GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sam Confronts Liz About Her Feelings For "Jake"! Which Gal Do You Want To See Him Romantically Involved With?

On Thursday’s episode of General Hospital, an old feud was reignited of sorts, when Sam (Kelly Monaco) confronted Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) about if she was into and interest in the stranger “Jake” AKA Jason Morgan (Billy Miller)!
After citing how Elizabeth has had a miserable year in the romance department, first with AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan), then with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), and then with Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher), and citing Liz’s penchant for picking unsavory men, Sam asks Elizabeth how she feels about the mysterious “Jake” who she has allowed to move in with her and live under Liz’s roof?
Sam is not happy that she is on to the fact that she believes “Jake” is the one who wore the ski mask and held her at gunpoint! Little does Sam know … that “Jake” is her believed-to-be-dead husband Jason!
Elizabeth fires back at Sam and says, “You think that I am so desperate to have a man in my life that I would do anything? To which Sam replied, “The same way you did anything to hold on to Jason?” Ouch! Remember when GHers, Jason was trying to find the truth about Sam’s son who had been presumed dead and Elizabeth offered to help run a DNA test to prove whether Tea’s (Florencia Lozano) son was in fact Sam’s? Elizabeth in a moment of weakness, decided to change the test results and therefore passed the wrong information to Jason in her attempt to get him all to herself and away from Sam?

I’m dying to see Liz with Jake , but more than that I have truly bought into Sam and Patrick and would love to see where this quadrangle goes. Hope it doesn’t get dropped as so many stories and pairings seem to on GH.

They are probably just going to rip the rug out from under us. As much chemistry as Rebecca has with Billy Miller, they do not care for Elizabeth and will most likely put him with Kelly Monaco. It’s not fair. Liz was there first. 🙂

I think that Elizabeth and Jake are cute together. I like how Jake is being written (minus the mind control, courtesy of Helena). I think he acts cute and sweet. While neither character-Elizabeth or Sam-is my favorite female character, I do like Elizabeth with Jake. I’m really not a fan of Sam. I find her to be boring and she’s either speaking in a monotone or crying-while in her black pants, white t-shirt, and black boots. C’mon wardrobe-Kelly Monacco is a beautiful girl-dress her up once in a while! HA! (I know, her wardrobe matches her character…)

Billy Miller for the win
Liz wants a man who is a little evil so she can whine and change him into something he’s not. She is never happy with what she has she always wants someone else’s man or one she can’t have and she will try to get him by whatever method she can. The only man I have ever thought she was happy with was Lucky and he ran away from her too.
I like this story a lot and all three actors are wonderful in it.
However, the thing that really MOVED me in Thursday’s episode was Franco & Nina. When Franco gave her the pep-talk then Alexis showed up and Nina insisted she represent Franco too – Howarth and Stafford were SPECTACULAR in these scenes. It’s the level of acting you don’t often see in film let alone soaps. Not big and over the top but small, subtle, and so damn powerful. These two are really creating something special with these characters.
Kudos to the whole GH cast on a 2104 to remember – overall best cast in all of television for my money.
A quote from Michelle when asked how she likes working with roger;
”We did some scenes the other day that’ll air in December that made me go, ‘Oh my God, I didn’t even have to act!’ I just had to be there. I hope they turn out great. What happened between us in that particular scene, I have never experienced before as an actress with another actor. Ever.”
Roger and Michelle = my favorite couple (and they aren’t even a certified couple, yet..

Hey, Nick…so glad someone else sees what I see…I love this couple. I know how far Michelle’s reach as an artist extends. I just wish the culmination of this storyline is at hand so that both she and Roger may gift us with their undeniable talent….not just their ‘crazy’ side.

The fact is Jason loved Sam when he “died”. When he gets his memories back, he’s going to remember that and his son. Liz is about to get hurt again and I’m tired of seeing that. Liz and Nik should be given a proper romantic stories and stop throwing them at other people.
I agree. I want Elizabeth and Nik together! I haven’t seen chemistry between Jake and Sam yet but it will be fun to see. I think Nik and Liz have great chemistry together though!

Well, it looks like their setting this up for Sam to despise Jake and then she finds out Jake is Jason and is torn and eventually finds her way back to him!
NuJason has more spark with Carly, but I don’t think the writers will go that route due to the history of Jarly. Jason has never looked at Carly that way since she cheated on him with Sonny. I will never forget that episode. I was devastated.
Sam needs to be with Patrick, and Liz needs to be with Nik.
This one is a hard choice for me, given that Sam and Liz have so much history together. But i want sam, lil jake, and jason back together as one big happy family. Now, i love liz with aka jake . Can theybe all together lol 🙂
Sam of course…without a doubt. They have an intense chemistry. A younger Julexis in their own right. They are no longer only Jasam but Mr. and Mrs. Morgan. (aka Mr. and Mrs. Smith) hahaha. No other couple can do that but this one.

I agree about the intensity. On GH they’ve only just started showing Sam & Jake alone in scenes and the intensity is already there, IMO. Especially at the PCPD. I didn’t know if she was gonna scold him or jump him. I predict that she hates him but is hot for him at the same time. Didn’t Jason and Sam hate each other the 1st time they met back in the day?
I do like Liz and Jake, but I already see problems. She got him khakis and a blue shirt (for Thanksgiving dinner, but still). I feel she dismisses his memories and gut feelings (the Quartermaines feelings). She even told him he hallucinated Helena at first. Not intentionally, but she does. He believes his memories though, like knowing another woman hit him, not Jordan..
His hair changed, clothing and demeanor. He’s starting to get very intense. He’s already breaking Helena’s mind control (he’s remembering nabbing Sam).
I predict he will start something, maybe accidentally with Carly, from what I saw in spoilers. Then Liz, but she’ll be torn over Ric. Then he’ll start visiting Danny at Sam’s and they will fall in love.
As soon as Helena announced her diabolical plans for Jason, I predicted that he would miraculously disentangle himself from the invisible bonds holding his brain captive. He will trailer Helena’s evil machinations and give her the surprise of her so-called-life. She won’t know what hit her.

anyways, I’m liking “Jake” with Elizabeth…but IF Rick is coming back to Port Charles…I have always liked Elizabeth and Rick together. There’s something unique and special between them.
In my area N.E. they bumped GH to broadcast Obama’s speech. I know the President’s speech can be important, but they might have done better to have GH as the lead in to the speech and kept a lot of soap viewers.
Not to get political but his news conference was not remotely important to our country that we couldnt have heard on the evening news and had the same impact. Unlike Y&R if your GH is interrupted they only way you can see it right away is by subscribing to Hulu. QUIT CUTTING IN ON GH! Thankfully the network didnt run the show anywhere and Fridays episode will be shown on Monday.
In the east Obama was on and preempted GH here…so it wasnt shown anywhere else today…i guess?

Jeremy I live in L.A. and since I DVR episodes I had no idea of this change. In searching the internet I’ve found out that most ABC stations WILL air the episode. The only wacky thing about it is you will watch the new Monday episode at it’s regular time and the Friday pre-empted episode immediately following at 3 pm..LOL..very true..just google programming alert for General Hospital. Hope you have a DVR..actually you could do on demand or HULU also…so you really haven’t missed the episode…and there’s always that tube thingy (:

Well, today she looked a bit trendy.
I just finished watching today’s episode where Sam justifies her mother’s break-up with Julian by blatantly stating that he is on the other side of the law. Duh-ah! Isn’t she married to a criminal? And, as I just found out, wasn’t she involved with that slitherer, Sonny?
Who knows who dresses her. Wardrobe? Herself? Lady Ga Ga! Yeah, Sammy baby has mob running through her veins. Jason, Sonny, and dont forget RICK! Plus, Samantha was a con artist so she should embrace Julian and those two can share trade secrets. I guess they wanted to soften her now that she is a mother?
I’m team liz & jake all the way, Sam is nothing but a whinner she complaints about everything and is a big o hypocrite, ( ok, all the girls have questionable past liz included) but still liz for me is hot with jake. Regardless as long as they play the triangle or quadrangle story I’m good I just hated when they made it the Sam and Jason show, no more of that please!

Well I want him (BM) to be with Victoria back in Geona City. (LOL), but since that ain’t happening anytime soon I think the character will be with both ladies. First Elizabeth until
he get his memories back. Then he will be torn between the gratitude he had for Liz being in his corner when nobody else was and his old feelings for Sam, but eventually his feelings for Sam will win out and those two will reunite—until some new obstacles comes and breaks them apart, because this is a soap and no couple is a couple for very long.

Becky Herbst and Billy Miller work so well together. Kelly Monaco is better off collaborating with Jason Thompson. Plus a Jason Morgan with a sense of humor and a real personality is a better fit with Liz. The robotic and stone cold Jason was better off with a dour, lifeless Sam.

As for Kelly Monaco, I’d prefer to see Sam with Michael Easton (Silas), once again. I think they have really great chemistry. And, I’d love to see Patrick (Jason Thompson) with a new love interest!

Oh CeeCee, it goes waaay beyond that!!!! He actually impregnated both of them!!!! Sam had a brief fling with the “Little Don” in her early days in Port Charles, and found herself with child. She delivered a daughter who did not survive. And of course, Alexis spawned Christina with Sonny. However, this was long before either woman knew of their biological link, but when it came to light, even Corinthos himself was (momentarily) appalled….he had one of those eye-glazing moments with the realization he had sired children with a mother AND her daughter. Ewwwww, indeed!!!!!!
Why is it that Sam’s a slut, and all the guys that have had several one nighters/partners, or worse, never seem to get the Scarlett Letter “A” treatment from a lot of people…just women. Same happens in “real life.”

It has been a man’s world since the beginning of Eden/paradise/….LOL. Why? Because God, as we envision Him is a man. We women have come a long way, baby? I suppose, but that insidious double standard still exists. It is in our blood.
However, in my eyes, a Don Juan is just a fancy name for a scuzz-ball….enter, Sonny ! Women get a bad rap, yes….they are labelled as sluts, harlots, skanks, whores. Men, on the other hand, win trophies for the number of women they have bedded. You know, another notch in their belts?
Lest I forget, not everyone feels the same way…I am one of the odd ones, as most women of my generation think nothing of sleeping with every Tom, Dick and Harry (yeah, you, Harry…..LOL).
And, by the same token, many men do not care how many bed partners their wives have had before marriage.
I honestly don’t know if the concept labeling women as sluts when they sleep around while their male counterparts are studs will ever dissipate. But, this is how men THINK they can prove their sexual prowess . It remains to be seen how well they satisfy, yes? lol. I think men try to outdo each other, to prove what? When Liz had Jason’s son those were exciting episodes. When Sam let baby Jake be taken from the park and when Sam had Liz and her sons threaten by gun men that should have ended Sam and Jason relationship for good. She should have never received any more chances with Jason. When they killed baby Jake off the show just so Sam and Jason could have a son was total wrong. I rather see Elizabeth with Jake (Jason) not Sam and Jake.
Sam and Jason belong together. I cannot stand Elizabeth, she always comes between Sam and Jason. She goes from one man to another and has or had 3 kids from 3 different fathers. She is a cheat. Yes, Sam has made mistakes, but not even close to what Elizabeth has done. But, I really like Sam with Silas, I would really even like Sam and Patrick, but they always bring Robin back and he will go back to Robin.

Whatever, I know that complete story, but the difference is Sam forgives Elizabeth. Elizabeth always is jumping down Sam’s throat. She is all high and mighty and plays all innocent. Sam at least does not act like a witch. When Sam made her mistakes it was because she was going through some tough times, unlike Elizabeth who made bad mistakes for no reason. Plus, the reason she should not be with Jason is because she does not accept who he is and Sam does. Also, I want back the “real” Jason. He should have not been replaced. The storyline is way stupid. I feel like they are screwing up General Hospital. I just want All My Children back and another great soap, Port Charles. So there!

Its tough because Jake is nothing like the Jason we remember & 90% of his scenes since he came back are with Liz so people are getting used to them but….bottom line….Jason loved Sam was married her and had a child….he didn’t leave them by choice. So while yes this guy has no memory & may fall for Liz, it’s a soap…he’s going to get his memory back.

I love Billy Miller – I hadn’t seen him in anything before and I wasn’t a Jason fan but I converted. Lol. I agree that Jason needs to be alone for a while. He is so animated and funny and just great to watch, and I’d like to see him have a relationship with just about anybody on GH. I don’t want him with either Liz or Sam – that’s been done to death and I am utterly tired of the JaSam Liaison wars. Ugh. Too negative. I like Sam with Silas and I like Liz with Ric.

Except that we didn’t all love the Jason we knew. I was thoroughly sick of Jason by the time Steve Burton left and was relieved not to have him around anymore. So far “Jake” at least interests me. It could be that once he has his memory back and goes back to being Jason, Billy Miller won’t make a bit of difference, and I’ll be as tired of Jason as I ever was. But for now, at least, he’s interesting, and I haven’t been able to say that about Jason for years.
Becky and Billy have had incredible natural chemistry from the get go. Becky has chemistry with all of her romantic matches. However, I would love for Liz to finally get the leading man (Jake/Jason – we know TPTB will have him front and center). This way I will selfishly get to see more of her. Nik is a supporting character and Ric (RH) is probably on only for a story arc and will eventually disappear again.
I’d personally like to see “Jake” stay solo for a while and work though everything that is happening to him. When he gets his memories back he will more than likely run to Sam and Danny because their the ones he loved before “dying” and by that point Patrick will be a bigger factor in her life. After that he may go back to Liz because at the rate story lines have been dragging Liz may be due to deliver his baby lol. I’m more looking forward to him reconnecting with the Quartermanes and ripping Carly and Sonny a new one, since once again at the rate of these story lines he’ll be out of jail.
I agree, why does everyone always have to hook up. Relax. Literally Jason, clear your head and then worry about girls! If Jason is a Morgan I want him with Sam, if he is a Q, Liz or someone new on the canvas. Maybe a new female doctor at GH? What if Liz’s sister comes back to town and there is a triangle, sister versus sister!
Sam can have new Jason but Patrick should be with Liz, if not the Robin of a few years ago.
I think Sam has the better chemistry with him, but I just don’t like Billy in this role. He needs to go back to Y&R. Jason should have remained off GH until Steve was ready to return, because Shawn is doing fine as Sonny’s enforcer.
I prefer a JakeģLiz pairing but even more than that I hope for the return of Jason Quartermaine when his memory does return. So sick of all of the mobsters. Mobsters in Port Charles and on the dock and at home and in da clubs and in jail. Are all of God’s children mobsters?!?!?! Geeez already.
You know, I don’t feel strongly about Jake with either woman. I’d just like Elizabeth to have a little happiness and some success in the romance department. She deserves it.
Sam is actually more interesting to me without Jason, but my bet is that Jason and Sam, and not Jason and Liz, is where the show is heading. How long it will take to get there is anybody’s guess.
I really love Jake and Liz! They have a lot of chemistry and are adorable in every scene that they share! I really don’t see it with Jake and Sam, I am still hoping for her and Silas to be together again. And it’s about time Liz has a good romantic chance with somebody! I hope they’ll end up together.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Carly and Lulu Make Plans to Rescue Their Children; Anna Looks Determined to Secure Her Freedom
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, the race is on! Can Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) get to Rocco (Finn Carr) and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) in time to ensure their safety from Cullum (Andrew Hawkes)? Can Carly (Laura Wright) with the help of her brother, Lucas (Van Hansis) rescue Josslyn (Eden McCoy) from captivity at Wyndemere? These questions may be answered, plus the return of the one and only Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) are on tap!
In the just released General Hospital spoilers video for the week of June 22-26, Lulu tells her mother, Laura (Genie Francis), “Dante and I have to get to Rocco before Cullum!” Meanwhile, Rocco (Finn Carr) looks angered and emotional as Britt walks through their cabin hideout. Does Rocco know his parents are on the way to find them, or has Cullum already tracked them down to the British Virgin Islands?
Back in Port Charles, Carly is informing Lucas that his niece, “is a WSB agent.” She knows Josslyn (Eden McCoy) is being held against her will at Wyndemere, and she has to find a way to get her out. Lucas agrees with Carly’s plan of, “We go in and we don’t leave without Josslyn!” Elsewhere, Josslyn is looking worried for her future as she is stuck in captivity thanks to Cassius, Cullum and Sidwell!

FINOLA HUGHES RETURNS
The final moments of the teaser promo reveal Anna in a psychiatric clinic in France. We have not seen her for months after Cullum, Sidwell and Pascal fed her hallucinogenics to make her believe her arch nemesis, Cesar Faison was alive!
Now, the doctors walk towards her hospital bed, where we see the super spy calmly knitting. Is Anna back to normal and playing everyone to get out of her predicament, or does she still remain deeply traumatized … or both?

Maurice Benard Gives High Praise to ‘General Hospital’ Writers; Teases Upcoming Sonny Scenes with Anna, Jason, Justine and Ric
With the highly-anticipated returns of Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) on this week’s June 24 episode of General Hospital, Steve Burton’s (Jason Morgan) upcoming return on July 13, which also serves as the ABC daytime drama’s 16,000 episode, things are about to fire on all cylinders in the story, as noted today by series star, Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos).
On Father’s Day, the three-time Daytime Emmy-winning actor and mental health activist took to his Instagram and expressed in a video that he has some unbelievable upcoming senes with the aforementioned Burton and Hughes. Add to that Nazneen Contractor (Justine Turner) and Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing), where Benard gave credit where credit is due to the GH writing team, which is led by co-head writers, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten..
In this video, Benard said, “I just want to get on here and say that I did some work with Steve Burton, Finola Hughes, Rick Hearst, Nazneen Contractor, and they’re all just fantastic. Truly fantastic. But, I want to say the writing was just exceptional. It truly was. It was exceptional. So, thankful for that kind of writing. I know writers don’t get the credit a lot, but I just want to say to the General Hospital writing team, keep rolling!”

So now the question becomes, with a major tease like that, what is about to go down between Sonny, Anna, Jason, Justine and Ric? Will we finally get to the end of the line for Sidwell (Carlo Rota), as previously teased by the GH co-head writers? Will we learn what happened to Jason and Anna, fully? Will Justine and Sonny becomes closer or stop their liaisons? And what of Ric? Will he be true blue to his brother or double-cross him? There is a lot at stake as we move further into the summer and one that looks like it could be one of the more exciting ones in years!
FINOLA HUGHES CONFIRMED AMAZING SCENES WITH MAURICE BENARD
As a punctuation point to his video, Benard also shared this written message in the post: “I just did some wonderful scenes with Steve Burton, Rick Hearst, Finola Hughes and Nazneen Contractor and and unbelievable writing, freaking amazing scenes that you will see in the near future on General Hospital.” In fact, Finola Hughes jumped in the post comment thread and responded, “I loved our scenes so much xxx”
Fans will most likely see all the scenes Benard referred to later in July, since GH tapes approximately six weeks ahead of air.

‘General Hospital’ Alum Chad Duell Announces Upcoming Release of His First Single, ‘If You Need Me’
In a surprise move, Daytime Emmy winner, Chad Duell (ex-Michael Corinthos, GH) is getting ready to unveil a new chapter of his career in music.
The former GH star, where he played the son of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) for 15 years, has announced his new single, “If You Need Me” will drop on Friday, June 26. The single is now available for pre-order on Spotify and major music streaming platforms and is distributed by DistroKid.
Taking to his Instagram story over the weekend, to announce the pre-save of his new single, Chad expressed, “I’ll make a full post about what I’ve been up to and my music once it goes live next week, but you can pre-save my first single so it goes straight to your Spotify once it drops next week.”

SINCE LEAVING GENERAL HOSPITAL
Previously, since his departure from the ABC soap opera. Chad starred alongside Zach Mendez in the world premiere of of Yum Yum at Annapolis, a new play written by Bruce Reisman. Duell last appeared on General Hospital on the January 21, 2025 episode.
The part was recast with Rory Gibson who debuted as the new Michael in May of 2025 during the Nurses’ Ball episodes and who has remained in the role since that time.
In an interview earlier this year on The Able Show, Duell said on his decision to exit the soap opera, “I was blessed to be part of that (show) for as long as I have, but what happens sometimes is if you’re doing the same thing, especially in a creative field for such a long time, you can get a little burnt out in a way. It can make you a little depressed, so that’s kind of what happened. On top of that, I had other things going on in my life at the time. My father passed away recently and I just needed a reset. So, I stepped away. A lot of times you have to go through some stuff to really step into that next level. I needed to kind of feel uncomfortable.”
