GH's Blockbuster Summer Promo from ABC – Romance, Revenge & Revelations! – Watch the Video!

courtesy/ABC

Things heat up this summer on General Hospital as the lone ABC soap tries to get itself set for its new September time slot when it moves into the hour the used to be held by One Life to Live.

In the ABC Summer Blockbuster promo, there looks to be plenty of romance, plenty of revenge, and some startling revelations!

In the romance department, there is Heather’s fixation with Luke, (if you call that romance!),  Starr and Michael, Todd and Blair ( with Kassie DePaiva returns!).  Then comes revenge department with Heather yielding a syringe and John and Sonny having a confrontation, and last the revelation department with Todd finding out it was Jason’s kid who he switched with Tea, the identify of who Trey really is, and Johnny admitting, “I’m guilty alright!”  But then at the end of the promo, comes Patrick seeing Robin!

Now with all the quick intercuts and edits, there is more to decipher and more going on.  See if you can weigh-in and let us know what you think is going to happen the rest of this summer on GH?   Watch the promo after the jump and follow along!

DITTO! Their chemistry is undeniable. It’s still there from the Port Charles days of Caleb and Livvie. Hope the writers pull out all the stops and let them sizzle! I say let Liz have Jason. I always liked those two together. The way the story is unfolding, looks like Liz still has a thing for Jason. Not even the good doctor Keanan with his charm and MD after his name can take her mind off of Jason.

I do like Olivia, but could this be a “storyline dictated” murder plot trade off to have Heather ? Looks like a great storyline for Heather… and think that Olivia would /will give a remarkable fight before losing out to Heather.

Actually, as much as I always rooted for Todd and Blair, I’m thinking a Todd and Carly hook-up would work well. Does anyone else agree? Your thoughts guys?

Alley

That wouldn’t work for me. Except for one time with Tea which he immediately regretted, Todd has only wanted and been with one woman, and that is Blair. If he hooked up with anyone else, the character Roger worked so hard to create would be compromised. Roger left OLTL a few times when they tried to make him some sort of romantic hero, and both he and Susan Haskell balked when the TBTB wanted Todd and Marty, the woman he raped, to have a relationship. As for Carly and Todd? I wouldn’t not want to see that and if it… Read more »

Hey Barbara T… I just read that GH is currently casting for a blonde, blue eyed little girl, in the 3-4 year old age range…. Do you think that is Hope???? I heard some old family faces were going to show up (again) I don’t know if they meant that forger, or Robin, or what. What do you think?

It would be nice if Hope is alive, I know the One life to live fans are not happy about her death or Coles. I have no clue about the old family faces maybe the quartermaines that would be nice to spend time with them, They still are being ignored, their not on enough. I have no idea, cant wait to find out more.

John belongs with Natalie! They barely got back together before OLTL ended, and they deserve to be happy for a while, especially since John has a beautiful baby son with her! It would be too heart-breaking for me if John moved on so quickly!

That’s exactly my feelings and I want that little red headed girl that we were always teased with to be a part of the family also!

I agree with you Tali, I would also like to see john and Natalie have that little girl with the red hair, I never forgot that, and when Nat was pregnant I though she would have a girl and she didn’t, hopefully that will happen when General hospital goes to landview in the future or better yet when we get One life to live back.

I’m assuming Jason Thompson is playing Patrick right (as you can tell, I don’t watch GH)? If so, wasn’t he supposed to leave the show and do some other projects? I did read that he was stepping away from GH to go some other stuff.

Christy

the actor who played his brother Matt was going to leave for projects, then they just had his character go off to prison, so he’s off the show completely.

hadn’t heard about jason leaving tho.

Robin I doubt is back so soon. Like someone said, Patrick is hallucinating or something. Also like McBam. Jason is boring WITH Sam. Also, some fan favs coming back I heard. Frisco? Duke? Can only hope..

I hope he figures out a way to make things right regarding the baby deal- – without getting himself in trouble. something airtight that will only have heather in trouble!

laughed when he burst thru the door to fee Luke… dressed like Jason! That is like Jason, from Friday the 13th! that was so funny!

I’m sorry One Life to Live was canceled But I think is best travesty That General Hospital characters are being pushed to the side. No one cares about Star cause if they did One Life to Live would still be on. Do us a favor before we lose General Hospital send them back to Landview and maybe you should have been more concerned about keeping Steve Burton in Port Charles than losing your best actor to The Yong and the Restless…

Kim Delaney’s Lifetime Movie ‘Long Island Serial Killer: A Mother’s Hunt for Justice’ Drops Trailer

Coming up as part of Lifetime’s Ripped from the Headlines true crime series of movies, The Long Island Serial Killer: A Mother’s Hunt for Justice, is now slated to premiere next month on February 20th at 8 pm ET.

General Hospital’s Kim Delaney (Jackie Templeton) stars in the film, executive produced by Deborah Norville. in which she portrays, Mari Gilbert, a mother who becomes alarmed when her daughter Shannan (Katharine Isabelle) is MIA and doesn’t return home. Knowing her daughter sometimes works as an escort, Mari fears the worst.

As those who know the true life story, Mari’s attempt to find her daughter and the subsequent investigation leads to a chilling discovery – the bodies of several other missing women.

Photo: Lifetime

In the real life story, the remains of the women were uncovered accidentally as police searched for Shannan, who went missing after visiting a client, whom she met on Craigslist, in the gated community of Oak Beach on Long Island, and then fleeing the man’s home.   However, police believe that Mari’s unwavering fight to find her daughter which led to finding the other women is not how Shannan ultimately disappeared.

While the case has yet to be solved the film shares, “Though the search for the serial killer is still ongoing, Mari’s passionate dedication to giving her daughter and other forgotten women a voice, and the attention they deserve, has kept the case alive with hopes of a breakthrough soon.”

PEOPLE exclusively dropped the trailer over the weekend.  Make sure to check it out.

Once the trailer was released, Delaney shared on her Twitter account: “Amazing director @StanleyMBrooks Thank you so much, Stan!Very special producers, cast and crew. An important story!”

So will you be watching Kim in her star turn in the upcoming Lifetime movie event? Comment below.

WATCH: The Cast of ‘Studio City’ Talk On the Latest Five Episodes & The Making of the Critically-Acclaimed Digital Drama

It’s one of the most talked about digital dramas out there, with a look and feel all its own, containing smart, witty, and dramatic plots and dialogue, and stellar performances abound.

In Amazon Prime’s Studio City, the story about life on a soap in front of the camera juxtaposed with the often harsh reality of life behind the scenes, will have any fan of the genre getting a kick out of some of the very familiar soap tropes contained within balanced with the five-hankie moments throughout  And now, Studio City has dropped their latest five episodes picking the story back up from where it left off.

Michael Fairman chatted with the cast of Studio City in his latest interview for The Michael Fairman Channel on You Tube. Those taking part in this virtual conversation included: Sean Kanan (Sam), Sarah Joy Brown (Laurie), Tristan Rogers (Doc), Carolyn Hennesy (Gloria), Scott Turner Schofield (Max), Anna Maria Horsford (Jolene), and Justin Torkildesn (Jacob).  Ronn Moss, who also appears in the series playing a version of himself, was filming a movie during the scheduling of this chat, but his presence is felt when some hilarious moments featuring him and Sean Kanan were discussed.

Soap fans know these actors very well.  Kanan, Brown, Hennesy and Rogers have all, or are presently appearing, on General Hospital.  B&B fans recognize Torkilden, Horsford, Moss, and Schofield along with Kanan from their work on the CBS Daytime drama.

Getting a show up and running and then taped during the Covid-19 pandemic is no easy task as Kanan shared in the group interview.  As well, Anna Maria Horsford and Sarah Joy Brown share how they came to their parts and the rapid-fire pace in which their scenes were shot.  Tristan Rogers, who won a Daytime Emmy last year for his performance as Doc, gives another heartbreaking turn, and reveals his thoughts on the work he did, plus shares his remembrances of his late friend and GH co-star, John Reilly.

Scott Turner Schofield talks about how Sean and his wife Michele Kanan, two of the creators of the show, have given him and the transgender community a space with Max’s storyline in Studio City.  GH favorite, Carolyn Hennesy shares how she crafted her role of Gloria, the executive producer, after Jill Farren Phelps, and Daytime Emmy winner Justin Torkildsen shares how he wound up with a part in the digital drama and the scenes he shares with Hennesy.

You can check out the full Studio City cast interview below.  Then let us know, have you checked out the series? What have been your favorite moments and performances in it? Let us know in the comment section.

GH’s Lisa LoCicero Delivers The ‘Power Performance of the Week’

This week on General Hospital the truth came out on all fronts; as Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) put two and two together and realized Ned (Wally Kurth) cheated on her with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn).  Meanwhile, Alexis figured out Tracy (Jane Elliot) framed her to make it look like she passed out drunk behind the wheel.

Throughout, there were great performances from Wally Kurth, Jane Elliot and Nancy Lee Grahn, but it was soap vet, Lisa LoCicero, who for us was given the material and stole the show with her heartbreaking performances as a woman scorned.

LoCicero plays Olivia Falconeri from Bensonhurst, so believably, that viewers understand her every woman, who married into the well-to-do Quatermaines, and who has a much higher moral and ethical standard then the Q’s.

In key scenes at the Quartermaine mansion, Olivia confronts Ned about the night he never came home, and she wants the truth.  She also rightly accuses Tracy on being part of the cover-up.  A caught Ned confesses.  He tells Olivia he was in a terrible place, and jumped to the wrong conclusion about her and Robert (Tristan Rogers), and began drinking, which Sam (Kelly Monaco) overhears and can’t believe he was drinking with an alcoholic. Olivia says that Ned is incapable of being trustworthy after spending his entire life amongst a house full of liars and cheats.  Meanwhile, Alexis shows up in the middle of all this to confront Tracy on her machinations setting the stage for a showdown between Olivia and Alexis.

When Alexis and Olivia talk in private, the former legal eagle apologizes to her friend for sleeping with her husband; saying they both knew it was wrong right after it happened, but Olivia quickly points out that they didn’t seem to stop themselves or think it was wrong, while he was unbuttoning his pants or she was taking off her blouse!

Olivia stands her ground through her devastation and is appalled that Alexis calls her a “friend” and how she is only showing remorse because she has been caught!

Courtesy/ABC

When Ned tries to talk to Olivia and professes how much he loves her and how sorry he is for having sex in a drunken stupor with Alexis, Olivia is gut-punched.  Ned continually says he thought Olivia and Robert hooked-up thanks to Brook Lynn deleting messages meant for Ned.  The fact that he would assume the worst of her, only made things worse for Ned, and then to go as far as having revenge sex with Alexis, made Olivia feel her husband had sunk to new lows.

It is then Olivia has a moment of reckoning; wondering what is her role in the Quartermaine family anyway, and how she doesn’t really fit in.  Ned promises to wait for her and begs her not to give up on them.  When he leaves, Liv breaks down … her marriage in pieces and betrayed by all those she thought she could trust.

Each of the aforementioned moments were played to perfection by LoCicero, leaving the audience wondering just what will Olivia do next and how will she bounce back from this betrayal.  That is why Michael Fairman TV names Lisa our pick for The Power Performance of the Week.  And, if it’s one thing we know about Olivia, she is a scrappy fighter, a survivor, and in the capable hands of this actress, we will be rooting for her all along the way.

So, what did you think of the performance of Lisa LoCicero?  Do you hope Olivia and Ned work things out and they stay together, or do you want to see if she and Robert Scorpio might have a new romance? Comment below.
