Eileen Davidson Gives Tips On How To Make The Perfect Acceptance Speech & Reveals Turning Her Novel 'Dial Emmy For Murder' Into A Movie

Every performer at any award show should listen to these tips from The Young and the Restless and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Eileen Davidson, on how to deliver your acceptance speech. Davidson talked with BravoTV.com, relating her experience when winning the Daytime Emmy for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Kristen DiMera on Days of our Lives back in 2014.
In addition, the website’s Daily Dish segment exclusively revealed that one of Davidson’s soap opera mystery series novels is being turned into a movie! Â That would be Dial Emmy for Murder. Â Eileen expressed: “I wrote these books 10 years ago, one every year for a few years, and one of them has been optioned. Â And I’m in the middle of writing a second draft for it, and hopefully we’re gonna be filming it this summer. So I’ll be starring in that, co-writing it, exec producing, and that should be fun.”
As to the story in her novel and now on to the film, Eileen said, Â “They’re written around the soap opera industry, and the protagonist is basically my character. She loves mysteries, and so she gets involved in trying to solve these murders. So you find her always in trouble when she’s always trying to figure things out, and all these people keep dying in these very dramatic ways, so it’s gonna be fun.”
Watch Eileen’s acceptance speech tips after the jump! Then let us know if you think what she offered is good advice for a performer picking up a gold statuette? Â And, what do you think of one of Eileen’s novel becoming a movie? Comment below!
OK– this–
I Used to like Eileen Davidson/Ashley, I did..
But now, her Ashely character , to me, I now see as slutty because of her Housewives thing.. That really ruined the persona, for me.
However she is a very good actress, for sure.. and her speech was good, also.
But, not gonna read the book lol..
Really, the Housewives gig turned me totally off:(..what a shame she went in that direction, my opinion..
aside from this insulting comment as your need for attention, i will reply regardless
nothing about eileens appearances on rhobh translates or should be percieved as ‘slutty’…eileen actually imo comes off as very down to earth and actually one of the more normal stars on the show. she is genuine and sensitive and has had a bad go of it with family ordeals. all things considered she should be commended for being so strong and keeping her plate full.
eileen is classy and more beautiful than ever. congrats to her for her continued relevance and success. y n r, days , rhobh, and now a published novel! way to go eileen. dont listen to uninformed haters such as the one above who never really has anything positive to say anyways
lol damien,,
My comment was honest criticism, not an insult.
My comment also included praise.
I do not hate her or anyone.
Drama queen much lol aren’t different opinions fun ..
I think Eileen adds the only touch of class on the show. Kyle comes close with her Hilton pedigree but those others are just awful loud mouthed dames.
I still love Ashely and I respect Eileen Davidson, however, I understand what SUOO is saying here.
That RHOBH gig is not doing her any favors. I know she doesn’t need the money or fame, so why does she do it?
They need to find Ashely a decent romantic partner. I liked her with MEK as Dr Neville. When she is in the same room with Victor, I feel their chemistry.
I know they are pushing for a romance between Ashely and Ravi but for me, they just don’t work. That actor who plays Ravi is probably in his late 20s to early 30s but he looks like he’s barely out of his teens. He’s very boyish looking and acting and Ashely needs a man in her life.
Totally agree, Addison.
Never understood Eileen’s reasons for joining that show!
Just YUK!
Ashley was great with Simon, etc., yes!
Ravi? That makes no sense to me…can’t even imagine
a romance there. At all. Ever.
A mentoring relationship, A friendship. Sure.
Oh my gosh it is money she s nds chills up my spine she is so yuck
On the rare occasion that I watch RHOBH, it is only to watch for Eileen. She is the only “housewife” that exudes any class, IMO. The only “favor” this gig is doing her, is in her bank account. Watching, clearly she is not like the other “housewives,” and unfortunately, I think she “dumbed” herself down for a paycheck-a mighty good one from what I read. I can’t stand to watch Erika or Dorit. Those two make me cringe.
Hi, su,
I do not necessarily agree with the ‘slutty’ part; but, I do agree with your perception of the ‘Housewives’ show….trash!!
This is my opinion, also…..agree or disagree.
By the same token, I do not like the direction in which Eileen’s character, Ashley, is going. This is no fault of hers, but the writers’. The Ravi thing/ storyline is immature and drmeaning for a talent such as she.
I don’t think of her as slutty, either…that word doesn’t fit, but yes, those
shows are just trash, waaaay beneath everyone’s image of classy Eileen.
Always been so weird to me why she ever wanted to be part of it.
I like Eileen but she has never shown the softer side of Ashley I much preferred Brenda Epperson’s version
Every since she came back in 1999 she shows a cooler version I think it is because of her stint in Days as Jristen
Oops Kristen colder version
I feel much the same way as Suoooo. In fact I said just about the very same things she did on a Y&R comment board. I felt that Eileen , being on that trashy show made me lose some respect for her. Those women, for the most part, are not only vulgar but exhibitionists. I understand they do not care what some viewers think if them, though I am sure they have fans that admire as well as envy their lives. I just did not think Eileen needed that kind of fan adulation and attention.
LIKE EILEEN…THINK SHE IS A GOOD ACTRESS THAT REALLY NEEDS AN INTERESTING STORY ON Y&R…..BUT…WILL NOT TUNE IN TO THE TRASH SHOW AT NIGHT….IT IS DEMEANING TO ALL THESE SO-CALLED LADIES.

Sydney Malekeh Joins the Cast of ‘Days of Our Lives’ in Mystery Role: Who Do You Think She’s Playing?

There’s a new gal coming to Salem, or is she new and a recast? That’s what inquiring minds from Days of Our Lives fans have been trying to figure out since the Peacock soap opera dropped an Instagram video heralding actress‘ Sydney Malekeh’s arrival in Salem.
The soap did confirm that viewers will first see Malekeh on the September 9 episode. In the video, Malekeh is seen going set to set from her dressing room and in to the halls of Days of Our Lives studios.
What we do know id that Sydney has been acting professionally for 6 years and had appeared on Grey’s Anatomy, Apple TV’s Shrinking and the HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls.
Plenty of Malekeh’s DAYS castmates jumped into the comment thread with positive emojis symbols or written excitement including: Paul Telfer (Xander), Linsey Godfrey (Sarah), Sal Stowers (Lani), Conner Floyd (Chad), Eric Martsolf (Brady) and Christie Clark (Carrie) and more now that fans will finally see her on-air. Since Days of Our Lives tapes 10-11 months in advance, Sydney would have started taping the show sometime back in 2025.
DAYS fans think perhaps because the actress’ name is Sydney that she might be playing the grown-up daughter of Sami and EJ. That character hasn’t bee on the canvas since 2021.
So, who do you think Sydney Malekeh might be playing on Days of Our Lives? Drop your casting director thoughts via the comment section below.

Peacock Hikes Subscription Rates for Fourth Time in Four Years; ‘Days of Our Lives’ Fans Sound Off

While recently the streaming service Peacock reported turning a profit for its first time since its infancy, now comes word that the company is raising their prices for all customers, and in some cases it stared today on August 18.
The news of the subscription rate increases marks the fourth time the NBCUniversal streaming platform has done so in four years. So, on August 18, Peacock is increasing the prices for new or returning subscribers and customers, while current subscribers will see the rate increase on or after September 17 depending on their billing cycle when they initially signed up.
Here is the new pricing to follow along: Peacock Premium (which includes ads) will be $12.99/month, up two dollars from $10.99; Peacock Premium Plus will be $19.99/month, up three dollars increase from $16.99; and the Peacock Select tier (which includes current and past seasons of NBC and Bravo shows but excludes movies, live sports and Peacock originals) will increase a dollar from $7.99 to $8.99/month.

SUBSCRIBERS CONTINUE TO PAY MORE ACROSS THE STREAMER LANDSCAPE
It was back in June that the streamer reported that aid subscribers were up to 48 million adding a 2 million net gain during Q2 in of 2026. The subscription price hikes are rampant now in the entertainment streaming industry where over the last two years for example, Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV, Paramount+ have all raised their fees to consumers.
Peacock’s tier-levels feature not only Days of Our Lives, but reality hits such as The Traitors and Love Island USA, Bravo series, and a vault of Saturday Night Live, Law & Order, The Real Housewives franchise, and Below Deck episodes as well. Pecock Premium and Premium Plus subscribers have access to sports and live events, as well.
DAYS OF OUR LIVES SUBSCRIBERS HAD A FEW CHOICE WORDS FOR PEACOCK
As Days of Our Lives fans know, the soap opera moved from NBC to the streamer back in September of 2022 after 57 years on broadcast television. When the news hit X on the price increase, DAYS fans had a lot to say about it. Here are just a few of the comments below:
“I can’t believe Peacock and can’t come to a deal with Cordya to air old episodes of #Days. That alone would bring a ton of subscribers,” to If Peacock actually cared about #Days of Our Lives, gave the show the budget it needs for better sets, cameras, background actors and enough time to tell proper stories, I wouldn’t mind paying more. If the money actually showed on screen, the higher price would be worth it,” to “I will continue to pay for a Peacock subscription as long as #Days is on it, but did we know there was another price increase coming?” and more.
So, what do you think of the new price hike increase to watch Days of Our Lives and your other favorite shows and events on Peacock? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

THE THEMES BEHIND VERONICA & JULIAN
Director Otoja Abit shared this statement on the feature film, “Veronica & Julian is about the right people who have a chance meeting at the wrong time. It’s a look at two people who don’t grow apart—they just grow up. This film is an authentic exploration of an imminent ending and how two people deeply in love got there. It aims to be quiet while telling a relatable story about modern-day relationships.”
Abit continued, “As a society, mainstream romantic films are often delivered through fantastical aspirations. I created this film believing that viewers who have experienced a breakup can relate to Veronica and Julian, depending on their perspective. They’re a couple navigating some of the most familiar obstacles in love: miscommunication, timing and pride.”
He concluded, “It’s a story about endings told through the small moments we often don’t recognize until they’re gone. With the support of the Panavision New Filmmaker Program, I approached the story with a deeper sense of visual control while maintaining the naturalism that defines each character.”
