GENERAL HOSPITAL: Who Will Die In Ryan’s Halloween Murder?

By Michael Fairman

Looks like Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) has a murderous Halloween planned for one unlucky lady … or is it? In the latest promo from ABC’s General Hospital, now that Laura (Genie Francis) and Carly (Laura Wright) are snooping around Ferncliff, and have run into none other than fired nurse Mary Pat (Patricia Bethune), the potential victims are mounting.

Will Ryan need to silence someone so his secret that he traded places with his brother not come to light?

Meanwhile, poor Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) who is locked up called out Laura’s name, but she never heard it, nor saw him!

With Ryan’s past also being brought up by an investigative story via Lulu (Emme Rylan), will he try to kill Felicia (Kristina Wagner) once and for all?  Who will die?  GH promises in their latest promo that someone will by week’s end.

Watch the promo below, and then let us know who you think will suffer a horrible fate at the hands of Ryan in the comment section below.

I am trying to think who could be the first one to die since Ryan broke free. I don’t want to see anyone get killed but if I had to guess, I think I would say Amy.

Noooo; not Amy. She hasn’t been on in ages and it wouldn’t pack an emotional wallop. I like her, though. Want to see her back at the nurse’s station!

The Nurse’s ball wouldn’t be as much fun if she weren’t around to watch either, huh?

We probably won’t see Amy until then, unless they need seat fillers for Kiki’s funeral.

@James….Oh, if only it were to be Amy! Cannot stand her overbearing, chirpy, loquacious personality!!!!!

Why is Laura Wright involved in this storyline? Carly was not in Port Charles during Ryan’s initial reign of terror. The storyline should revolve around Kevin/Ryan, Laura, and Felicia, of course. We’ve hardly seen Felicia, which makes zero sense.

So agree! I also hoped it would involve Mac..as in Mac and Felicia. Kevin and Mac are best friends so you would think this would be a perfect opportunity to bring back Mac (who should never have been written off) as Kevin goes after Felicia.

Carly? I’m surprised they don’t have her sitting in the support group next to Michael. Ugh.

YES. MAC. Good point!

Ugh; meant Ryan goes after Felicia.

AVP, you have nailed it — thoroughly. If someone has to die, I would vote for Carly. Then Sonny would be so devastated, he would leave Port Charles never to return again… That’s how I would write it anyway…. 🙂

Hey, AVP,
That’s not so hard to figure out, my friend. The PTB had to stick a Corinthos in there, somehow.

Nurder Mary-Pat will be killed off first…and most likely the only one…and why the name Mary-Pat-sounds like a nun’s name-lol….sick of how the writers continue to make the Corinthos look good..Micheal is the worse…wish he was one of Kevin/s victims!!!…and then Peter!!!!

We already know about Kiki ( bummer–not happy)…..what about Mary Pat?
I hope Britt won’t be among those, who will meet a horrific death, a’ la Michael Myers.
I love Britt—-she’s fundamentally a good person with heart. Perhaps, she will save one of Ryan’s victims and she will be THE heroine…..reinstated at GH.

Unfortunately, it’s a short stay. She’s only filming a few episodes. Seems like her sights are on gigs other than soaps. Love the character. Shame we can’t get her back.

As you know, CeeCeeGirl, Britt is one of my all-time favorite GH gals, along with her equally-beloved “Mutter!” It would be wonderful to see her back in Port Charles society, both plying her medical trade and trading barbs with her not-so-maternal figure of a mother. But God forbid either of them becomes one of Ryan’s victims…there are enough other dispensible femmes who could satiate his bloodlust. By the way, love this new bold typeface….looks great and is much more reader-friendly. Kudos!

What about Kiki are we supposed to know?

She is going to bee killed by Ryan. Poor Griffin

What? Where did you hear that? I don’t care for the character but she’s Ava’s daughter. That IS shocking to me.

This should hopefully make Ava miserable , but seeing how Kiki is apparently Nina’s daughter, Ava does not have the maternal love for Kiki that she should have.It was fine to sleep with Morgan, but when Kiki and Griffen got together, that was unforgivable. I wish she would be a Ryan victim, but too many fans and the producers love her to death. I liked her as Carly on ATWT, but not this time around. Speaking of ATWT, I just saw Michael Park that played Jack, Carly’s husband, on Blue Bloods, and I must say, this man gets better looking with years. The grey in his hair just made him more so. Made this old lady swoon!

I read it in spoilers but several days later I read the actor said she wasn’t leaving GH so who knows what is true

Hey, Rodd….
My sister read it on one of her social media venues a few weeks ago….
Apparently, Ryan will kill Kiki….I commented on it, as soon as I heard. Hopefull, if Ryan attempts to kill Kiki, Griffin saves her at the eleventh hour—create suspense? She is one of my faves.

Britt is hysterical! She had me in stitches! We need some laughter and humor on the show!
What a great actress!

YES YES YES – I so agree… watching her at the floating rib… an act unto herself

GOD ! I simply cannot stand the antics the showey camaraderie playmanship between the ooey gooey sicky syrupy.. not funny at all… Anna and Finn

it’s nauseating .. because they are not funny, or cute.

I have given up on Finola Hughes’ character… STUCK with the insufferable bores Finn and Peter.

I can accept Britta for Peter sake… was always fun and a treat to see Britta MIX with ALL th cast.. she’s that good.

OK what is going on here.. w/Willow ? she’s going to be Nina long lost daughter ? Chase has found a love interest ? I had hoped for Sasha… seeing as Kiki is leaving the show… that frees up her interest in Griffin.

oh my god.. I am so over the over the top Laura… barging in to Ferncliff w/Laura … as a candidate , she still wouldn’t have had that opportunity to CHECK out the conditions … barf !

Thunderous applause year in and year out for laura Wright Carly ??? her appeal in that arena of take no prisoners has gotten so tired lame and dull… as she tries to feature her sensitive overbearing side “it’s all about family” and reach out for the care of that other cellmate sharing morse code ????? busy body Laura determined , does she have gas, to get her husband back.

as most posts have already gone their… the writers have no intriguing plot points no suspense… just plodding along. where’s the zeal flavor and guts

when all stories lead back to his favorites… Carly / Sonny / Sam / Jason / Michael / Finn / Franco / Peter.

did Kelly Monaco who stated in SOD not too long ago… with painful hip issues also take care of her bigger than life larger than life career with bigger boobs

OH Maxie – what to do about you… stuck on Peter… those puppy dog eyes and jelousy @Lulu OVER Peter… two lost characters… thank god you at least can show life with Nina and hopefully Britta. otherwise.. this maturity you should have been REELING since Nathan death… you’ve sunk back to ditz

I LOVE that Shelly and Chris did try and feature cast characters long thought dead… w/ Jon Lindstrom ACTING… he’s a veteran he’s a professional he’s a class act… he’s sexy.. handsome… dark edgier turns are meg watt sensation oh god to see this going to waste with Carly and Laura… does any one know SOS Morse CODE… we hate the Corinthos

I just cringe at any and all scenes with Carly / Sonny / Michael / Josslyn.. how they crest : no one hurts my family. w/dullard lap dog Jason and Sam and Spinelli waiting in the wings… seriously the dumbest decision by Frank Valentini to be @GH featured family. they inspire not one iota of appeal, they lack in sharing real emotion… just bad acting who cannot support one another with no real chemistry

by all accounts ; this Ryan story is already dead before Jon Lindstrom even had a chance to act any thing

since when do Carly and Laura have any thing to really do with one another ?

back to Willow – ? – YIKES !!!! what is this… I really do like the idea , and story potential that ^^^^ some one shared.. that Willow is in that bereavement group… ala the baby she gave up … for Lucas and Brad… and Michael for his

yet they’ve thrown in a wrench that Chase has a thing for her ??? PLEASE GH.. Michael is no where near the same echelon as Chase… I’m still holding out that Chase can turn Sasha around.. and forget about Griffin… OR .. what about an older woman Britta WITH Chase .. that sounds even more inviting.

Willow and MIchael… OH MY GOD>. his trials and tribulations… does any one care ? he’s the worst actor on daytime

as if he needs to be generalized.. I love how Carly cradles his face and endearingly searches his expressionless face with his moping mug. “you are the most decent” person . kill him off please !

Hey, Patrick,
So glad to see you post regularly again. …..yes, as I keep saying; I always had a funny feeling about the Sasha story. Yet, naively, I thought Valentin was on the up and up ……I did not think he would go so far ….I understand he did it out of love? But did he? I guess he thought this lie would bring them back together.
Lies accomplish nothing….just the opposite. We tend to lie again to cover another lie….then we forget we lied ….am I making sense? Better not to lie. Hmmmm.
I have secretly sworn ( LOL) that I will never give up on the idea of Kiki being Nina’s daughter, Patrick…..until the end…..but, a big BUT, that “end” (accidental play-on-words, LOL) not to constitute her death.
I’d like a happy ending!!
Morse Code? Yeah, right….Carly is the most profoundly informed, judicious, intelligent, fair, faithful, motherly, loyal, sagacious person in PC. She took a couse in communications ( namely, Morse Code). When elephants nest in trees.
You are so right, my friend…..the families showcased, on this soap, do not inspire a scintilla of emotional, familial folklore.
There is no hearth by which to gather, discussing stuff and the mundane, as a family is wont to do.
You know how I feel about the characters you mention above…..therefore, no need for redundancy.
❤️

So, CeeCee….Have you seen the “Freddie Flick” yet??? I watched Boho Rhapsody in the wee hours of the morning and looked forward to comparing notes with you. Overall, it was a nice, nostalgic slice of the ‘70’s/‘80’s…I was never a huge Queen fan, but I enjoyed the movie all the same. Besides recalling the original thrill of witnessing “Live Aid,” my favorite scene involved the re-creation of the iconic Biba retail palace…that was a place where I would have simply adored shopping, so it was rather intoxicating to see it lovingly presented in all of its legendary decadent glory! The only aspects of the film which gave me pause were spotting Allen Leech, aka, Downton Abbey’s well-recognized “Branson,” —-playing way against type as Freddie’s slimy squeeze—-(Whatever would the Dowager Countess have to say about that?? Lol….)—-and realizing (to my great horror!) that within Mercury’s soul resided a “crazy cat lady!” Seeing all those felines freely frolicking about his manse made me shudder! Other than that, BR was not a bad way to spend two hours! What say you, mia amica????

Hi, Shay,
It’s been sort of hectic around here; so, I haven’t gotten to Rami Malek’s interpretation of my Freddie…
I wish Malek luck….hard to replicate a ‘god’, LOL.
Freddies’s stage presence; his moves, his little derriere, his form, his sexiness, his performace, his voice, his ‘tude, his gorgeous eyes….what can I say? Perfection. Even his teeth worked for him. LOL.
I wasn’t born, of course, but I grew up enveloped in his music…..how could I escape it? My mother and grandmother are both such crazy fans. Same for Janis—-so many others!! ( and, all the psychedelic music–as Gran calls it).
I need to be in harmony with myself for me to dare watch someone else try to ‘do’ Freddie. No one else can compare.
When I reach my heavenly comfort zone, I will watch….then we can compare notes.
A presto ( soon), cara.❤️

Having only casually observed Mercury during his career, I probably found Rami’s star turn as the rock god far more acceptable than will you, CeeCeeGirl…He definitely lacked the supreme flamboyance, yet raw, animal masculinity that defined Freddie, but his performance was quite heartfelt and respectful, albeit in a quite restrained and sanitized version. I simply allowed myself to suspend disbelief and buy into the whole nostalgia trip…hence I enjoyed the ride. Having said that, I doubt anyone could really capture Freddie’s truly unique essence to a “t.” He was one-of-a-kind…like Bowie! Another highly-individual soul whose likes we shall never again see here on planet earth!!! Still, the music and the obvious efforts to recreate a world long gone away made the time spent watching this biopic worthwhile!!! As long as you keep that perspective in mind, I don’t think you will find BR to be wholly disappointing, even as a diehard Queen fan! Let me know when you are finally able to take the viewing plunge!

Mary-Pat will probably be the one murdered. It seems so random. I loved Mary-Pat vs. Carly in Ferncliff and was excited when she asked for a job at GH. I wanted more g0-rounds between her and Carly. But now it seems obvious that she’ll be killed. They wouldn’t dare kill off the other women in the seemingly-thrown-together-ad since they’re stars of GH…with the exception of Felicia…whom, if they killed her off would send another wave of outrage through the halls at GH and have people spouting off about not watching the show…just what GH needs, right? Yeah, MP seems a safe bet.

Well, I don’t think Genie Francis would come back to the show only to have Lulu killed off or be killed off herself… I guess I assume it’ll be Mary Pat since she probably tortured him like she did Carly.

I was clearly disgusted with Shelly and Chris WRITNG ???? as Carly is sharing with Laura… how

she was drugged up so much… blah blah blech ! I only saw -twice- before all the stoogies rallied round her and she was “escaped” by Jason and Franco

quite frankly it would seem the story is over before it even started… nothing zilch nada with giving Jon Lindstrom THAT – opportunity – to REEL – HIS – acting chops… OK he had that knife / switchblade @ the floating rib

WHAT must Maura West THINK !!!! all this dark anger of her own… just disowning Kiki so blatantly and so ugly.. ??? because “her” sessions with Kevin say it’s OK? as cold as Ava can be… she’s a mother first… AND to watch her getting “old” and losing out to her daughter over a man… AND Ava doesn’t rationalize what she did to her own daughter with Morgan ???? !!! just doesn’t wash… Ava with no heart ??? Shelly and Chris are belittling and whittling down any character Ava had.

the most fun I’ve had in EON … watching Michael angst .. as he asks mumsy Carly… is he addressing his issues that life deals… OH my god.. he can’t act . all this opportunity to flesh out… it’s a joke that he’s still CEO of ELQ … on the board @General Hospital… AND he’s this heart of gold son for Carly and Sonny… what gives ???? a personality … FIRE

Kristina Wagner (Felicia) – is – my OOH LA LA Lovely ^^^^ LOOK @ above pic w/Jon Lindstrom… can we say magic… too bad this isn’t

she just hasn’t aged… WOAH

speaking of the man gender… the one that always strikes me… Wally Kurth… LOOKS SO GOOD FOR our age group… from the time he hit the telee… umpteenth years ago… is still rocking it.. swag… and va va voom. HOTTIE

so isn’t jon lindstrom
so isn’t Jacklyn Zeaman
so isn’t big mac, anna , hotted out

can’t say the same for bad acting AND just overload over kill . the dullards Frank VAlentini “thinks” are all that

Carly / Sonny / Sam / Jason / Michael / Franco / Finn / Peter

if you cannot “write” Shelly and/or Chris for the most boring lot on your canvas

GET OUT

I say kill off everyone that was hired by FV after he joined the show in 2012!

Question;
”Who Will Die In Ryan’s Halloween Murder?”
Answer;
Nurse Pat

I’m hoping it’s Mary Pat since I’ve despised that character this whole time.

They’ll probably be 3 victims. Mary Pat, Kiki and someone not critical. Ryan will be caught once he holds Felicia captive.

The story won’t end with Ryan’s capture/death. Kevin will have a lot of explaning and remorse when he finally gets out of Ferncliff.

I saw who Ryan’s first murder victim is, and was not surprised, but the next one really upsets me, but do not want to let the cat out of he bag, and spoil it, as it was a spoiler, and I do know a lot of people hate them.

This storyline will probably be like Paul’s murder spree, a lot of hoopla with no real pay-off. Mary Pat was expendable, Hayley Erin is leaving the show, and then there are A LOT of expendable newcomers that Ryan can harm and that will be forgotten about. I’d like Ryan to shut Oscar up, bury Dawson next to her father, and send Peter back to the parking lot.

OH MY GOD – did I roar with laughter… who knew PIER 55

@GH “Ryan” simply told Laura… “less is more” that they were thru.. he’d be out of the apartment at the end of the day.. and walked away. kudos to the writers .. if you can believe that … no long histrionics drawn out begging pleading.. just over it

THE ONE THING that just stings; hurts; STINKS : Laura Wright Carly

Carly will never be able to paly out all the full beats women on this show are. are shelly and chris w/Frank that stupid to think that Laura Wright can ? be sensitive, be cared for, that the audience would simply dismiss ALL the years of in your face loud mouthed take no prisoners… YEARS and YEARS of the same.. lacked so much emotion… WHEN TPTB at that time fired Ingo Rademacher… for which he helped Laura Wright eck out a win… for lead actress. NO MORE… that’s not possible

Carly does not know how to return love affection and nurture.. or ever truly care like most all characters on GH

Sonny has had to “console” Laura several times due to nightmares… ???? !!!! THIS is NOT Laura Wright story… Carly has no place in this at all…

I loved how Ryan lit in to Carly about her pushy insistence that they help that patient in the very next room… as she stupidly keeps bringing up SOS morse code… whoopee. end of story.. who would have it any other way… Frank VAlentini has no imagination….

already they’ve killed any chances for Nina and Valentin.. by not even giving Nina a chance to feel and celebrate that she does have a daughter… KILLED this story

WRITING STINKS

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

on

By

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

Photo: JPI

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

Published

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
