Perhaps, the perfect Christmas time video about giving to one another, and acts of human kindness!  Downton Abbey star, Elizabeth McGovern (Lady Cora) made a recent trip to the impoverished African nation of Sierra Leone.  The country is one of the poorest in the world.  The reason for McGovern’s visit was to meet for the first time the child she has been sponsoring from far far away!

So, Elizabeth and her daughter Grace, took the trip to Sierra Leone to meet Jestina Bryne, the child  she has been sponsoring as part of her work for World Vision.     McGovern had been sponsoring six-year old Jestina for a year and half.  The World Vision organization provides health care, education and sanitation in some of the poorest communities and parts of the globe.

In this video that documented the meeting of little Jestina with her very special mother from the cast of Downton Abbey via Telegraph UK, you will see the difference someone can make in someone else’s life you have never met before!

Watch the video after the jump!  Let us know what you thought of it.  And remember, Downton Abbey season four debuts on January 5th on PBS Masterpiece Classic here in the U.S.!
