DAYS Greg Vaughan and Angie Harmon Get Engaged on Christmas

Photo: Instagram

Days of our Lives Daytime Emmy-winning actor, Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady) certainly had a surprise for his gal, Angie Harmon over the Christmas holiday.

Harmon, the former Rizzoli and Isles star, was in shock and in pure joy when Vaughan proposed to her on one knee during their Christmas gathering with his three sons and her three daughters present.

Vaughan re-posted the Christmas photos of  the proposal to Angie, along with his sons and her kids, following the engagement where he expressed: “Well…that was FUN!!! 😜 Repost @angieharmon Marry, Marry Christmas!! ❤️🎄 #moderndaybradybunch #blessed #grateful #family #christmas2019 Wishing you all the most wonderful holiday from our family to yours!”

Greg was previously married to Dutch actress Touriya Haoud from 2006 to 2014.  They share three children sons; Jathan, Cavan and Landan  Harmon has three daughters: Emery, Avery and Finley.

So it looks like it was a ‘Very Brady Christmas’ ala The Brady Bunch, and of course, a play on Greg’s Salem character of Eric Brady, especially when the couple used the hashtag #moderndaybradybunch with their pics on social media.  All six children along with Harmon and Vaughan, were donning matching holiday sweaters.

Share your congrats and well-wishes to Greg and Angie and their family on their engagement in the comment section below.

They seem very well-suited together. They share a lot of the same values, same age, same profession, same family make-up and history, both from Texas…..it’s a story book! And the whole divorced woman/3 daughters, divorced man/3 sons….I mean, come on!!! It was so meant to be. Wish them a lifetime of happiness.

They are like a 21st century version of the Brady Bunch. There is a tv show out there just for them.

Here’s the story of an actor who plays Eric Brady who was raising three boys all alone…then there was also Angie Harmon an actress with three daughters who were all alone… then one day Greg and Angie met and they knew it was more than a hunch..that this group could somehow form a family….and now they all you know the story…lol

I’m sure their exes would disagree with the raising alone part.

NATAS Launches New Streaming Service App As Destination To Watch Daytime Emmys and More

Looks like the place to view the Daytime Emmy ceremonies continue to change, and now evolve with the times, with news on Wednesday from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS).

While the annual kudofest used to be on major network television, the last several years have found the Emmys not having a broadcast outlet and having to be creative.  As fans of the daytime community know, most recently that show has been able to seen on You Tube, Twitter, and the like, via social media.

Now comes word that NATAS has launched its very own streaming service app to be the epicenter for all of its award shows.  According to Variety: “The service, which doesn’t yet have a name (but will likely include “Emmy” in its title), will be unveiled in time for the Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards in April, and the Sports Emmys in May, both of which are administered by NATAS.”

With the introduction of the new OTT app, NATAS president and CEO Adam Sharp shared that viewers will know where to go instead of  how it went down in the recent previous years.“We were making it available on PCs and mobile in a clunky way. But with the Emmys OTT app available on any platform, if you want to watch on your phone you can watch on your phone. You want to watch on your TV, you can watch on your TV. And really be accessible to the audience. Wherever they are consuming the shows, we’re on it.”

NATAS is reportedly building out the OTT app  be available on web, mobile, and major settop platforms including Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast, Fire stick and Android TV.   The new app is said to be free, at least for now, and without commercials.

One more important note is that Sharp says to be on the lookout for more content to enhance the Emmy and award show experiences delivered from NATAS that will include: past awards ceremonies, as well as clips from the NATAS archives,.

In addition to that, looks like there will be some original short form content as well; including its first one “Behind the Emmy” that will combine backstage interviews, onstage acceptance speeches and some of the actual submitted content to really tell the story of the excellent creativity and production work that goes into winning that most coveted honor of excellence in television,” Sharp said.

So, what do you think about the upcoming launch of NATAS’ new app and the place to watch this year’s Daytime Emmys? Comment below.
