GENERAL HOSPITAL: Robert Returns To Warn Laura, Liz and Hayden On A Collision Course!

Courtesy/ABC

Friday’s episode of General Hospital brought some major developments in key storylines.  First, how nice it was so see Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) back reprising his role of Robert Scorpio!  And how much nicer still that he came back to Port Charles, and shared scenes with his longtime friend, Laura (Genie Francis)!

However, Scorpio comes back to give Laura a message from Luke, who Robert says he heard from thus assuring Laura that her ex is alive.  Laura tells Robert about the skeleton Lulu (Emme Rylan) found on Cassadine Island, which had some of Luke’s belongings on it.  She then tells him that Luke needs to reach out to Lulu!  Then the conversation turns to the real purpose of Robert’s in-person visit.  Luke wants to warn Laura that Valentin Cassasdine (James Patrick Stuart) is not done with seeking revenge, even though he is supposedly locked-up in Greece. Laura admits that Valentin went after Spencer (Nicolas Bechtel) as he is the one heir standing in his way of the Cassadine Fortune.  Robert tells her to increase security around Spencer.  She then decides she will send Spencer to boarding school.  Then, Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) sents a text to Laura asking her for another chance, after their night together and Laura finding  the paper he was writing about her, which caused Laura to make a quick exit.

Later when Kevin shows up at Wyndemere to see Laura, he sees her bags are packed. She reveals she is leaving to take Spencer to boarding school.  But she will return after Spencer is situated.  Kevin wants Laura to promise that she will give him another chance.  She refuses to commit to that.  All of this to say, this will mark Genie Francis’ summer exit as she will be off-screen till the end of September, while taking her hiatus from the series.  Looks like when Laura returns we will see if she and Kevin stand a chance at a long romance, or not.

Meanwhile, diamonds aren’t always a girls best friend!  In this instance, they could be downright deadly!  Hayden’s (Rebecca Budig) conniving mother Naomi (Robin Riker), wants the two of them to get out of Port Charles ASAP.  In the middle of this discussion, Naomi gets a phone call and privately takes it.  It’s Heather Webber (Robin Mattson) on the other end from prison, demanding her hush money payment from Naomi that she has not received for three months.  Naomi needs an extension, but Heather has something big on her and will spill the beans if no payment is forthcoming.

Franco (Roger Howarth) and Liz (Rebecca Herbst) are both in their own ways, exciting for their date, but Franco is short on cash.  He visits his mother in prison to ask for some moolah, and she reveals her cash flow has been interuppted thanks to Naomi! Franco says he will get the money for her in an effort to find out what Heather is up to.  Then Heather slips out a connection between Naomi’s past, Jeff Webber, and “the brat”.

Meanwhile, Hayden has run into Ava (Maura West).  And it was not good news for Hayden!  Ava admits that Elizabeth has her diamonds and is planning on turning into the feds.  Just then, Elizabeth calls Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) to let her know she has evidence to use against Hayden!

In the best scene of the episode:  Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina) gave an emotional turn with Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) as they commiserate over their love lives, since Parker (Ashley Jones) informed Kristina she is returning to her wife, and Alexis is still reeling from her messed-up relationship with Julian (William deVry) .

Now, watch a preview of the catfight and bitchslap between Hayden and Liz on Monday’s episode below!  Then weigh-in:  What will Hayden and Liz do when they find out what looks to be the truth …  that they are sisters?  What did you think of Robert coming to warn Laura?  Do you hope Genie is back on the canvas soon? Did you enjoy the Kristina and Alexis scene? Share your thoughts on Friday’s episode in the comment section below!

Is there any information about Tyler Christopher
Coming back as Nik?

I seem to remember reading on another site that he was due to be back on the GH set at the end of August, which if true, would mean we should see him back on screen towards the end of September.

I wish Robert and Laura scene had been longer, its been over 30 yrs since they shared scenes and they barely got 2 mins, disgrace..Robert Scorpio is always a great sight for sore eyes..He’s as handsome and always..I think Frank/Nathan need to signed Tristan and not let him leave, Robert Scorpio can filled the void left by Luke and he also can bring the WSB back and recruit some of the young guys as agents Curtis, Dante, Nathan, etc, etc,..So much can be done if Robert stick around. Sign him Frank!!

I would love to see Robert back in Port Charles permanently, but I don’t think Tristan wants to sign a contract. He seems happy being able to float back and forth between GH and Y&R, and I’m glad ABC and CBS, and whomever else is involved, have a working agreement that allows him to do that. I’ll take Robert popping in every now and then over not seeing him at all.

Dan…It will be a bit weird to see Robert on GH the same day he is on Y&R. But nothing I can’t get used to.

Curtis with the WSB is a great idea!

“Laura, Laura, Laura, it’s been too long, my dear.” Indeed and right back at you Scorpio, the Cary Grant of daytime.
I must have replayed that aforementioned scene 10 times.

Laura…Great ideas. Also add in Anna to the WSB idea when she comes back from summer vacation.

Awwww 🙁
the vid took me to Hulu and wanted me to sign up to get a free whatever/week, so I didn’t see the vid..
I don’t like Hulu and didn’t want to mess with it so I skipped it..

But- it read like it will be inester and hopefully will give some drama ..
I hope Liz gets the slap
and— I want more Heather!!
I like Heather and Franco scenes!

Looking forward to Tyler/Nikolas return.. hope he gets the diamonds back..
I believe he is being cared for by that woman on the Island that brought the medical supplies..
So, yah Nikolas is with her…and Lulu clue is her addy, so they are connected..

I had the same experience and reaction regarding Hulu. Disappointing…

Su..I also love Heather and Franco scenes. Now there is chemistry! But not so much for Franco and Liz. Still like him with Nina. Hope they make up but don”t get too “normalized.” Think the idea of Nik and that woman makes sense. Wonder when Valentin breaks out of maximum security. Need his villanous presence back, especially since Robert now aware of him. Would also be fun if Heather gets a hankering for a BLT and takes a little stroll out of prison for a while.

Well, “the brat” story is so painfully obvious. I am pretty confident that I was right. Hayden is the brat and she’s Liz’s full or half sister.
I just don’t know how Heather fits into all of this. I have nothing to go on to even form an opinion….you all do, I’m sure….as you know the history between Heather and the Webers. What’s the premise? Heather helped Naomi get rid of Liz? Is Liz “the brat”?
Now, why does a grown man depend on Mommy for money? This is so outrageous ….why are TPTB doing this to Franco? Better yet, Roger? Please make him an adult, already!!!!!…..with a real job. And, get rid of the Robin Hood —King Arthur hair-do. Seriously, what’s up with that?
I like how the Alexis-Kristina -mother-daughter “turmoil” is unfolding. The reality resonates with many; making me pay attention. This is how I always hoped to see Alexis…..in her daughters’s faces…..Because that’s what mothers do.
I always enjoy a dose of Hayden and Liz. They make their scenes together come alive. Love, love, love these two. And, sooner than later, they will become, not only sisters, but also, best friends.
Scorpio interests me…I am glad to see Tristan….But, he will interest me even more if what I predicted would become a reality. That is, unite with Luke and go a’hunting for one godless degenerate–Valentin; while finding Nik, at the same time.
Laura going off to some unknown part of France? Wherever?! Idiotic!! …for Spencer’s safety? Oh, plaaaeeeze!!!!
Where is she taking him? To the Bastille?? Yeah! That should keep him secure.
Where do these writers get these ideas? Golly gee, if it were I? I’d want to keep my child/grandchild as close to my bosom as possible. Sacrebleu!!
Oh, BTW….Laura, lighten up. Kevin cares….lend him an ear!!

Heather got pregnant by Jeff Webber who refused to divorce his first wife Monica …Heather gave birth to their son Steven Lars but told Jeff the child was stillborn and she sold the baby for $10,000 with the help of her landlady while living in New York where Heather left to become a model…the baby was sold to Peter and Diana Taylor whom Heather once worked for as a nanny…Diana’s daughter Martha died making Peter and Diana childless so they adopted the child…too much story to continue so im keeping it brief…Heather returned to PC and she did marry Jeff…well, to keep it short..Peter died of a heart attack…Diana and nurse Anne Logan were both interested in Jeff who had unbalanced Heather committed to a mental hospital after she tried to drug Diana with lsd that heather mistakenly had taken herself…Jeff finds out the Taylors child was his son…Diana is murdered and Anne was framed for it…Heather was a suspect but her mom Alice Grant killed Diana believing Diana was going to shoot Heather…Jeff leaves town and obviously had a daughter Liz and later Sarah…it looks now he had an affair off screen with Hayden’s mom and she became pregnant with Hayden son our guesses there are correct…thats it in a nutshell…i might have some errors…you probably would get better detail of this story history by just googling Heather Webber and Jeff Webber but this is how i recall it!!!

correction: not Hayden son meant Hayden so our….

Wow!! Thank you, Jimmy. Finally….I Can See!!!! LOL.
It feels good having guessed right without a clue for once. I know I said this before…..but, even before all the speculation a mystery started, I knew Naomi was Liz’s mother. When Hayden and Liz said, “Mother” in unison; I just knew. At the time my comment was lame, at best, since I was just throwing ideas out there…. But, soon enough, most picked up on it.
You were right there behind me, ,Jimmy….we probably wrote the same thing at the same time, my friend….As I keep saying, Jimmy, we read each other’s minds….mental telepathy. HaHa.
Do you still think, as I do, that Kiki is Nina’s. Ok. Ok, everyone!!!! LOL.

I don’t think Naomi is Liz’s mother…I think Jeff Weber is Hayden’s father. Therefore, Mr. Ponzi, Ratmond Berlin, isn’t.

Jimh: I was a kid at the time but I have re-watched a lot of it on youtube. Admittedly, most of what I see is vintage LnL stuff. Can you help me fill in some of the Jeff Webber pieces please? Who was the little boy named P.J.? Is he actually Steven Lars? Did the P.J. stand for Peter, Jr.? There is a scene where Leslie asks LnL to come babysit P.J. after Diana’s murder. Then later there is another scene where LnL and many other characters go over to Leslie’s house to tell Jeff and P.J. goodbye when they leave town for good.

Jimh, excellent analysis and synopsis, Friend!

I saw your post after I wrote a reply to Celia, in which I also mentioned Heather’s connection to Diana Taylor. Your memory of those storylines involving Heather and Diana mirror mine. And it’s so refreshing to see someone other than me writing about storylines from the 70s! Of course, I know you and I have discussed our mutual admiration for Valerie Starrett, the original Diana Taylor.

Anyway, your synopsis presented all the highlights. I will just add the following for our fellow friends here who might not have been watching back then (or might not have even been alive):
(1) When Heather first met Diana and ingratiated herself into Diana’s life, Diana was indeed played by Valerie Starrett, and Heather was played by Georganne LaPierre (Cher’s half-sister).
(2) When Heather tried to drug Diana with LSD-lased iced tea, Diana was played by Brooke Bundy, and Heather was played by Mary O’Brien.
(3) When Heather tried to kill Diana (even though, as Jimh says, her mother actually did the deed), Diana was played by Brooke Bundy, and Heather was played by Robin Mattson.

Jimh, I know you know this, but for some others, so we’ve had 2 different actresses playing Diana Taylor, 3 different actresses playing Heather, AND our beloved Monica Quartermaine wasn’t always played by Leslie Charleson. The role was originated by Patsy Rahn. But back then Rick Webber was played by Michael Gregory before Chris Robinson took over the role.

And that concludes today’s recollections of this oldtimer (who unabashedly loved the show during the 70s)!

@Marie: You are correct in assuming that P.J. is Steven Lars, and the Taylors named him P.J. for Peter Junior.

Thanks so much, Jimh! I could go on and on about my fandom of Valerie Starrett — and I believe I have done so on these pages! 🙂 I have to say I really like your idea of Starrett playing Diana when Diana was pursing Jeff Webber (I wish I could have seen that, no slight to Brooke Bundy), and linking that to Jesse Brewer’s pursuit of Phil Brewer.

Although Diana, as played by Starrett, was the good-girl heroine, she had plenty of her own desperate, neurotic moments:
(1) her attempt to induce labor a couple of months early so it would appear that Peter was the baby’s father, and not Phil Brewer who had raped her (a big secret);
(2) her feeling that she, as a nurse, was a second-class citizen compared with Dr. Leslie Webber who was working closely with Peter;
(3) her also feeling threatened by one of Peter’s psychiatric patients, Pat Lambert, who was indeed after Peter — I remember Diana slapping Pat; and
(4) her struggle to find a baby, which led to Heather’s baby-selling scheme.

And, yet again, I couldn’t help myself in droning on and on about my favorite daytime actress of all time. Jimh, and maybe others, perhaps you remember some of these great storylines, too.

Take care, Friend!

Hello again, Jimh! I’m glad that what I wrote might have sparked some memories for you. I also fondly remember Lucille Wall as Lucille Marsh. She was quite the character. There were so many wonderful characters and storylines in the early and mid-70s when the hospital was still at the forefront. It’s been so nice to reminisce (again) with you about them.

More importantly, I hope you are feeling better. My thoughts are with you, Friend!

PS: Jackie Courtney was also spectacular in beauty and in acting! I remember watching other soaps long ago as well, although my memories are not as sharp on those. Thanks again!

Isn’t Sarah older than Liz?

Wow! Valerie Starrett… those were the days! Like Jacquie Courtney’s Alice on Another World, Valerie infused Diana with a mix of fragility and ferociousness. And I LOVED Laura Campbell as Pat Lambert. I remember she was an artist hired by General Hospital at Peter Taylor’s recommendation to paint murals in the children’s ward. She was a fascinating actress and went toe-to-toe with Valerie Starrett beautifully (after Diana’s involvement with Augusta McLeod, she was better equipped to handle Pat). I think we are one of the few who watched the show during this period. Why Valerie was replaced with the blonde and bland Brooke Bundy always escaped me…

yep., still think Kiki and Nina are daughter and mommy unless Nelle is-right now i dont trust Nelle-i wonder what she is hiding?

LOL, Jimmy. Whoever Nina’s offspring is, she/he is alive. Sooner or later the mystery will be solved. Pipe dream? Maybe, but I like that dream.
I am pretty sure you read my posts (lol), so, you know I suspected Nelle from day one. Perhaps it’s because Nell is spelled ‘Nelle’? LOL…Even my iPad complains because whenever I type ‘Nelle’, the word is underlined in red, but ‘Nell’ is not.

I dont think Nina will adopt a kid based on past history. She will be at her lowest, maybe even suicidal and her daughter, Kiki or whomever, will appear and save Nina’s life.

James and Jimmy, you two ought to collaborate on a book about GH history. How on earth do you know all this? What amazing memory retention you both have. Incidentally, when I was a kid and heard Heather going on and on about her son, I heard her saying, “Steve and Lars.” I thought she had two sons and did not know at the time that it was one kid named Steven Lars.
It’s one of those misunderstood lyrics kind of thing.

Where to start? Roger is being wasted as Franco. Like you said, borrowing money off mommy is silly! I like Heather but if they are trying to clean up Franco for Liz, Heather is not a good family member to have floating around! Scotty as Franco’s dad is gold but they don’t have them in many scenes together! I always said screen gold would be Scotty and Franco sharing an apartment together. Liz should run as fast as she can! She will have her hands full with her sister Hayden!

I cannot wait for that, my Timmmy. Hayden and Miss Lizzie in complete shock of finding out they’re sisters…..Awwwe-some!!!!
As ridiculous as it is, I like Scotty’s and Franco’s ‘banterish’ relationship. Scotty looks so much younger than Franco, albeit I know he is not.
I beg TPTB to clean Franco up; not just his persona, but also, his physical appearance. He looks more and more scraggly and non-descript. Is he supposedly the epitome of what a starving ‘artiste’ looks like?
I love Franco, but I want all of him….not this panting dreamer sniffing Liz’s skirts.

Lol. Scottie and Franco sharing an apartment. They should! They are both short on cash. That would be great!

Timmm, thanks for your reply! And Amen to your suggestion of bringing back the Hardys, Qs, etc.! Take care, Friend!

Well, Celia, you hit one out of the park, as usual (although I’m not here often enough to see all your at-bats)! Brilliant writing and analysis, Friend!

I can only offer up these views: As someone who used to watch GH regularly, long ago and far away, I am always thrilled by a return by Heather because: (1) Robin Mattson is a great actress; and (2) she is the sole link (along with son Steven Lars) to my favorite character, Diana Taylor (Heather sold her baby Steven Lars to Diana and Peter Taylor; the Taylors called him “P.J.” for Peter Junior.) I am also thrilled that Liz is still on the canvass, as Liz is the sole link to Audrey and Steve Hardy (Jeff Webber’s biological father), and I am further thrilled to learn that Hayden might also be Jeff Webber’s daughter.

It’s a gift when writers honor and validate a show’s rich history…

I do remember the days when Jeff Webber, Rick Webber, and sister Terri Arnett were all thriving on GH.

Thank you, my dear friend. You’re too kind.
As yourself, I love Heather. Hmmmm; a thought just came to me….I seem to be attracted to weirdos: Heather, Faison, Liesl, Nina….LOL. I like all of the above. What does that say about me?
But, Heather is a treat, for sure!! She seems to have perfected the crazed woman from ‘another planet’. Robin also was part of the AMC cast. I am sure you know that.
I remember (I was still at University) watching her cooky rendition of “Mirror Janet”. What a hoot. So, James, I eat-up every second she’s on air. ‘Nite, my friend.

James excellent posts and thanks for the additions to mine explaining more of the Heather/Taylor storyline that i left out…not well lately so i keep my posts short…wow, you made me travel back in time even more to a much better GH…i liked Brooke Bundy since she appeared on Days as Rebecca North where she was involved with baby drama before joining GH but Valerie Starret was so cool and beautiful as Diana they should have kept her…she could had an affair with the much younger Jeff just like Jesse had down decade earlier with Phil Brewer!!!

They need to keep the pedal to the metal. Dont just mention these names, lets see them. Bring on the Hardys and the Q’s and lets celebrate GH and dump some of these god awful newbies!

Thats another great post down memory lane, James and i loved it…back in the 70s i used to change channels during commercial breaks and watch Another World, GH and Guiding Light…mom was mostly into AW so it was hard to watch all three but AW was great back then…like i said before there were parallels between AW and GH both Jackie Courtney as Aws Alice and Valerie Starrett as GHs Diana were both fired and replaced…but some of the stuff you mentioned do seem familiar…i remember lots but there is lots ive forgotten some soaps i watched like Where The Heart Is and Return To Peyton Place i dont remember at all but i watched them!!!…i remeber seeing Cher’s sister as the original Heather and a few of the other things you mentioned do seem familiar now…one of my favorite GH characters was Lucille March…my late maternal grandma was named Lucille and born in March…she was a big GH watcher who passed away in 1970…i used to watch GH with her when at her house…i miss those days!!!

Hello Celia! You gave me a chuckle today, as I do remember AMC’s Janet from Another Planet! I like the crazy ones, too. There is no harm in being “attracted to weirdos” in the soap world! You’re in good company! Take care, Friend!

HaHaHa!! Good to know, James, that I am not the only one who appreciates the humor in said characters, my friend.

@Rebecca1,
You’re probably right, Rebecca. Weeks ago, I did say that Hayden and Liz were either full or half sisters. While I thought both ‘girls’ were borne of Naomi; could very well be that, as I said also weeks ago, Naomi stepped out on Raymond Berlin with Jeff.
For once, I take credit of being the first to post the ‘girls’ were sisters….followed closely by Jimh. LOL.

As a huge fan of GH in the eighties, I am thrilled anytime I see any of the “vets” together. I hope his stay isn’t to brief. It was nice seeing him with Ms Francis, even if it was only for that brief scene. Just hearing that wonderful Australian accent makes me all warm and woozy inside. I got double douses oof Tristan, since he was also back on Y&R with Jill and Cane as well. Two Aussie accents for the price of one. LOVE IT!!

Liz and Hayden are sisters-Haydens mom drugged Jeff and raped him resulting in Hayden…Liz will be found unconcious and the diamonds missing-one diamond will be found on Franco and Liz will suspect he knocked her out and stole the diamonds, especially when unemployed Franco comes into money-the money is from Heather’s secret stash but Francoweenie cant tell her that..Kevin will be with Lucy when Laura returns just as Laura says she forgives Kevin…Kevin will help Laura search for Spenser who was kidnapped from boarding school and they suspect Valentin is responsible unaware it was his own father the thought dead Nik who had taken him because of the Valentin danger…Julian isnt Julian-he is an imposter set up by Valentin wearing a mask-kidding but you never know-lol…Julian wont be in police custody for long but becomes ill and reunites with Alexis who cant live without the man who tried to kill her…lizard man Finn saves Julian’s life and Alexis will continue to love and hate him-just like real life marriages-lol

This show could use Robert more often…enough said.

That sucks Genie is off canvas while Tristan is on

This show is a complete mess.

Ava just happens to have pills that look exactly like Morgan’s bi-polar meds so that he won’t notice the switch?

No one thinks it a bit odd that Avery’s nanny Deirdre has the kid at the library when it’s pitch dark in the middle of summer? Anyone with half a brain would know that means it is waaaaaaay past the kid’s bedtime.

Nicholas’ funeral is held off-camera and the writers make a point of mentioning that Lucky was there but nothing is said of Lesley being there for her grandson’s funeral?

Kevin asks Laura on a date immediately following her son’s funeral and she accepts — and then shows up in white. So much for mourning, I guess.

If the Feds investigated both Naomi and Rachel/Hayden as part of their investigation into the Raymond Berlin off-camera Ponzi scheme how did they not discover that Naomi has been paying Heather Webber large amounts of money every month for decades? Surely there was a paper trail. And even if they missed it, how does Heather explain the large amounts in her commissary fund each month so that the hospital isn’t suspicious?

And those are just the plot holes from this week’s episodes. Face it, GH: Jean and Shelly need to be replaced as headwriters.

Oh, Alan…thanks for putting ‘things’ in perspective. I did think of the outrageousness of the ‘incidents’ you bring to the fore….little Avery out at a late hour etc.
But, the most incredible and so far out of the realm of reality is Laura’s behavior. This is the second time the writers have made Laura look like a stooge….a sort-of detached mother. First was her lack of emotion the “first” time Nik died. Yeah, yeah, many balked at this….excusing her by saying she was keeping strong for Spencer……Or, that she was in a state of shock. But, the second time around she finds her inner pain and demonstrates it? Very weak storytelling.
Besides the fact that sex is so taken for granted and is something that sets me back a few centuries, I guess (lol), Laura should use some sense of priority here. Hmmmm. Let’s see. What should I do? Mourn my son or have a delicious spin between the sheets? Well, how does one even take pleasure in anything when YOUR SON JUST DIED??
Now, the day her son is paid homage for both his life and death, she decides to go on a date and have sex with someone on the first time around. What makes it so offensive to all mothers who have lost children is that not only was it on a first official date, but also on such day of morning. What’s the excuse?
Shame on the writers, I declare!! But, you just wait, Alan, there will be those who will pooh, pooh all over my statements, since Laura is the anointed one who can do no wrong.
A word of caution; this has nothing to do with Genie….only the character. Genie Francis is one of my favorite soap stars….love her…..sooooo…..

HA! St. Laura, your right! But posters understand, like C said, Genie is great, its not HER its these silly writers. There is not a mother alive, well maybe Farrah Abraham, that would date right after her kid died and have sex! So freakin lame!

You’re right on all points, Celia.
I do have to say that they are at least giving Laura some decent dialogue. A few weeks ago, she was poignant and realistic when she told Traci that she has used men to define her and as long she did this, she was unable to truly grow up. Laura said,”I discovered that as long as someone treats you like a child, you keep acting like a child.” The conversation between Traci and Laura was character driven, real and wise in its way. I am not sure who is writing the dialogue but for me, that has been the best part of GH as of late.

@Harry.
Very true, Harry. Laura should have continued in this vein, but, typically, the writers swerve by minimizing her sense of self.
Genie Francis is possibly the best talent on GH. She has honed her craft and owned every word in thar conversation with Tracy.
Nonetheless, a couple of days later, the writers decided for her to take two steps back.

Sigh. Ava and the pills. Must we endure more Manic Morgan scenes?

Yeah, Marie. What Allen said about the pill…..Ava must have a stockpile in her ‘Pharmacy’.
Why don’t TPTB just divide Morgan: half to Ava and half to Kiki. Ava still has the hots for him. Well, for all of ‘her’ men, actually. Alley. Purr.
I am so sick of Morgan and his bipolar issues. This is a real malady, with many who suffer from this disorder. But, TPTB have taken it so far, it is becoming a joke. It is not fair to represent all peoples with this medical issue to be presented as such.
Morgan is so fragile….as far as I am concerned, this goes beyond bipolar disorder. Some other mental issue will soon manifest itself. Yeah, writers: explore that!!
The storyline has lost its luster. It does not work anymore. Find a new girl for Morgan ( bring Britta back, LOL), and give Kiki to Dillon. Yeah, I like that.

I’m so tired of Morgan losing his s**t!
It’s been done and over done. How about something original like Morgan and Kiki decide, as two adults, that they simply aren’t compatible any longer and they wish one another well and move on.

Manic Morgan? I like it–should be the name of a punk rock group.

I hate to see Laura leave the canvas just as she was getting more story and more air time. Oh well, I guess it’s written in her contract that she gets this time off each year. I look forward to her return. I look forward to all of Tristan’s stories. I wish their scenes were longer and I wish they had had more of a warm reunion. Given the stories their characters brought to the canvas 35 years ago (the Ice Princess/Cassadines/Haunted Star), it would seem like they would have hugged longer and maybe spent some more time giving condolences regarding Nikolas’ death. These two spent time hiding out on the Haunted Star (then called the Titan) and they spent a few months hiding on Cassadine Island. They have history. It was an odd, short visit, but I was thrilled to see them share the screen regardless. On another note, a few weeks ago I loved the scenes between Laura and Tracy. I love how they are getting along nicely now. However, I’m not buying the “I was a little girl” lines written for Laura. After LnL’s first runaway in 1980, the entire year of 1981 was dedicated to Laura becoming a true, independent adult. She won Luke back by standing on her own and not depending on him. Her character eventually became a pro at being on the run and outsmarting those chasing her and her family. When she returned in the 90’s she was a fierce momma bear. She ran a campaign to save her community from an environmentally hazardous development. In the early 2000’s she ran Deception. There was nothing childish about those accomplishments. Last week when Kevin mentioned 1981 to her, she replied with: “I was kind of busy in 1981.” I was glad her character was allowed to assert that but it does contradict what was said a few weeks earlier that she was just a helpless little child. Feels like she is being written two steps forward, one step back, or vice versa. But I’m glad she’s being written for at all. She’s had more air time with these writers than the last few sets. For that I’m grateful.

You could have ONE whole episode where Laura and Robert reminisce. What a missed opportunity!

Yes!

Tristan was smooth baby!

Laura hasn’t been laid in years and you can tell by her school girl reaction to Kevin’s notes! First’ JELLY screwed this up by having them sleep together too soon! Secondly, too early to throw a wrench into their new relationship!

Roger Howarth should be embarrassed to cash his check! Complete garbage!

Sending Spencer away is stupid! Why would a mother who just “Buried” her son ship away her grandson so far away if he is in such huge danger? I guess Spencer will be off camera for a while and come back as a teen! Dumb!

That’s because they aged Josselyn ! Spencer is gone he will come back as a teenager but Liz’s kids will stay the same the nightmare goes on and on! Pleas give me one hour in the writing rooms just one hour and this crap would stop you have a fan base that lives soaps and yet you destroy them like they man nothing

I think they are aging Spencer because the kid who plays him is a powerhouse will unlimited offers and they know he isn’t staying around like Kim did all those years as Robin so they are shifting gears now!

Ok I hear you I agree but what are they doing about Jake??? You can’t age one and not the group and did Cameron fall in a hole? Can’t remember what year he was born ! Dam leave kids off the canvas send them to boarding school

So happy that my favorite actor on gh since long time ago is back Robert scorpio yes thank you for bringing him back hope hes going to stay wow so happy right now

Instead of shipping Spencer off to school , why not have him leave with Lucky and could keep him sade guard him .
Or is Hayden adopted yet Lizs sister or Naomi slept with Jeff , is a better story

Lucky is a dead beat dad, why would you have Spence with him?

Because at least it makes some story sense , relative and trained to keep people safe , rather then trust people you don’t know – but yes , he dad game is zero

Lucky is busy In Nashville taking care of both of his baby daughter and his wife who is suffering from postpartum depressing

And I wish Alexis’ recent behavior was the result being drugged by Ava and/or Julian or their henchman .
Also hoping Andre is in the killer.
Totally disgusted with Ava switching Morgan meds , I know receivers and blackmail all the time but somehow switching that seems worse

I hope Andre and Curtis are the co-killers and are both carted off to Pentonville forever!

Robert came all the way to town for this lame story? He didnt even get to see Anna this time !

and today we get the sparkling, charismatic, classically debonair Robert Scorpio stuck in a scene in which Dodo, er, I mean, Lulu, goes on and about her boring ole embryo. Even Robert looked like he wanted to jump out of his skin and go back Down Under.

Hahaha!!! He looked SO uncomfortable there!! Very awkward scenes! So sickkkk of LULU and her quest for a baby and now that damn embryo!! Even Dante is wishing she’d shut up! Oh and where has Rocco been?? Exactly.

Also, why is Naomi spending so much money to keep a secret? She surely doesn’t care what her ex-husband Raymond thibks , so all that money is so Hayden doesn’t know or Jeff Weber ? it doesn’t make sense , since it hasn’t sounded like she has been there for her daughter , almost ever , what work so hard to protect her feelings ?

They have to tie Rebecca Budig to see someone so poor Liz got stuck. It’s the only way folks may want her to stay. I hope Liz doesn’t let her near her kids or grams. Maybe we will get to see Audrey again. LIZ NEEDS REAL FAMILY NOW

Hayden is quick to always point out Liz’s kids have different fathers. I am not familiar with Liz’s history. I just know of Jason and Lucky being two of the fathers. Who is the other father?

Cameron’s father is Zander Smith. He has been dead for a long time. That’s all the ammo stupid Hayden has….This story sucks. As I said they needed to get a way to keep Rebecca Budig on the show so they choose to come up with this bad past history story .

I just want to say that none of these damn stories make any sense!!! So many loose ends and

Convoluted stories that lead to nowhere.

maybe romance with laura and robert. when genie francis returns

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Brook Lynn and Chase Have Their Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties

On General Hospital, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) both were treated to Bachelorette and Bachelor parties to shake off any of those pre-wedding jitters. At The Savoy, the ladies have a touching and fun time with Brook Lynn.

The bride-to-be gives a speech to thank everyone for coming, while Lois lets everyone know to try the signature cocktail the “Brooklynn Chaser”, which gets everybody eventually and mostly, drunk.

When Tracy (Jane Elliot) questions Lois (Rena Sofer) as to why there is no music for the party, Lois realizes she forgot, and somehow, who does she call to the rescue? Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)! Saving the day, he winds up playing some tunes and later gets on the dance floor to ‘shake it off’ with the gals.

Lois makes a speech as the mother of the bride, and shares how proud she is of the woman Brook Lynn has become. Wedding games begin, including one of “hot potato” with a wedding bouquet.

When it’s time for the “Silly Poses” section of the party, Spinelli has now morphed from DJ to staff photographer taking memorable photos of the ladies to remember the evening by.

The best part of the event, was when Brook Lynn tries to get her grandmother Tracy out on the dance floor, which, at first, she refuses. After several of the guests bust a move, a tipsy Tracy joins the dance party after Joss mentions that if her grandmother Bobbie was here, she would dance. Tracy says “she agrees” and begins to cut a rug on the floor, much to the delight of the other women.

In the final moments, a tipsy Joss and Kristina (Kate Mansi) have a confrontation about Sonny, and Joss lets Kristina in more on Sonny’s behavior, which looks to have clued in Kristina a bit more as to how something is way off about her dad.

Across town at the Hatchett Bar, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and the men with the exception of Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper), all attend Chase’s Bachelor Party where throwing hatchets into a dart board for supremacy is the order of the day. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Ned (Wally Kurth) get into some words over ELQ, while Dante makes a toast to his police partner, Chase.

Suddenly Dex (Evan Hofer) shows up. Chase thanks Dex for coming, but Dex gets some dirty looks from other cops on the force. Dante gives Chase his present, which is a signed baseball by the Boston Red Sox.

Ned (Wally Kurth) makes a speech that although no one is good enough for his daughter, Brook Lynn, Chase has come closer than anyone has, so welcome to the family. Running in at the end is Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), who just left Brook Lynn’s party, and she toasts her singing partner, Chase, and to the great man that he is.

Cameron Mathison Previews New Game Show ‘Beat The Bridge’ (Promo)

As previously reported, Cameron Mathison (Drew, General Hospital) will be seen doing double duty this summer when he premieres in June as the host of Game Show Network’s Beat The Bridge.

Now, while Cameron will be the host with the most, that doesn’t mean he will stop playing GH’s Drew.  In fact, Mathison taped the game show in 2023, so it will now air for the first time in 2024.

Taking to his Instagram this week, Cameron shared his enthusiasm and some new hosting snaps, sharing, “Our newest game show host reporting for duty😎 Head over to the Game Show Network YouTube channel for your first look at the show and don’t miss Beat The Bridge premiering this June! In Beat The Bridge, an enormous interactive bridge dares players to cross by stepping on the right answers to challenging trivia questions. As they play, each steps forward and puts money in their team’s bank, with bonus money for each successful crossing. Here’s the catch: the team gets to keep the money only if it can “beat the bridge” by returning one of its players back across before time expires.

Meanwhile, on GH, Drew and Nina (Cynthia Watros) recently had hate-sex. Do you think its a one-time deal? Where will Drew’s story take him next under new head writers, Patrick Mulcahey and Elizabeth Korte? Stay tuned.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Nina Confronts Ava for Sabotaging Her Relationship With Sonny and Signs the Divorce Papers

Looks like Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Ava (Maura West) are back to be each other’s sworn enemy number one. By the end of the Monday, April 22nd episode of General Hospital, the women know where they stand with each other after Nina goes in on Ava accusing her of wanting Sonny (Maurice Benard) all to herself, while her marriage has been on the rocks.

In story, at Nina’s office, Ava shows up to see Nina and says she is sorry about what happened with Sonny and that he reacted the way he did, acknowledging that is was over the top, even for Sonny. Ava says she’ll smooth things over, but Nina says she now understands how manipulative and transparent Ava really is.

Given their horrible history, Nina goes in on Ava and how she should never have trusted her. Nina wants to know how long has Ava had this agenda dating all the way back to telling Nina to turn Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) into the SEC. Ava says she never told her do to that, but Nina wants to know how long Ava has been playing her for a fool.

Ava says she moved in with Sonny to keep Avery safe and she wants to be on good terms with Avery’s father, Sonny. Nina thinks she likes being in Sonny’s inner circle. Ava tells Nina if she goes to him about her advising Nina to call the SEC on Carly and Drew, it won’t work.  Sonny still considers Nina a traitor and he will think she’s lying because she’s so desperate to win him back. Ava says if Nina would stop blaming everyone else that maybe Sonny would respect her.  Nina says “like he does you?” Ava says Sonny not only respects her, but he also counts on her.

From there, Ava launches into why she and Sonny understand each other, after all, Sonny is a powerful, turbulent, and sometimes violent man. She goes so far to say if Nina wanted someone to just sit by the fire with and play with their grandchildren, she’s got the wrong guy.  Ava then talks about Mike from Nixon Falls (Sonny with amnesia) and how Sonny hid the darkest parts of himself from Nina back then, whereas with Ava they are the same similar creatures, so he doesn’t have to hide anything.

Nina wants to know just what Ava wants with Sonny? What is her end game? Ava responds that they understand each other, in ways she can’t with Sonny. Nina tells Ava she can go ahead and have it all and signs Sonny’s divorce papers. Ava walks out with the documents, while Nina in tears at her desk, takes off her wedding rings and has her assistant come in so she can messenger the rings back to Sonny’s address.

The episode and these scenes featured great performances by Cynthia Watros and Maura West. You can check some of the scenes below.

Now, let us know, what is Ava’s next move? Is she going to become Mrs. Sonny Corinthos? Do you like Ava and Nina as enemies? Comment below.
