Fans of General Hospital will once again have the opportunity to spend a day building a Habitat for Humanity home with their favorite cast members! The 5th Annual General Hospital Fan Build has been announced for Saturday, March 8, 2014 in Los Angeles.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFH GLA) will host the 5th Annual General Hospital Fan Build as part of its entertainment partnership program, Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity (HFHFH).
General Hospital Fan Build Days originated in 2009 with Brandon Barash (Ex-Johnny) and Lisa LoCicero (Olivia), who created the event as a way to reward loyal fans of the show, while becoming more involved with Habitat for Humanity. Each year cast members and fans enjoy a day of building a home and raising awareness for affordable housing.
At the upcoming the March 2014 event, the following GH cast members have volunteered their time and have confirmed their attendance. They include: Jimmy Deshler (Rafe Kovich, Jr.) William Devry (Julian Jerome) Kathleen Gati (Liesl Obrecht) Maura West (Ava Jerome) Lisa LoCicero (Olivia Falconeri) Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber) Robin Mattson (Heather Webber) Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne) and Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri) with more cast members to be announced soon.
Fans may register online here for one of 20 build spots available this year. The minimum donation is $275, and 100 percent of the proceeds help HFH GLA build more homes for hardworking, low-income families and individuals in the greater Los Angeles area. A limited number of build spots have been made available on a first come first served basis. The 5th Annual General Hospital Fan Build Day will take place Saturday, March 8, 2014 at an undisclosed location in greater Los Angeles. Registered volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
