Order in the court! The action for the week of November 25th on General Hospital will feature the highly-anticipated legal battle between Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), with Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos) father, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) as Ava’s attorney. In the just released ABC promo for this week, Ric is taken a bit off-guard when his half-brother, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) shows up in the courtroom in support of his daughter, Kristina.

Once on the witness stand, Kristina says, “I’m ready to talk about what Ava did to me.” As viewers know, Kristina blames Ava for the death of her baby following the confrontation in Ava’s hotel room at the Metro Court Hotel, when Kristina crashed through the hotel window and landed in the pool. For months, Kristina has wanted revenge on Ava. Will she finally get it, or will she be in for a rude-awakening with the very clever, Ric Lansing, ready to take her testimony down?

In the video teaser, Ric comes at Kristina on the stand and says, “Why are you lying?” That moment stuns Kristina while Ava looks on. Elsewhere in Port Charles, Lulu (Alexa Havins) is MIA! After waking up from a coma for the last four years and trying to stay one step ahead of Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), no one can locate her. Might James (Gary James Fuller) come upon Lulu on the grounds of the Quartermaines? Meanwhile, Michael (Chad Duell) hears damning evidence against Drew (Cameron Mathison)! What will he do with the information?

Ava will win. Ric will destroy Kristina on the stand. And it will be delicious.

So glad I am not the only one waiting for this!
Yet I wouldn’t want it if it was still Lexi playing the role.. I had more sympathy for her version of Kristina.

I hope so, Scott!

With all due respect, I hope Lulu’s homecoming is more exciting than Lucky’s. For weeks, we had to watch a poker game and now that he is back, we get endless scenes about him wanting to leave Port Charles. It’s time to grow up and realize you are a man with children who need you and stop trying to find the next big thrill.

I am still waiting for Jagger’s killer storyline to have some closure (or is it already finished). I’d love to know who sent Ava messages MONTHS ago and who bought Windemere. The soap is in bad need of some fun love stories. It has been sadness and grief for months. Let’s have a love story for Ava, Alexis, Anna and TRACY!!!!

Well, now that Lulu has woken up maybe Lucky can wake up. He’s as dull as dishwasher and as somnolent as Perry Como on tranquilizers. All he’s done since returning to PC is cry, throw a toddler tantrum and whine on and on about wanting to leave. He’s a selfish bastard. And I used to love JJ’s Lucky. What a disappointment his return has been.

Couldn’t agree with you more, Harry. Jonathan Jackson’s return has been a total bust so far. He looks bored and really like he’s just collecting a paycheck. It’s like they just wanted to get him back on the show to say “Look who’s back!” without bothering to take the time to write a decent story for his return. I was so happy when I heard that JJ was coming back. But it’s been nothing but a huge letdown, like a lot of the show these days, I’m sorry to say.

Interested in your take on ranking all the returning characters this year…

For me, by far the best has been Ric. He quickly reconnected with most of his contacts and was effectively integrated into story. It helps that Rick Hearst seems to be enjoying revisiting the role.

Second would be Lucas. I was skeptical of Van at first, but he was heavily played in his first few weeks on air reminding viewers the importance of this legacy character.

Somewhere in the middle are Holly, Brad and the brief return of Steven Lars.

Jason’s return was flat for the first few months but the writers finally seem to know how to use him.

Too soon to judge Lulu – but there’s hope after a few days.

By far the least effective return is Lucky. The endless poker games, unwashed appearance and constant wavering on leaving town make the character quite unlikable. He’s like Luke – without the charm.

Anyone can chime in…

Lucky’s return is dooooo boring! Yhe whining and disheveled look is so 60’s! Writers need a review of GH history! Lulu walking out after a 5 year coma???? Ridiculous!!!!

I’d rank the return of Lucas at #1. I knew Van Hansis was gonna do a great job and he hasn’t disappointed. To me, he slid into the role perfectly to where it almost seems like he’s been playing Lucas all along. They threw him into some meaty scenes right off the bat, and he’s fit right in.

I would have Emma Samms return as Holly at #2. I really enjoyed the story with Holly, Anna, and Jason thwarting Sidwell at the casino, and trying to bring Lucky home. It was kind of a throwback story to days gone by with the adventure, a little humor and camp, some good drama. The whole Sasha as Holly’s daughter twist, and then Robert and Holly skipping town the way they did after Robert just found out he had a daughter, I didn’t care for at all. But overall, I think they used Emma pretty well this time around. I particularly enjoyed her scenes with Maurice Benard.

Ric’s return has been pretty good so far. Always a fan of Rick Hearst. Ric and Ava together has some potential. I just can’t believe we really haven’t seen any Sonny/Ric scenes yet.

Steve Burton’s return was very lackluster for the first few months, but they’ve used him better recently.

I can take or leave Brad. It was nice to see Scott Reeves again, but Steven Lars was barely a blip on the screen. And the story they concocted to get Heather out of town was pretty hard to believe.

I’ve also enjoyed Rena Sofer’s return as Lois, forgot to mention her. Even though they haven’t had much for Lois to do, besides being a busy body at the Quartermaines.

Hey Steve. I totally concur with your summations of the recent returns. I had high expectations for Lucky’s return and was disappointed by his dreary and depressing return. I had no expectations for Ric’s and Lucas’s return, either positively or negatively, and was delightfully surprised by both of their returns. Ric seamlessly stepped in where he left off navigating between being a dutiful father and a rightfully vengeful sibling. He’s so good. And the Lucas recast has also been seamless incorporating all the familial emotion and history into his compelling performance. It’s as if he had been playing Lucas since the character’s inception.

I can see Kristina referring to the baby as Adela on the witness stand. Under cross examination, Ric produces documentation that the baby’s name was Irene – thus questioning Kristina’s ability to determine the truth.

Also,, any of her family can attest to the fact that it was her Grandmother’s name and that’s why she uses that name, rather than Irene, the baby’s father’s grandmother’s name, whom no one even knew

Steve and Violet, I predict Kristina will indeed call Irene” Adele” which will turn Molly into a hostile witness for the prosecution. She just can’t help herself.

That’s not the point Violet. The surrogate doesn’t get to name the baby. By calling her Adela, Kristina will have to reveal in court that she was planning to keep the baby which will turn the jury against her.

Not to mention Adele is Molly’s grandmother

Who is the actress representing the prosecution on today’s episode

Who is the actress playing the prosecutor on today’s episode?

I think it is Nazneen Contractor but cannot find anywhere posting who the actress is. Side note Nazneen’s real life husband is Carlo Rita (Sidwell in GH.)

Correction. The actor playing Sidwell who is married to Nazneen Contractor is Carlo Rota (auto correct very frustrating). However I still cannot find any confirmation who is playing the prosecutor in the Ava vs Kristina trial; but my gut is certain she is Nazneen Contractor.

I imagine Ava will win, God Forbid they put her-hignass in jail. We know she didn’t push Krissy but she’s sure done enough other things, including messing with Sonny’s meds and why hasn’t he done anything about that?

Looks like Cody helps Lulu, how interesting is that?

I already love Lulu and the fact that she has the guts to do whatever it takes to get away from Cyrus , bodes well with me. She’s still the smart cookie, she’s always been and not just laying in that bed, waiting for God knows what but where the hell is Laura?

Kristina is lying. She’s an insufferable little twit who should never have gone to Ava’s room to begin with. On another note, why is creepy Uncle Cyrus at Lulu’s bedside 24/7 while Laura seems to have vanished? I suspect Cody is going to be the one who picks Lulu up.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

Photo: JPI

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

Published

By

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
