of the Night.” Even in death, Stefano is toying with her from the great beyond with the mysterious chess set and the missing “pawn,” that he had gifted John and Marlena in his will. The mystery is currently unfolding on all-new episodes of Days of Our Lives.

Al Calderon Reflects on ‘Major Chapters’ Coming to an End on ‘Days of Our Lives’ and ‘Brilliant Minds’
It’s been a bittersweet time for Al Calderon. The talented actor/singer/songwriter has watched from his vantage point to roles he loved so much come to their conclusion for different reasons.
In a heartfelt message posted to his Instagram story on Saturday, Calderon took a moment to share how grateful he was for the opportunity to play Javi Hernandez on Days of Our Lives, and nurse Nico Silva this year on NBC’s second season of Brilliant Minds. Currently, Brilliant Minds has two more episodes that will air on June 24 and the series finale on July 1.
Calderon expressed, “As I sit here reflecting on this lovely Saturday afternoon over the last two years of my life, I have two major chapters closing that have been part of my life every day for the last two years. We have Brilliant Minds. Our last episodes are wrapping up, and then my last scenes aired yesterday as me as Javi on Days of Our Lives.

“I’m just unbelievably grateful for the chance and the opportunity to be a part of something so much larger than me,” continued Al. “I (will) love Days of Our Lives forever, my family. Thank you for supporting me and supporting my decision to take the leap of faith and believe in myself and, and tell other stories. You know, it’s never goodbye. It’s always ‘see you later’ to me and just leaving with love and leading with love.”
Al concluded with a special mention to some very important people, the fans: “Thank you to the fans and the support from everyone, the lovely messages. So this next chapter, hopefully it’s not a dragon, hopefully it’s a gold coin.”

Calderon’s journey on-screen on Days of Our Lives began in October of 2024 and concluded this month. In one of his last appearances Javi was asking a favor from Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) before bumping into his ex, Leo (Greg Rikaart). In story, Javi has a new romance with Gus (Michael Ocampo), while fighting his feelings for Leo. The role of Javi will be played starting on June 30 by Jacob Martinez who takes over the role.
NBC decided to cancel the Brilliant Minds, after it split up the airing of its second season which began in the fall of September of 2025 and the back-half started airing after a long break this past May. Calderon joined the medical drama staring Zachary Quinto for the new season, which sadly was its last.

I root for good writing first
If i can choose the pairs that i want to see on Vday that would be Brady/Chloe Broe always has been my fav couple every now and then they have this little scene that keep me waiting for more there’s a lot to explore about what happen between us in vienna
I also root for Ej/Sami mostly because of the crazy chemistry between james and ali i would want the writers to give them a real chance
I love Bope , State and Magic wish they were more on screen
Mate is hard to enjoy knowing that’s going to end soon 🙁
I loved Carly & Lawrence, so I’d never root for Carly & Daniel – besides CC and SC have anti-chemistry together, on the awkward scale they’re a perfect 10 together. Both excellent actors but they a zero in the romance department. Especially compared to Daniel & Chloe who have the most amazing chemistry even though their storyline never got much time & attention.
I love Carly with Lawrence too, bring him back.

I’m just not seeing Gabi and Will as a couple, why any girl be into Will is beyond me, ugh. My teenager doesn’t think much of Will either, she thinks he’s too whiny and boring.
Though I am happy about Victor/Maggie and Stefano/Kate the most exciting couple on that promo is Philip diving in to save Chloe. Philip could dive in to save me anyday, lol!!! Why Ken Corday and Dena Higley didn’t have the common sense to utilize Jay Johnson more is beyond me, this is Days and the viewers loss. Here was this big paternity storyline where he’s the father of Chloe’s baby and it featured Daniel and Melanie. Blah! I am going to miss JKJ as Philip I hope he lands a great role on prime time.
Happy for Bo and Hope, it will be interesting seeing what happens between them but poor Carly. I guess Daniel and Carly are going to be put together, at least she isn’t his patient.
Don’t care about Taylor I hope they don’t stick her with Ej since she is such a goody-goody. Miss Brady and Nicole together, they were exciting to watch.
EJAMI they should have been in the promo DOOL keeps missing the boat on one of the best couples they have! The best couple ever IMO with the hottest chemistry between two charaters, my hope is that DOOL’s writers wake up and start to write for this great couple before they lose alot of their viewers. I will never buy EJ and Sami with anyone else when EJAMI’s love story has yet to be written.
EJ and Taylor have me so excited!

Oh, gee the rape argument again: how stunningly refreshing (sarcasm)…
First of all, there’s been rape before (eg: L & L on GH; L & B on DOOL) so if the will is there, tptb can turn it around if they want it to. Those couples became very popular and were even “supercouples” on those cited soaps. EJami, on the other hand, have NEVER had the writing in their favor, nevertheless, they have a massive following…
Second, as you STILL don’t realise: a couple does NOT make or break the show! There are other factors that contribute to a ratings increase or decline (eg: storylines, pacing, weather, etc). Furthermore, the ratings are in the crapper at the moment and is EJami anywhere in sight? Nope, as mememe mentioned, they have never been further apart and from the looks of things they won’t be in the cards anytime in the near future (since tiic are hellbent on destroying them).

Criss hit the nail on the head. EJ and Sami with the extraordinary chemistry James Scott & Alison Sweeney share are compelling & charasmatic together with unlimited potential. It is so hard to comprehend why TPTB don’t capitalize on this goldmine they’ve got with them. EJ and Sami are the couple I just can’t ever give up on. When something is so natural & engaging as what EJ & Samantha share nothing else will do. They get my vote & always will.
I will always vote for and want Ejami!!! The chemistry and connections between Alison and James far outshines ANY combination with either actor!!
Time for an EJami payoff. Everyone else and his brother have had one.
EJ and Taylor…start from scratch…so many possibilities. I never want to see Ejami on my screen again…I am so tired of the wash, rinse, and repeat.
Also Philip/Chloe…they have always belonged together..

EJ’s heart is Sami’s. And vice versa. She needs to remember who she is and stop being afraid to embrace how she feels. Taylor? Sorry, not buying it. I’d also like to see Carly and Lawrence and Jennifer and Jack—wishful thinking maybe.
Finally, something for this EJ fan to be excited about! I’m looking forward to and rooting for EJ and Taylor! I’m tired of watching EJ pine for a woman that doesn’t love him and has never made him her first choice-EJ deserves better! I want to see EJ in love with a woman that will unabashedly love him with her whole heart and shout it to the world regardless of him being a DiMera! James Scott, the Four-Peat Adonis should always be in a romantic story! GO EJames and GO EJaylor!
I want to see Brady/Nicole together again. I cannot understand why the show just threw away that pairing when he and Nicole sizzle together. The fact that Nicole was placed with EJ just to be a spoiler to EJ/Taylor just stinks. I want Nicole back with Brady ASAP!!!!

Your statement “get together and stay together in Salem” poses a problem for me because Days doesn’t do “stay together”.. They put people together briefly so that they can tear them apart. And for me, personally, their disrespect for the institution of marriage is offensive, especially considering Day’s illustrious past.
Melanie and Philip married although, on the eve of her wedding, Melanie was writing letters to Nathan inquiring about his feelings. Then shortly after the wedding Philp committed adultery because he “thought” Melanie had betrayed him.. They had Dr. Dan marry Chloe so that Dan, who is no angel himself, could reject Chloe for her infidelity… to heck with his marriage vows. They had Sami ready to marry EJ as payback for Rafe “sleeping” with Nicole (or so she thought), only to, weeks later, confuse her children by marrying Rafe. And now they are having EJ marry someone he doesn’t love to set the scene for his falling in love with another woman…
The fact that the writers are so cavalier about the promises two people make at the altar is not only offensive, it is a testament to how inept the writers are. They use infidelity in marriage as “faux angst” because they can’t create real angst for their characters. Just this Friday, Bo said to Hope , in a most “manly” fashion, “let’s go home” after the scales fell from their eyes; and Bo decided his year-long, adulterous relationship with Carly was a mistake; and Hope decided she was not so angry with Bo after all and perhaps Chiara deserved to have her family intact.. What made my jaw drop was the fact that the writers used such a classic phrase in such an inappropriate way… But Day’s writers are masters of the inappropriate.
Thus, I suggest that there are no couples that meet your initial criteria on Days because Days doesn’t believe in love, marriage, fidelity, romance, happiness or forever after… They believe in lust, adultery, meaningless promises, perpetual triangles and musical beds… But in a world other than Days, I would definitely say EJ and Sami would have every other couple beat by light years… JMO

I want EJ and Sami to finally be given a real chance. I have never been so in love with a couple before and find it maddening that TPTB are totally blind to the gold they have in these two. The chemistry meter is off the charts and unfortunately makes any other pairing seem pathetically bland by comparison.
I say bring on Ej and Taylor. Ej needs a woman in his life that isnt like Sami or Nicole. Ej and Taylor forever. I liked what I have already seen between them. Bring on more Ejaylor.
Keep Sami and Nicole away from Ej.

I would love to see Chad and Will, their chemistry is off the charts hot! Not to mention, how perfect would it be to have another DiMera/Brady “forbidden love” story?!?!
Nathan and Melanie should find their way back to each other and preferably with Mark Hapka! Molly and Mark were made for those roles.

I am loving the Stefano/Kate & Victor/Maggie pairings. They are perfect matches for each other.

EJ and Sami. I can’t believe what the writers have done to EJ so that Taylor can come in and humanize him when we’ve already seen that happen with Sami.

I want to see EJ and Sami back together. I am not excited about Taylor with EJ. It seems false and too juvenile for me. EJAMI share children and need to be together rasing them. Its time for Sami to recognize that she has no children with Rafe and to stop making him the father figure when her children already have fathers. Rafe has made Sami a boring character something I never thought possible. Bring back the romance and excitement that is EJAMI.
if you look up the words chemistry, magic, riveting, compelling, sizzling, love you will find EJAMI. They have it why try and force something dead on viewers when you struck gold with James and Ali. give them a real chance Corday. Also love Brady and Nicole, Daniel and Chloe, Kate and Stefano and Maggie and Victor. am happy with either bope or Carbo but first and foremost give us EJami and soon please.
The couple I would love to see the only couple that I have invested so much of myself in, the only couple I found mesmerizing……EJ and Sami….aww the possibilities.

I want them returned to their former glory – before Dena Higley and crew got their grubby hands on them and tried to destroy them utterly. The chemistry between the two actors make any other attempted pairings an insult to my intelligence. The fact that EJami have never been given any kind of serious attempt is the elephant in the room of every other relationship they have and it is bloody distracting!
I’m tired of the writers manipulating this viewer. Instead of writing strong couples they simply nobble other pairings to make them unrootable for (yes I’m aware that isn’t a word but these writers are bucking for it to become one).
I’m gritting my teeth against this latest ‘great’ romance KC says he has planned for EJ. It will no doubt be so over the top and forced as they beat us around the head and command us to ‘feel the chemistry’ between this new pairing, just as they did with Sami’s latest pairing. I’m sick of being told how I am going to feel about every new pairing and who I should root for. Sami’s latest pairing is a perfect example of having something shoved down your throat over and over again with OTT writing and vilifying everyone else to support it. It’s lazy, sloppy writing and I’m expecting more of the same for this latest ‘wonder pairing’ of KC’s. God give me strength!
Watching the manipulative writing of turning EJ into a monster just so KC’s latest bright idea can ‘save’ him is turning me right off. It is so obvious what the writers are trying to do and it is very hard to remain open to a pairing when you are being backed up against a wall from the very start. It’s hard to remain open minded when we’ve had three years of these writers and we all know what passes for ‘romance’ with these guys – cheesy, puerile or sexing each other up endlessly. There is never any kind of story written around these pairings and the only ones that have a shot are ones with history from previous writing teams like EJami, Bope and Carbo. If you’re looking for these writers to create a story from scratch between characters that you can get lost in and fall in love with then you should know by now, you’re going to be waiting a looonnnnggg time.
Besides, what does it matter to root for anyone because at the drop of a hat they will reinvent the characters, drop s/l’s and change history to suit their latest plot point. I can’t get to know these characters because they turn on a dime without any explanation so why should I care about who they are with?
But I do care about EJ and Sami because of what they were under a different creative team and the way Ali and James just come to life around each other. So for me I will always adore EJami and hope and pray we will one day get writers with enough vision and balls to give them to us.

You said it all so eloquently I would like to see EJAMI given a chance. The trouble with theses writers imo is nothing is ever resolved The shooting Johnny’s cancer what about the family dealing with the chemo the doctors said he would need. EJAMI should be together dealing with issues not sexing it up These writers have done all they can to destroy EJAMI but because of the on screen chemistry between JS & AS all other pairings fail. For now I have tuned out because there is no story I am interested in and I will not give KC & Company my ratings
I agree with everything you said, Lou!! The writers need to drink some caffiene, stop meditating and do some REAL writing.( BTW: I feel that Taylor is TOO young for EJ…she seems more suited to Phillip or Will or Nathan or something. But EJ? I don’t think so. It sort of creeps me out a little.)
I agree with you abut TPTB turning EJ into a monster over the last couple of years. I remember when Sami was trying to be a “good Brady” but had this tough, though somewhat evil side to her and EJ tried to be a “evil Dimera” but had this good side to him. THAT WAS POWERFUL!! What the HELL is going on over there? KC get a clue!

Beyond a doubt EJ and Sami is what I want to see. The dynamic pairing of James and Alison have the most chemistry than any other couple on this show just wish that TPTB would quit being so biased in their own interpretation of the story lines.

EJ and Taylor! It’s time for EJ to be in a real relationship for a change. Sami has broken his heart too many times and Nicole betrayed him in the worst possible way. EJ needs a fresh start with someone who will love him unconditionally, and I’m hoping that Taylor will be that person!
The only reason I started watching this show again was for Ejami…the most chemistry any couple on daytime has ever had would be JS & AS portrayal of EJ & Sami. I stopped watching in September and will NOT return unless they are paired with one another. I can’t stand to see Sami with thsat loser and definitely am disgusted that EJ would go back to that HO! I now watch Y & R and understand why it is number one!
I am wanting someone new with EJ. It’s just something I’ve wanted for him for some time. I’ve seen their meeting and the clip for Monday’s show. I liked what I’ve seen so far with EJ and Taylor so my vote would have to go to them. I also like Stefano/Kate, Victor/Maggie, Brady/Nicole, and Melanie/Nathan.
I forgot to add I like Bope as well.

You know, I’m actually looking forward to NL and GG having a scene together. I have a feeling they would have chemistry together and I’m not just saying that as an EJami fan, I really think Rafe and Taylor could work. Besides, they are on the same level just as EJami, Bricole, Magic and State are on the same level.

I’m definitely rooting for EJ/Taylor. EJaylor has an exciting new beginning and the possibilities are numerous. I appreciate that EJ is being given a lady that truly reciprocates and has mutual feelings for him and from the get go no less. For the most part, I have yet to see that for EJ until now. Taylor is a totally worthy woman for EJ. And I believe can and will shine like the romantic lead that I know he can be just given the chance. I am sick of always seeing such absolute dysfunction and domestic violence in regards to EJ/Sami and on some level a lot of other characters. One half of a couple truly wanting the other one dead is a deal breaker for me. That’s not love or romantic in the slightest. EJaylor has the potential for real romance and I can’t wait to see what tptb have in store for them. Bring it on!

Not at all happy with the bland tepid couples in salem. Stefano and Kate are the only couple in the promo that I think truly love each other.
EJ and Taylor is almost laughable. She’s such a goody goody and he’s just too complex a man for this type of romance. He and Nicole were a bit interesting when they were co-habitating and sniping at each other for the children. Now Nicole is well on her way to being clingy with him.
Sami and Rafe bore more to tears. Rafe 1 or Rafe 2 – it doesn’t matter. This chemistryless couple has gone on too long.
Personally I prefer Carly and Bo though I do respect the Bo/Hope fans and that couple’s place in DAYS history. I hope they don’t commit to which way to go. I hope they write for the individual characters first – all three actors deserve a good story.
And I do want EJ and Sami to reunite and be the true power couple in Salem. They are sexy and fascinating. I miss scheming smart sassy Sami who doesn’t worship any man including EJ. I want her to finally let herself feel for Stefano’s son what she always had denied. I like that they challenge each other – God I miss them.
So I’m really very disappointed in the current couplings on DAYS.

I agree, it doesn’t matter which Rafe Sami is with both pairings are boring and awkward. I use to love watching Sami Brady but anymore she is dependant on Rafe, needy, whiny, and clingly. Her and Ej were exciting and sexy, I would love to see them back together. More importantly, she was strong and Independant. Ej is the one that truely accepted the real Sami Brady.
Ej and Samantha as Ejami pure gold still cannot understand why this show has to brow beat us, why can’t they just write a powerful compelling lovestory for Ejami?? I feel like this show is going out of it’s way to bully Ejamis just for being passionate about this show and our couple who we saw the magic in them and it wasn’t pre-created in any way, contrived we saw the special gift to entertain with love, humour, passion, and family. Please write them a wonderful lovestory, Jamison bring that magic to our screens like no other as Ejami their intimacy gets better and better…it is a once in a lifetime gift and this show should be capitalizing on it not exploiting it. Bring on the magic of Ejami.
Other couples, are Will and Chad – I think it would be really nice to have a controversial relationship like this, they do have amazing chemistry and it would really bring this soap out of the dark ages and into something fresh and modern of the people today who watch this show.
My 2nd fav couple was actually Bricole, I started to actually like Nicole when her and Brady boozed in bed, I like her best with him. There is more humour, fun, and hot romance. Eric who plays Brady is doing an amazing job, he really has given Brady charisma and brooding quality that just compliments Nicole’s quirkiness.
3rd couple is State, I love how Kate and Stefano have such strong dynamics together much like Ejami…it brings a delicous powerfulness in their relationship that is exciting, passionate and a wonderful intimacy.
4th couple which is not possible anymore since poor Mark got the boot, but I saw some potential in him and Melanie. I find they make her too old when she is with Phillip, I like her being young, bubbly, and full of humour. Mark really was developing his character Nathan, but he dared to ask for more storyline and now he is out.
5th couple Viv and Gus – I really enjoy Viv, she is totally crazy but her humour is awesome and something this show is desperately lacking. It is a pity they don’t utalize Louise Sorel better, she is an amazing actress who can carry any scene, where as other actors are getting way too much screen time and cannot carry their own scenes, I won’t dare to mention names!!
I think EJ should move on from Sami. I like Taylor. She is so bubbly and sweet!! I defintiely want to see EJ and Taylor. I am a former ejami fan. Ejami is all about rape, violence, and abuse. Ejaylor will bring true romance!!
That’s not all they’re about and Corday has really screwed the pooch with his insistence on EJ and Taylor.
