Dominic Zamprogna To Make Upcoming Appearance On GH
There will be a Dante sighting coming up on a special episode of General Hospital.
So, that is why over the last 24 hours actor Dominic Zamprogna has been teasing fans on social media about a return to the soap he was last seen on back at the end of June. Michael Fairman TV chatted with Dominic in this exit interview here.
Zamprogna was back on set today (October 30th) to shoot his part for a one-day appearance that will air in November during a special episode of the long-running ABC daytime drama series is shooting.
The fan favorite actor spoke with Soap Opera Digest about his cameo and the story that surrounds it stating: “I think people are going to like it a lot.”
He also share this post below sharing that he was happy to be back with his General Hospital family even for a day!
Dante for a day? Happy to be back with the #gh fam pic.twitter.com/5eS7vGbIZN
— Dom Zamprogna (@dom_zamprogna) October 30, 2018
So, excited to know Dominic was asked back to GH for this special episode? Is it a Sonny-centric one celebrating Maurice Benard’s recent 25th anniversary with the show, or something else that brings Dom back? Share your thoughts and comments below.
Well, hopefully they’ll give poor Dominic a better sendoff after this brief run. Lulu continues to be a bore and a complete joke as “ACE Reporter on the Job”. Christiane Amanpour she isn’t. Maybe this will liven things up.
His “sendoff” was fine, honestly. It was a way to exit the character, to both allow Zamprogna the opportunity to return in any capacity, or for them to recast down the line.
00oohhh geez! I loved Dante but- I did notice he was gone,
Dante was so deep in the background that well……
Anyways-
I hope that during the one day he will be back that is to take Lulu with him 🙂
I think that would be a good thing, yes! no Lulu would be good and they can walk into the sunset together and- take her mother with them 🙂
GH doesn’t have one good exciting intriguing story going on, not one-
I, as many have heard there will be a Halloween murder and I believe it is more than obvious the murdered one will be Nurse Pat.. (I liked her 🙁
And- Nina’s daughter, she is a bad-seed she is playing her game.
I think her friend is Nian’s daughter, actually.
The only game the writers have is- Carly going down for murder and Sonny taking down the DA. ohh gee whoopee!
GH’s plots are so weak, that most can see what is coming before they write it LOL everything is more than routine obvious..
And, Ray, ppffttt he’s about as diabolical as a butterfly (not even menacing ugh)
GH needs new everything and everybody to survive..
Looking forward to seeing Dante again even if for but a few minutes, I liked him..
Who is Sasha’s friend, su? What did I miss?
I never believed Sasha her to be Nina’s. It’s Kiki!!
The new character ( Willow?) , the teacher, is another possibility.
I think Willow is Baby Wiley’s birth mother, She’s in grief counseling Because she gave him up for adoption, not yet knowing he died. She and Michael will bond over their loses’ and then when it is discovered that Jonah is alive, they will become a happy family. Plausible?
Now about Sasha. Is she somehow connected to the long forgotten Claudette?
WOW, Nora!! Great thinking!!….. love it. Makes so much sense, on both counts. I’m impressed!!
❤️
Hi Celia 🙂
I should have used ”assume”
I think Sasha’ has a friend/whoever that she is using the DNA to work her con into the Big money as being Nina’s daughter.
hmm that story is boring, sigh..
0oooh! I love the Britch! she is a badly needed breath of fresh air, for sure.
I’d like to have her and Peter bond and give us some excitement- they do hold the DNA of devil blood LOL.
I’d love Britt and Brad and Felix to hang out, again.
I can only hope she will be staying, but most likely not 🙁
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! BOOOO BOOOOOOO!!
Hey, SuzieQ…I agree with you about Sasha. ‘Something is rotten in the state” of NY ( PC). LOL.
Could the friend be the school-teacher who was parked in the garage illegaly?Hmmmm.
What is the reason? Money? Nina is an heiress, afterall.
I am not too happy with Peter…..I haven’t accepted him into the “fold” yet. But, as with Kiki, I may change my mind. So far—-it’s a big, fat NO.
Interact with Britt? Hmmm, I don’t know. He is such a dud compared to “Don’t mess with me”, Britt.
And, yes!! Absolutely–Go, Britt, Brad and Felix—-I loved that “Triumvirate”…..
Did you get lots of goodies last night, su?
To be honest, the most exhausting day for me!! I am getting old. My knee/leg is constantly killing me!! LOL.
❤️
How about Sasha and Britt as long-lost sibs, CeeCeeGirl????? There is a strong physical resemblance between the two actresses….if so, this will be just another instance where our beloved Liesl will have some heavy-duty ‘splainin’ to do….As for Britt bonding with Peter??? No, just, no…the fact that they share some common DNA as half-Faisons doesn’t mean that they have anything in common beyond being spawns of a perpetually-deranged paternal figure. Why even bother to go there, especially if Cesar is no longer amongst the living???
I totally agree with you …Hoo Hum. I do love Dominic and miss him .
OMG, Did anyone notice the uncanny resemblence last week of Olivia’s son Leo to Dominic Z.? He could be his son.
Hi, Violet! Didn’t notice; can’t even remember what he looked like! Hopefully we’ll see lil Leo again.
Just wanted to let you know I replied to you several times on the other thread and thanked your for your support/agreement, etc. Unfortunately, it didn’t post.
LOL; Commments… Hit or miss!
Hi Rebecca, my bad! I think I did see your thank you note, and its nice knowing there are others that feel as I do. I sure hope they put there vote where their mouth is on Tues. Good luck to us all.
In case I miss the edit on this, I just want to say that I typed THEIR vote, not there. There has been so much discussion on proper grammar, etc lately, and my keyboard has a mind of it’s own.
That would be “its” own! LOL! 😉 (and, yes, lots of grammar talk.) I usually don’t point that out unless someone’s pointing daggers at me. I prefer insults and attacks to be in proper English. LOL.
I do have to admit, though, that I was watching a new show, “A Million Little Things” (which I love, although the first episode didn’t do it for me but I hung in there. I’m so hoping it gets renewed and others hung in there, too. But I digress…) So, I’m watching the show and one of the characters (a black character) goes to visit his parents who seem quite educated and live in a beautiful home, and his mother says something like, “We was just talking about you” or something to that effect. My point is…we “was” instead of we “were.” Why? Is that supposed to be for effect? It just offended on every level. Again, an educated couple in a beautiful home speaking such poor English. THAT bothered me because it was scripted that way for a black family as if that is the norm and makes it authentic.
I love the show A Million Little Things, but can’t remember that particular episode. What bothers me more than the bad grammar, is all the new catch phrases and expressions they are using, i.e, radio silence, being ghoasted, etc. I watch just about every crime show that’s on, including Bull, plus Grey’s Anatomy and my favorite The Good Doctor. I recommend this show to everyone.
Hey, Violet. I used to go crazy when everyone started saying “gone missing” or “went missing.”
The scene I’m referring to is when Rome goes to visit his parents. His father is on the ladder fixing the light and his mom comes out to greet him. I don’t remember the sentence she used but that’s when the was was. 😉
rebecca1
I am sure I saw it, just can’t remember it, but I’ve heard people say things like “where was you? or we was just there, etc”.Another thing that drives me nuts is you and me vs you and I. I am sure as a kid, we were taught to say, as an example, that house belongs to you and me, or should it be me and you, and to say it first to our self ” that house belongs to me”, and not say you and I, because we would never say “that house belongs to I” Am I making sense, and does that sound correct to you?
Hey, who knew a soap opera blog could be so educational? I love it, and never feel that I am too old to learn. So get out your “red pencil” and edit away. Believe it or not, I was an editor and proof reader, before I retired, for trade catalogs, manuals, and other stuff. Fun and interesting, I miss it.
The Queens proper English is not spoken in America.
Most all speak American.
American is not always proper English as in days of yore.
When filling out forms and asked which language you speak, it’s American.
((there is a difference, indeed.
Haha. Hi, Sue. I didn’t mean “proper”as in British. I meant grammatically correct. We “was” talking is just wrong unless the writers “was” going for supposed ebonics. Just sounded uneducated which this family was not.
I wasn’t talking about the Queen’s proper English. I was talking about using proper English as in good grammar vs bad.
su000, my pet peeve is when a lot of speakers–as well as reporters–on tv go out of their way to use objects of prepositions incorrectly.
Common example:
“between you and I” or “between she/he and I”
Of course, the correct usage is “between you and me” and “between her and me”
The nominative pronouns “I” and “she/he” are used as subjects and the objective case of pronouns “me” and “her/him” are used as objects (of verbs and prepositions)
That’s my bugaboo.
Other than that, I accept the “levels” of usage–formal and informal.
And I love all the colorful “localisms” from the South and other areas. It “spices” up our conversations and makes them interesting.
Did you mean, colloquialism? There’s a difference between having “flavor” based on culture and bastardization (and improper usage) of a language.
Excellent points, Rebecca1!
PS: Did you see my reply in the Genie Francis interview thread?
Take care.
Hi James! Yes!!!! I think you sent two and one disappeared or you edited it??? But I responded to you this week; it’s there. I just saw it. Hope you see it! Let me know.
Hope all is well! Hugs!
I love Dominic Z, he’s an excellent actor and I miss him on GH but as long as he is happy and doing well that is all that matters…and YES, glad he’s coming back even if it’s for one episode…
I liked him very much. Appeared to be a thorough professional and a hard worker.
Boring without him
Glad he was back. He needs to be back for good. Sign him up, ding-bats.
He chose to leave, so the soap execs aren’t “ding-bats,” plus, he is already on another television series that’s in-production right now. So, it’s not their decision. It was Zamprogna’s to leave.
I’m guessing the Thanksgiving episode, as it’s a logical time for Dante to pop in. He and Lulu can argue and make up in the episode, sending him off again for another 6 months.
the one thing I know for certain… is Dante at least gave Lulu a life line… a let, for her momma smurph, immature zany ditzy chicking w/Maxie. these two.. for what life have you
to feature these two … as they dance around Peter August… oh lordy.. this has gone nowhere… SPIRAL
yawn… throw me in to the ditz pool… as this show… execution style Frank Valentini with lap dog Shelly and chris have no mindset for this genre… they are killing GH
Does Dante’s “appearance” herald ominous news for Lulu? He wants a divorce.
Hopefully he’s returning for his father’s funeral after Sonny is murdered by NotKevinButRyan. I know that’s not it, but a guy can dream.
Pipedream that it is, what a wonderful thought! “Why not?”…Indeed!
whynot, that is one GH plot twist many of us are aching for…
I’ve had the same recurring dream for many years…
:)!!!
GH needs to get all these stories moving. Everything seems to be dragging on and on and on etc. There are to many story lines on the go and going no where. No wonder they are losing viewers.
I beg to differ on the Ryan storyline. They’re covering all their bases, building up suspense and including the vets. There was no need to see him slaughter Mary Pat. The “well hello” moment with the iron pick was sublime.
I agree, Steve. The Ryan story is just bop, bop, bopping along. I mean, it’s a barrel of laughs!
Seriously, I could watch Jon Lindstrom play Ryan all day. His expressions and mannerisms are priceless.
I believe if he doesn’t come back, even under recurring status, I suspect that the soap may recast the role, and I’m okay with that. What about Bryan Dattilo (ex-Lucas, DAYS)?
