It’s been building for months the cat and mouse game of Days of our Lives Kristen DiMera (Eileen Davidson) and Dr. Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian).
From being tied-up at one time or another by each other, to their verbal words of hatred, you know when one spews venom to another attractive person on the soaps, it can only lead to one place … the bedroom … or a romp on the floor!
On yesterday’s episode of DAYS, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) lashed out at Daniel and finally ended their relationship, and Kristen is now attempting to ruin Theresa’s (Jen Lilley) life armed with the truth, so she can have Brady (Eric Martsolf) all to herself! Now, how do you think that might go? Nevertheless, these two unlikely adversaries are about to get a little more cozy with one another, and On-Air On-Soaps has the first look exclusive clip of Kristen and Daniel getting into another heated argument which somehow turns into a big lip-lock that will air on Thursday’s episode of the NBC soap opera!

I can’t stand Theresa. It’s nothing against the actress because she plays the role very well. I just can’t stand the character. I would love to see Kristen and Anne mop the floor with Theresa! HA!

I totally agree,poor Maggie is going to have a hard time defending her son to the town if it ever becomes public,Maggie is going to have a hard time dealing with it herself. I think the writers have not giving us enough inforr on Daniel’s past to explain his attraction to bad girls, we hardly know anything about his surrogate mother and bio dad or Daniel’s upbringing, something must have happened to him to give him this unhealthy attraction for the wrong ladies, except his attraction to the saintly Jennifer.

I am so sick of Dr. Jonas being in every story line on Days of our Lives. Why did they even bring Kristen back? I thought she and Nicole would have some sort of story. What a waste. Now that Sami is gone the show should be called Daniel’ s Days of his life.
That is my problem. If Brady punches Daniel in the face over this, it might be worth it. If Daniel feels the fallout, no problem, because I always found slutty Daniel far more interesting. If, however, he still comes out of this as the cornerstone of Salem, it is going to sicken me. I was annoyed that Abigail, because she is a “good character” was never looked down upon by anyone but Sami during the whole EJ affair story. Everyone else gave her a pass and said she was a sweet, caring, wonderful gal (who slinked after a married man like a barn cat tubbing against pails and cow legs at milking time). Characters have flwas. Play that. Plus, if they can bring up Jack raping Kayla every two minutes, someone really needs to say “Daniel always was a slut, it’s no shocker he would do this.” If that happens, bring it on. Furthermore, the whole JJ/Daniel as best friends thing annoys me. JJ has an uncle in town, Lucas. How nice it would be to see way more of Lucas. He should be the one JJ turns to, not Daniel. The poem, does not say, “Like sands through the hourglass, these are the days of Daniel Jonas’ life.”
OOOH YEEAAHHH!! They’re so twisted!!!!! The only part that sucked was that cheesy music, but — I cannot WAIT till Jennifer finds out about Dan & Kritter – hopefully this ends the nightmare of Dannifer once and for all!!!!

This doesn’t surprise me after the way they were rolling each all over the storage room floor trying to get the advantage on each other in that hotel. Actually, they do have chemistry. After watching Jennifer unravel for 2 days I’m convinced this will completely spin her head around like Linda Blair in The Exorcist! She’s just 1 meltdown away from boiling bunnies. I was super surprised today when Daniel was asking Jen if she was breaking up with him, as I thought they broke up months ago! Well, the way he’s been shrugging her off I find it odd he was so broken up & bowling at this late date. It seems like a plot point just to give Daniel a better reason to hop in the sack with Kristen other than he’s just hor…um, worked up for her…
she’s leaving next week, do we really care, sigh… although I hate the Dannifer pairing so this is a little excitement.

I thought since day one of Kristen’s return-when she kidnapped Daniel in the hotel room-that both actor’s body language screamed passion! How Daniel was ever attracted to Jennifer is beyond me. I can’t get past Jennifer’s wardrobe! Kristen is a temptress and vixen-LOVE HER! Bring it! Tired of Jennifer. Both of her kids need to move out and live their own lives. Will be nice to have a break from her-while she visits her mother. I hope that Kristen smacks Theresa out of town. Can’t stand Theresa.
Daniel used to a bad boy bedding mothers and daughters alike— then they turned him to Mr. Bland and paired him with Ms. Bland– so this is the most life I’ve seen in this character for years— too bad Kristen is leaving she might be just the tonic Dr. Dan needs to get his mojo back.

The break up of Jennifer & Daniel has been a long time coming. I really didn’t think about Daniel & Kristen however that clip made me think differently. With so many favorites being off the show, things must get “shaken up.” Can’t wait!!

It seems I am one of the few who really like Jennifer and Daniel. After all they have been thru it just seems kind of sad for them not to have a happy ending. No pay off for those who liked them together. Jennifer is the good girl. I think that’s a good thing. Perhaps they have made her too judgemental but lots of good people are. There needs to be somebody happy on the show. Maggie and Victor should not be the only couple happy. I had hoped that Jennifer and Daniel would get together and get married for the 50 th anniversary. Jenn isn’t too old to have a baby is she. Guess that won’t happen now.

One of the things I like about Days is the way they do families. My family is not like that. I don’t hang out with my cousins and aunts etc. Yet I enjoy Jennifer and Hope when they get together. (Glad they mentioned Jenn’s mother….wish they would bring her back).
Loving Aiden and Hope. They have been so cute together for lack of a better word. A slow build to a long thought out story. I only hope they get together.

After AS, ED is my favorite. It’s sad that it was AS’s last episode on DOOL today as SB left for Hollywood. And, it will be another low when ED leaves DOOL soon. But as they say; it was wonderful as long as they were there. Now there will be fond memories of AS as SB and ED as KD.

53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Nominations Announced: ‘The Young and the Restless’ Tops With 18, ‘Beyond the Gates’ With 16
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the full list of nominees for the upcoming 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, and it was CBS daytime’s The Young and the Restless and broadcast television newest soap opera, Beyond the Gates that racked up the most nominations with 18 and 16, respectively.
The full reveal on Tuesday follows the announcement of several major categories including Lead Actor and Actress on Monday via Extra and Entertainment Tonight and The View today revealing Daytime Drama Series and more.
The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmys ceremony is set to take place on Friday, October 30 at the historic Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California.

In a statement, Adam Sharp, President and CEO of NATAS expressed, “We’re proud to honor the extraordinary talent and creative teams whose work continues to define and elevate daytime television, As the Daytime landscape evolves and new forms of storytelling emerge, we remain committed to recognizing the innovation happening across the industry.”
“Each year, the Daytime Emmy Awards celebrate the creativity, passion, and dedication that drive this vibrant community of storytellers,” said Rachel Schwartz, Head of the Daytime Emmy Awards. “Congratulations to this year’s nominees, whose work continues to entertain, inspire and connect with audiences every day. We look forward to celebrating their remarkable achievements in Hollywood this October.”
The Daytime Emmy Awards have recognized outstanding achievement in television programming and crafts since 1974, honoring work in a variety of genres, including daytime dramas, talk series, entertainment news, culinary, adventure, instructional and legal/courtroom programming.
This year’s Lifetime Achievement Honoree, Gold & Silver Circle Inductees, and ceremony host will be announced at a later date.

Monday on Entertainment Tonight, the second set of nominations for the 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced which included the highly-coveted Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series – Actress and Outstanding Daytime Talk Series.
ET followed suit after Extra announced the nominees, as previously reported, in the Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series – Actor and Outstanding Daytime Talk Host.
Now, five leading ladies of the soaps are vying for the gold for Lead Actress and the category marked the first-ever nominations for CBS daytime’s Beyond the Gates when two actresses made the final cut. Only General Hospital is not represented among the actresses this year after Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) took home the trophy last year.

THE FIVE LEADING LADIES OF THE SOAPS ARE …
The 2026 Lead Actress nominees are: Stacy Haiduk (Kristen DiMera), Days of Our Lives, Karla Mosley (Dani Dupree), Beyond the Gates, Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers), The Young and the Restless, Heather Tom (Katie Logan), The Bold and the Beautiful, and Tamara Tunie (Anita Dupree), Beyond the Gates.
This marks the first Daytime Emmy nominations for Karla Mosley and Tamara Tunie. In addition, this marks the first-time in her career that Stacy Haiduk had received a Lead Actress nod after two Supporting Actress nominations.
Meanwhile, Michelle Stafford had previously won 3 Emmys – 2 for Lead Actress and 1 for Supporting, but this recognition makes it her 11th overall nomination.
Heather Tom currently is tied for the most all-time Daytime Emmy wins with One Life to Live alum and General Hospital guest star, Erika Slezak. The B&B star has 19 nominations throughout her career.

DAYTIME TALK SERIES
In the Outstanding Daytime Talk Series category, the nominees are: 3rd Hour of Today, The Drew Barrymore Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Live with Kelly and Mark, Today with Jenna and Friends and The View.
“We’re proud to honor the extraordinary talent and creative teams whose work continues to define and elevate daytime television,” NATAS president and CEO Adam Sharp said in a statement on the nominations. “As the Daytime landscape evolves and new forms of storytelling emerge, we remain committed to recognizing the innovation happening across the industry.”
The rest of the nominations will be revealed tomorrow on Tuesday July 14 starting on The View and then the full list of nominees in both the main and creative arts will be released by NATAS. The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are slated for October 30th in Hollywood, California.

It’s Daytime Emmy nomination week, and as previously reported things kick-off on Monday, July 13 when Entertainment Tonight (7pm ET) will announce the nominees for Lead Actress category and Daytime Talk Series for the upcoming 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards. In addition on Monday, Extra (7pm ET) will reveal the nominees for Lead Actor and Daytime Talk Host.
On Tuesday, The View (11am ET) starts things off with their announcement of Daytime Drama, Entertainment News program and Outstanding Daytime Personality-Daily. That is followed by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) full reveal of all the categories beginning at 12noon ET/9am PT on their website and their official social handles on X and Instagram.
Then, Tuesday night at 8pm ET/5pm PT join Michael Fairman as he hosts his 12th annual Daytime Emmy Nominations Special 2026 live on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel where he will chat with some of the just announced nominees as we celebrate the hard work of the men and women in front of the camera who will be going for gold.
WHEN ARE THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
This year, the 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be handed out on October 30 in ceremonies in Hollywood, California (Venue yet to be revealed). At that time, as like last year, both the major categories and creative arts will be presented. There is no word yet on a broadcast partner for the annual celebration of daytime programming, or if it will soley be streamed on NATAS’ watch.theemmys.tv and various apps and platforms.
