Is Hunter Tylo Exiting The Bold and the Beautiful For Good?

More shake-ups at The Bold and the Beautiful with the news today from Hunter Tylo (Taylor) herself that her last airdate and episode will air on July 3rd! This came on the heels of her on-screen daughter, Jacqueline MacInnes Woods (Steffy) decision to temporarily exit the series earlier this week.
Seems Tylo states in a personal message to her fans, that she is now off-contract with the series, as of four weeks ago. So is the end for Tylo? Or, will things be rectified?
Tylo posted a special message in her Hunter Tylo Forum to subscribers on her website stating: “I am getting bombarded with questions to quell rumors, and here in my forum, I will clarify that Jacqui and I are (coincidentally) off our contracts. I have been very successful outside of B&B and I have no doubt she will be too. And more so, because she is free and single to travel all over the world.
For me, contract talks ended four weeks ago. I am moving forward and opening back up to the thousands of acting roles available, writing and pursuing my skin care line. My friends and B&B fans will be sorely missed. But don’t worry! I’ll keep you posted of my every new adventure.”
In regards to Jacqueline MacInnes Wood status with the show a B&B rep informed On-Air On-Soaps yesterday “Jacqueline MacInnes Wood is taking a short break, as she has done in the past, from B&B. She remains as the character of “Steffy Forrester” and is continuing to tape, currently with episodes airing through July of 2013 and then beyond.”

I hope it’s not true. Well, obviously since Hunter says it herself, but I hope they’ll be put on contract STAT!
I will miss Taylor but I was always a Brook fan. I wish Hunter the best and hope everything goes good for her. But now I can really watch the show and pull for Brook and Bill.
It really isn’t about the characters, its the roles written for them that turn us sour. Taylor Hayes was a gifted and professional psychiatrist in the beginning. Now her role was nothing more than that of a busybody. Not Hunter Tylo’s fault.
Ridge Forrester was a gifted and talented fashion designer. Before his departure his role was being a whipped doormat for his slut of a wife. Not Ron Moss’ fault.
Stephanie Forrester was the Matriarch and money behind Forrester Creations, and damn if she didn’t keep Bell in line with that role, right up to her retirement. Mr Bell must have had a healthy fear of her. Her fashion competition, Sally, and that whole fashion house… written out.
Then came Mossimo and wife Jackie, and son, Nick,. All good characters. Owen, Bridgett, Amber on and on… great stories…. all gone.
And who remains? Brooke.
Brooke, who broke up the marriage of Taylor and Ridge, who slept with BOTH of her daughter, Bridgett’s husbands, Deacon, who’s affair got her pregnant with Hope, and Nick, and again Nick when he was married to, again, Taylor, which affair resulted in Taylor being artificially inseminated with Brooke’s and Nick’s baby! (which was right after Katie wanted him.) Then had sex with Hope’s boyfriend at Hope’s “coming out” party, and finally landed on a deserted island with Thomas, clad in the skimpiest torn clothes ever and had a “psychedelic trip” with him in which neither could remember if they had sex or not. So you can understand how Brooke’s sneaky phone calls with DEACON AGAIN, sent Ridge packing. So the lonely, manless Brooke had no choice but to hook up with the most available man, even if it was her sister’s husband. I’m sure I left out a few a long the way in the life of Brooke Logan, but make no mistake, she has not suffered the consequences of ANY of them. The only character who could make her suffer was Stephanie. I miss her the most.
OMG, did I ever miss a few…. After breaking up Ridge and Taylor’s marriage, he went back to Taylor… So Brooke took Eric from Stephanie. And somewhere along the line she screwed Thorne, too.
Four Forrester originals are no longer on the show in the span of one year: Ron Moss who played Ridge Forrester, Susan Flannery who played Stephanie Forrester, Hunter Tylo who played Taylor Hayes Forrester, and my new favorite, Jacqueline MacInnes Woods who played Steffy Forrester. JMW please come back. I cannot watch anymore until you do.
And did you all forget that Brooke came on the show in the very beginning by trying to steal Ridge from Caroline his very first true love when she was supposed to be catering to his wedding. Brooke has been a basic slut since day one and its never changed. She’s never paid, apparently never will, let’s just hope this new one between Katie and Ridge sticks, it would be nice to see something good happen for others and slut Logan get hers. Now dear Hope is trying to follow in mommies footsteps manipulating men like possessions with the taunting of sex/no sex/sex.

I think the show has changed these past few weeks. I think Liam’s character is horrible. the writers need to take a break.
Good. Never liked the character anyway. It’s hard to look at these women after they have so much work done to themselves and think it makes them look better. She looks like a Gelfling from the Dark Crystal now. She looked so much better before.
As for the character: Taylor has to be the absolute worst Psychiatrist ever! Not only does she give bad advice, but any client she has better not expect any privacy in their personal life either.

Rude,rude & unnecessary! Hunter is a person,with feelings,NOT her character !? And as far as plastic surgery goes,I feel that just about everyone in Hollywood is in THAT boat!!…thanks to critical fans like you & the general public’s insatiable need to stay forever young!! It’s ridiculous that ACTRESSES have been made to feel insecure about their age & have the need to do this due to competition for roles & to secure their livelihood. What a shame…yes,SHAME on people like YOU. Plus,the show & characters suck—BLAME THAT,solely on the WRITERS & Mr.BELL!
i understand what u r saying and i agree most actors and actresses have had work done. im pretty sure KKL has had some work done too but she still looks natural heck if i had the money id have some work done. but when u look at someone and it just slaps you in the face that they have had work done they have taken it to the extreme! you really have to wonder if this woman has some serious self esteem issues. i dont like the character of taylor but i do like hunter and i wish her the best

With Tyler, Stephanie, Ridge and Steffy gone, and Brooke up to her old tricks (pun intended) it’s time for me to go too.
I’m feeling the same way… it might be time for me to just give up on B&B. Hunter & Jacqui have been my main reason to continue watching, especially sin Ron & Susan are gone. after that they’ll be no reason for me to watch as i’m not much of a fan of The Logan family & it looks like that’s all it will be.
Hey I think JMW is just taking a short break you probably will not even notice she is gone. Pretaping and all. I think HT from what I hear from good sources was indeed unhappy with the recycle again and how her character has been written.
Just no more hurried weddings and such and then haqve characters leave town. Ugh. B&B has ruined any excitement of romance and weddings with its leaden triangles and multiple spotaneous trips down the aisle. I don’t care anymore
A break is always good. I would hope Hunter Tylo would return and Taylor Hayes would return to the smart, sexy, vibrant, strong woman she once was. I would like to see that. Why must every woman be in bed with every other man like they were switching squaredance partners. No more fun there.
I would like to see the same for Steffy. I would like to see more drama from dealing with raising special needs children, loss of wealth, challenges of politics, family secrets that mean something, challenges that enrich and engage characters outside themselves, a natural disaster… anything that refelcts today’s social issues.
I think the storytelling is tired. despite talented attractive people, B&B is not bold anymore. I am tired of the merry-go-round of lackluster affairs and no suspense. If it were not for the Stephanie Forrester Dies storyline, there would be no awards buzz here. It gave Brooke Logan such entry to new character developments, and they put he right intobed with her sister’s husband. Sigh.

As far as Taylor goes–good riddance to the nosy b—– at one time she was beautiful, before she had work done-her face & her lips–ugh !!! Maybe Liam can go back to Hope if Steffy leaves-yeah. Now if they could just get rid of that nasty controlling Bill Spencer it might be perfect…..
I could not agree more. I hate the character of Taylor and I am glad she is leaving. The plastic surgery that Deborah (her real name) has had done has ruined her looks completely.
Brad Bell has made this show about the younger set and now since we have decided for Brooke to have another kid and Eric is going to bail her out maybe HT caught tired of this mess like RM did. Their is no balance anymore has not been in 3 yrs.
Ronn Moss left because of other reasons, not because of the show itself.

Not upset by this. Hunter Tylo is a good talent, but the role of Taylor has become so hypocritical, annoying and nosey in the past few years. I wish her the best in her future journies. Maybe even another daytime role? Maybe a recast of Billie on DAYS? Or on another show? Who knows! But I am not upset by this. It’s been time for her to go for a long time coming.

Ummm, no. I’m not. I’m saying it because Lisa Rinna took the role Hunter was meant to play on MR. And I feel like Billie is needed on DAYS, and since Julie Pinson isn’t likely to return….

The story on B&B has been the same since it began.
The show is one continuing rehash.
Sadly, The Bold and Beautiful has missed the boat as both Hunter Tylo and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s talents have been over looked and under-used.
Obviously these actor’s abilities are way over and above what B&B could handle in the first place, which is evidenced by the shabby and weak storylines that the writers have given them to play over the years.
I suspect that the only reason for this is because no one at B&B has ever had any idea what to do with acting chops and talent like theirs.
As a writer I know that we have to engage ourselves in work that challenges us or else we wind up in a rut and believe me that is no place that anyone ever wants to be.
I applaud the choices that these actors have made here and I wish both Hunter and Jacki the very best and look forward to their future projects.
I agree, Paula Kate Prince-Meserole. The writing and producing of this show has gone down-hill. They already lost one of their best actors when Stephanie chose to leave and now they are losing Steffy and Taylor. Probably won’t be too long before there’s a new Rick since the actor playing him deserves better written storylines as does the characters of Liam, Bill and Katie, played by really great actors. Hopefully the new character Jesse played by Ricky Paul Goldin will have better storylines. They have ruined the character of Caroline by turning her into a Jekyll and Hyde.

I used to really enjoy both characters, but over the last couple of years they have both become so annoying to watch. Steffy is clearly not going to end up with Liam and the sooner she leaves that storyline the better. Taylor used to be the voice of reason for everyone, now she pokes her nose into everyone’s personal business and justifies it with being Katie’s therapist. A real professional therapist would NEVER discuss a patient’s case with anyone and NEVER outside her iffice as Taylor happily discusses in hospital corridors, folks homes and Forrester Creations. She has lost all credibility and dont get me started on her moving in ob Eric and trying to ursurp Stephanie’s position. Im afraid not many will miss either and thats the writers fault, not these two actresses!

I am very disappointed B&B didn’t try harder to keep these two actors on the show. I’m so sick of the other characters and sick of Hogans. And Brooke being pregnant….really!! She’s in her 50’s – must have gone through her “change” a long time ago….too long in the tooth for a pregnancy plot. One of the main reasons I remained loyal after Ridge and Stephanie left was Steffy/Liam and Taylor. I love the Steffy/Liam with Steffy – both actors have been fantastic during the pregnancy/wedding/miscarriage storyline. The only two reasons left to watch B&B is Bill and the new character played by Ricky Paul Goldin (but hate him being paired off with the insufferable Meya, Mala, Molly, whatever).

What’s wrong with Maya? I like her character a lot! She’s talented, feisty, and doesn’t put up with entitled primadonna Caroline’s crap or Bill Spencer’s bullying. (The writer’s have been doing far more justice for her character’s script and story line than they ever did for Talylor or Steffies’! )
i did not like maya at first because like most of the other women on this show she thinks its ok to interfer in another womans relationship.(which is also why i dont like steffy) when she found out he had a girl friend she should have backed off. i just dont approve of that kind of thing. she has started to grow on me but i do not like her with rick at all. i think he was much better paired with caroline cause in my opinion he is a brat too.. i think maya should be paried up with carter. he is MUCH HOTTER and a way better person.

If Liam goes back with that insipid Hope I am done watching. If they are having Eric leave Taylor for Brooke for a cover up, I am also done. There is NO creative writing on this show. It is the same crap over and over.

All the former characters were great . Either gone or killed off. There is nothing to watch. AND HUNTER TYLER PLAYED A MEDICAL DOCTOR WHO WAS INVOLVED AS CAROLINE’S PHYSICIAN WHEN SHE WAS DYING. TOO ME SHE HAD THE MOST SCRUPLES OF ALL. AND POOR THORNE . This show is no longer and I had always enjoyed it so much!!!! They’re all young people and it is not fair to all the public viewers who were interested in this show. Well this is either a case of another cast member jumping off a sinking ship or another actor who wanted more money than they are worth. But since she is soooo convinced she got tons of jobs to fall back on– I wish her well. Not sure if I would want a recast or not– I am hoping this might just force Brad Bell to think up some new characters and storylines instead relying on the same old, same old. It is too bad he doesn’t want to take a break because this show might benefit from a new head writer.
BYE Hunter Tylo, never cared for her or her acting. She brings nothing to the show IMO. Maybe now it can focus on more than Liam, Steffy, and Hope.
I’m not the least bit upset with the news Hunter is leaving. Her character pretty much repeats the same lines every time she’s on anyway. I don’t think she’s a very good actress since she can no longer move her face to show the different emotions needed to be seen. I would like to see the role of Taylor recast and a storyline that was more about her past with Brooke played out. I do wish her the best as she goes forward though. As for JWM I’m happy to hear she’s just taking a short break 🙂
When you talked about her not being able to move her face I saw when Steffy lost the baby and she was supposed to be so upset. She couldn’t even cry and her face barely moved. It was rather pathetic to see her try to convey the emotion of what should have been the saddest day of her life. I had to stop watching because she was on every single day. I only wish JMW were leaving as well. Hopefully, Steffy will finally get paid back for all she did to Hope so I can start watching again.
Brad Bell is an amazingly bad writer. Hunter Tylo has ceased being a viable character over 10 years ago. I‘m not sure where the minds in Hollywood come up with a pairing like John McCook and Hunter Tylo….but things in Hollywood are not normal. I do pray for her on the loss of her son, and hope she finds other opportunities…but the character has long outlived her usefulness…as has the entire show. Nothing about the show is good writing, or acting, its just stupid. It supposedly takes place in Los Angeles but is written as if it is set on an Amish colony.
I am so sad to hear this news, both are incredibly talented ladies. Hunter Tylo has played such a huge role in keeping Bold and the Beautiful at the top for a long time, she is an amazing actress. Both Hunter and KKL have given the show balance for the last 23 years and with Hunter leaving, that balance is gone! JMW has really been doing an awesome job this past year and will be badly missed. Bold and the Beautiful could really be in trouble with the loss of so many irreplaceable central characters!! Whatever these actresses do or wherever they go, I wish them luck and success… x

I think you might be right BWK,look at how long some of these crew been there! Instead of actors leaving why can’t some of them (writers/producers) be replaced with brand new people and they can start at the top with lazy Brad Bell!!!
Hate it, this is now the LOGAN SHOW, it used to be about the Foresters and Fashion, now it’s about triangles and backstabbing. The storylines are centered around three triangles, they used to be centered on fashion, families, and fashion shows. The glamour is not there. Interest is waning. I love the location shoots, but where is the REAL FORESTERS, Thorne, Felicia, Kristen, and their brood? What happened to the CATWALK? It’s obvious Bells Blondes rule and everyone must take a backseat to them.
I’ll believe it when they are gone. I’m tired of the speculation. Hunter Tylo takes it upon herself to inform people that she and Jacqui are off contract and neither is returning. However, the show and reps say that Jacqui is only taking a break? Which is it? So far Jacqui has been quiet I think if she is taking a break she should just confirm this and say Hunter misunderstood. Now another soap media outlet is claiming to have spoken to Hunter’s rep and was told he continues to negotiate on her behalf with B&B. Again, which is it?
I am glad Hunter and JMW are leaving. Makes me wonder who is going to be causing problems for The Logans though. Hunter should have stayed gone years ago, she cant act. JMW maybe she wants a role where she is a good person. She is a great actress and will go far.

There are so many fantastic actors and actresses out of work and she comes off thinking she is so good that she could have any acting job she wanted. Sounds like a stunt to ask for more money and I hope they don’t give it to her. I stopped watching when she and Steffy became front and center. Maybe I can go back to watching again. Too bad I just read that Steffy will be doing all that pretaping. I am so tired of her and was hoping she would be gone as well. Hopefully, at least we can get rid of one of them. Funny how Hunter feels she can talk for JMW.
IF and WHEN both of these talented ladies leave #boldandthebeautiful then that’s it for me especially if my JMW decides she is done. No reason for me to watch anymore.
Fie one, Huntet should NEVER have never commented for Jacki. She should stick to explaining her own exit. Which is salary demands, of course. Same as Ronn Moss, each contract that comes MUST be negotiated for less, those long on the show never agree to that and many leave. J. woods is just taking a break.

I really wish that Taylor would NOT leave, she deserves to be happy with Erick and Brooke needs to own up to all the lives she has ruined. Things need to turn around for a change in favor of Steffy, Thomas and Taylor. I know there are many who would like to seethe tables turn and have KARMA bite Brooke in the buns.

we are a little behind in australia and its only just become evident that taylor is gone. I have been watching the show since it started and it has certainly been rediculous for a long time with stupid story lines (who is writing this rubish) I have stopped watching for a long while because I was sick of brook being centre statge of every story and excuse me ev en in B&B land a mother having sex with her husband and her husbands father brother, her sisters husbands her dausghter husbands and partners and not being made accuntable is rediculous, come on Mr Bell… its clear to see that Ms brook and more likely the real Katherine is getting fringe benefits that others in the show arent and dont underestimate your viewers understanding and in australia we have a saying “if it looks like shit then it is” you and katherine obiously ARE getting fringe benefits from each other!!
Why dont you just get on with your job and write a decent story line for more characters and perhaps get rid of brook or even get rid of your self and let someone else do the job.
I was never really a Taylor fan…because the show made took a intelligent woman and made her hypocritical and weak. But there were times I felt sorry for her which shows that had the character Taylor been written in a better way who knows where she could have gone. BBell needs to wise up write better stories and give the actors the money they want…because when certain characters leave the show takes a hit.

I am very upset about them leaving. I am so sick of Brooke and her daughter getting everything they want. The story line is so same o same o I can’t watch it anymore. I always know-how going to come out like a rose. There is no characters in the show anymore. Just Brooke and Hope. It has become a story of a old whore who has screwed her way into menopause. I think it is sick that she slept with her sister’s husband. That did it for me. Come on writers u can do better tHan this. Write a story with more than one character. I will not follow the bold and the beautiful again until the characters of Taylor and Steffy return (Jacqueline and Hunter).
Why would the writers of the show not renew their contracts and write storylines that are positive for these two gorgeous women – steffy with lliam and taylor with eric. The ratings would be great. Who wants to watch a story where Brooke always gets the spotlight no matter what she does including sleeping with her sister’s husband and justifying it!!!!
They need to get rid of a few more and get some new characters that have not been through all the men on the show and get some more men and give them some balls, also get off the love triangle is has been for twenty five years, and really get a bit more realistic – where are the independent single men and women all of the B&B characters have got to score within 24hrs of a relationship breakdown
steffy needs to reeeaallly look at what Taylor has done to her face and stop now , her top lip when she smiles is not normal
I was done with this soap when Steffy lost her baby on Mother’s Day! Then they make her barren as well?? Wow, thats really cold. I hated it when they just wrote Ron Moss out without the benefit of an exit scene where he tells the lying, cheating Brooke just why he’s done with her, and I didn’t know how the show would survive, let alone the character of Eric Forrester, without Susan Flannery as Stephanie. In total 4 of the Forrester’s clan are all gone?? Maybe the Bell’s like the Logan sisters at the helm, but that storyline leaves me cold. You can’t hold people’s interest if your characters are constantly immoral, whiny, spoiled and arrogant without letting them get what they deserve. The good guys have to win sometimes. Without their nemesis to battle against, I’m afraid this soap is history for me, and its coming off my recorded show list today, if for no other reason than my loyalty and total endearment to Jacqueline M Woods, Ron Moss, Susan Flannery and Hunter Tylo. I will be watching your sites to view your new projects.
Their mistake was giving Eric/Taylor romance… All they had to do was start a new character line two years ago for Taylor. And the writers should have brought back Steff’ys sister… Sometimes when writing you there’s too much death / drama .. By the way the show is called The Bold and the Beautiful… So what happened to the world of High Fashion Designs many fans have not seen? Where are the Good-Look-Real-Men? What happened. To the writer that were use to seeing / waiting to score the next interview with Forester Creations and their many rielveries? That’s what this shows format was built on. We as fans except the great Stefanie. Forester is gone” but you buried ten other characters/story lines withe her. Fix it before its too late. By the way we have no use for Bill Spencer’s sister or her lifestyle . Real Christians watch your show also…

REPORT: Nicholas Chavez Not Returning to General Hospital
For those who were holding out hope that Daytime Emmy winner and fan favorite, Nicholas Chavez would be returning to General Hospital after filming his leading role in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters anthology, it looks like those hopes have been dashed.
According to a report from TV Line, although unconfirmed from General Hospital or a representative for Chavez, the actor will not reprise his role as Spencer Cassadine on the long-running ABC soap opera and continue the love story of Sprina opposite Tabyana Ali (Trina, GH).
Chavez was cast as Lyle Menendez over the the summer of 2023 for the second season of Murphy’s limited Monsters series on Netflix. In the upcoming season, the series will focus on the the case of Lyle and Erik Menendez, the two well-to-do Beverly Hills brothers accused of murdering their parents in 1989.

After word from Chavez casting was revealed, GH fans were concerned over the fate of the Sprina story, a spokesperson for GH shared, “We support Nicholas’ endeavors and look forward to having him return to General Hospital once this project is wrapped.”
In story, the series “killed off” Spencer when he went overboard with Esme to the steely waters below after being injected with a drug, thanks to Esme and falling into the Seine River in France. However, his body was never recovered, and believed to have drowned or washed away. Thus, leaving an opening for Spencer to return in the form of Chavez or be recast down the line.

TV Line shared that ‘multiple sources’ are confirming that Chavez is not returning to the ABC soap opera, which is what many had suspected might be the case once he left for this major starring role in a Ryan Murphy project. Chavez has been relatively quiet on social media for months.

The Michael Fairman Channel spoke with Nicholas Chavez for a virtual interview when he first joined the show in 2021, and spoke to him right after when he won the Daytime Emmy in 2022 – you can see those below.
No word yet on when Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story will debut on Netflix, but it is assumed later this year.

DAYS and ‘Supernatural’ Alum Jensen Ackles Joins the Cast of Justin Hartley’s CBS Series ‘Tracker’
Look who’s joining Justin Hartley’s hit freshman drama, Tracker! None other than another soap alum, former Days of our Lives and Supernatural favorite Jensen Ackles.
In a reveal via Hartley’s Instagram on Thursday, Ackles is set to play Hartley’s on-screen brother on the CBS procedural drama. In Tracker, Colter Shaw is estranged from his brother, Russell, which has been a big part of the mystery of season one.
Ackles is best known for his long run as Dean Winchester in The CW’s Supernatural, a role he reprised in the prequel of the series The Winchesters. He also recently starred in ABC’s Big Sky as Sheriff Beau Arlen and in The Boys as Soldier Boy.

Jensen was the original Eric Brady on Days of our Lives, a role he played from 1997-2000, before departing for the world of primetime and film. Eric was in love with Nicole played by Arianne Zucker. The part of Eric was recast with Greg Vaughan taking over the role in 2012.

In his Instagram post, Justin thanked everyone for watching Tracker, and then revealed Ackles as the surprise casting announcement in the role of Russell, while Jensen was playing pinball in the video! No word yet on when Jensen’s first episode as Russell will air. Stay tuned.

Jack Wagner Open to Making an Appearance in ‘Melrose Place’ Reboot and Shares, “You Never Really Die on a Soap”
With the Melrose Place revival the talk of the town, now Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco, GH, ex-Nick, B&B and ex-Peter Burns, MP) has weighed-in on it and if he would show up in the new series if it should find a home.
Currently, CBS Studios is developing a reboot starring Heather Locklear, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton. But what is Dr. Peter Burns were to show up alive?
As those who saw the end of the original MP know, Peter and Amanda (Locklear) faked their deaths and then tied the knot with Peter on a beach, supposedly in a “happily ever after” scenario.

Speaking with PEOPLE, Wagner expressed, what we all know who watch the soaps, that no one is never, ever really gone for good. Jack expressed, “You never really die on a soap, right? How they unfold those two characters (Peter and Amanda), it’d be fantastic how they sort of tell that story.”
Wagner added, “That was a great finale to be included in, especially with Heather. If I’m asked to come back, I’d absolutely entertain that.”

The original Melrose Place aired for seven seasons from 1992 to 1999. The story featured the residents of an apartment complex, whose lives were intertwined. Eventually Wagner and Heather Locklear dated fro 2007-2011.
As previously reported, the new Melrose Place share that some of original neighbors and friends reunite after a death. The loglines add, “The pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”
