General Hospital Fan Club Weekend 2016 Photo Gallery!
It’s hard to believe its been one week since GHFCW 2016 has come and gone, but the fans who attended the events surrounding the weekend and got the opportunity to meeting their favorite Port Charles mobsters, doctors, nurses, bad boys, and good girls were left with memories they will cherish for a lifetime.
The General Hospital Fan Club Main Event on Saturday July 30th featured one of the most tremendous cast turnouts in the history of the event including the presence of Roger Howarth (Franco) and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis). After the introductions, instead of the usual Q&A portion of the full cast event, this time the GHFC chose to go with a different theme, whereby each cast member one by one informed the audience what their least favorite job, or the most usual job they had in their lifetime, before becoming a known actor on the soaps. Kin Shriner (Scott) presided over the main event with his own inimitable style! GH executive producer, Frank Valentini was also on hand to thank the crowd for their continued support of their favorite soap.

There were plenty other event for fans to get their dose of GH actors and fandom over the four day event-hopping including: Vinessa Antoine (Jordan) and Donnell Turner’s (Curtis) dance party, Tyler Christopher (Nikolas) and Rebecca Budig’s (Hayden) fan event, the GH Country Western Party, Maura West (Ava) and Kin Shriner teaming up for their own soiree,’ as did the fantastic twosome of Michael Easton (Finn) and Roger Howarth. These two gents had one of the most highly attended gatherings of the weekend. Kelly Monaco (Sam) also had quite the fun chat with her adoring fans at her event, as did Laura Wright (Carly) and Michelle Stafford (Nina) when they teamed up to give the GH fan faithful a glimpse of behind the scenes of Carly and Nina!
A special hats off and thank you must go to GHFC president Debbie Morris and her team, who help be the conduit between the legions of loyal and passionate GH fans and the actors they love from the ABC daytime drama series.
Now below check out some of the stars and some of the memorable images from GHFCW 2016 in our special photo gallery complete with our captions. Then let us know in the comment section below, what was your favorite photo. And if you attended the weekend, what was your favorite part of it? Thank you for the beautiful gallery. It was such a treat to spend time with all my favorites and this gallery will keep the memories alive. You and I chatted on Sunday afternoon and I want to thank you for being so gracious taking the time to talk. I appreciate you acknowledging Debbie Morris and her crew. They’re the best and work so hard so we can all have a great time.
I want more of Jeffrey Vincent Parise!!! A lot more ! He is platinum !
I want more Michael Easton and Roger Howarth !!!!
Carly/Laura– her natural hair is awesome, absolutely awesome..
The natural curls, the style make her look 15 years younger!
Burn that horrible wig they put over your beautiful, Laura..
I am allergic to Sam… She is like fingernails across a chalkboard..(just mentioning)
I want mobsters !! not just 2 guys bickering, I want real crime lords from the 90’s, Guza’s men, the mobster cast back..
I love Cassadines and can only hope J&S can at the least not mush Valentine up with all kissy huggy stuff .
I like Scott and Franco but, need to throw Heather in..
The cast of GH are all gorgeous !! Loved the photos!
Pretty much, all are my favorites with some exceptions, but all are looking really good!
I agree with you 100% about Sam. She has always irked me. I can only stomach her in small doses. As a huge forever fan of Y&R and ATWT, it is so wonderful to see Maura West and Michelle Stafford on the same soap. GH certainly knew what they were doing when they snatched up these two gems. And of course we cannot forget the wonderful and delicious Billy Miller, who will always and forever be Billy Abbott in my heart!!!!
Your allergy to Sam has traveled to me. The monotone and her lack luster private investigator skills annoy me. I’ve never been a fan of the character and I find the chemistry between Sam and Jason null and void. He’s just as boring as she is..
More JVP–yes, yes! I, too, love Laura’s natural curls.
I thoroughly enjoy each and every GHFCW. I’m sure it is much harder to put on than I can imagine, and I thank Debbie Morris, her team, Frank V. and his team.
The only thing I would change at the main luncheon is to announce the actors earlier. We are there for hours before the show really gets going. A hour & half isn’t that much time for autographs. Also, I miss the Past Cast Event. Many of us are longtime fans and love seeing our older characters. They seem to like coming too.
I agree and I hear the same thing from fans every year. Why does it start so late? It makes a mad rush for people to try and get autographs in such a short period of time.
I too miss the Past Cast Event. Maybe next year for the 55th Anniversary
The Roger and Michael Event was by far the highlight of my week!!!
Hi Demikovskia. Do you know if anyone who has a tape of Michael and roger event and gh luncheon cast intros? I sure woul love to purchase them. Thanks!
Wow thank you!!!
I love the picture of Nancy and William! I sure miss Julexis on the show together happy!!
Kelly Monaco and Emme Rylan are some of my faves as well 🙂
Boo Michael! You missed one of my faves – even though there are photos from her event. Where is the lovely Brytni Sarpy?
Not cool!!!
Amen Caitie.
I’m really disappointed that you did not include a photo of Brytni Sarpy in your gallery as I know she participated in an event with Robert Palmer Watkins and Haley Erin, which I happened to see on twitter. Contrary to popular belief, there are some of us out here who like her and Valerie, despite the rocky start. That the young woman herself has dealt graciously with slights to her abilities (and in some sad instances, outright racism for her personally), makes me admire her good hearted nature and willingness to tough it out in the face of the criticism her character gets as a result of poorly written, plot point story she had to deal with when first brought on to the canvas.
Amen Beth CP.
Thank you for posting the photo of Maura West with the Michael Park ‘Lights of Broadway’ card I presented to her – she wept when she received it as it is a rare card and one she had hoped to see but had no expectation of receiving. I was also able to present Michael Easton with a copy of the card for Renee Elise Goldsberry. It was great seeing you, and I look forward to next year’s events!
These soap events receive terrible advance publicity. I never hear about any of them (if at all) until after the event.
It was the first time I attended GHFCW (I’m from Sweden so it’s quite a long trip) But I have to say it Wasn’t the last time,it was the coolest thing I’ve EVER done, and so much fun!! LOVED every moment of it! But if I’m going to choose one part or moment, I’m choosing meeting Laura Wright, she’s My favorite by far and meeting her was just AMAZING!!
Disappointed not to see ONE picture of Brytni Sarpy through the course of the entire gallery. Brytni deserves many kudos for maintaining such a positive, upbeat attitude through some rather “grim” storytelling for her character. She is a consummate professional and a beautiful voice for #GH. Such a shame to overlook her talent. #JUSTNOTCOOL.
Thanks for sharing!
Hi GH fans. Does anyone have a copy of Michael and Roger’s event And gh luncheon cast intros and questions? I would love to have one. Thanks so much!

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
