Days Of Our Lives
DAYS OF OUR LIVES PREVIEW: Eli is Shot!
Next week, looks to be a hight stakes and emotional one on Days of our Lives as Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) is on to TR Coates (William Christian) and his past and his present and a major confrontation goes down.
The shady film producer who has an abusive past, and turned out to be Lani’s (Sal Stowers) bio-dad, needs to stop Eli as hr gets wind of more under-handed dealings and more, look for a heroin deal via Coates to be involved.
In the latest promo for DAYS, Eli is shot in the head and may not survive as Lani and Valerie (Vanessa Williams) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) rush to his side.
How will TR manipulate the situation? Stay tuned. Watch the latest DAYS promo below.
Now weigh-in, what do you think will happen to Eli? Will he lose his memory of what happened before he was shot? Will this story provide some major emotional beats for DAYS? Share your thoughts below.
I know they better not kill him off!
I really don’t have any other comment. LOL
I never even knew I liked Eli this much but when I saw the promo, I was like OH NO THEY DIDN’T.
Moto62
I always felt he was underused. The police are such a joke there in Salem, so there isn’t really much for Eli.
This show is so bad, it’s just not worth watching anymore.
When will DOOL get better writers?
I like Eli. I don’t think he will be killed off. I didn’t like Lamon on Y&R. I do think his acting has improved. Same with Sal.
This is not going to help TR get in good with Lani!
I’m assuming the typically run-of-the-mill “theme” will happen. Eli with either have amnesia or fall into a coma.
TR will take over Salem causing havoc and mayhem for Lord knows how long.
Personally, the PTB should do something oh-so-unheard-of for once. Have Eli get well lickety-split, thus getting rid of TR—he is so unnerving, I am done with all these distractions. The same goes for Leo.
Sarah? Never liked her—that hair!! Now, I like her even less as a psycho.
Aside—no Days episode today—St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Newsflash–St. Patrick was Italian, not Irish.
Celia, I am with you on so much here. “Unnerving” is the right word for TR. But I must say, this character is such a departure from Derek on AMC; the actor makes a great villain.
Maybe where you live, DOOL was preempted by the parade. But elsewhere, the episode was shown today. You can no doubt catch the episode on Demand or on Peacock. You’re onto something with that “coma” idea…
Hey, James—glad to hear from you, my friend.
Yes, I did catch up—-I usually watch during lunch break in the teachers’ lounge—Just as I did in College, between classes. LOL. Mostly, I watch late at night.
I do remember detective Frye—i liked him and Mimi as a couple on AMC.
I think the role ended the same year I graduated.
What a giant leap from lovable Derek to repulsive TR. I vehemently object his presence in Salem. LOL.
—waiting with bated breath for all this to be over–including kicking the heck out of Satan ( and Johnny), Leo, the Vitale woman etc.
Later, James….
Thanks for your response, Friend! I agree with your other remarks in this thread, too (e.g., Greg Rikaart’s role on Y&R vs that on DOOL). I think that Leo is too over the top to be enjoyed. Some of Leo’s remarks elicit discomfort as a matter of course. Granted, not every gay person is a Will or a Sonny. There are Leo’s in this world, too.
TR is so “repulsive” and Johnny is so smarmy that it’s stressing me out!!! I admit that, after soap watching all these many years, I still get stressed out when someone is kidnapped or trapped in a well (or on an island), or when evil is rampant. I used to complain about GH being too “dark” for too long, but DOOL has now overtaken GH in that department. I loved it when Will told Johnny he’d like to wipe that smirk off his face — he was voicing how most viewers feel. And to learn that TR has NOT changed his ways (in addition to shooting Eli, of course), he needs to get what’s coming to him — and soon!
Best to you, Celia! And thank you again for being supportive of the gay community and for the invaluable work you do!!
Thank you, James—
My best friend is gay—we grew up together and I have personally witnessed how some very ignorant people treated him–both kids and adults.
I love him as a brother—He is married, and we are still in each other’s lives—he and his husband are family to me.
As you say, there are TRs and Leos in all walks of life—someone’s sexual orientation does not define a person—at least, it should not.
I can’t believe how much hatred exists in the world, James. One should take the time to educate oneself and acknowledge the fact that homosexuality ( unlike “trans”) is not a psychological “malady”, but rather biological fact—a gay person cannot help being gay as much as a straight person can’t. Needless to say, James, you know as well as I that we cannot remedy someone else’s outlook on what he or she perceives as not the “norm”—ignorant, spiteful and cruel tendencies towards others, which can run rampant in some of us, obfuscates their view.
Thank you for your adulation—It has been a rough couple of years for both teachers and students alike—-thank goodness the mask mandates have been lifted—-children, especially those in lower grades, and those who have some learning challenges, need to see the teachers’ facial expressions; see their mouths and hear their voices, not only to comprehend what is being explained, but also, to be able to emulate what is taught.
It takes dedication and patience—and a village. LOL
Later, James…
My pleasure, Celia. And thank you for your further explanations. Despite repeated examples, I continue to be shocked by instances of homophobia, xenophobia, racism, and misogyny (“man’s inhumanity to man”). But as you demonstrate (and illustrate), there is good in this world, and that should be applauded and affirmed. Best to you, Friend!
❤️
Killing off TR would be easy enough. Since we know he’s a junkie, somebody slip some Fentanyl into his Heroin stash and he can take a long dirt nap…. well at least until he wakes up to find himself as dragon dinner down here in Hell.
Leo? As annoying as he is (and Hell knows he ALWAYS is!) I’m guessing his visit will be a short one, once Craig discovers him in bed with another guy. Even if the other guy is actually straight and has no intention of having sex with Leo…. but who says Craig has to know about that, right??
Kill TR off—from your own lips to your own ear, Oh, Evil One. LOL
Yeah—Fentanyl will do the trick—so easy to be had these days—for someone who never even tried “pot”, this is such a foreign concept to me—think of all the kids losing their lives because of this scourge.
Anyway—I am having a really tough time with the whole Craig/Nancy/Chloe thing. I cannot see these parents as a couple—-such a mismatched phenomenon–mamma mia!!
What a life Craig must have endured living as a straight man—be true to yourself, is my philosophy of life because no one else is living your life but “yours truly”. —and then being married to Wah-Wah Nancy to boot.
I love Greg Rikaart as Kevin—as Leo? Not! Yet, this proves what a skilled actor he is for playing such super-contrasting roles, albeit Kevin was a baddie when he first came to GC.
Satan
Right! Hope Chad doesn’t chicken out on their scheme. Poor guy, he’ll feel like a live mouse being dangled under a cat’s nose.
Lol yea Sarah is sooo annoying now, “stop calling me Sarah!!” Ugh it’s her only line and her hair is horrible lol is that how the woman she is supposed to be had it I wonder? Hate TR too black mailing his previous abused girl friend is disgusting I think. Not a good story line at all.. hopefully she is pretending and will tell lani as soon as she gets away from TR. the devil story is sooo played out now too please be over soon! I liked it at first but it has gone on way to long now!!!!
Gwen had been sort of redeemed—so, why did TPTB throw her back into Satan’s realm?—because Sarah is back? Whoopee-do and uu-la-la!! Gimme a break, writers!! The actress portrays Gwen so effortlessly.
There is no comparison between the two.—Gwen is inspiring–natural–Maybe the almighty ye-gods can devise a plot where Gwen was under the devil’s “spell” . The devil-made-me-do-it, kind of thing.
Sarah is playacting and it shows. I sooo get turned off by her over-indulgent gestures and words—As if she’s rehearsing in her head. That’s shrilly Sarah for you. A mechanical doll.
I did look up the original Renee DuMonde ( what a stupid name –” Of The Wiorld”? Perhaps, Dumond would have made more sense as a surname.
I was yet to be born when the character lived in Salem—but Renee had beautifully flowing hair. Only Sarah comes up with these weird styles of hair and couture.
I think her bellicose temper fits the electrified hair.
So does that mean you think I should possess Gwen for a while? I could probably get behind that idea.
And the real Renee Dumonde had zero resemblance to whatever Sarah thinks she’s doing. Hell, even brain-chipped “Stevano” was more credible than this mess.
Yes!! Possess Gwen—-it’s the only way to explain her dirty deed away, and keep her in Salem.
Oh, what wicked, tangled web a girl will weave for the sake of love—-Yet, Satan, some may argue that deceipt is not the right path to take—Well, I say….anything to kick Sarah off the show. I’m so mean.
I miss Stefano—-there will never be another nonno such as he. Can’t be replaced. But, Sarah? You called it—a mess all around.
PS—Hey, Steven—As I posted my comment at 5 AM, I thought of whom Sarah’s hair reminds me: The Bride of Frankenstein??
I don’t know where all this is going– I would welcome any storyline ( even a fantastical one) with a modicum of appeal if it had a captivating beginning, a middle and an end which made sense. Am I missing something?.—-when Sarah appeared in her virginal attire, all I could think of was the banished mistress of the castle ( Jane Eyre) turned banshee roaming the halls at night.LOL.
As I said, methinks it’s to make Gwen the bad guy again, and good riddance. Sarah and Xander just don’t mesh for me. He’s so hot and she’s so blah compared to Gwen. My opinion!!
Of course Eli is in a Coma. Gee, he then might be able to tell his wife who really shot him, implicating her father who is such a piece of xxxx, This also gives that woman Beth something to blackmail T.R with, giving him another reason to kill her, etc, etc.
Now that I’m watching this unfold, I have some thoughts.
Suddenly TR is an active heroin user who needs a “fix”. He buys drugs from a young kid named Frank. Shouldn’t the drug dealer be named Collin or Aiden? He’s like 19.
Finally, for as progressive as Carlivati is with writing, or thinks he is, this is a storyline for a black family that involves domestic violence, drugs and being shot. It’s disappointing.
Well, they already used “Colin” and “Aiden” as names for disposable villains on Days. Maybe ReRon used “Frank” as a dig against his former partner in crime on OLTL & the mutated version of GH?
I would agree that he seems to be pulling out all the old stereotypes for the TR story.
Moto62
Hey, you’ve got the wrong show. That would be Chicago PD.
TR is such a piece of crap.Says he changed ya for the worst.Oh that Sarah story is so lame.I cannot stand it,to be honest I find it to be dull and boring.I wonder how long they will have Eli in a coma?I can’t wait till someone catches that creep TR.When they do I will have a big smile on my face.He is rotten to the core.
Days has reaches a new low. I’m inclined to believed that, at least, one writer is possessed by the devil. Either that, or the show is run by Martians. Holy cow!! Judicious Maggie is asking Tony to move into her house to appease that frizzy, shrieking spook? Oh, wait—-for mental reasons. For medical reasons. Gimme a break, people!! By the direction this twisted plot is going, chances are Tony and Anna will grow apart—who’s gonna bite the dust??
Everyone has lost his/her mother-loving senses.
Yeah right….
If I had possessed those writers, they would be producing much better material.
HaHaHaHaHa!! Oh, Satan, Satan, Satan—You slay me!!. I guess you’re right—they’re a bunch of cold stiffs to inspire a hot story. After-all, you’re on fiyah!!
