The talented Michael O’Leary (Ex-Rick, Guiding Light), who spearheaded the hilarious soap spoof web series, Steamboat, posted news of a new web project featuring several familiar faces from daytime dramas on his facebook page this weekend!

Leary stated:  “Just shot a pilot called Harbors in West Hampton two weeks ago. The 30 minute soap was written by Meg Kelly of ATWT and DOOL.  It features Daytime stars Beth Chamberlin, Liz Keifer, Danny Cosgrove and Orlagh Cassidy among others.  There have been executives from ‘other places’ that teamed up with us that made this happen. They have devised a financial/Production model that makes doing a daytime show that looks like nighttime feasible. We will be shopping this to the web/cable next week! We’ll see!”

So soapers, what do you think of this news? Would you be interested to see Harbors given the talent O’Leary noted?  Let us know!

This is fantastic news! I love that it was shot in New York. I wish them the best of luck and I definitely would watch this show!

If they’ve truly come up with a financial/production model that will work, congratulations. Obviously, the Prospect Park people should have talked to some of these folks before raising hopes of soap fans and dashing them so cruelly when they were unable to deliver on what they promised.

I don’t know. I hated Steamboat, so I’m skeptical of his projects now. I hope this one’s better. GL stars may lure me to at least check it out.

Oh, yes I would watch it! I still miss GL & ATWT terribly. These shows always had the most solid casts, and I would love to see some of them again every day.

You said it Kimberly, they sure did have the most solid casts!

let’s not compare apples and oranges – a webseries with occasional episodes or finite seasons is not comparable to the monster all-year-round production machine that is a soap worthy its salt

It sounds stupid, but when GL & ATWT went off the air, I cried for days. I had gotten to “know” these people that I had watched everyday for years. My Mom ( she has passed) did too. You escape into their world…feel their pain & happiness. Seeing them in another soap would be great. I would definitely watch!
