GENERAL HOSPITAL: Anders Hove and Finola Hughes Bring It In Dramatic Faison/Anna Face-Off!

Is there any villain in the daytime soaps quite as spectacular as Cesar Faison (Anders Hove)?  In deliciously intense scenes on Wednesday’s episode of ABC’s General Hospital, it was one of the showdowns, or shall we call them “face-off’s” (so many prothestic masks, ya know) that fans have been waiting for.

After capturing the “Flukealike”, who has a gun held on Julian (William deVry), Anna (Finola Hughes)  rips the mask off the imposter, and lo and behold behind it was none other than Anna’s number one enemy, Faison!  Horrified and shocked, Anna with tears of rage, upset, and fear rolling down her face cannot believe that Faison is in front of her … although she was aware he was on the loose somewhere!

However, the clever Dane twists the scene and places the blame on the situation on Anna for having him held captive for over a year on Spoon Island, something he begins to tell to Detective Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna)! Faison goes on to say how the police commish faked his transfer to Steinmauer Maximum Security Prison.   He then confronts Anna in front of Dante, and says, “Don’t you lie to that boy, don’t you lie, after all we’ve been through!”

Anna has Faison taken away as her cover-ups begin to unravel! Later still, Anna has to finally tell Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), after having Julian arrested as well, that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) is very much alive too!

And in the end of the episode, as we know, the Fluke story continues, with another intriguing twist, and we will leave that, at that.

Kudos to the amazing scene partnership between Finola Hughes and Anders Hove who truly make Anna and Faison one of the most twisted and greatest rivalries of the soaps of all-time!

So, what did you think of the Anna and Faison scenes? Will Anna’s cover-ups ultimately be her downfall?  Comment below!

Amazing scenes, Anna should definitely be punished for her crimes against FAISON!

I do hope you’re kidding.

No not kidding, just because Anna is commissioner doesn’t entitle her to go rogue!

DR O is chief of staff and has gone beyond the medical doctrine which dictates “Do no Harm.” She has kidnapped, tortured and beaten people.
If you’re going to apply that kind of logic to Anna, then it follows you must apply it that hideous woman.

Anna shouldn’t be trying to be to straight an arrow she should be bending the law to keep up with these crazy criminals. She was after all a wsb agent , aren’t they more like the c i a then fbi?

Is Nathan going to be Mikkos Cassidines son…i see Dr.O and Helene in a confrontation seen so thats my guess…i know M.C. died over 30 years ago but writers easily change history…what if Mikkos was kept frozen and it was Dr.O who microwaved him and thawed him out…lol…she and Mikkos had an affair and she became pregnant but didnt tell him and also worried it would ruin any chance she’ll have with her beloved Ceasar…she also feared Helenes wrath…and Victors whom she also slept with…also what if the Q mansion Fluke is really Mikkos…he doesnt know Sonny or maybe off camera he did…just a thought!!!

Julian explained how he met Fluke to Alexis and what he said revealed that there was a person in PC who looked just like Fluke.

whoa!
the way Faison was looking at Nathan gave me the shivers.. ”that look” .. wow!

su0000..He may have been calculating the distance to Genoa City and SHARON NEWMAN…LOL!!!

I still think Faison is the father…which I DIDN’T think because Dr. O loves Faison so much and he always wanted a son…why would she keep him from him? But it seemed to me today that he was…and Dr. O…even in her passionate love…knows how twisted he is and wanted to keep her son a secret…Just a theory…….

I think Faison is really Victor who was wearing a double mask…lol

Hi, jimh. I don’t know who Mikkos is, but your premise sounds good to me. Is he another of Helena’s brothers or sons? Her husband?
Helena really creeps me out……as does Fluke. She looks like a corpse with too much make-up on, and he as one with fake, serpent’s eyes. I cannot look at them without revulsion; my senses are not so robust. But, far-be-it -from me to naysay what fans of these two feel. They seem to be very popular. JMO.
Also, this storyline has lost its spice. How much longer are we to wait?…the plot does not thicken any longer for me, but, needless to say, I will never tire being entertained by Faison. I have a soft spot for both him and Liesl. They are the only two that enliven the scenes, whether said scenes be with Anna, Britt or each other.
It seems that everyone fears Helena’s wrath….how powerful can one human being/walking dead be? I am probably outnumbered, I like reality….not too fond of fantasy. I love GH, but I can do without these two.
I am also confused as to why Fluke did not act more like Luke as he is now doing? I did notice, though, that Fluke got a little too close to Alice…what’s up with that? Was he trying to assault her sexually or kill her? Perhaps I read too much into it? But, considering his penchant for indiscriminately sniffing any skirt, well…you know !
I also think that Victor is alive. Liesl shot someone else wearing Victor’s face/mask….? Too far-fetched? Oh, Lordy, Lord…..I am starting to think like TPTB…lol…later

Helene is going to be wearing a Dr.Liesl mask and will remain in PC…real Dr.Liesl goes on the run with Faison, unaware its really Victor who wore a double mask…Helene uses mind control on Jason who helped Faison/Victor to escape…Mikkos was Helenes husband who ‘died’ during the ice princess storyline Helene blames Luke…but its really getting hard, and annoying to figure out who the fluke he is…i thought for sure Alice was going to be suspicious of him after that…is Alice really a woman?

Mikkos is Helena dead husband and Alexis father, that would make Her and Nathan half sibs. Could be Valentine Cassadine, her brother ,heard of but dead?! Faison is such a presense on screen. Thus whole thing is getting crazy. I would like to see flashbacks to make it more real

Really Jim H next time you could post a spoiler alert instead of ruining it for everyone!

Is Lord Larry back in the mansion wearing an Alice mask? Stella would not be amused.

David: if you were familiar with jimh’s posts you’d know that what he writes are possible scenarios; not real ones. Mostly, he is right on the mark. Jimh is not spoiling anything for anyone….I hope you are merely being facetious….

David was kidding.

CeeCee, good to see you back. I will try and keep this Rated “G” but how could Tracy have slept with Fluke and not noticed certain parts were different? Was he wearing a mask below the belt!

@Timmm: You’re too funny…..Thank you Timmm. I have become so obsessed with GH that I post every chance I get…right now, I’m in the teachers’s lounge…I seriously need to stop…LOL.

I said the same thing about Anna and Duke. A male’s genitalia is as good as a fingerprint…LOL. All the men in Port Charles should have a line-up. This reminds me of a LAW AND ORDER :SVU episode where the family jewels of a certain suspect had to be displayed/paraded for evidential proof.
So, as you point out, why could Tracy not know?…later.

CeeCee…we have never met and never will but i consider you a best friend and very happy your back…my mail isnt working lately so i dont get to see my replies…i have to come back here and see if there were any which is daunting with my second round of the flu…yes, you are correct…i love guessing possible scenerios or writing ones that i think would work better…i sometimes put spoiler but they arent…they are only me guessing…i should put foiler alert in honor of fluke…lol…i should say just a guess…me bad…in case some take it to seriously…but Harry might be right…David does sound he could be joking…Timmm was funny about Tracy…lol…i think Tracy cared what was below the belt…she knew her Lukipoo was drugged and probably thought thats why certain things in Paradise werent the same as before…anyway looks like my guess is 100 percent correct…didnt think of Britts part but i guess her taking off is partly do to the actress’s desire to be recurring…now i still believe Helene will wear a Liesl mask in order to stay in PC and i cant wait until she is confronted by Nikolous over the missing Britt, unware he is talking to his Aunt HELLena and not mutter from Hell…wishing you and your family Happy Holidays!!!

If I misread David, I apologize. But, regardless, jimh, I will always have your back, friend…later.

Okay, I must expound on the Jason/Helena storyline and his relevance in this cryptic plot.
So, jimh, I will mimic you, telling in which direction this story should go.

Jason will temporarily kow-tow to Helena, but, in the midst of all this demonic imbroglio, something will go awry with the she-devil and Co.’s plans……Jason will wake up from this force of brain-control which will put a wedge in the evil-doers schemes. Jason will willfully eschew Helena’s bidding. He will pretend to follow her lead, but , Jason will obliterate the nest of vipers. Jason will be the hero….And, that’s the end of that. Too simplistic?

One more thing…get Sam out of Jason’s world, period……Her acting was deplorable. Where were the sobs and the big fat tears running down her sallow cheeks? Too much anger and not enough sorrow .

I was joking I have been around enough to see jimh post things like this. I hope he isnt 100% right but a couple things I can already see coming true. If I thought what he wrote were actual spoilers I wouldnt even read his posts.

I was worried things would slow down on GH once November sweeps ended but the first week December has continued with some great stuff and some surprises despite jimh’s foilers, lol

I agree about Sam…no emmy for her…lol…i bet your right about Jason turning the tables on HELLina…i actually liked Sabrina and Micheal in scenes together…they had more chemistry than he with Kiki and she with Patrick…Sabrina and Micheal shouldve been paired in the beginning…i see Sabrina and Carlos leaving town together but first me thinks Carlos will be the one who finds Ava and turns her in…later my friend!!!

i absolutely love it!!! I’m so tired of seeing comments of people saying they don’t like it, when this is the best GH has been in years. I’ve been enjoying it so much. However, I really hope that there’s another person involved in this Fluke story. I know that Faison, Larry, Jerry, & Helena are all workin together, but I’d love it if someone else was calling the shots, but then again how can someone be the boss of Helena Cassadine or Jerry Jacks, or Cesar Faison?! This has been must see, and I can’t wait to watch GH everyday!!! Yay!

I was hoping it was Mikkos Cassidine but some could be right that its Bill Eckart because you wouldnt be able to pull off a mask to prove he is a fake since he already looks like Luke being they are cousins…identical cousins…maybe Patty Lane and Cathy Lane played by Patty Duke was there mothers…lol

Unless Julian is in on the deception too he told Alexis that he meet Fluke/Peter Caspin 10 years after he was in WP. Peter told Julian when they were heading to PC that there is someone there who looks exactly like him. The only person who looks exactly like Fluke is Luke…. we’ll see.

Well said, Kyle! I agree 100%. Unfortunately, some people are just miserable, negative people every day of their life. Can’t do anything about that. Just keep enjoying GH, like myself and the vast majority that are loving the show right now have been, and let those other people continue to miss out. It’s their loss.

Uhhhh……..? Dan? Hey, it’s okay if you want to disagree with people who offer a critical voice of GH. Disagree away. But what is not alright is to call them “miserable negative people every day of their lives.”
This is wrong for three reasons:
1. A negative opinion on a storyline does not necessarily equate to that person being miserable and negative every day of their lives. While GH has shown improvement and I am enjoying much of it, I do not enjoy the redundant, dizzying, Scooby Doo-like stories which involve masks, Flucks and red herrings. I assure you I am a very happy person with a full life.
2. You should not make personal insults based on a disagreement about a mere soap opera.
3. See 2.

Hey Harry, I wasn’t speaking about you or anyone in particular with those comments, so no need to take them personally. I’m glad you are a very happy person with a full life. As am I, something we have in common.

Nor do I need to be lectured by you, and talked down to, about what is and is not right for me to say on a public message board. I did not personally insult anyone, just made a general statement about some of the comments I read on here and elsewhere on a daily basis. It’s my right to state my opinion, just like it’s your right to do so, or anyone else’s right. That’s what makes this country great. Have a great night!

Yes, Kyle. The storyline, in its inception was very interesting. But it has now become worn…like an old pair of shoes. The luster has faded….time to trade them in for a new pair. I would like for this story to point more in Jason’s direction. That, and the Faison/Anna/Liesl storyline is what is holding my interest….so, a little more speed is desperately needed. Even Michelle Stafford, who is my favorite soap star ever, is not as captivating with her present storyline ….very disappointing ! You may be tired of the comments, I am tired of Fluke and the immortal witch.LOL.
By the same token, I really enjoyed the scene with Lulu, Rocco and Fluke, albeit it was a put-on as far as Fluke was concerned. I found that so endearing….the baby is so cute….he resembles Jay Mohr…LOL.

I echo those sentiments, CeeCee! While others may wax wonderment over the Fluke farce and/or the maternally-minded madness of Nina, for me, Liesl and her twisted love life remain to be one of the most compelling and mysterious of GH tales, made only more magnificent by Kathleen Gati’s perfectly persnickety presence as the officious Dr. O. The fact that such an obviously brilliant and accomplished woman can be so far gone for the odious, wizened troll of terror that is Cesar Faison never ceases to amaze me, yet Gati demonstrates her deep-seated devotion in a most genuine and believable manner, so much so, that it’s palpable! Her quivering desire and sparkling eyes whenever the mere mention of that “maniacal Dane” is uttered amuses me to no end. On one hand, it would be emotionally satisfying to see this lusty lady finally land her, ahem, “prize,” but on the other, there have to be so many other secrets and lies behind the frosty frau’s closely held history. I shall never tired of this amazing actress and her inspired interpretation of the lovelorn Liesl Obrecht!!!! (Especially adore her family scenes with her kinder and sister!!!! More, please, more!!!!) As for your comment regarding Rocco’s resemblance to the comical Jay Mohr, good call, CeeCee!!!! I always thought he had an overgrown babyface, especially with those petulant little lips!!!! Too funny……

‘Petulant little lips’…Shay, that really is too funny! (Off subject, but, did you notice Sam’s stubby fingers? Weird looking hands…I’m so catty…LOL).
Oh, yeah…The Dane and the Doc could have been created by Dr. Frankenstein (actually, the lot of them)….. Long Live Cesar and Liesl !!!!!

The mask is one of those things which should have been a one shot deal. It’s now become trite and redundant and indicative of lazy writing.
Please no more masks….it’s just so damn Scooby Doo

Im afraid Helene is going to wear a Dr.Liesl mask to remain in PC while the real Liesl goes on the run with Faison who escaped jail thanks to Jake/Jason after Helene used mind control on him…lol

Zoinks Harry!

These two actors are great together. Anna looks so pissed at him but it ALMOST looks as if she want to kiss him for some strange reason. Tension, it comes in all flavors!

Yes, they are great together which is why they don’t need any more gimmicks like the masks.
Between that and all the red herrings and the Flukes, they are estranging this viewer from the story and the characters.

You took the words right out of my mouth, Harry.

Well, it was anti-climatic to have “Fluke” be unmasked the way he was. I knew there would be more. I know this has gone on forever but I like the twist. Harry, I think they will drag this into February sweeps. If it goes beyond that I will really be pissed. I think it may even wrap before that since Jason will start to remember himself by Christmas and I think that story will dethrone Fluke.

Both PHENOMENAL actors, and I never doubt for a second that Faison has a dark, twisted obsessive love for Anna, and I never doubt for a second that Anna is equally terrified of, and filled with hatred for Faison.

It’s a treat to watch them!

I also have to say I loved when Anna pretended recently to Liesl at the hospital that she was Faison in an Anna mask and impersonated his accent and asked for a kiss to torture Obrecht. The accent was amazing! Finola Hughes did amazingly as Obrecht in the Anna mask way back when also! Finola is a true treasure for GH.

I cant believe Faison had the never to try and shame Anna in front of Dante and Julian. Luckily Dante understood Anna’s plight.

I wouldn’t call resetting the Fluke story to the beginning an “intriguing twist” in the slightest.

I always love Anna/faison scenes its so electrifying between both of them you can’t get your eyes off the screen, about what Anna did to faison that should not come to be Anna downfall at all the writer’s should not classify that has her downfall, Anna did what she had to do this crazy man been obsess with Anna most of her life, threaten kidnapped the list goes on & on he always escape from prison so she & her ex Robert did what is best for their family

Cripes, they couldn’t even maintain Nathans paternity for 6 months before deciding something better worked.

Maintain what paternity? Victor’s DNA wasn’t a match.

I really hoped he would turn out to be Victor’s son, I mean, how great would it be to make Nathan a Cassadine? Still hoping that works out somehow.

You know, the way they switch things up with lightning speed, I can’t even keep track anymore. Which is one of the reasons why December 31st GH and I part company and B&B and I are going to (hopefully) start going steady.

Agree! She was actually kinda deranged, scary when she didi that…she encompassed his aura in that scene…great acting moment!

comment above is in the wrong section. but…

to jonboy. it was established back when Victor died that he wasn’t the real father. that’s why Dr. O killed him…so he woldn’t tell Nathan the truth. It’s been a mystery this whole time so it’s no surprise…

“Is there any villain in the daytime soaps quite as spectacular as Cesar Faison (Anders Hove)?”

Eh, those scenes were a little underwhelming for me. Perhaps because we saw it all last year when he pretended to be Duke. Those scenes were much more potent because Anna was moments from sleeping with him. Plus, I have not seen Cesar act as menacing as he did last year when he shot and killed Bernie and kicked Jason into the water.

My God I can’t get enough GH. I wish it was on the weekends. Best show on tv.

I think the now “FLUKE” is Jerry—

Can this “Fluke” storyline end, please? It’s been dragged on for far too long, and is a bit too much for my liking.

Finola Hughes and Anders Hove are excellent actors. Nobody plays the villain better than Anders (well, maybe Roscoe Born…). I enjoy any scene with Anna and Cesar. Great job!!

You just transported me back to the 80s! Oh man, how great WAS Roscoe Born?! When he played the twins on SANTA BARBARA, you got scary and sexy. I don’t get sexy out of Anders Hove. 🙂

In a very, very weird way, Anders sometimes is sexy!!!

Lol, PV. I get what you mean. Faison, sexy? Can’t ever imagine him in that role…too funny. He is a great entertaining cartoon character, though….love him!……fits the part to the letter. Great acting !!!! Later.

I know what you mean, sadie…but in a VERY weird way, lol! He’s got that European thing…the accent, the long hair and slim body…the chic…but it’s all jumbled into a crazy heap of madness complete with electroshock hair! IF he were playing an emotionally stable guy…and his hair was less fried….he’d probably be a contender!

To answer your question mr. Fairman, is there any villian in the soap opera world quite as spectacular as Cesar faison? The answer is no but did faison hide his stool or high heal shoes? This is getting interesting with all the villains out n about, the story has a few wholes but I’m still being entertained so for now no bitching on my part.

I think Faison is pretty spectacular but the all time best soap villain of all time was AMC’s Billy Clyde Tuggell. And guess what? He didn’t need no stinking mask to make himself so.

GH’s Grant Putnam.

Grant Putnam was a great villian surprise he hasn’t come out knocking on Anna’s door , be great if he came back and tried to kidnap little Emma but was stopped by Anna, but in this version anna rescues herself and is not “saved” by no robert or duke. Grant can come back with satan 2.0, how creepy would that be?

I love Faison and Anna’s scenes but all these twists need to be wrapped up now. The masks, the fakes, the back-from-the-dead people, the deceptions of who know what when and the motivations of the various clans have been pushed so far in complexity that it makes us care less. And then there’s the kidnapping of Ava’s baby. The storylines have gone on far too long.

BRAVO!! Anders Hove and Finola Hughes /Anna and Faison ..

Anna and Faison are arch rivals, nenises, and they never fail to have my full attention and they always put me on the edge..!!!
this story is fun and intense.. just the way I like it !!

(RC and team are brilliant with twist and turns and surprises!!!)

Another mask storyline alert! After Helene uses mind control on a programmed Jason, Jason helps Faison escape jail…Dr. Liesl and Faison go on the run…Helene remains in PC wearing a Dr. Liesl mask!!!

Good one, jimh.

GH is at its best right now! I’m loving how the Fluke story has involved so many villains and characters currently on the canvas, it’s amazing! The Anna/Faison showdown was brilliant, I absolutely love Anders Hove. He’s perhaps the best villain on GH, his scenes with anyone are always amazing, especially Anna. Finola Hughes is a gem and yesterday, she was at her best against Faison. I’m really intrigued to see how this all plays out.

Faison and Dr.Liesl run off together after Helene uses a programmed Jason to help Faison escape jail…then Helene will remain in PC as a fake Dr.O in yet another mask storyline…

Wow Wow, Wow! Yesterday was amazing. Going to watch again on the re- run channel it was so good. Others have mentioned the tension between Faison and Anna that at times has seemed more than the love/hate thing. Reminds me of years ago when Faison was holding Anna prisoner (I think) at Wyndemere. There seemed to be almost a seductive scene where he wanted to kiss Anna, and she almost seemed to want to respond. Don’t remember anymore. But it was obviously memorable. Again great actin, plus more.

Another great GH

GH continues to be on fire!!! I’ll watch Finola Hughes and Anders Hove play off each other any day of the week, and twice on Sunday! Finola is always tremendous in everything she does. Her getting snubbed for an Emmy nomination this year was a huge disgrace, one of many with that sham of an awards show, hopefully the same won’t happen this coming year.

Anders Hove is one of those captivating actors that you just love to watch. As the old saying goes, he could read names out of the phone book and make it interesting. I know it’s not always easy to make the schedules work, because he lives overseas, but I would love to see the show make a long-term commitment to him. I remember in the interview Michael Fairman did with him on this site last year, he said he’d be open to that idea.

The people complaining about the Fluke story having too many twists and turns really crack me up. That’s what a good soap opera, or a good TV show in general does, it has twists and turns to keep you guessing. I don’t know about anyone else, but I like to not know what’s gonna happen next, or know which direction a story is going in. That’s what makes it fun to watch. When you can guess everything that’s gonna happen before it happens, that’s boring. And if GH were doing that, the same people would be complaining that the show was too predictable.

Hi Dan. I understand what you’re saying…you love the suspense, and so do I. However, personally, I think that when a storyline goes on and on at nauseam, it loses flavor and becomes stale. Perhaps I’m too impatient, but it is time to wrap it up.
Regardless, Dan, it does not mean I do not like GH….I always look forward catching up….later.

A GOOD TV show does not ask us to accept facial masks that change height, weight, nationality, penis size, voices, accents, and brain function. A good tv show would have no reason to write such crap in the first place.

A good TV show asks us to accept a lot of things that wouldn’t happen in real life, because it’s just that, it’s not real life. I mean we have popular shows on these days that have zombies walking around eating people, and shows where people come back from the dead to solve crimes, and so on, and so forth.

Are the masks on GH over the top and not something that would happen in real life? Sure, and I don’t know about you, but that’s why I watch TV. Cause it’s not real life. If I wanted real life, I’d watch the news. TV is an escape. When you start analyzing it like it’s real life, then what’s the purpose of watching in the first place?

Dan…perfect response! Absolutely perfect and completely agree! Personally, I can deal with all the fantastical stuff because that’s what makes it fiction/fantasy/escapism/over-the-top soapy. What I personally have a more difficult time with is when characters act out of the norm…or barely have a reaction when someone comes back who they thought was dead…how quickly they recover when someone dies…how let’s say Anna and Jordan speak on their phones to each other on park benches…when they’re supposed to be on opposite sides of the law. When Luke came back…which we all know he didn’t…but Tracy and Lulu thought and still think it’s him. Considering he’s been gone a year, locked up and drugged in an insane asylum…just barely escaped with his life…they’re like…”so glad you’re back! we were so worried!” LOL…and then everyone just carries on…It’s funny how the genre, or particularly GH is so “out there” , and yet the more realistic aspects of human nature are sometimes dismissed. Patrick losing Robin the first time was realistic to me…Sabrina’s grief, Molly’s grief…even Michael’s now. Sonny? Devastated he lost Connie and then on to Olivia and then Carly. Elizabeth fallin in love with AJ…he dies…barely a reaction. Falling for Rick again…she THINKS he died…little reaction and then back to Nicolas. Rafe dies…Sam barely blinked an eye even though she was his foster mom. THOSE things bother me…the stuff you defended…I’m completely with you on that.

Facial masks that change height, weight, body proportions, voices, accents, penis size, and personalities. No form of entertainment asks viewers to accept such ludicrous things. Except soaps. Writers are really bereft of ideas and creativity to resort to this crap.

hey
Masks are the WSB secret weapon..
Mission Impossible used masks all the time as a weapon too, but the WSB’s are better..
and– 007 used masks, but still the WSB are better ..
Many spies and government agencies of great TV/Movie’s fame –
(drum roll))) have used the —> ‘Mask’ ..
Mission Impossible and 007 are not ”crap” .. either is General Hospitals WSB..
They and other are proud users of the ‘mask !!

Lololol. How did I know my first response would be from you? Passionately defending the mask.

How true, Jovin. As much as I love, love, love Dr. O., she must be 50 lbs heavier than Anna, whom she, herself, calls “a scarecrow”……yet, Liesl and her mask, passed herself off as Anna, and everyone bought it?
And, speaking of private parts, shouldn’t Anna have been familiar with Duke’s pride and joy when Faison was impersonating him with the mask?…LOL.

Anna didn’t sleep with fake duke , so no penis comparison possible!

Aria, lol…so funny. I thought she had, my bad…later.

CeeCee, Aria-
AAAha!
that would have been great..
Anna trying to figure out the mystery of the Duke Penis !!

Dante; well, Anna what is not right about his penis?
Anna; well, it is the ………………………………….. lol
Now, that would have fun!!

Well Tracy slept with Fluke…apparently she’s not that familiar with the “little fella!” lol

EWWWW…JUST….EWWWW

It’s crazy that all the people in Port Charles would’ve gotten the answer to 2 questions had they talked to Robin and she told them Jason was alive and Victor caused Patrick’s car accident slick writers I guess I’m the only one that notice this lol

Love Finola and Anders, love them even more together!

Whatever complaints there might be about masks, too many villains, etc. when, before Ron and Frank coming on board were there scenes like those Anna, and Alexis, and Tracy, and even Monica in her briefer times on the canvas, have had the past two years. The only people with consistent scenes of length were Sonny, Jason and Carly (and I would argue that Sonny and Carly have had more challenging material during this period than years before).

Maybe AJ will pop up alive again and Sonny will get his get of of jail free card–but the consequences of his and Carly’s actions are being fully explored–and while those characters seem incapable of taking responsibility for their actions, their hypocritical justifications are seen through by most everyone else in Port Charles.

Sam was still going on about Jason’s “code” and him being a “man of honor”–but what do you want to bet that when this new Jason regains those memories that he’ll have a real crisis of the soul and will see through that crap as well.

This is real soap drama–and it grows out of the history of the show and it makes use of characters and more often than not actors and particularly actresses that have been woefully underused for decades.

And is it fantastical, and too mob filled….well, the masks are not more absurd that Casey the alien or the ice princess. And while we have a lot of mobsters and criminals on the canvas, we are having less chest pumping about codes of “honor” (and comparitively fewer shoot outs) and a lot more exploring the real emotional fallout of that line of work than ever before in the show. Who would have ever thought that Sonny and Carly would suffer real consequences for their actions (and despite the likelihood of jail time being short, I don’t think they will get Michael back any time soon).

And we get Finola Hughes with all her beauty and complexity center screen day after day. We get a comic relief character like Alice with layers. And some very subtle (in the midst of the cartoons) exploration of the fruits of violence and betrayal.

well said west virginia fan!

Omg I haven’t been this happy watching GH in many years. Anders and Finola are perfection. There is something between those two (Anna and Faison) that is so delicious, I can’t describe it. All I do know, is that I want more. This is what happens when writers use a show’s veteran cast, and the rich history that comes along with them. I am in love with GH again. Wow!

As awesome as he was in his scenes with Anna (and he WAS … they BOTH were), what I was giggling about was how he sang like a CANARY to Sam and Patrick! Kudos to Carlivati for continuing to propel the story forward. I feared, when we saw the Fluke double-switch, that he was just going to slowly drag this storyline out even further … but when Faison told Sam that Jason was alive … that it was VICTOR that set up the car accident … and that Patrick knew about Jason being at Crichton-Clark …. GREAT STUFF!

Awesome Episode. Wow!!! 🙂

I know one thing, if they ever pull a mask off of Ryan Peavey it won’t be Clark Gable!

I think there’s more than one Fluke in town… maybe more than 2!

and where is our Real Luke?

also, I think the fluke left at the Q’s is Ashton… all that drinking!

all these multiples of Fluke remind me of the end of the Thomas Crown Affair movie with Pierce Brosnan… all those bowler hats! Which one is the real one?!

I was thinking the same thing the other day when I heard the song, Sinnerman. If only the writing in GH was as good as in that movie.

I so want to believe that Faison and Liesl are destined

and yes, that’s more for Liesl… as she’s recurring and inclusive

it’s layer plus that Kathleen Gati reels

she deserves to be intimate and share acting real

——–
audience bowled over / with

Franco : Nina : and baby

I couldn’t stop reeling

what a cohesive knit… this dreamed family of Nina’s projects

it was bond at first sight!

Roger feeding the baby… the tenderness
Nina… smitten watching Franco and baby bond

????

where to go from here

of course, I want that Ava, Morgan, and their child unite

when it’s this GOOD ?!?!

I would never pretend that Ava shouldn’t have hers

it just smarts that every one in Port Charles knows .. and Ava herself… tells the higher than thou Silas… that she did in fact kill Connie

???? YIKES!

oye… pull

Sonny should get his just deserts
and Ava

I don’t know… the intrigue that Maura West pulls … doesnt follow

this is a big story… for so many on the canvas that orbit

sans Sonny, Carly, Michael, and Kiki

let’s move on and find a way for the rest to pull

inasmuch as it’s a show for Finola Hughes.. to drive….

I’m sure this is another ethic / motive / conscionable drive that the audience will whet… and demand justice

I hope the dyamic betwixt Anna and Duke push and pull the actors parlaying their skill and mindset superlative… I love Finola and Ian.

there you have it

baby +

Ava and Morgan
Nina and Franco

Anna and Duke

Leisl and her feeling

GH smarts and leaves me bereft yet not slumbering… it’s drive

I have to tell you

damn it

there he goes again… Nicholas grandstanding his virtue and using Spencer as an excuse… my son is learning the value of honesty

puhlease… give me a break

is this the downfall and demoted to recurring… because the GH production devalues the history of … and doesn’t believe… that the actor… Britta… isn’t worth a contract?

she was smoking HOT in that red dress… and as posted before… she has so many elements and character all over Port Charles… that she would not deliver side by side.. with the hired big wigs… that demote to recurring and stars less.. because of budget constraints

Kelly Thiebaud is HOT deserving and as a newbie has thrived and generated demonstrated she’s echelone her being a big part of Port Charles

Oh, Patrick…how I see what you see!!!! Who, in the name of the sacred holy soaps, does Nicolas think he is with that sainted disposition of his? He must have known Willy Shakespeare in another life …methinks HENRY IV was based on Nicolas Cassadine. And, why does he run whining like a spoiled schoolboy to Liz each and every time? I do believe he can take life lessons from his 9-year old son…..later

Hi Patrick!

I agree…I LOVED Nina and Franco and baby makes three! Each one…Nina and Franco…want so desperately to love and be loved…to be understood and accepted…they’re both sides of a coin together. Franco, or this incarnation of Franco (not Franco 1) is the saner of the two. He’d be a great dad. Nina too would obviously be full of love but she’s just too on the brink of madness to be trusted. Ava? It’s a shame that to reunite Ava and either Morgan and Sonny with their baby we have to lose the Nina/Franco/baby dynamic.

I, too, love Anna and Duke. Either way, it looks like they’ll be giving Ian more of a storyline…or I’m hoping that ‘s where they’re going and it’s not just some plan to take over Sonny’s business that falls flat. Either way, I want more Duke on my screen.

See Nicolas differently than you do. Though I LOVE Britt and I love the two of them together…it really was a big risk to have Spencer go missing and not find him right away…and to let Nicolas suffer not knowing what or where his son was. I totally get where he’s coming from. As precocious and intelligent as Spencer is…he’s a baby. Britt has to be the adult and can’t be in cahoots with him when it could possibly endanger him. There was a time where she didn’t even know where he was…and she STILL didn’t tell Nicolas or contact the police. I would have liked her to stay on contract and have them remain a couple. But I can’t say I fault Nic…I did read somewhere she may be going to The Bold and Beautiful…she denied it. But when did a denial every mean it’s not true…We shall see….

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”

Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.

Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.

Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.

Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.

The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)

According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”

Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.

Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.

In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.

Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
