Joshua Morrow Chats On His Latest Film GOLDEN SHOES And Y&R Drama With Nick & Sage, Adam, and Baby Boy Newman!

The Young and the Restless Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman) while in the middle of major Newman drama on the CBS daytime drama series, can also be seen in a new movie which debuted this week on DVD and On Demand … Golden Shoes. The film from Anchor Bay Entertainment is a feel good story soccer tale which truly illustrates, “The greatest goal is believing!”
In Golden Shoes, Morrow plays a young father missing in action in the war in Afghanistan who longs to be reunited with his family. His young son Christian played by Christian Koza aspires to be a world class soccer player, but suffers intense bullying at school. When things get even bleaker, he turns to some very special shoes that help reunite his family and an entire nation!
Meanwhile on Y&R, Nick just learned the shocking truth that Gabriel Bingham is his brother Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) back-from-the-dead! And that the woman he loves, and the mother of “his” child, knew about it for over a year, and said nothing! Now with bombshells dropping all around him, and determined to help his father Victor (Eric Braeden) stave off the effects of the Paragon Project virus unleashed to destroy the family empire, Nick is back in action in the corporate world. But what will he do, if and when he finds out his new little boy who is fighting for his life is actually not his bio-child, but his deceitful brother, Adam’s?
On-Air On-Soaps chatted with Joshua to get some insight into what to look for in his new film, and his thoughts on the hot plots airing this week on Y&R!
In Golden Shoes you play George Larou who is deployed to Afghanistan, and his eight-year-old son tries to cope with his father being away, and his mother is being hospitalized. The young boy turns to playing soccer to cope, something he has dreamed about doing like his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo!

Courtesy/AnchorBayEntertainment
JOSHUA: Yes, but when my character goes to Afghanistan, Christian is not doing great. He is struggling, and he is lonely, and trying to figure out his way. Then he finds these golden shoes that essentially make him amazing in soccer, but essentially the soccer was in him the whole time.
And throughout Golden Shoes is George trying to get home to his family and his son who misses him so badly?
JOSHUA: My character is deployed and pinned in, and is pinned down in this bunker and trying to find my way out of it The whole time George just wants to get back to his family, and essentially, I am able to get out of there and get home.
Eric Roberts is also featured in this film. This is the second opportunity you have had to work with him, since Eric did appear on Y&R for awhile!
JOSHUA: Yes, what a great guy. I got the opportunity to do some courtroom scenes when he was on Y&R playing Vance, and at that time he had never done a soap in a very long very time (Roberts was on Another World early in his career). I did not have to give him any tips, of course. (Laughs) Eric is a wily veteran, and was so good. When we were working on the movie it was cool to reminisce with him about his time at Y&R. I loved working with him. I think we had a really strong cast in this movie!
The film has a very strong cast in it including: Vivica A. Fox, John Wesley Shipp, John Rys Davies, Dina Mayer, and even Montel Williams! What was it like to go off and film this, because we know you love your day job in Genoa City?

Courtesy/AnchorBayEntertainment
JOSHUA: I enjoyed doing it, and any chance I get to go off and do something like that it’s really fun. I think we made this movie closer to three years ago, but now it’s finally out, and it’s a good little kid’s movie. My sons enjoyed it. It’s about sports, and it has a good message to it about dreaming and never giving up. I actually took my sons with me when I filmed the movie, and they got to play extras as soccer players in it. They were really excited to be a part of this movie and my dad came as well. It was actually a great week. We shot it in Michigan and the weather was amazing. It was a really cool experience to share with my sons and my dad.
I have to say this week’s episodes of Y&R which featured the Adam Reveal have been absolutely phenomenal. What did you think about how it all unfolded?

Courtesy/CBS
JOSHUA: It’s been great, and they have been hanging on to that story for awhile, and Justin Hartley has been doing such an amazing job as Adam. It just showed the ability of our cast and it was really, really a great story to tell. I thought they did it perfectly. I was very proud of the performances.
I also thought the scene between Nick and Sage (Kelly Sullivan), when Victoria (Amelia Heinle) pulls the rug out from under Sage, was great. Sage basically admits her part in the Adam/Gabriel Bingham deception, and then when Nick doubts that the baby is his, she says, basically whatever the case, she has having a Newman baby. Does Nick truly believe it is his biological child?
JOSHUA: I don’t know, but I think due to the fact that she has been so dishonest with him, there is a question. But I do believe in Nick’s heart, he thinks the baby is his. Sage says to him, “You know whose baby this is.” It was such a beautiful line and well-delivered by Kelly. I don’t think Nick fully believes it’s not his.
So does this mean … Nick will be a doofus again? (Laughs)
JOSHUA: Well, it’s his comfort zone! (Laughs)

Courtesy/CBS
Another great moment came in a scene between you and Eric Braeden (Victor) when Victor comes to the Underground for a drink post the Adam reveal, and the two of them commiserate as they clink glasses. Nick then says something along the lines of: “We’re Newmans. Adam doesn’t deserve the name.” What is it like working with Eric in those scenes which illustrates the dynamic of their father and son?
JOSHUA: I love that the show tells the story about Nick wanting to be his own man, and to be away from his father and live his life on his own terms. However, I think Y&R is at its best when it shows the Newmans rallying around each other, and closing the ranks, and realizing that they are big targets. People are always out to get them. Nick is always looking for his dad’s approval despite what he feels and projects to everyone. When those two come together, it’s just great television. I thought the scenes were perfectly written, especially when they show the true father/son relationship.
It’s a great relationship, because when the chips are down, these Newman men are there for each other!
JOSHUA: That’s the way it is always is. They are two different dudes, and Nick tries to carve his own way, but I love when they band together … and have to fight together.

Courtesy/CBS
Now Sage had the baby, Adam delivered it, and it’s a boy! Nick is always finding himself embroiled in a paternity pickle! (Laughs)
JOSHUA: His kids are always in peril. I have always said the most unsafe job in daytime is to be one of my children! (Laughs) You just never know what’s going to happen to you, but you will see. Fans should continue to check it out, it is a great story. I think they outline it perfectly for the viewers. I can promise you it’s going to be really, really great television for the next month. We are shooting stuff now that will knock your socks off!
Will Adam and Nick come to blows over Sage, the baby, and his duplicity at some point?
JOSHUA: We will see! Looks like everyone in town has taken a couple of shots at Adam, and Nick truly despises his brother. It is one of my most favorite relationships on the show. So if that’s the way they want to go with it, I look forward to it. It’s an interesting relationship, so I look forward to seeing where they go from here.

Courtesy/CBS
Kelly Sullivan got to step up to the plate this week, and had some meaty material to play. Her performance was spot on! What can you say about working with Kelly?
JOSHUA: Kelly is phenomenal. I absolutely love working with her. She has a great sense of humor and attitude about being on this job. She’s extremely professional, but she doesn’t take herself too seriously. She’s a great, great woman and an awesome actress. She is doing stuff in the next couple of weeks that has not aired yet that is just insane. So, the viewers are going to get quite a healthy dose of Kelly Sullivan. I guarantee they will enjoy it!
Will you be checking out Joshua’s new famiuly film, Golden Shoes with its inspirational message? What do you think about the drama this week on Y&R between Nick and Sage, and Nick and Adam? What do you think about the latest paternity pickle with the newest Newman boy? Share your thoughts below, but first check out the official trailer to Golden Shoes!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

It’s a milestone we couldn’t let pass by without taking some time to celebrate as a family (and, of course… eating some cake). 🍰 We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.”
WHAT WILL HAPPEN ON THE 16,000th Episode?
The 16,000th episode will feature Jason Morgan returning to the town of Port Charles, Anna and Valentin (James Patrick Stewart) reuniting, and a new surgeon, Dr. Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) joining the staff of ‘General Hospital.’

Will definitely check Golden Shoes. But not feelin Nage or the baby. Kelly may be cool but Y&or took away Phick, Avery & Sharon. Left us with a rehash of Phick ( Back door Paragon computer issue) ; baby born in the park by Adam ( Remember Summer’s birth?). The writers continue to show favor to JP’s picks. Just tired of it!!! Let Sage either go away or go with someone else. Insulting! And by the way Sage may love Nick- but don’t see Nick lovin her. She’s just the baby mama.
Yeah, Saundra, I can certainly see what you’re saying. But, Nick is no saint. I have developed such a dislike for him versus the crush I used to have on him as a tween and beyond. He has that Newman attitude of lording it over people, just like his father and sister. He acts first and thinks later. And, his words can kill.
Poor Nick! Methinks that Sharon’s and Patty’s doctor is a past lover of Nick’s. She has had plastic surgery and is on the warpath, causing havoc for Nick and all his past lovers and wives. Add Sage to that list. If the writers DARE for this nutso doctor near Christian, that would be too much to bear. I hope ‘they’ stop with Le Marquis de Sade experiments.
CeeCee, ALL men act first and think later! Here is my theory. Sharon’s doctor’s real name is Sandra Allen. She broke her neck at a pool party at the Newman Ranch! After dozens of surgeries she was able to walk again. Nick was unable to track her down. Victor paid all her hospital bills and paid her family off! She is back and looking to get revenge on Nick ANY way she can!
@Timmm.
Yes!!!!! Of course!!!’. It must be she. I figured it was a woman from Nick’s past gone crazy on revenge, due to a broken heart. A woman scorned is a dangerous woman, indeed!! Now, you have solved the mystery. Eurika. You make the most sense, Timmm. Great call.
Indeed, Timm! Great call. I think and hope you’re spot on right here.
Every soap opera JFP goes to she starts bringing on her friends that’s why we call them FOJ’s ! TB/Lauren has been with this show since forever still looks like a million bucks and is a great actress when she is given material but yet no story and we bring another character on Jensen Buchanan next month . Why? Because she is a FOJ!
I adore Joshua, and have for over 20 years. Hes a great guy, family fan, and actor. He can do no wrong with me. It was great seeing him at the fc event in August again and catch up.
I agree Eileen. Nick is not my favorite Y&R character but JM is my favorite cast member on the show. He’s also a laid back, funny guy and a big time sports fan too. Looks like he’d be a blast to be friends with which is what I like about him.
Hes great. When I lived in Nashville he always called me his Tenn. woman, now Im in Vegas so Im his Vegas lady, lol. He loves Tobi and his 4 kids and his family. He walks the walk and talks the talk.
????
Eileen, when you see Patty and Sharon in the rec room, do tell them I said hello.
I feel bad for JM, He keeps on trying to lift up Kelly Sullivan and her character in hopes that we will like her, but I do not care how professional she is or isn’t…Her character sucks, SICK is as dull as bricks. This newbie is sucking up the airtime because she is a favorite…Just move it on already!
Faith..
There are many not in your ”we” that really like Kelly Sullivan, I am one..
Kelly is a very great actor!
Now that Kelly actually has a story and the opportunity to bring forth her acting, she will indeed be phenomenal.
Wait for it 🙂
I’m with you, su. I love Ms Sullivan….her acting is up there with the best of them. People do tend to generalize. But it is Faith’s opinion and she has a voice….rightfully so.
Nonetheless, the way I see it? Kelly does not need ‘lifting up’. She can hold her own; certainly without Joshua to make her look good. I’m sure he’s a great guy ( gorgeous to boot), but his Newman name is starting to raise its ugly head. His words to her were pungent.
Thank you, Su0000 another voice heard.
They could change that though. It’s not KS’s fault. Did you watch her on GH? She can do anything! They are just writing her kind if boring, which makes me wonder if they’re going to kill her off or something. I hope not. She is fantastic and deserves to have something awesome to sink her teeth into.
Actually it would have been kind of nice to have seen them kill her off in childbirth and have Nick have a healthy baby boy instead of this crap. At least it would have been something new.
Your right, this character is wrong, the actress is phenomenal! Her Connie/ Kate character on GH was fantastic. She should have won an Emmy for her dual role and was tipped off! On Y&R, she is disposable.
Sorry, RIPPED off!
Chuck Pratts writing is boring for all the cast. All he wants to write are crises, explosions, crashes and the like. For real people, hes at a loss.
Shes A FAVORITE for a reason, shes a great actress. U dont like her cause u want Nick with someone else. OK. but Sage is not boring.
Sage is boring to me, Eileen and a host of other people too. You cannot argue against our reaction and say it’s not so. If the character is not salivating over Nicholas she is rabidly hysterical about losing him. The other day the mother-in-law from hell was all over Sage with hugs, kisses and unconditional love–things which she never once gave Sharon. Why? I think Nikki recognizes herself in Sage for as horrid and emotionally abusive as Nicholas can be, Sage always bows down and begs like a passive and obedient little dog. See, Page is as much of a co dependent to Nicholas as Nikki has been for Victor.
And we can blame the writing for the failure of Sage to resonate with viewers all we want, but I am afraid Kelly Sullivan has shown nary a spark of charisma or life which might help her rise above the writing.
Suffice to say, when she is on the screen I fast foward through that scene.
Harry, I dont understand why u are ALWAYS so sarcastic and cutting to me. Why is it so hard for u to grasp the concept of someone knowing these actors on a personal level? With over 20 years of events and PA’s, why wouldnt a person have friendships? I guess the next time Im with one of them at dinner, Ill take a selfie with them, and u can send me ur email and Ill post it to you. I dont treat U that way.
Shes a favorite for a very good reason.
That’s your opinion and you are entitled to it. I am not a major fan of her acting or character (Kelly Sullivan). However, I believe that she would be a wonder addition to Saturday Night Live. So to all 12 of her defenders I mean fans defend away. Attacking me for not being part of her 12 member fan base is not going to move me whatsoever!
Ur funny, Faith, hate on her all u want but Kelly certainly has a bigger fan base than 12, if u dont like her, fine. Arguing with u is like talking to a wall, anyway.
You do the same thing, Eileen. You can be very sarcastic to me. The thing is, I bite back. So, if you do not want sarcasm directed your way, then you should not bandy it around either.
You know these actors? Well, good for you. So, what makes it so hard for you to believe with whom I associate or who I know? Your comment to me about Donald Trump was uncalled for….out of line. I live in the Hamptons….I cross paths with many people. But, you are posturing, thinking of impressing U.S. with the fact you know some of these actors. Frankly, Scarlet, I am not impressed. Who cares? Is this fact supposed to make you special….or important, in some way.
I can also tell you that albeit I do not know Harry personally, I grasp much just by reading some of these comments. Harry is a highly educated gentleman, who, as myself, takes pride in the English language. Is it so hard for you, to type out the entire word? YOU???bthere is an art in writing; take pride in it.
Furthermore, you just did it again. You just insulted Faith. ” talking to a brick wall”? Who do you think you are by lording it over people? Faith wasn’t arguing with anyone. She merely offered an opinion. But, unless it is in accordance with yours, then it is wrong; which, in your cynical eyes, makes her stubborn. Unbelievable.. Yeah, say hi to Joshua.
Good for you, Faith. I appreciate your post. I keep saying this. We agree or disagree with each other’s opinions. It is an opinion…it doesn’t mean any of us is right or wrong. I respect anything anyone has to offer. Just as I indicated, I don’t agree with how we see Kelly/Sage, but I did say you are entitled to your opinion. But, you must admit that people do generalize. All is well. Peace.
I seriously hope they don’t kill the baby or have it be Adam’s. Even my husband who tries really hard to not be around when I’m watching y&r walked in today, saw the baby in the incubator and said “Man, Nick has some baaad luck. Nothing ever goes right for that dude.” then walked out.
Oh, please,….no more dead babies. I wasn’t even able to watch the last part in NICU. Too close for comfort. And, yeah, Ash, it would be a change, and certainly a novel idea if, for once, a healthy baby were born more often on these shows. Why does there have to always be some kind of trauma at every childbirth?
I know EXACTLY what you mean! Plus I’m 7.5 months pregnant, so I was sitting there saying “Hold on baby boy! I don’t want to see you in that situation. Sniffffle!” I’m starting to miss the humor our show used to have. Remember the funny scenes with Mrs. C and Jill? They try to do it with Jill and Esther but Jill just picks on Esther. And Billy used to be funny but isn’t super funny anymore. Anyway, I’m ok with baby drama to an extent, like Summer being born in an elevator, but seeing a tiny baby fighting for their life in an incubator is too sad for me.
Oh, Ashley, congratulations! And, I wish you the best. Everything is fine with you, I’m sure. My youngest is 17 months. I would never say anything disturbing to an expectant mother, so…..I wish a healthy baby for you. But, I know how emotional it must be for you. You probably cry over every little thing, as pregnancy will do that. It’s getting close. LOL. A Christmas baby!! My six-year old is a Christmas baby….what a coincidence! Lol.
As I keep saying, I do not recognize this show anymore. Lol, Billy? I can’t even bring myself to call him Billy. Ugh. And Jill is stuck in LaLaLand, with her childish infatuation with Colin. I am enjoying the show right now with the Adam reveal. Hartley is just perfect for this role. I really like him, but I hope he sends Chelsea packing….just as she is doing; this holier than though, goody two shoes.
I am happy for Josh and agree with his TV Dad, Eric Braeden that he could have easily landed a starring in a TV sitcom.
I am afraid I agree with the others pertaining to Kelly Sullivan. Sage has no personality–if she is not all hysterical about landing Nick she is gloating with her pregnancy glow. Either way she is insufferable and I find myself fast forwarding through any scenes in which she is featured.
My hope is that Baby Christian Andrew Newman lives while his mother passes on. Sage is a colossal flop.
The odd thing is I liked Kelly Sullivan as Connie on GH. She just never seemed to find her identity as Sage.
I think KS was great on GH but this character is not good. KS is doing the best she can with this rotten writing but it is making her have to OVERACT and I think that is why Sage is rubbing folks the wrong way. I wish that hadn’t had Nick marry her for a change. In this day and age folks don’t have to get married with a baby on the way. He barely KNOWS her. I mean at least with Sharon and Phyllis he knew them BEFORE he married them. I hope that Sage leaves Genoa City by the end of 2015 but from what I hear she is a darling of JFP and CP so I don’t think that’s going to happen. If anything she will just get more airtime.
I thought Sage and Adam had more chemistry together.
Y&R has been so good lately, I can’t wait to see what November Sweeps may bring! The only storyline I can’t get into is the Winters family. That bore Darvon and creepy Neil is just awful.
As for Kelly Sullivan as Sage I agree with the other posters that she is just not catching on. I loved her as Connie on GH but Sage must go. When you’re hoping a character dies in childbirth, and the kid doesn’t make it either…the storyline is a huge flop and we should just pretend Sage and the baby never existed IMO.
I feel just the opposite. I really like Sage but I can’t stand Nick. I think J.M. may very well be a great guy but Nick makes me ill. He married Sharon out of school & ran around on her with her best friend a couple of times, when Cassie died and Sharon needed him he ran around with Phyllis. The last time he was with Sharon he was going to marry her and she couldn’t remember that she changed Summer’s paternity test. She even sen a doctor over it. He told her he loved her & being back there in that house with her was like being home and nothing could change that. He found out & dumped her. How many times has he taken Faith to live with him. I think he’s an ass and I hope the baby Sage had is Adam’s. I hope her & Adam get together and tell Nick & Chelsea where to get off.
Nick may have been unfaithful but so was Sharon — remember Raoul’s brother Diego and Cameron Kirsten? As for his dumping her when found out about tampering with Summer’s paternity test, I couldn’t believe he even took her back after she married his half-brother and his father — GROSS!
No comparison, those were after Nick cheated and when she thought Nick cheated again.
Agreed Alan … no way he should have EVER taken her back after she was with his FATHER!
I betcha Josh and Steve are great guys in person but never really liked Nick and cannot stand Dullyn!
@Timmm, ditto.
I second that emotion…lol.
Again, Nikki. Meeting of the minds, you and I. LOL.
The sad part of this is there are only about 3 woman in this whole show that I would want to be related to. We have Sharon depending on the day they write her as crazy. Chelsea too darn pushy wanting perfection from Adam but she’s hardly perfection. We have Victoria who thinks her poop doesn’t stink. We have Ashley who’s too serious. Then there is Phyllis too pushy.Nikki who’s got a drinking problem and she’s Victor’s puppet.Marisa ,you never really know what’s true or not, Lily makes me think of velcro, (where you going Cane, who we’re you talking too, what did they want etc.)Summer I’ve never liked from day one all she does is whine or cry.Hilary can’t make up her mind. Abby’s usually off her rocker.Ester is too emotional. Mariah started off mean but she’s coming around. Now that leaves three normal people I would bother with in that whole town, Lauren, Sage, and Traci Abbott. Now I think if Sage doesn’t make it in Genoa City it’s because she’s to nice & too normal.
nick and sharon belong together. period.
That’s right CeeCee. We both have favorites that most may dislike or like. But at the end of the day we don’t want to see YR cancelled inspite some of these storylines…lol
I SOOOOOOOO Prefer Nick with SAGE!!! Sharon can leave the show any day! They keep trying to make her relevant, but she just isn’t anymore! The Chemistry with Sage is GREAT! I also think Adam and Chelsea have WONDERFUL Chemistry! These two couples are WHY I WATCH!
Dylan has been the biggest disappointment. What a boring, idiot! Can’t do anything right, has no brain, sachet’s into every scene like “I’m here, drool …” and no substance …. Send him BACK TO GH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He isn’t fitting in GC….. Another JFP disaster!
I used to be a huge fan of Bill Bell’s Y&R and the families he created, especially, the Newmans and the Abbotts. Now Bill Bell’s show has been reduced to prop driven storylines and Bill Bell’s characters are no longer recognizable. With Charles Pratt’s writing style, long term characters are fitted into storylines for the sake of moving his prop driven, shock and awe, plots. It is really obvious with each regime by now that they are more inclined to tell new stories with their new characters and want their own couples, too, as in the case of Nick and Sage. It is very obvious that the Sharon character is not favored at all and that this regime does not want to write a positive storyline for Sharon Newman only. Instead, Sharon is still being held down by the writers with no end in sight of Sharon ever recovering from everything she has endured with all the writing regimes (Marie Latham, Marie Bell, Josh Griffit, and now Charles Pratt) and the character destruction continues. They have given a convenient illness (bipolar) to Sharon character to keep writing her very negative. She is not allowed to have her own life back with a career of her own and basically a life of her own with her daughter, Faith. Sharon would have a meanful life raising her young daughter Faith and building a relationship with Mariah and having mother-daughters scenes and Noah visiting his mother and Faith. There is a storyline that the writers could easily tapped into with Sharon building a new life or getting on with her own life. Why is that so hard to comprehend? It is not fair to the fans of this character, Sharon. We have been totally pushed aside while the other fan bases have been catered to with their favorite characters benefitting with more happier and uplifting stories such as Nick Newman. He gets to win all the time.. Sharon suffered under the previous regime with her in the mental institution (where she is again) and her baby stolen by Adam. She’s already lost a lot in life with the death of her daughter, Cassie, too, and her decade family life with Nick. Now, she has bipolar and in a never ending cycle of despair and no hope of her ever having a happy life again. There was a chance with Dylan and a new baby, but now that is gone, too. Sharon was thrown under the bus for Nick’s own paternity mess he started and hid for the entire childhood years of Summer. To save Nick’s reputation, Sharon was thrown into his paternity s/l to take the heat off of him and yet now they are writing Sharon or leading towards the same scenario with Sharon possibly ending up with Sage’s baby. WHY? If Nick can be written moving on, Why Not Sharon? It is so unfair.
Well I cant stand Sage with her fake a@@ and I don’t give a darn who don’t like. I am a Shick fan and I don’t care who knows or has a problem. Am I biased maybe, but no other woman has been good enough in my eyes to replace Sharon with Nick. And for those who think Shick is boring its certainly not because of Sharon its Nicks uninteresting butt who is never interesting on his own!
Huge fan of Kelly Sullivan she is doing a great job as Sage. She had a paternity test. Nicholas is his Dad. Thank you Michael I will check out GOLDEN SHOES, so far not on DirecTV demand. My kind of movie.
